Ada 3 jenis sayuran yang biasa dimakan mentah yaitu kubis, kemangi dan selada bistik. Hasil pemeriksaan parasitologis menunjukkan bahwa sayuran tersebut positif mengandung telur atau larva cacing usus. Telur cacing yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah Ascaris lumbricoides.
