A enzima L-asparaginase (ASNase) usada como biofármaco no tratamento de Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda (LLA) é de origem bacteriana, o que provoca reações imunológicas nos paciente e a ASNase usada no Brasil é importada o que dificulta seu uso por razões de abastecimento e de preço. In this work, the doping processes of the SA type stepped Ge (100) surface by arsine (AsH3) and diborane (B2H6) gas flow have been simulated seperately by the possible adsorption and dissociation models. The most stable adsorption and dissociation models of AsH3 and B2H6 on stepped Ge(100) surface have been determined by the local minimum total energy and/or binding energy calculations based on Hartree-Fock Theory. The present calculations have shown that, the step region (both up and down terraces) of the stepped Ge (100) surface has the most attractive sites for the initial adsorption stages

Activated Sludge Model N°3 (ASM3) was chosen as a basis to model an activated sludge system treating effluents from a mechanical pulp and paper mill. The wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) selected, located in Port Alberni, consists of a pH adjuster, primary clarifier (not modeled), five complete mixed bioreactors in series, and a secondary clarifier. The plant treats an average of 74,000 m³ d⁻¹, with the following average influent characteristics (primary effluent): COD of 594 g m⁻³, BOD of 250 g m⁻³, TSS of 27 g m⁻³, pH of 7.2, and temperature of 32°C.
