<strong>Abstract</strong><br />Art Nouveau is an art movement originated from France. The word "Art Nouveau" in French means "New Art". Art Nouveau reached its peak popularity in the early 20th century. Art Nouveau brought "Back to Nature" theme. Therefore, the Art Nouveau lines and shapes are not far from natural life<br />including plants and animals. In our country Indonesia, The Art Nouveau is not as popular as The Art Deco, one of the factors because the country of Indonesia is an ex Dutch colony country. Buildings built by Dutch architect were Art Deco style buildings. On the other hand there is an increase of market interest in classic contemporary interior. PT. Dempsey Nusantara is one of<br />example of furniture manufacture with classic contemporary style. In this paper we try understand the design spirit of Art Nouveau from the definition, character, and its application in many countries. After understanding the thinking and visual character of Art Nouveau, it is used as an inspiration for<br />designing dining set as an apprentice project in Dempsey.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Abstrak</strong><br />Art Nouveau merupakan gerakan seni yang berasal dari Perancis. Kata “Art Nouveau” sendiri dalam bahasa Perancis berarti “Seni Baru”. Art Nouveau mencapai puncak popularitas pada awal abad 20. Seni Art Nouveau membawa tema “Kembali ke Alam”. Maka dari itu, tarikan garis dan bentuk Art Nouveau diambil dari alam meliputi flora dan fauna. Di Indonesia sendiri, Seni Art Nouveau tidaklah sepopuler Seni Art Deco. Salah satu faktor adalah karena negara Indonesia merupakan negara jajahan Belanda dimana bangunan-bangunan yang didirikan<br />arsitek Belanda bergaya Art Deco. Disisi lain ada peningkatan minat pasar pada interior klasik kontemporer salah satu produsen adalah PT. Dempsey Nusantara. Di makalah ini kami mencoba membahas apa yang menjadi semangat desain Art Nouveau ini mulai dari definisi, karakter, dan aplikasinya di berbagai negara. Karena dengan memahami, barulah bisa dijadikan inspirasi untuk merancang set furnitur ruang makan sebagai proyek magang di Dempsey.

Abstract The north-eastern French city of Nancy is one of the centres of Art Nouveau. It has been analysed in detail in many classical reviews Art Nouveau, but mainly in relation to decorative applied art works produced at the Nancy School of Art. The study pays attention also to the Nancy architecture. The architectural and artistic qualities of the iconic Art Nouveau architectural monument Villa L. Majorelle are analysed in detail, and the basic data about works of É. André, H. Gutton, J. Hornecker, L. Weissenburger, and other Nancy architects are systematized, indicating their place both in the cityscape of Nancy and in the historical context of Art Nouveau architecture in general.

Abstract:
This study attempted to use the symbolic and decorative properties of Art Nouveau in hairstyling art through the expression of updo styles, using the organic lines of plant among various styles of Art Nouveau which had a significant influence on many countries early 20th century. First, to examine the formative characteristics of Art Nouveau, this study examined related data and previous studies on diverse artworks. Second, the concept, design factors and shapes of updos were analyzed. Third, 3 different updo styles which emphasize the smoothness of curves were created by adding modern colors to mannequin based on three decorations created with the organic lines of plant in Art Nouveau style as motives. The results found that organic lines in Art Nouveau can be expressed in a diverse fashion in modern design. Updo hairstyles have unlimited potential as art from the perspective of creative art. It is anticipated that studies on the updo hairstyles created with the organic lines of plant would be used in a more diverse and unique way.

Abstract:
Au XIXe siècle, la France s'érige comme un modèle de référence culturel et artistique omniprésent, voire écrasant. Or, la Belgique souffre d’une position doublement déficitaire par rapport à sa voisine :le jeune pays apparaît privé d’un passé historique et en retrait sur le plan géographique. Que ce soit dans le champ des arts plastiques ou dans celui des lettres francophones de Belgique, Paris apparaît comme le centre hégémonique dont Bruxelles cherche à s’émanciper. Il en sera de même pour les arts décoratifs. Si un phénomène d’autonomisation équivalent a déjà été observé dans les autres domaines de la création, l’affranchissement de la scène décorative belge à l’égard du modèle français reste méconnu. Pourtant, les arts décoratifs belges devront se dégager du lourd héritage français. Les styles de cours de l’Ancien Régime ont contribué à accorder à la France une place de choix dans le monopole du goût. Place qu’elle entend bien conserver dans la nouvelle configuration de l’échiquier européen, désormais industrialisé. Dans ce nouvel ordre, qui jette un voile définitif sur les conceptions et les pratiques de l’Ancien Régime, la Belgique suivra une voie tout autre que celle choisie par le Second Empire. Cette voie lui permettra de s’en affranchir et d’imposer, avant la fin d’un siècle considéré comme « sans style propre », une expression stylistique débarrassée des éternels Louis XIV, Louis XV, Empire, etc. Les arts décoratifs belges formuleront un style original qui permettra enfin à Bruxelles de sortir de l’ombre de la Ville lumière. Cette distanciation, en germe tout au long du XIXe siècle, s’opèrera véritablement au terme de celui-ci et au seuil du siècle suivant, à travers l’Art nouveau. Première forme stylistique internationale depuis l’introduction de la machine dans les modes de production, l’Art nouveau apparaît, en Belgique, comme la volonté d’affirmer une identité nationale, une « originalité belge », qui entend se démarquer de Paris, capitale incontestée du luxe et du goût.

Au point de convergence de deux traditions historiographiques (celle du rapport Art – Industrie et celle de l’Art nouveau), la présente thèse s’attache à démontrer ce phénomène d’autonomisation selon une approche comparée systématique des situations française et belge. Le cadre chronologique débute à l’extrême fin du XVIIIe siècle et s’achève au tout début du XXe siècle, avant que les avant-gardes successives consacrent l’ère machiniste. Au XIXe siècle, dans un équilibre encore délicat entre art, artisanat et industrie, les enjeux économiques, politiques et esthétiques seront successivement débattus par les politiques, les revues d’art et les artistes. La présente thèse s’attache à décrypter, tour à tour, les politiques économiques, les offensives de séduction et les principes esthétiques déployés et mis en œuvre par l’ensemble de ces acteurs de la régénérescence décorative. Pour vérifier leur impact, les discours seront à l’épreuve de la création moderne à travers les exemples de la galerie parisienne de Siegfried Bing et du parcours de l’artiste liégeois Gustave Serrurier. Dans le même élan, sera mis en exergue le processus d’autonomisation qui permettra aux arts décoratifs belges de s’affranchir du modèle français et propulsera Bruxelles en scène décorative moderne qui rivalisera avec Paris.

Abstract:
The histories of the Theater and of the Novel have rarely been linked to one another. Nevertheless, studying the evolution of the two arts as of the seventeenth century, allows us to pinpoint and define the sources of contamination. It is more precisely in the nineteenth century that the history of both the Theater and the Novel became envenomed, going from fresh influences to disloyal relations during which time the Theater faded by admitting romanesque realism to take the stage. By denying its capacity to reveal the "real", the Theater failed its possibilities and let its art be disinterested from the theatricality showing all that should have been evoked. Men of theater participated at recapturing the theatrical art so to regain confidence on stage and near 1950, an avant-garde movement flourished to favor a renewal of vitality for the theater with a new language which utilizes all of what the scene could provoke. This "New Theater" is soon followed by a similar romanesque enterprise, the "New Novel", a group of novelists also wishing to acknowledge the right to explore a new style of writing.

Abstract:
The study contrasts the architecture of the Art Nouveau period  1880-1915 with contemporary curvilinear computational designs created 1980-2015. This is done by examining similarities and differences in design context, methods, philosophy and forms. The study includes an analysis of the curved lines used in Art Nouveau architecture as well as comparative study of  the two periods’ building compositions, façades and ornamentation. The thesis tries to answer the following questions: Is it possible to identify significant forms or geometric markers in  the Art Nouveau architecture of the period 1890 to 1920? How do such markers differ from post 1980 computational curvilinear architecture? Is it possible to reinterpret Art Nouveau architecture today in a relevant way?
Denna studien kontrasterar Art Nouveau/ Jugendstil perioden 1880-1920 med dagens datorstödda design diskurs med fokus på den böjda linjen. Studien undersöker skillnader och likheter i kontext, metod, filosofi och form mellan de båda perioderna. Studien inkluderar en analys av den kurvatur som används inom Art Nouveau / Jugendstil och undersöker vidare byggnadskomposition,  fasader och ornament i de båda tidsperioderna. Studien försöker besvara följande frågor: Fins det några signifikanta former eller geometrier i  Art Nouveau / Jugendstil arkitekturen och hur skiljer dessa sig från dagens datorstödda arkitektur, Går det att på ett relevant sätt använda delar av  Art Nouveau / Jugendstil arkitekturen och dess diskurrs på ett idag relevant sätt.

L’art et la science sont des voies parallèles de connaissance du monde, même si chacun utilise ses propres moyens. Ayant des approches différentes, les deux sont en quête de l’invisible, de ce qui se trouve au-delà de la première perception de la réalité, pour aboutir à la découverte de nouveaux phénomènes dans le réel. Les collaborations actuelles entre les artistes et les scientifiques m’ont conduite à la recherche de nouvelles approches de la réalité que ces projets communs puissent apporter à l’Humanité. En découvrant le domaine Art & Science, je me suis interrogée sur des démarches et des méthodes considérées depuis longtemps comme incompatibles, qui sont en train de converger en un langage commun se créant à la frontière de l’art et la science. Notre recherche se fonde sur plusieurs témoignages, comme des artistes, ainsi des scientifiques qui ont participé à des projets communs. A travers les différentes collaborations nous avons analysées, d’une part, les points de vue communs des artistes et des scientifiques, et d’autre part, les difficultés qu’ils ont dû surmonter pour aboutir au résultat voulu. Étant un domaine assez récent, Art & Science suscite beaucoup d’interrogations. Cette thèse se focalise sur l’essence et les buts des collaborations entre les artistes et les scientifiques afin de comprendre la spécificité des projets Art & Science et voir quel impact ces projets peuvent avoir sur la société
Art and science are parallel ways to know the world, even if each one uses its own means. Having different approaches, these two ways are in search of the invisible, of what is beyond the first perception of reality, in order to discover new real phenomena. The current collaborations between artists and scientists have led me to investigate new approaches to reality, which these collaborative projects can bring to Humanity. Discovering the Art & Science field, I asked myself if the approaches and the methods that have been considered as incompatible for a long time are now converging into a common language being created at the frontier of art and science. Our research is based on several testimonials from artists and from scientists who participated in collaborative projects. Through the various collaborations, we analysed, on one hand, the shared viewpoints of artists and scientists, and, on the other hand, the difficulties they had to overcome to achieve the desired result. Art & Science being a recent field, many questions are raised. This thesis focuses on the essence and the aims of collaborations between artists and scientists in order to understand the specificity of Art & Science projects and to see how these projects may impact society

The paper analyzes how the Art Nouveau style has become a pri­mary element of tourism promotion and the brand of the City of Oradea, a city with a rich history and cultural tradition located on the western border of Romania, as well as the importance it occupies in building the image of this tourist destination and the city’s identity. With a unique architectural her­itage, the city of Oradea has become the most important Art Nouveau city in Eastern Europe, currently competing with famous cities such as Nancy, Barce­lona, Brussels, and Vienna and aspires to the status of a predilection destina­tion, to become a place tourists dream of. The speech that outlines the image of this destination is impregnated with marks of subjectivity; it appeals to ele­ments of history, tradition, culture and music, creating bridges between peo­ple and building an effective relationship with potential tourists.

Вопрос использования мотивов северного модерна в современной архитектуре СанктПетербурга полномерно не освещался в научной литературе. В статье на примере построек и проектов М. А. Мамошина в историческом центре города анализируется творческий метод, демонстрируются основные подходы архитектора к мотивам северного модерна. Автор приводит ключевые причины обращения к этому стилю в творчестве архитектора, которое рассматривается в контексте архитектуры города сквозь призму постструктуралистской теории текста Ж. Женетта. The article analyzes the creative method, demonstrating the main approaches of the architect M. A. Mamoshin to the motifs of northern modernism using the example of buildings and projects in the historical center of the city. The author finds out the reasons for turning to this style in the architect’s work, which is considered in the context of city architecture through the prism of the post-structuralist theory of the text by J. Genette.

Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to determine the artistic and graphic peculiarities of the Franco-Belgian exhibition poster of the 1890s in the context of the formation of the Art Nouveau style. The research methodology of the work is based on the use of traditional art methods: historical and cultural, reconstructive and model, historical and attributive, which contributed to the revealing of artistic and graphic transformations in the field of Franco-Belgian spectacular poster. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the author’s artistic interpretation of the stylistic manner of the creators of the spectacular poster in “style floreale” as one of the leading directions of the development of the artistic style of that period. The distinctive features of this type of the artistic work are outlined on the basis of the review of the stylistic and image transformations of exhibition posters of the famous artists – J. Chéret, A. Toulouse-Lautrec, E. Grasset, A. Mucha, A. Privat-Livemont and others. Attention is focused on the identification of the presentation features of the advertised exhibition events as an important cultural events of that time. Means of artistic visualization of information are studied taking into consideration the specific nature of the poster. Conclusions. In the general cultural and historical context of that time, the poster has become a significant component of the formation of national trends in the artistic style of the day, in particular - the Franco-Belgian Art Nouveau style. The exhibition poster, reflecting the stylistic landmarks of the time, contributed to the formation of the artistic vision as a manifestation of the cultural and artistic landmarks of the studied period.

Abstract:
Depuis 1994, l’Union Économique et Monétaire Ouest Africaine (UEMOA) s'est engagée dans un ambitieux projet d'harmonisation de sa fiscalité intérieure. Plus d'un quart de siècle après, ce document se propose d'évaluer les effets de cette politique d'harmonisation sur ses États membres et d'examiner l'application effective des mesures fiscales au sein de ces États. Cette étude met en lumière les réussites et les défis associés à cette stratégie d'harmonisation fiscale initiée par l’UEMOA. Bien que l'UEMOA ait réussi à établir un cadre normatif solide et ait atteint ses objectifs primaires d'harmonisation, le succès d'une politique fiscale se mesure à sa mise en oeuvre effective. À cet égard, les résultats sont nuancés. Il est impératif que l’UEMOA intensifie ses mécanismes de surveillance, de contrôle et de sanction, pour assurer une meilleure mise en oeuvre par ses États membres de sa politique fiscale communautaire. Parallèlement, une mise à jour de sa stratégie fiscale est nécessaire pour mieux répondre aux nouveaux défis nationaux des États membres, mais également aux défis internationaux, y compris ceux relatifs à la nouvelle gouvernance fiscale mondiale qui se met en place. En outre, certaines lacunes du système fiscal des États membres de l’UEMOA sont mises en exergue dans ce document. Pour garantir le succès de l'harmonisation fiscale, il est crucial que ces États renforcent leurs administrations fiscales, améliorent leur efficacité, et limitent les dépenses fiscales en rationnalisant les régimes dérogatoires et incitatifs qui entravent les objectifs communautaires et le bon fonctionnement du marché commun. Bien que quelques avancées notables aient été réalisées, il reste des domaines d'amélioration clés. Ce document est conclu par une feuille de route dressée pour l'UEMOA et ses États membres, soulignant les domaines sur lesquels des efforts concertés sont nécessaires pour maximiser l'efficacité de la politique fiscale régionale.
