Abstract:
Avaimen numero 4/2018 sukeltaa kirjallisuuden perinteisempään ytimeen, romaaneihin, runoihin ja lukijan rooliin. Näihin etsitään lehden kirjoituksissa uusia tulokulmia. Numeron avaavassa, Kati Launiksen tutkijaryhmän artikkelissa ”Mitä naiset lukevat?” selvitetään “big datan” ja digitaalisten tutkimus-menetelmien mahdollisuuksia lukijatutkimuksessa. Tutkijaryhmän data--analyysi on armoton ainakin klassikoille: Kivet ja Runebergit osuvat harvoin edes keski-ikäisten kulttuurin suurkuluttajien kirjakoriin.

Abstract:
The black soils of Adilabad and Nizamabad districts of Northern Telangana zone most prominent for the cultivation of soybean. From this region of soils, sixty soil samples were collected and analysed for available sulphur and its fractions. The results indicated that available sulphur content ranged from 5.9 mg kg-1 to 52.6 mg kg-1 with a mean of 13.8 mg kg-1. The available sulphur content was low to medium in status. The extent of sulphur deficiency of soybean growing areas of Adilabad and Nizamabad are 50 and 43.4 per cent respectively. The water-soluble sulphur ranged from 5.4 mg kg-1 in rural samples of Nizamabad to 7.3 mg kg-1 in sonala soils of Adilabad district. Whereas KH2PO4 and Heat soluble sulphur content ranged from 19.2, 29.6 mg kg-1 in Armoor village to 28.7, 37.3 mg kg-1 in Sonala village respectively. The highest total sulphur content was recorded in soils of Adilabad district.

Abstract. Trianto A, Radjasa OK, Sibero MT, Sabdono A, Haryanti D, Zilullah WOM, Syanindyta AR, Bahry MS, Widiananto PA, Helmi M, Armono HD, Supriadi, Igarashi Y. 2020. The effect of culture media on the number and bioactivity of marine invertebrates associated fungi. Biodiversitas 21: 407-412. Marine ecosystem is rich with microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi either as free-living or in association with macro-organisms. Marine invertebrates provide suitable habitats for fungi by supplying space, food, and other chemicals stuff that in some cases is a reciprocal relationship or called mutualism symbiotic. Some marine invertebrates have interesting activities that are useful for human life such as anticancer, antifungal, and antibacterial. Many reports indicated that the fungal growth and their production of bioactive compounds were highly affected by the media or nutrition. In order to understand the effect of media on the number and bioactivity of the isolates, we collected the samples of marine invertebrates from two locations in Makassar. Invertebrate specimens were collected by hand during SCUBA diving at 3-10 m depths. The fungi were isolated by tapping method either on potato dextrose agar (PDA) or poor marine agar (PMA). The samples were collected from the Samalona water as much as 16 specimens that provided 30 and 18 fungal isolates on PDA and PMA, respectively, while, from the Barrang Cadi water, a total 14 specimens were collected to provide 12 and 3 isolates on PDA and PMA, respectively. All fungi from PMA inhibited the V. harveyi, V. vulnificus, and V. parahaemolyticus with weak, medium, and strong activities, while, the isolates from PDA were mostly not active against the Vibrios. Based on the molecular analyses, the active isolates were identified as Aspergillus flavus, A. oryzae, A. aculeatus, Talaromyces minioluteus, Hypocrea jecorina, Gliomastix murorum, Myrothecium inundatum, and Curvularia avinis. In conclusion, the isolates from PMA showed higher potential as source of antivibrio substances.

Abstract: We studied the influence of hydrogen on the optical, structural, and thermomechanical properties of hydrogenated amorphous germanium thin fi1ms, a-Ge:H, prepared by rf-sputtering. Infrared spectroscopy was used to study the structure of the GeHn sites. The samples present wagging, stretching, and bending modes related to GeH, GeH2, and GeH3 bonds. We also observed an increase in the microstructure parameter as the hydrogen content increased. This could be related to an increase in the GeH2 and GeH3 concentration, or GeH bonds in the voids. In addition, there is a shift to higher energies (blue shift) of the wagging and stretching bands as the hydrogen concentration increases. This shift can be explained by the reduction of the dielectric constant of the films, resulting from the presence of hydrogen in the germanium network. We also showed the possibility of using the stretching band to estimate the concentration of bonded hydrogen in the films. We verified that the incorporation of hydrogen increases the presence of bubbles and pin holes on the films surface. This phenomenon is related to the compressive stress and the presence of molecular hydrogen in the film structure. The values for the compressive stress vary from about 0.3 GPa, for non-hydrogenated fi1ms, to about 0.7 GPa, for samples with total hydrogen concentration of about 17 at. %. The biaxial modulus decreases with the increase in the hydrogen concentration in the films. This result is in agreement with the model developed by He and Thorpe who relate the elastic constants of the material to the mean coordination of the network. We also measured, for the first time, the thermal expansion coefficient of a-Ge:H films as a function of the hydrogen content. We observed that an increase in the hydrogen concentration led to an increase in the thermal expansion coefficient
Mestrado
Física
Mestre em Física
