Abstract:
This article presents a comparative study of the associative fields of the word “shame” in Russian and Chinese. The research builds on Charles Bally’s concept of associative fields, defined as a network of associated words clustered around a central stimulus word, with a clear distinction between the core and the periphery. The study focuses on the structure of these associative fields, with a specific emphasis on the associative responses of Russian and Chinese speakers to the stimulus SHAME/羞耻. The aim of the study is to identify the features of the national and cultural specificity of the c

The author considers the combination of stimulus-response as a speech action. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that the analysis of associative data is carried out based on the operati

The experiment is one of the effective ways to study the semantics of unofficial toponyms in the linguistic consciousness. The article presents a psycholinguistic description of unofficial toponyms of Yaroslavl. The toponyms is based on associative fields. We mean that unofficial toponyms are lexemes which are not fixed in dictionaries. In urban speech these toponyms have unofficial names of geographical objects. For the study, we chose two unofficial toponyms: Pyaterka and Bragino. Based on the results of free and directed associative experiments, we have formed associative fields of the corr

Based on the material of the Udmurt language, the article considers a field approach to the study of a word meaning from psycholinguistic positions. The relevance of addressing the study of word semantics in this perspective is determined by the fact that such studies with native speakers of the Udmurt language have not been conducted before. Also, the material of this study will provide an opportunity for further cross-language comparative work. We study the nilpotency degree of a relatively free finitely generated associative algebra with the identity xn = 0 over a finite field 𝔽 with q elements. In the case of q ≥ n the nilpotency degree is proven to be the same as in the case of an infinite field of the same characteristic. In the case of q = n - 1 it is shown that the nilpotency degree differs from the nilpotency degree for an infinite field of the same characteristic by at most one. The nilpotency degree is explicitly computed for n = 3.
