Abstract:
AbstractThe first of three Antarctic Survey Telescopes (AST3-1), a 50/68cm Schmidt-like equatorial-mount telescope, is the first trackable Chinese telescope operating on the Antarctic plateau. It was installed at Dome A (80°22′, 77°21′E, 4,093m), the highest place on the Antarctic plateau, in 2012. The telescope is unmanned during night-time operations through the Austral winter. The telescope optics and mechanics, as well as the motors and position sensors, are exposed to a harsh environment. The mechanics is enclosed with a foldable tent-like dome to prevent snow, diamond dust and ice. While the control cabinet containing drive boxes, circuit board boxes, power converters and the Telescope Control Computer (TCC) is located inside the warm instrumental module. In about 15 weeks remote testing and commissioning, from January 24 when the expedition team left there to May 8, when the communication failed, we obtained images with the best FWHM of less than 2″. We also recorded the telescope movement performance and fine-tuned the dynamic properties of the telescope control system. Some experiences and lessons will be disscussed in this paper.

Abstract:
In this paper, we develop a transpire freight impact test system based on ASTM D6537 standard. Test object is the transportation packaging of the laptop computer in the process of drop impact test. Data acquisition are handled using low-pass filter via Matlab software, which calculated four test indicators that consist of peak acceleration, the filtered acceleration, velocity change and pulse duration. We use several drop ways, which the drop height is 40cm and 70cm, respectively. Experiments show that the test object can protect the product safety when drop height is 70cm, but the box will be broken.

Abstract:
Recently, the semi-active control method has attracted significant attention from many researchers and engineers. This method aims to minimize a structure's response by changing the damper capacity according to the state of the structure and the external loads, and various kinds of semi-active control algorithms have been proposed. A lot of them utilize mathematically difficult algorithms that require complicated computer systems. With these methods, we can not evaluate the effectiveness and overall safety of the system under various kinds of loads. One reason is that the behaviors of structures incorporating such complicated control systems can not be evaluated by conventional means such as equivalent viscous damping factor based on hysteresis. Therefore, a semi-active control system is wished in which the control effects can be easily quantified as with passive control systems. This paper describes the result of having proposed the simple quantification approach for the semi-active control effectiveness.

"Internalization of the Aspergillus nidulans AstA Transporter into Mitochondria Depends on Growth Conditions, and Affects ATP Levels and Sulfite Oxidase Activity." Full text
Abstract:
The astA gene encoding an alternative sulfate transporter was originally cloned from the genome of the Japanese Aspergillus nidulans isolate as a suppressor of sulfate permease-deficient strains. Expression of the astA gene is under the control of the sulfur metabolite repression system. The encoded protein transports sulfate across the cell membrane. In this study we show that AstA, having orthologs in numerous pathogenic or endophytic fungi, has a second function and, depending on growth conditions, can be translocated into mitochondria. This effect is especially pronounced when an astA-overexpressing strain grows on solid medium at 37 °C. AstA is also recruited to the mitochondria in the presence of mitochondria-affecting compounds such as menadione or antimycin A, which are also detrimental to the growth of the astA-overexpressing strain. Disruption of the Hsp70–Porin1 mitochondrial import system either by methylene blue, an Hsp70 inhibitor, or by deletion of the porin1-encoding gene abolishes AstA translocation into the mitochondria. Furthermore, we observed altered ATP levels and sulfite oxidase activity in the astA-overexpressing strain in a manner dependent on sulfur sources. The presented data indicate that AstA is also involved in the mitochondrial sulfur metabolism in some fungi, and thereby indirectly manages redox potential and energy state.

Abstract:
The immediate impulse-response of a confined incompressible fluid is characterized by inertance. For a vessel with one inlet and outlet, this is a single quantity; for multiple ports the generalization is a singular reciprocal inertance matrix which acts on the port-impulses to give the corresponding inflows. The reciprocal inertance coefficients are defined by the boundary fluxes of potential flows. Green's identity converts these coefficients to domain integrals of kinetic energy. For a system discretized with finite elements, a third method is proposed for computing reciprocal inertance coefficients which requires only the stiffness matrix and the solution vectors and no numerical differentiation. Abstract:
With the rapid development of communication technology, modern communication technology has been widely penetrated into modern national defense, science and technology, people's life and other fields, and has become a means to provide high-quality and seamless information communication between people and machines. With the rapid development of computer technology and the Internet, the traditional program-controlled switching technology has come to an end, and the soft-switch network based on IP technology and packet switching has gradually replaced the program-controlled switching network based on circuit switching and become the mainstream of today's communication network world. The rapid development of VOIP telephony reduces the cost of domestic and international long-distance telephony, benefiting consumers. Digital mobile communication expands channel capacity, improves service quality and promotes the rapid development of this industry. Based on the secondary development of the open source FreeSWITCH software, this paper develops a VOIP voice system based on IP technology to meet different user needs intelligently [1].

Abstract:
Offshore oil multi-platform interconnected power system is developing rapidly. The proposal of an effective economic evaluation method that fits the actual production situation of offshore oilfields is very meaningful for the planning and construction of multi-platform interconnected power systems. This article proposes the electric depreciation, depletion, and amortization (DD&A) barrel oil cost S and maximum expected benefit per unit power generation Ie as economic indicators, considering the actual production characteristics and life cycle of the oil field. In order to build a complete economic evaluation system, this article also introduces the N−1 pass rate ηN−1, voltage qualification rate γ, power supply reliability ASAI (Average Service Availability Index), and other reliability indicators to evaluate the offshore power system. When calculating the weight of the indicators, analytic hierarchy method (AHP) was applied to calculate subjective weights, and an entropy method was applied to calculate objective weights. To unify the two weights, the ideal point method is proposed to obtain compound weights. Finally, this article selects an offshore oil field in Bohai Bay, China as example, and analyses short-term small-scale, long-term large-scale, and actual power system as calculation examples in different planning periods. The analysis result verifies the effectiveness of the economic evaluation method.

Abstract:
The crystallisation mechanism of glass-ceramic materials from a CMAS group Al0.37B0.34Fe0.01Mg0.02Zn0.29Ca0.05Si0.78O3 was tested under non-isothermal conditions by the DTA method. Glass-ceramic material of two-phase composition with precipitation of crystallites from islet silicates Zn2SiO4 and a crystalline phase from a spinel group, gahnite ZnAl2O4 was obtained in the system under investigation. Activation energy of a crystallization process Ea was determined and a crystal growth morphology parameter n was computed. It was revealed that in the test material from a CMAS group one could obtain the crystalline phase in the form of ghanite as a result of a controlled process of crystallization. The occurrence of a spinel phase caused the obtained glass-ceramic material had higher fracture toughness (KIC) than material from a CMAS group, containing pyroxene crystalline phases typical for this system.
