Abstract: Acceptance sampling plans were evaluated to draw valid conclusions regarding lots of finished products. Based on the assumption that the variable under consideration is distributed according to a Frechet distribution, CASP-CUSUM schemes are presented here for optimizing Type-C OC curves and ARLs. The Truncated Frechet distribution, its Type-C OC curve values, and ARL values at different shapes parameters were determined under this assumption. Finally, we determined an optimal CASP-CUSUM scheme that maximizes PA. Keywords: CASP – CUSUM Schemes, Type-C OC curves, ARL Values, Truncated

Control charts comprise an excellent statistical process control tool for monitoring industrial processes. Especially, the CUSUM control chart is very sensitive to small-to-moderate process parameter changes. The proposed approach utilizes the numerical integral equation (NIE) method to approximate the average run length (ARL) of changes in the mean of a seasonal time series model with underlying exponential white noise running on a CUSUM control chart. This was achieved by solving a system of linear equations and integration through partitioning and summation using the area under the curve of

In particular, this resolution implies that the dimensions of the graded components M(f)k are constant for k ≥ 2d − 3.Then we show that the Milnor algebra of a nodal plane curve C has such a behaviour if and only if all the irreducible components of C are rational. For the Chebyshev curves, all of these components are in addition smooth, hence they are lines or conics and explicit factorizations are given in this case.

This chapter is followed by an examination of curves in R2, and the resultant adjustment of the Frenet-Serret equations. We then prove the rotation index for closed, plane curves is an integer and for simple, closed, plane curves is ±1. If p(A) + p(B) is obtuse, then there exists a special orthogonal matrix S such that {A, SBS^(-1)} is indefinite. Of course, if A and B commute, then {A, B} is positive definite. ‘Geometry of curved spaces’ shows that the curvature of a curve is an extrinsic property that is visible to people when it is viewed sitting on the plane and can be defined as a curve on the Euclidean plane. German mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss discovered that curvature is an intrinsic property of the surface in 1828. Gauss called it Theorema Egregium, which translates from Latin as Remarkable Theorem. The extrinsic curvature of curves, defines Gaussian curvature can be computed intrinsically. Can we obtain simple yet accurate dynamic characterizations and forecasts? Theoretically, what governs and restricts yield curve shape and evolution? Can we relate yield curves to macroeconomic fundamentals and central bank behavior? The discussions cover three interest rate curves, zero-coupon yields, yield curve facts, yield curve factors, and yield curve questions.

The magnetic properties of iron cores of contemporary electrical devices, such as current transformers, are highly nonlinear. This work proposes a simple modelling method for the nonlinear magnetic properties using piecewise Bézier curves. An anhysteretic curve is modelled with three measured points. Two second order Bézier curves are joined to form a composite curve based on those measured points. The modelled curve was then compared with a measured anhysteretic curve of a commercial electrical steel sheet. The presented results confirm that this approach with piecewise Bézier curves shows hi

Abstract:
Several Phillips curves based on sticky information and sticky prices are estimated and compared using Bayesian VAR-GMM. This method derives expectations in each Phillips curve from a VAR and estimates the Phillips curve parameters and the VAR coefficients simultaneously. Quasi-marginal likelihood-based model comparison selects a dual stickiness Phillips curve in which, each period, some prices remain unchanged, consistent with micro evidence. Moreover, sticky information is a more plausible source of inflation inertia in the Phillips curve than other sources proposed in previous studies. Stic

Author’s methodology of forming modeling skills involves 4 steps: Step 1 – the teacher step by step constructs the curve by means of cloud based service GeoGebra; Step 2 – the teacher offers a description- definition of the curve and provides a ready-made algorithm by which students model the curve inde- pendently in GeoGebra; Step 3 – the teacher offers an algorithm for constructing a curve model, and students need to characterize the properties of the curve or give its definition based on the results, Step 4 – students are offered definitions of curves that they have to model in GeoGebra). Abstract:
Among the most relevant applications of the definite integral in functions of a real variable are the computation of areas in non-regular flat regions and measuring distances along curved paths, which are widely employed in engineering and physics. These notes present the concept of definite integration, emphasizing its connection to calculating the area under a curve, as well as the arc length formula and its practical application for length measurement. Problem scenarios are introduced to illustrate the utility of these concepts, aiming to provide a solid understanding of the topics and thei

Abstract:
This document presents a Gaussian Affine Term Structure Model (GATSM) of the zero-coupon public debt curve issued locally by the Colombian Government, adopting the methodological approach of Hamilton and Wu (2012) to solve the problems of identification and instability in the estimation of this family of models. Two empirical exercises are presented to highlight the relevance of this methodological approach. The first combines the GATSM structure with a Bayesian Averaging of Classical Estimates (BACE) approach to forecast the yield curve given a set of macroeconomic variables, thus offering a

Abstract:
We establish that the Phillips curve is persistence-dependent: inflation responds differently to persistent versus moderately persistent (or versus transient) fluctuations in the unemployment rate gap. This persistence-dependent relationship appears to align with business-cycle stages and is thus consistent with existing theory. Previous work fails to model this dependence, thereby finding numerous "inflation puzzles" – e.g., missing inflation/disinflation – noted in the literature. Our specification eliminates these puzzles; for example, the Phillips curve has not weakened, nor was inflation
