Di Austria, Art Nouveau dikenal dengan istilah “Sezessionstil” dimana gaya tersebut dikembangkan oleh suatu perkumpulan para seniman di Vienna yaitu “Vienna Secession”. Gaya tersebut cenderung menggunakan rectilinear dan curvilinear sehingga karya bergaya Sezessionstil ini terkesan modern dan minimalis.
