ABSTRACT The current study aims to prove the conventions of stage theater in the virtual performance of “Arkanti” by Teater Koma. Virtual performances were conducted by Teater Koma to continue producing art works during the Covid-19 pandemic. Conventions of realism theater are used to further observe stage idioms in the performance. An understanding of technical matters in a theatrical performance is also considered which include acting patterns, scenes, staging, wardrobe, make-up, and lighting. The elements are analyzed to see how they differ from films. Virtual performance of “Arkanti” is us

Abstract The amplituhedron $\mathcal{A}_{n,k,4}$ A n , k , 4 is a geometric object, introduced by Arkani-Hamed and Trnka (2013) in the study of scattering amplitudes in quantum field theories. They conjecture that $\mathcal{A}_{n,k,4}$ A n , k , 4 admits a decomposition into images of BCFW positroid cells, arising from the Britto–Cachazo–Feng–Witten recurrence (2005). The negative specific heat of a radiating black hole is indicative of a cataclysmic endpoint to the evaporation process. In this letter, we suggest a simple mechanism for circumventing such a dramatic outcome. The basis for our argument is a conjecture that was recently proposed by Arkani-Hamed and collaborators. To put it another way, we use their notion of "Gravity as the Weakest Force" as a means of inhibiting the process of black hole evaporation.

In 2005, Britto, Cachazo, Feng, and Witten gave a recurrence (now known as the BCFW recurrence) for computing scattering amplitudes in N = 4 super Yang–Mills theory. Arkani-Hamed and Trnka subsequently introduced the amplituhedron to give a geometric interpretation of the BCFW recurrence. Arkani-Hamed and Trnka conjectured that each way of iterating the BCFW recurrence gives a “triangulation” or “tiling” of the m=4 amplituhedron. In this article, we prove the BCFW tiling conjecture of Arkani-Hamed and Trnka. We also prove the cluster adjacency conjecture for BCFW tiles of the amplituhedron, wh

In this essay, I invoke the age-old conflict between the “two cultures” of art and science (C. P. Drawing upon some ideas that surfaced during a recent public conversation held between the novelist Ian McEwan and the theoretical physicist Nima Arkani-Hamed, I suggest that although performers and analysts express themselves in very different languages, they are both pursuing the art of interpretation, and a deeper acknowledgm

AbstractA new construction of the associahedron was recently given by Arkani‐Hamed, Bai, He, and Yan in connection with the physics of scattering amplitudes. We show that their construction (suitably understood) can be applied to construct generalized associahedra of any simply laced Dynkin type. Unexpectedly, we also show that this same construction produces Newton polytopes for all the ‐polynomials of the corresponding cluster algebras. In addition, we show that the toric variety associated to the ‐vector fan has the property that its nef cone is simplicial.

We show that the generalized associahedra constructed by Padrol, Palu, Pilaud, and Plamondon, building on ideas from Arkani‐Hamed, Bai, He, and Yan, can be naturally viewed as moment polytopes for an open patch of the quotient of the cluster ‐variety with universal coefficients by its maximal natural torus action. We prove our result by showing that the construction of Padrol, Palu, Pilaud, and Plamondon can be understood on the basis of the wa

Abstract Scattering of two Kerr Black Holes emitting gravitational waves can be captured by an effective theory of a massive higher-spin field interacting with the gravitational field. While other compact objects should activate a multitude of non-minimal interactions it is the black holes that should be captured by the simplest minimal interaction. Implementing massive higher-spin symmetry via a string-inspired BRST approach we construct an action that reproduces the correct cubic amplitude of Arkani-Hamed-Huang-Huang. Abstract Arkani-Hamed and collaborators have recently shown that scattering amplitudes for colored theories can be expressed as integrals over combinatorial objects simply constructed from surfaces decorated by kinematic data. In this paper we extend the curve integral formalism to theories with colored fermionic matter and present a compact formula for the all-loop, all-genus, all-multiplicity amplitude integrand of a colored Yukawa theory. The curve integral formalism makes certain properties of the amplitudes manifest and repackages non-trivial numerators into a single combinatorial object.

As was pointed out by S. Karp, Theorem B of paper [V. Sedykh and B. Shapiro, On two conjectures concerning convex curves, Int. J. Math. 16(10) (2005) 1157–1173] is wrong. Its claim is based on an erroneous example obtained by multiplication of three concrete totally positive [Formula: see text] upper-triangular matrices, but the order of multiplication of matrices used to produce this example was not the correct one. Below we present a right statement which claims the opposite to that of Theorem B. Its proof can be essentially found in a recent paper [N. Arkani-Hamed, T. Lam and M. Spradlin, N

Recently, Arkani-Hamed proposed the existence of zeros in scattering amplitudes in certain quantum field theories including the cubic adjoint scalar theory Tr(ϕ3), the SU(N) nonlinear sigma model and Yang-Mills theory. These hidden zeros are special kinematic points where the amplitude vanishes and factorizes into a product of lower-point amplitudes, similar to factorization near poles. In this paper, we show a close connection between the existence of such zeros and the double-copy map. In fact, compatibility with the Bern-Carrasco-Johansson relations requires the presence of these zeros. We
