Abstract:
This style first appeared in 1925 and developed until 1940. The name art deco comes from the exhibition entitled Paris exposition des Art Decorations et industries in 1925 in France. Abstract - Modernization gradually leads to the development of modern architecture, leaving local architecture behind. Consequently, modern architecture begins to overshadow the existence of Indonesian local architecture. Thus, there’s an urgent need for a fusion of the local and modern elements in architecture.Notably, through observation, the distinctive Art Deco context is a strong character in Bandung. Moreover, Bandung is ranked 9th in the City Of Art Deco in The World. During the modern architecture era, international style was developed as one of the architectural styles. This style has been appreciated and favored by the public up to this day because it is considered to follow the development of the industry and technology while remaining functional. This research method is descriptive qualitative and analytical methods. The first step is to identify the building designs, followed by identifying the Art Deco and international style characteristics in the buildings and the fusion. Theoretically and practically, this research is expected to provide additional insights for both the author and readers regarding Bandung's Art Deco heritage, thereby contributing to the field of architectural knowledge In general, the result reveals that both hotels exhibit Art Deco and international style features in their designs. In terms of percentage, The Gaia Hotel Bandung has a dominance of 46.7% classified as Modern Art Deco. Meanwhile, Padma Hotel Bandung has a percentage of 47.02% classified as Modern Art Deco. Abstract:
The Creative Fashion Center is a place for fashion workshops, makeup workshops, bazaars and catwalks with an emphasis on the art deco architectural style. Fashion is a familiar term in everyday life. We often identify fashion with clothes or clothes, when in fact what is said fashion is everything that is trending in society. Consumers can be regarded as the main driving force of the fashion industry. Because apart from being a buyer, they are also the ones who determine and choose the style to become a fashion trend. The architectural approach of this building is art deco. Art deco architecture was a popular design movement from 1920 to 1939, which influenced the decorative arts of architecture. This architectural style is suitable for the Creative Fashion Center building because art deco represents charm, elegance and luxury. And in my opinion, art deco style can represent the elegance and luxury of the pop art fashion style favored by young people.

Abstract:
The characteristics of a building style and its character are shaped by some of its architectural elements. One of these architectural styles is an Art Deco-style building that has its own character. This style first appeared in 1925 and developed until 1940. This European architectural style was adopted in various American buildings due to their condition in the time of the industrial revolution. The modern architectural movement that developed at that time also influenced the art deco style and gave it a modern touch. The Art Deco style in graphic design restores again decorativism but not necessarily in the form of ornaments. Decorative impressions can be achieved through the play of elements geometric, typographic blocks, textures and shades of color. Art Deco style has characteristics that are very distinctive and easily distinguished from other architectural styles. Art deco still exists in the spirit of medan city development as place of research evidenced by the many old buildings that are repurposed as well as new buildings that take the characteristics of Art Deco. One of them is the use of tower elements or one part of the building that rises slightly upwards and gives a magnificent impression.

Abstract:

This paper aims to present a research study concerning the graphics and symbols in logo design exhibited in an art program dubbed ‘Golden Ages of Art Nouveau and Art Deco’. It was important for us to understand these trends, their characteristics and graphics, to create many times beautiful masterpieces of art. We have noticed a lot of differences between these two art movements related to symbols, signs and colours which were used. It was ‘a special art travel’ to study, theoretically and practically, the field of logo design connected to these ages. Starting from our research study, we have tried to make ‘a basket’ of features which characterises each trend. We have tried to explain the diversity of elements used as an art graphic design focused on logos. And, of course, we have tried to create logos using the features of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Abstract:
This paper analyzes the founding bases of comparisons between the Aleksandr Deineka’s artistic works and the art deco, the connection between Deineka’s works and European and American art of the 1930s Deineka’s early works refer to the avant-garde and the late ones are usually related to socialist realism. The novel artistic language is the most important link between the Soviet art and the art deco style, making the artist its most prominent USSR proponent. In this respect, the key event is the artist’s trip to the USA, France and Italy in 1935. What made Deineka engage in the intercultural discussion on artistic styles were industrial, urban, mundane and sport themes the Soviet art and art deco (mostly American) shared. A dialogue with the US Skyscraper style influenced a series of paintings and sketches, including New York. Central Park, The Road to Mount Vernon, Baseball, The Boredom. The Soviet experience contributed to Deineka’s few American works. In the most clear and general manner the art deco ideas and practical solutions were incorporated in the 1938 project of Deineka – in the decoration of the Mayakovskaya metro station, Moscow. The idea was to create a series of allegoric and technically new mosaic plafonds. Both spirit and techniques of late Deineka were partly inspired by the American art deco.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The rapid advancement of technology in modern times significantly impacts various aspects of human life, including fine arts, crafts, and design. The block printing craft technique is a process of printing on textiles using carved wooden blocks covered with dye and pressed onto the fabric's surface to create a motif. Initially, printing plates were engraved manually using steel chisels. Still, with technological developments, printing plates to produce motifs can be made more efficiently using material cutting tools. This research aims to improve block printing techniques by utilizing technological advancements, specifically by enhancing laser cutting machines to increase printing plate creation efficiency. This will produce cleaner and more precise motifs, thus generating new visual elements. This research uses a qualitative research method with several steps: the first step was conducting a literature study regarding block printing, laser cut, art deco ornaments, and the Savoy Homann hotel to obtain information and research analysis. Then, carry out direct observations on the interior of the Savoy Homann Hotel by observing and taking documentation of art deco ornaments, which have the potential to be used as inspiration for making motifs using the block printing technique. Finally, the exploration step is conducted in three stages: initial, further, and selected exploration, to validate the research. The research results are wooden printing plates that can be created with a laser cutting machine. These plates have the potential to be used to create designs on cloth inspired by the art deco ornaments found in the interior of the Savoy Homann Hotel. Geometric and streamline-deco shapes characterize these ornaments. Keywords: Block printing, laser cut, art deco, textile, and interior Hotel Savoy HomannAbstrakPesatnya perkembangan zaman dan teknologi berdampak pada berbagai bidang di kehidupan manusia, salah satu diantaranya bidang seni rupa, kriya, dan desain. Abstract:
The subject of this research is the distinctions between two fundamental trends in art of the XX century – art deco and avant-garde, as well as determination of the nature of their interaction. The object of this research is the original texts of artisans and art monuments belonging to both fields. Special attention is given to characteristics of the specific features of art deco and avant-garde, identification of similarities and differences of the two simultaneously developing stylistic concepts. The author examines the key event for the history of interaction of these two trends, namely the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts held in Paris in 1925, and criticism that formed views on art of the era of modernism. The scientific novelty consists in examination of the two paramount trends for grasping history of culture of the XX century in the context of their interaction. Since 1966, art deco was not recognized as an in dependent style, but rather closely connected with modernism and patterned on avant-garde. The main conclusion of the conducted research consists in revelation of adaptive cultural mechanism that allowed art deco to overcome a number of problems, among which in underlines the relation to technological progress and mass society. The author highlights that both trends should be viewed in the context of cultural dialogue. First and foremost, they were united by orientation towards modernity and development of innovative language of art.

Abstract:
The monograph Art Deco in Serbian Architecture by Milan Prosen is a monumental historiographical work that thoroughly explores the previously insufficiently researched topic of the presence and influence of Art Deco on interwar architecture, as well as the reasons for its emergence, stylistic characteristics, prevalence, and representation in Serbia. Within a broad framework, the monograph covers and presents topics such as the significance of the term and the emergence of Art Deco worldwide, the social circumstances in which the style originated and was recognized globally, the circumstances in which Art Deco appeared in Serbia, and the specificities of its appearance in Serbian architecture. Dr. Milan Prosen conducted his comprehensive scientific research and completed it during the preparation of his doctoral dissertation, defended at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade in 2014, before a respectable committee consisting of Dr. Aleksandar Kadijević, Dr. Mirjana Roter-Blagojević, Dr. Aleksandar Ignjatović, and Dr. Simona Čupić, confirming the value and importance of his work. Since then, the content of the monograph has been supplemented and partially revised, with the text expanded based on new research, including published historiographical knowledge and the author's results related to this topic from previous years.

Abstract:
Straipsnyje tyrinėjamas Lietuvos keramikos vystymuisi svarbus XX a. 4 deš. etapas, siejamas su profesionaliosios lietuvių keramikos užgimimu. 1931 m.
