Analysis of ASP.NET AJAX architecture Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), or AJAX, is a group of interrelated web development techniques used for creating interactive web applications or rich Internet applications. Providing developer with opportunities to create rich and user friendly interface, AJAX makes it possible to improve Internet users experience without requiring them to install any additional software. ASP.NET AJAX, formerly code-named Atlas, is a set of extensions to ASP.NET developed by Microsoft for implementing Ajax functionality. ASP.NET AJAX provides developers with two development scenarios: client-centric development model and server-centric development model. It provides a developer with the opportunity to choose a model which is suitable for specific task and which will distribute load between client and server effectively and optimize network usage. This article discusses the architecture of AJAX and ASP.NET AJAX technologies. The covered themes are AJAX and ASP.NET AJAX architectures, client and server frameworks, client-centric and server-centric development models.

Information transmission in the network is more and more accepted due to the fast and convenient of the network access. The MVC (Model-View-Controller) could be a very good solution to solve the problems as separating between user interface logic and business logic that developers found. We describe and explore ASP (Active Server Pages), PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) and robustness analysis method, and we implement MVC architecture in ASP.Net framework and PHP framework respectively. With the comparison between ASP.Net framework and PHP framework, in this study, our findings show that PHP framework is more difficult than ASP.Net framework to implement MVC architecture, and the ASP.Net framework is better than PHP framework under the same environment.

Utvecklingen på Internet har varit och är fortfarande explosionsartad. Fram

till för ett par år sedan lanserades ständigt nya tekniker som syftar till attförenkla och förbättra webbens funktionalitet. I början av webbutvecklingseran var HTML det enda språk som användes. Idag både används HTML i symbios med och konkurrerar med ett flertal komplexa webbutvecklingsspråk och tekniker. ASP.Net är en av de nyare teknikerna på marknaden.

Denna undersökning har genom intervjuer med 15 respondenter på 15 webbutvecklingsföretag syftat till att ta reda på, hur utbredd användningen av ASP.Net är hos Sveriges webbutvecklingsföretag, varför ASP.Net används eller inte används och hur utbredd användningen av ASP.Net kan tänkas vara om två år.

Resultatet som erhållits visar att cirka hälften av Sveriges webbutvecklingsbolag använder ASP.Net aktivt idag. Det visar även på att det är den kraftigt ökade efterfrågan från beställarna som har lett till användningsgraden och som antagligen kommer att öka användningen. Antalet

företag som använder ASP.Net om två år förespås vara cirka 87 procent.

Vi fick av netweb.se uppdraget att tillverka ett webbaserat tidbokningssystem. Detta tidbokningssystem skulle vara möjligt att applicera på många olika typer av verksamheter. Kunden framlade ett önskemål om att systemet skulle byggas i ASP.net.Tillsammans med detta system har vi även fördjupat oss i användbarhet och utnyttjat denna studie till att göra ett användbarhetstest. Resultaten av testet har utvärderats och applicerats på systemet.Projektet ledde till ett färdigt tidbokningssystem. Resultatet av användbarhetstestet visade på skillnader mellan yrkesgrupper, där människor inom databranschen hade störst svårigheter att ta till sig systemet. Anledningar till detta kan vara att utvecklare och datatekniker fokuserar på fel saker när de bedömer ett system, samt inte tänker som en användare. Även skillnader mellan kön och åldersgrupper visade sig i resultatet av användbarhetstestet.

The goal of this dissertation is to implement an application for ASP to ASPX conversion. The ASP pages should be written in the VBScript language, the target language for ASPX will be C#. The application is developed on the .NET platform. The conversion process should be automatic. There should be no need to alter the converted files by a programmer. The first part of this dissertation introduces the whole problematic. It shows also current solutions. The next part is the analysis and the design of the application itself. The main part of this dissertation is the VBScript grammar conversion, problems while conversion and its solving.

Abstract:
This paper explores the development and implementation of an in-browser map with the purpose of visualizing large sets of geographic data. The map is implemented into a pre-existing search engine of geographic data. Two mapping frameworks are compared in terms of performance, ease-of-use, and functionality. These frameworks are Leaflet and Google Maps. This paper also explores which issues may arise when implementing these mapping frameworks within a pre-existing ASP.NET project. These aspects were evaluated through performance tests, documentation reading, and compiling experiences gained through implementing the map within the search engine. The experiments show that both Leaflet and Google Maps are viable frameworks to use when developing in-browser maps, but also that they have their pros and cons. Google Maps sports a generally higher level of performance, and a larger set of paid available services. Leaflet is a free, open-source alternative with a large plugin repository, but relies on third-party services for features such as geocoding.

This paper proposes and evaluates a new framework for website image manipulation and its protection using ASP.NET framework in watermarking technique. The proposed framework shows how to protect the valuable website images from the unauthorized users and to preserve web server’s bandwidth by preventing other unauthorized websites from directly linking to the images of the authorized web server. This framework effectively preserves the quality of the website image by embedding JPEG file metadata as EXIF tags in website images. This framework provides additional features to users, such as rotate, colors, and contrasts, and also reduces installation time required by supplementary software for image manipulation. The results show that ASP.NET framework in watermarking technique for Image manipulation and protection are encouraging.
