The article presents a newly commented translation of the hieroglyphic inscription on the statue of Ptolemy II Philadelphos from Bubastis, created several years after a countrywide Egyptian cult dedicated to Arsinoe II had been established. In the Kalaureia Research Program excavations of 2007 and 2008, four joining blocks of a statue base were unearthed. The monument is a dedication from the polis of Arsinoe in the Peloponnese: its inhabitants offered two statues, of King Ptolemaios and his sisterwife Arsinoe Philadelphos, to Poseidon. The present article publishes the monument and its inscription, and proceeds to present a reconstruction and an attempt at positioning the monument in its historical context.

The mass spectra of tris(perfluorophenyl)phosphine obtained under negative ion Fast Atom Bombardment conditions showed formation of an unusual ion at m/z 397 attributed to ((C6F5)2PO2)−. The matrix effects involved in this reaction are discussed. Negative ion FAB spectra of tris(perfluorophenyl)arsine and tris(perfluorophenyl)stibine are also reported. The title compound, [Os3(C25H22As2)(CO)10], contains a triangle of singly bonded Os atoms; both arsine ligands are equatorial with respect to the Os3triangle. Each arsine-substituted Os atom bears one equatorial and two axial terminal carbonyl ligands, whereas the unsubstituted Os atom bears two equatorial and two axial terminal carbonyl ligands. The dihedral angles between the two benzene rings in the diphenylarsino groups are 67.42 (16) and 61.99 (16)°.
