Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
Short message services (SMS), microblogging tools, instant message apps, and commercial websites produce numerous short text messages every day. These short text messages are usually guaranteed to reach mass audience with low cost. Spammers take advantage of short texts by sending bulk malicious or unwanted messages. Short texts are difficult to classify because of their shortness, sparsity, rapidness, and informal writing. The effectiveness of the hidden Markov model (HMM) for short text classification has been illustrated in our previous study. However, the HMM has limited capability to handle new words, which are mostly generated by informal writing. In this paper, a hybrid model is proposed to address the informal writing issue by weighting new words for fast short text filtering with high accuracy. The hybrid model consists of an artificial neural network (ANN) and an HMM, which are used for new word weighting and spam filtering, respectively. The weight of a new word is calculated based on the weights of its neighbor, along with the spam and ham (i.e., not spam) probabilities of short text message predicted by the ANN. Performance evaluations on benchmark datasets, including the SMS message data maintained by University of California, Irvine; the movie reviews, and the customer reviews are conducted. The hybrid model operates at a significantly higher speed than deep learning models. The experiment results show that the proposed hybrid model outperforms other prominent machine learning algorithms, achieving a good balance between filtering throughput and accuracy.

Abstract:

Abstract:
In the context of growing requirements for the reliability of information and a reduction in the time of data delivery, the urgent task is the development of simple and effective means of control as a process of transmission of information and equipment in distributed systems. The problem of diagnosing the efficiency of distributed systems in data exchange networks with packet switching is considered in the paper. The proposed approach to the synthesis of data control devices is most effective in verifying the transmission of a multitude of packet messages over a datagram channel in time division mode and can be used in digital test device diagnostic systems as an initialization analyzer. The practical implementation of the proposed approach allows you to create devices that have achieved a significant reduction in hardware costs and simplify the technical implementation of signature analyzers. In this case, it is not necessary to store the input information, which provides the possibility of using different characteristic of polynomials, by automatically generating this information in the device. Parallel processing of message packets or diagnostic information allows to increase the speed of analyzers, with reception of signatures that equal the signature of a single-channel analyzer. Examples of synthesis of multichannel signature analyzers that are capable of high-speed data reliably process information, localize errors in the information input sequence and determine the number of the false packet in the message or the device from the group of verifiable devices are given.

We consider the problem of broadcasting in ann–node hypercube whose links and nodes fail independently with given probabilities p < 1 and q < 1, respectively. Information held in a fault-free node, called thesource, has to reach all other fault-free nodes. Messages may be directly transmitted to adjacent nodes only, and every node may communicate with at most one neighbour in a unit of time. A message can be transmitted only if both communicating neighbours and the link joining them are fault-free. For parameterspandqsatisfying (1 –p)(1 –q) ≽ 0.99 (e.g.p=q= 0.5%), we give an algorithm working in timeO(logn) and broadcasting source information to all fault-free nodes with probability exceeding 1 –cn-efor some positive constantε, cdepending onpandqbut not depending onn.

Abstract:
The author analyzes intercultural communication (IC): the speech activity to organize joint activities in a multicultural environment. In course of communication within a single culture, communicants produce speech messages that involve only linguistic signs bodies and require common consciousnesses for understanding. The speaker presents the reality with images of one’s verbally modeled consciousness to the recipient for perception; the latter uses this model to construct the perceived message content from the one’s consciousness images. The sign communication suggests a common language and images of consciousness. There isn’t seen any common consciousness in IC results in cognitive conflicts requiring instructive training to develop common consciousness and language, or an intermediary (interpreter) as a bearer of the proper consciousness. Understanding in IC requires preliminary definitions of key words in speech messages. Understanding with non-linguistic consciousness images among bearers of different ethnic cultures requires a preliminary acquaintance with these images. The theoretical underpinning of understanding in IC can involve A.N. Leontiev’s world image theory and the three-level model of the consciousness image by A.N. Leontiev - V.P. Zinchenko, including existential, reflective and spiritual levels. The world image is knowledge developed by an ethnic culture bearer in the enculturation to navigate in the reality. The existential level contains cognitive means providing for the orientation in the ethnic environment, at the reflexive level, the knowledge about reality ensures the ethnic survival in this reality. At the spiritual level, the consciousness bearer communicates with other individuals resulting in a human attitude to reality.

Abstract:
Abstract Background High-fidelity simulation is known to improve participant learning and behavioral performance. Simulation scenarios generate stress that affects memory retention and may impact future performance. The authors hypothesized that more participants would recall three or more critical key messages at three months when a relaxation break was performed before debriefing of critical event scenarios. Methods Each resident actively participated in one scenario and observed another. Residents were randomized in two parallel-arms. The intervention was a 5-min standardized relaxation break immediately before debriefing; controls had no break before debriefing. Five scenario-specific messages were read aloud by instructors during debriefings. Residents were asked by telephone three months later to recall the five messages from their two scenarios, and were scored for each scenario by blinded investigators. The primary endpoint was the number of residents participating actively who recalled three or more messages. Secondary endpoints included: number of residents observing who recalled three or more messages, anxiety level, and debriefing quality. Results In total, 149 residents were randomized and included. There were 52 of 73 (71%) residents participating actively who recalled three or more messages at three months in the intervention group versus 35 of 76 (46%) among controls (difference: 25% [95% CI, 10 to 40%], P = 0.004). No significant difference was found between groups for observers, anxiety or debriefing quality. Conclusions There was an additional 25% of active participants who recalled the critical messages at three months when a relaxation break was performed before debriefing of scenarios. Benefits of relaxation to enhance learning should be considered for medical education.

Abstract:
Previous studies show that the level of appreciation of Islam among Muslim Orang Asli is still low. This situation causes them to not be practising Islam properly. Among the factors that cause this to occur is their own weak effort to deepen their knowledge in Islam such as in akidah and syariah. Therefore, they have to require constant help of preachers who can guide them in practising the basic teachings of Islam, particularly in the aspect of fardu ain in order to increase their level of appreciation on Islamic teaching. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the communication approach used by the preachers when guiding the muslim Orang Asli in term of basic teachings of Islam namely fardu ain. Data derived from in-depth interviews with nine muslim preachers who actively guide the muslim Orang Asli community in Selangor. This study finds that the approach of communication used most when guiding muslim Orang Asli are da’wah communication by al-hikmah (wisdom). It covers the aspect of prioritizing the most important matters in the list of priorities, especially in the delivery of communication messages, communicating wisely in accordance with the level of thinking of target group, gradually giving explanation on the message of communication and focusing on the elements of emotion, feeling as well as common sense of the target group when communicating with them in classes.

Abstract:
Recently, ensuring the security of secret messages over computer networks has significantly increased in importance. For this reason, a new system is proposed that tries to hide text using Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and more precisely using Radial Based Function, with zero mean square error, in addition to encryption techniques, to make sure that the resulting text is exactly the same as the one that was sent. In this study the text is encrypted by an ordinary encryption algorithm, then the encrypted text will be embedded within the image and the positions of each encrypted text value will be determined, and in the last step the taken values (positions) will be encrypted using the neural network. The resulting encrypted text is unpredictable, making it very secure. On the receiver side, only the person, who has knowledge of the decryption key, neural network inputs P and parameters, will be able to see the original message embedded in the image.

Abstract:
Perennial ryegrass containing a high level of standard (wild) endophyte is a significant component of the feed base for the grazing industries in the high rainfall and irrigated regions of Australia. The AR1 selected endophyte was first commercialised in Australia by Heritage Seeds in autumn 2002 into a market that had low awareness, and a limited understanding, of perennial ryegrass endophyte. The early uptake of AR1 was slow, mainly due to difficulties with delivering a very technical message with limited resources and justifying a significant price increase with no independent supporting data from Australia. Changing the marketing message to focus on the potential benefits from AR1, along with support from the developers of AR1 (AgResearch) and an overall increase in awareness of ryegrass endophyte, saw a dramatic increase in the uptake of AR1 varieties in 2005 and 2006. It is expected that this trend toward selected endophytes will continue into the future. Keywords: perennial ryegrass, endophyte, AR1, commercialisation
