Recent morphological and molecular studies have clarified some aspects of the taxonomy of <i>Afissa</i> Dieke, 1947, but many species remain unexamined or misclassified. Additional taxonomic work is essential to resolve the classification and distribution of Afissa species in Asia, particularly in China.<i>Afissa xuexii</i> <b>sp. nov.</b> is described from Yunan and Guizhou Province, China. This new species is characteried by its typical bifurcated penis guide. Diagnosis, description and illustrations are provided.

The taxonomic status of Bryophila dolopis Hampson, 1908 is discussed. Based on morphological and molecular data we prove that this taxon is a good species. The description and diagnosis of this species are given. Distribution ranges of two closely related species, B. dolopis and B. felina (Eversmann, 1852), are described: B. dolopis is distributed in Southern Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Iran and China; B felina is distributed in Central, Southern, and Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Transcaucasia, in western part of Asia Minor and in Lebanon.
