Elle est le principe meme de la chartreuse. La chartreuse est une reprise hypertrophiee, et inversee, d'armance. A travers armance de stendhal et l'interdiction de balzac, nous etudions les moyens d'acquisition (1ere et 2eme sections) et d'expression (3eme section) de la connaissance de l'autre. Deux moyens de connaissance sont analyses: 1) le dechiffrement a distance des signes emis par l'autre, que nous etudions en utilisant la semiotique et la logique de peirce, notamment les concepts d'induction, de deduction et d'hypothese; 2) le dialogue. 1) dans l'interdiction, le personnage se manifeste par un grand nombre d'indices homogenes. Tous les signes indiquent la meme chose a l'observateur: le type ou le role thematique que le personnage incarne. Dans armance, les indices sont rares et n'indiquent aucun role dans le cas des heros. 2) lorsqu'un dialogue s'instaure avec l'autre a connaitre, il permet encore d'identifier son role thematique, dans balzac. Mais pour les personnages d'armance, l'echange de la parole a souvent des effets negatifs. Pour que le dialogue permette une connaissance, certes, partielle, de l'un par l'autre, il faut qu'une distance, reelle ou symbolique, s'instaure entre les sujets, et que le locuteur parlant de lui-meme ait recours a la narration, plutot qu'a la description. 3) en effet, s'il doit exprimer ce qu'il est, ou exprimer ce qu'est l'autre, le personnage a plus ou moins heureusement recours a tel ou tel type de discours. Aux personnages. .
Through stendhal's armance and balzac's interdiction we are able to study the ways in which we obtain knowledge of the other (1st and 2nd parts) and, consequently, the means by which this jnowledge is expressed. Two ways of obtaining knowledge are analyzed: 1) the decoding of the signs emitted by the other, which we shall consider using peirce's concepts of semiotics and logic and more particularly his ideas on induction, deduction and hypothesis; 2) dialogue. 1) in l'interdiction, the charater manifests hilself by means of numerous "homogeneous" clues. Theses clues consistently suggest the thematic role that each character embodies. In armance, on the other hand, clues are infrequent and do not thematic role. 2) when dialogue is established with the other in balzac, one is still able to identify thematic role. For the characters in armance, however, a verbal exchange often bears negative effects. For the dialogue to transmit knowledge from one to another, if even partial, a real or symbolic distance must be established between the characters, and the speaker must have recourse in narrative rather than in description. 3) if the speaker is to express who he is or who the other is, the character has recourse. .

Les statuts romanesques de l'argent chez Stendhal sont l'expression de l'esthétique romanesque basée sur le thème de l'argent qui est devenu le nouveau critère de mesure de la valeur sociale. Ce thème comprend deux fils directeurs, le premier est son éducation grenobloise donnée par ses deux familles qui place H. Beyle à la limite de deux classes sociales ayant un rapport opposé à l'argent (aristocratique pour les Gagnon et bourgeois pour Chérubin Beyle), ce qui cause la profonde ambiguïté de Henri Beyle à l'égard de l'argent. Le second fil est l' éducation intellectuelle qu'il se donne à lui-même, en lisant les idéologues et les grands philosophes des Lumières qui incluent tous des développements sur l'économie politique en complément de leurs analyses. Cette formation conduirait Stendhal à adopter un rapport plutôt positif et dépassionné à l'égard de l'argent dont les mécanismes peuvent être compris et maîtrisés selon les théories de ses maîtres. Mais, il vit une tension entre ses rapports privés à l'argent ( rapports toujours problématiques et passionnés liés à son père) et les théories auxquelles il essaie d'adhérer. Cette tension devient une contradiction qui éclate, un moment de crise où il tente de définir contre l'idéologie, mais sans rompre avec elle, des expériences fondamentales qui peuvent aussi servir de mesure à la valeur sociale(en dehors du monopole de l'argent), et incarnées par : De l'Amour, Racine et Shakespeare, D'un nouveau complot contre les industriels. Le roman devient le lieu de résolution de cette tension. Ainsi, l'argent y est exprimé sous deux formes, d'abord en tant qu' élément majeur : son origine, ensuite, en tant qu'aspect du réel
The status of the money in the novels of Stendhal are the expression of the novels aesthetic which is based upon the theme of the money becoming the only measurement of social worth. This theme contains two leading threads : the first thread is connected with Stendhal's upbringing in Grenoble given by his both families, which puts him in the deadline of two social classes having got two opposite views of the money (aristocratic for Gagnon and middle-class for Chérubin Beyle). That explains his profound ambiguity about money. The second thread is connected with his own intellectual education becoming from ideologists and eighteenth century philosophers who treat economics, beyond their analysis. This training would make Stendhal have a positive and passionless vision upon money whose mechanisms could be learnt and subdued in theorie. But, he experienced a tension between his private relations with money(relations always complicated and impassioned because of his father) and the theories of the ideologists, his masters. This strain bursts out and becomes a contradiction, a moment of crisis inwhich he tries to define, against the ideology without breaking out with it, some major experiences that can also serve as a measurement of social worth(outside the monopoly of the money). They are written in De l'Amour, Racine et Shakespeare, and D'un nouveau complot contre les industriels. The novels are the scene inwhere this tension is solved. This thesis proposes a socio-critical approach to the historicity of texts, focussing on the example of the novel as practiced by Stendhal around 1830 : Armance, Le Rouge et le Noir, Lucien Leuwen. Following a theoretical definition of the concept of historicity, the first part examines Stendhal's pregressive movement towards the novel, emphasizing the importance in this process of his reflections on history. The second part analyses the poetics of Stendhal's new novel : a writing of the here and now. It examines the relationship of Stendhal's novels to chronology, to the model of satire, and the procedures of textualisation of the political archives. The third part examines the way in which they define and work on the present by elucidating the reading of history that they propose, focusing on three political themes : the revolution of 1830, the status of the figure of the monarch, and elections

Nous avons ainsi eu une perspective d'ensemble sur la critique d'armance, pour nous permettre de repondre a ces questions: depuis quand le secret d'octave est-il connu? quel role l'article de gide jouait-il dans l'histoire de la critique d'armance? nous avons repondu que c'est depuis fevrier 1828, et que l'article de gide contribua surtout a "exorciser" l'anomalie du heros
Our study is composed of four parts: introduction, chronological part, thematic part and conclusion. In the chronological part, practically all studies about armance from 1827 to 1983 are mentioned. We drew 18 themes from these studies in the thematic part. We concluded that the octave's secret has been known from february 1828, and that the gide's study contributed to "exorcize" the octave's anomaly

La investigación está dividida en seis capítulos. El primero de ellos trata sobre el contexto de producción de la obra de Uribe y el panorama de la poesía chilena que enmarca la aparición de sus primeros libros. Asimismo, en este capítulo se incorporan las referencias críticas que la obra de Uribe ha tenido desde sus primeros libros hasta los últimos. El segundo capítulo trata sobre aspectos más teóricos, específicamente, sobre problemas de poética. Se intenta una aproximación conceptual al tema, para intentar acotar qué se entenderá por poética, y así adentrarnos posteriormente a la obra del poeta Uribe. El tercer capítulo explora las relaciones entre el inconsciente y la poesía y las pulsiones que mueven al inconsciente para manifestarse poéticamente. Luego, el cuarto capítulo trata sobre la relación entre eros y thánatos, el amor y el erotismo en relación con la muerte, sin duda uno de los temas más amplios de la obra de Uribe. El quinto capítulo es sobre los aspectos religiosos de la obra, es decir, explora en toda la dimensión espiritual del poeta, para finalmente, en el sexto capítulo y final, presentar las conclusiones sobre la poética de Armando Uribe mediante una puesta en común de los capítulos previos.

Abstract:
This paper addresses the innovative turbine for hydrokinetic energy extraction proposed by (Fernandes and Armandei, 2014). This turbine harvests energy via torsional galloping. The turbine consists of a rectangular flat plate located vertically initially aligned with the water current and connected with a torsional spring. By changing the axis position, some experimental tests are conducted to assess the improvements on the performance of the turbine. It is observed that the optimal position for the elastic axis happens when the axis is located at 0.75 of the chord length from the leading edge. This is in accordance with the ideal axis position obtained from the Theodorsen theory reported in a PhD thesis (Armandei, 2013). Also, in order to have estimate of the performance of the turbine in the scaled-up level, a similarity analysis is made. Then the results are modified to find the estimate for the performance of the array of turbines. The comparison between the estimated power of the torsional galloping turbine and some conventional turbine types gives a general idea about how this turbine would operate in full scale.

Abstract:
The extraction of energy from currents is still an issue. Both design point and off-design behavior should be addressed conveniently. In the present study, a new concept based on the flow-induced instability of an elastic structure is introduced by which the energy can be extracted from the water current. The energy extractor device is named “Fernandes-Armandei”, which consists of a simple flat plate attached to a torsion spring and located vertically in the water current. The flat plate has only 1 DOF that is yawing about its axis, which is in its mid chord length. A concurrent-schedule research (Armandei and Fernandes, 2012) demonstrates that one such motion becomes dynamically unstable, as the velocity exceeds a special threshold. The motivation of doing this research was the robustness of the oscillations created due to the flow-induced instability. Two different cases (a) and (b) are studied, case (a) with larger natural frequency and case (b) with larger mass moment and added moment of inertia. A damper is also applied in the device as a transmission system which converts oscillation to rotation. The rotary motion is utilized to lift a weight up to a prescribed height, to assess the energy extraction behavior of each case. The results show that case (b) can lift heavier weights than case (a). However, the maximum efficiency of case (a) (9.18%) is about three times more than the maximum efficiency of case (b) (3.26%).
