We present a parameterized method to design multivibrator circuits via piecewise-linear (PWL) chaotic systems, which can exhibit double-scroll oscillations. The circuit is conformed exploiting a parametric modulation that manipulates the equilibrium stability of each linear subsystem. Chua's oscillator is used as benchmark to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method to design multivibrator circuits. Thus, our proposal allows the design of the three configurations of a multivibrator: monostable, astable, and bistable. Potential applications are illustrated designing a pulse generator

The behavior of a neural network model for binocular rivalry is explored through the development of an analogy between it and an electronic astable multivibrator circuit. The model incorporates reciprocal feedback inhibition between signals from the left and the right eyes prior to binocular convergence. The strength of inhibitory coupling determines whether the system undergoes rivalrous oscillations or remains in stable fusion: strong coupling leads to oscillations, weak coupling to fusion. This implies that correlation between spatial patterns presented to the two eyes can affect the streng

This paper aims at presenting three voltage mode square wave generator circuits using single current differencing buffered amplifier (CDBA), a recently proposed mixed mode building block. The first proposed circuit produces a variable frequency output having fixed duty cycle, whereas the rest of the circuits have variable duty cycle. One of the circuits uses passive element adjustment to control the duty cycle, whereas electronic control is used in the other circuit. The workability of the proposed circuits is confirmed through SPICE simulations and experimental work.

Abstract:
In today’s time more than 70% of the world’s population suffer from eye disnormalities leading to the usage of eyewear or spectacles. Integrating profound technologies with daily utilities could serve some of the issues improving and optimizing our lifestyle to the most. One such way is to infuse nanosized chip in eyewear i.e., powered spectacles or shades to detect the location of the spectacles whenever it is necessary. The nanosized chip proposed has features including self-designed Bluetooth operating digital circuit, timer logic, clock generation using astable multivibrator circuit, emerg

Abstract:
This article introduces a two-dimensionally extended, neuron-based model for binocular rivalry. The basic block of the model is a certain type of astable multivibrator comprising excitatory and inhibitory neurons. Many of these blocks are laterally coupled on a medium range to provide a two-dimensional layer. Our model, like others, needs noise to reproduce typical stochastic oscillations. Due to its spatial extension, the noise has to be laterally correlated. When the contrast ratio of the pictures varies, their share of the perception time changes in a way that is known from comparable exper

Gasification of biomass can be done with pure oxygen or with ambient air. We have chosen gasification with ambient air in our project for costs considerations. Relative humidity (RH) of the air we used with a downdraft co-current gasifier is monitored in this paper. RH sensor used in this paper presents a capacitor which depends on the amount of water contained in the gaseous mixture. That RH, behaving as a variable capacitor is inserted in serial with the RC circuit of an astable multivibrator. Frequency of the oscillator is dependent of the resistance and the capacity which depends on the RH

Abstract:
Nowadays solid state technology, engine driven generators, as an aircraft power system, supply 400Hz elecctrical loads for more efficient and effectiveness. The system produces stable and constant 400Hz from variable input frequency of DC link converter. Constant speed drive was momentously replaced by means of providing a constant frequency power supply of static frequency converter. Furthermore, easiness of repair and replacement, reduction in servicing needs, and the ability to locate the components of the electrical system are extended effectiveness of static frequency converter. Abstract:
Plasmonic nanoparticles can be employed as a promising integrated platform for lumped optical nanoelements with unprecedentedly high integration capacity and efficient nanoscale ultrafast nonlinear functionality. Further minimizing the size of plasmonic nanoelements will lead to a rich variety of nonlocal optical effects due to the nonlocal nature of electrons in plasmonic materials. In this work, we theoretically investigate the nonlinear chaotic dynamics of the plasmonic core-shell nanoparticle dimer consisting of a nonlocal plasmonic core and a Kerr-type nonlinear shell at nanometer scale.
