A mechanical ventilator known as a turbine ventilator harnesses the wind to supply natural ventilation. Due to their high performance and cheap running costs, these devices are increasingly being used to ventilate areas. This study evaluated the impact of a modified turbine ventilator system on thermal comfort and airflow inside a room. The results showed that the natural ventilation system failed to meet the ASHRAE Standard 55-2020 for thermal comfort. The installation of a turbine ventilator decreases the temperature by 1.3°C but still did not meet the standards. The modified turbine ventila

Adaptive thermal comfort models are increasingly utilized to condition thermal environments by considering occupants’ adaptability. The most widely recognized models internationally are the ASHRAE 55-2020 and UNE-EN 16798-1:2020 standards, primarily applied in residential and office buildings. However, their use in heritage buildings such as museums has been very limited. These environments present unique challenges that complicate the implementation of conventional energy-saving methodologies due to restrictions on interventions in the buildings to safeguard their historical value. Abstract Thermal conditions in buildings are influenced by climatic conditions and are determined by the thermal performance of the building itself. The thermal condition is caused by the transfer of heat flow between the environment and the building. This study aims to analyze the value of temperature, humidity, solar radiation, and wind speed with the presence of the water element as a modifier of the microclimate in the building as well as thermal comfort for the adaptation of visitor behavior. In today's era, more and more people spend most of their time indoors, with artificial climatic conditions, where thermal comfort is a basic factor such as a glazing system (ventilation), both for dimensions and material characteristics, this basic factor is very important because it affects the parameters involved in thermal comfort. One of the requirements for thermal comfort is good air circulation, good air circulation can also prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus that is currently engulfing the world. Therefore, research is needed to analyze the air flow engineering in the room, especi

The conventional approach to achieve thermal comfort generally focuses on modifying the setpoint temperature in fully air-conditioned buildings. However, the adaptive thermal comfort approach is an alternative that considers the interaction between buildings, the local climate, and the users to allow significant improvements in energy savings. This paper analyzes the feasibility of implementing adaptive thermal comfort strategies, comparing adaptive models based on the ASHRAE 55-2020 Standard and a regional model for the tropical climate typology of Mexico, and contrasting the results with the
