Full text
Abstract:
ObjectiveEmergency general surgery (EGS) patients experience superior outcomes when cared for within an acute surgical unit (ASU) model. EGS structures in most Australian hospitals remain unknown. This study aimed to describe the national spectrum of EGS models. MethodsA cross-sectional study was performed of all Australian public hospitals of medium or greater peer group (>2000 patient separations per annum). The primary outcome was the incidence of each EGS model. Secondary outcomes were the relationship of the EGS model to objective hospital variables, and qualitative reasons for the choice of model. ResultsOf the 120 eligible hospitals, 119 (99%) participated. Sixty-four hospitals reported using an ASU (28%) or hybrid EGS model (26%), whereas the remaining 55 (46%) used a traditional model. ASU implementation was significantly more common among hospitals of greater peer group, bed number, surgeon pool and trauma service sophistication. Leading drivers for ASU commencement were aims to improve patient care and decrease after-hours operating, whereas common barriers against uptake were insufficient EGS patient load or surgeon on-call pool. ConclusionsASU or hybrid models of care may be more widespread than currently reported. The introduction of such structures is heavily dependent on hospital and staff size, trauma subspecialisation and EGS patient throughput. What is known about the topic?Traditionally, general surgical staff were rostered to elective operating and clinic duties, with emergency patients managed on an ad hoc basis. An ASU model, with a surgeon dedicated to EGS patients, has been associated with superior outcomes. However, the Australian uptake of this model is unknown. What does this paper add? This study enrolled 119 of 120 (99%) Australian public hospitals of medium or greater peer group (>2000 patient separations per annum). Uptake of the ASU or hybrid model was more widespread than expected, existing in 64 of 119 (54%) centres. Factors for and against ASU implementation were also assessed. What are the implications for practitioners?Hospitals considering implementing an ASU or hybrid model will be reassured by the common reports of improved patient outcomes and decreased after-hours operating. However, potential hospitals must assess the suitability of the ASU model to their surgeon pool and EGS patient load.

Abstract:
In this study, iron oxide (Fe3O4) was coated with ZrO2, and doped with three rare earth elements((Y/La/Ce), and a multi-staged rare earth doped zirconia adsorbent was prepared by using uniform design U14, Response Surface methodology, and orthogonal design, to remove As3+ and As5+ from the aqueous solution. Based on the results of TEM, EDS, XRD, FTIR, and N2-adsorption desorption test, the best molar ratio of Fe3O4:TMAOH:Zirconium butoxide:Y:La:Ce was selected as 1:12:11:1:0.02:0.08. The specific surface area and porosity was 263 m2/g, and 0.156 cm3/g, respectively. The isothermal curves and fitting equation parameters show that Langmuir model, and Redlich Peterson model fitted well. As per calculations of the Langmuir model, the highest adsorption capacities for As3+ and As5+ ions were recorded as 68.33 mg/g, 84.23 mg/g, respectively. The fitting curves and equations of the kinetic models favors the quasi second order kinetic model. Material regeneration was very effective, and even in the last cycle the regeneration capacities of both As3+ and As5+ were 75.15%, and 77.59%, respectively. Adsorption and regeneration results suggest that adsorbent has easy synthesis method, and reusable, so it can be used as a potential adsorbent for the removal of arsenic from aqueous solution.

Abstract:
ObjectiveTo assess the incidence and risks of common extra-articular manifestations (EAMs), that is, acute anterior uveitis (AAU), psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) compared with population-based controls.MethodsAll incident patients with AS (n=4101) from the UK Clinical Practice Research Datalink (1987–2012) were matched with up to seven control subjects without AS by year of birth, sex and practice (n=28 591). Incidence rates, cumulative incidence rates and adjusted (adj) HRs for the development of EAMs were calculated, with time-dependent adjustments for age, sex, comorbidity and medication use.ResultsAt diagnosis of AS, the proportion of patients with an EAM was 11.4% for AAU, 4.4% for psoriasis and 3.7% for IBD. Incidence rates of EAMs were 8.9/1000 person-years for AAU, 3.4/1000 person-years for psoriasis and 2.4 /1000 person-years for IBD in AS. The 20-year cumulative incidence was 24.5%, 10.1% and 7.5%, respectively. Risks of EAMs were 1.5-fold to 16-fold increased versus controls, with an adj HR of 15.5 (95% CI 11.6 to 20.7) for AAU, adj HR of 1.5 (95% CI 1.1 to 1.9) for psoriasis and adj HR of 3.3 (95% CI 2.3 to 4.8) for IBD. For psoriasis and IBD, the highest risks were found in the 1st years after diagnosis, while developing AAU continued to be increased also 10 years after diagnosis of AS.ConclusionsThe risk of, in particular AAU, but also of psoriasis and IBD, is significantly increased in patients with AS compared with controls. Hazard patterns are different for each of the EAMs.

Abstract:
ObjectivesExtra-articular manifestations (EAMs) are important systemic features of axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), which may influence the choice of tumour necrosis factor-inhibitor (TNFi). We examined the cumulative incidence and predictors of EAMs and the influence of these on first TNFi choice in a ‘real-world’ cohort of patients with axSpA.MethodsClinical and patient-reported outcomes of 2420 patients with axSpA from 83 centres were collected by the British Society for Rheumatology Biologics Register in Ankylosing Spondylitis. Lifestyle factors for EAMs (acute anterior uveitis (AAU), inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), psoriasis) were compared with those without EAMs. Also, the association between pretreatment EAMs and choice of first TNFi (adalimumab, etanercept, certolizumab) was analysed.ResultsAAU was directly associated with human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-B27 (incidence rate ratio (IRR) 1.95, 95% CI 1.40 to 2.73) and inversely associated with ever-smoking (IRR=0.71, 95% CI 0.55 to 0.92). For both psoriasis and IBD, there was an inverse relationship with HLA-B27 (IRR 0.54, 95% CI 0.36 to 0.79 and IRR 0.63, 95% CI 0.43 to 0.91, respectively). A diagnosis of either AAU (OR 3.79, 95% CI 2.11 to 6.80) or IBD (OR 5.50, 95% CI 2.09 to 14.46) was associated with preference for adalimumab versus others. In contrast, a diagnosis of either AAU (OR 0.14, 95% CI 0.06 to 0.33) or IBD (OR 0.17, 95% CI 0.05 to 0.57) was associated with less preference for etanercept over other TNFi.ConclusionThe higher occurrence of AAU and lower occurrence of psoriasis and IBD in HLA-B27-positive patients with axSpA are consistent with current pathophysiology. Patients with previous AAU and IBD are more likely to be prescribed adalimumab and less likely to receive etanercept, consistent with the superior efficacy of monoclonal TNFi for these indications. Future work will determine whether EAMs influence TNFi survival, or effectiveness, and whether this varies between agents.

Abstract:
Clinical diagnoses of sepsis that relate to bacterial infection were responsible for 650,000 admissions and 55,000 deaths in English hospitals last year. The vast majority of these patients are admitted to acute medicine units (AMUs) via Emergency Departments (EDs). AMUs and EDs are the areas where the biggest improvement in patient outcomes can be made, with better integrated, standardized and collaborative systems focused on early recognition, expedient intervention and senior review.

Abstract:
BackgroundOut-of-hospital cardiac arrest, the leading cause of death among patients on hemodialysis, occurs frequently within outpatient dialysis centers. Practice guidelines recommend resuscitation training for all dialysis clinic staff and on-site defibrillator availability, but the extent of staff involvement in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) efforts and its association with outcomes is unknown.MethodsWe used data from the Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services dialysis facility database to identify patients who had cardiac arrest within outpatient dialysis clinics between 2010 and 2016 in the southeastern United States. We compared outcomes of patients who received dialysis staff–initiated CPR with those who did not until the arrival of emergency medical services (EMS).ResultsAmong 398 OHCA events in dialysis clinics, 66% of all patients presented with a nonshockable initial rhythm. Dialysis staff initiated CPR in 81.4% of events and applied defibrillators before EMS arrival in 52.3%. Staff were more likely to initiate CPR among men and witness cardiac arrests, and were more likely to provide CPR within larger dialysis clinics. Staff-initiated CPR was associated with a three-fold increase in the odds of hospital discharge and favorable neurologic status on discharge. There was no overall association between staff-initiated defibrillator use and outcomes, but there was a nonsignificant trend toward improved survival to hospital discharge in the subgroup with shockable initial cardiac arrest rhythms.ConclusionsDialysis staff–initiated CPR was associated with a large increase in survival but was only performed in 81% of cardiac arrest events. Further investigations should focus on understanding the potential facilitators and barriers to CPR in the dialysis setting.

Abstract:
Objective. To investigate whether advanced glycation endproducts (AGEs) in the skin are increased in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) and are related to the presence of disease-related and traditional cardiovascular risk factors.Methods. Skin autofluorescence, as a measure for the accumulation of AGEs, was assessed by measuring UV-A light excitation-emission matrices (AF-EEMS) in 41 SSc patients and 41 age- and sex-matched controls. Traditional cardiovascular risk factors and disease-related risk factors were recorded.Results. Skin AF-EEMS did not differ between SSc patients and controls (1.68±0.58 a.u. versus1.63±0.41 a.u.,P=0.684). Skin AF-EEMS in SSc patients was associated with levels of CRP (r=0.44,P=0.004), Medsger's severity scale (r=0.45,P=0.006), and use of agents intervening in the renin-angiotensin system (r=0.33,P=0.027). When analysing SSc patients and controls together, in multivariate analysis, only age and use of agents intervening in the renin-angiotensin system were independently associated with AF-EEMS.Conclusion. These data demonstrate that skin AGEs are not increased in SSc patients.

Abstract:
Abstract. The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of Baikal EM1 on the productive parameters of the bee colonies (Apis mellifera L.) during spring and autumn feeding and the chemical composition of the worker bee bodies. Two groups of bee colonies were formed (1 experimental group and 1 control group). During the spring feeding the experimental group was fed with Baikal ЕМ1 at a dose of 5 ml/0.500 L added in the sugar syrup (sugar:water 1:1) for 4 consecutive days at the start of the experiment. Each bee colony received 5 L sugar syrup. During the autumn feeding the experimental group received Baikal ЕМ1 at a dose of 20 ml/10 L sugar syrup. Each bee colony received 10 L sugar syrup. The control group received only sugar syrup. The spring and autumn feeding of the group fed with Baikal EM1 significantly increases the strength of the bee colonies and the amount of the sealed worker brood compared to the control group. According to the results obtained for the strength of the bee colonies and the bee brood supplementary feeding with Baikal EM1 is very effective in the autumn feeding. For these two parameters there are significant differences between the experimental and control on 29.08. (p<0.01), 10.09. (p<0.05) and 22.09.2018 (p<0.01). Statistically significant differences were reported for the strength of the bee colonies (p<0.01) and the amount of sealed worker brood (p<0.001) in the experimental group receiving Baikal EM1 before wintering compared to the control group. It can be expected to reveal a tendency for better spring development in the next year. Feeding with Baikal EM1 does not affect the chemical composition of worker bee bodies.

Abstract:
Abstract In data assimilation for NWP, accurate estimation of error covariance matrices (ECMs) and their use are essential to improve NWP accuracy. The objective of this study is to estimate ECMs of all observations and background variables using sampling statistics, and improve global NWP accuracy by using them. This study presents the first results of such all ECM refinement. ECM diagnostics combining multiple methods, and analysis and forecast cycle experiments were performed on the JMA global NWP system, where diagonal components of all ECMs and off-diagonal components of radiance observations are refined. The ECM diagnostic results are as follows: 1) the diagnosed error standard deviations (SDs) are generally much smaller than those of the JMA operational system (CNTL); 2) interchannel correlations in humidity-sensitive radiance errors are much larger than 0.2; and 3) horizontal correlation distances of AMSU-A are ~50 km, excluding channel 4. The experimental results include the following: 1) the diagnosed ECMs generally improve forecast accuracy over CNTL even without additional tunings; 2) the supplemental tuning parameter, which is the deflation factor (0.6 in SD) applied for the estimated ECMs of nonsatellite conventional data and GPS radio occultation data, statistically significantly improves forecast accuracy; 3) this value 0.6 is set as the same value as the ratio of the estimated background error SD to that in CNTL; 4) high-density assimilation (10 times) of AMSU-A is better than CNTL, not better than that with 5 times; and 5) ECMs estimated using boreal summer data can improve forecast accuracy in winter, which indicates their robustness.

Abstract:
According to the Directive 2007/43/EC, broiler farms can house animals up to 39 kg/m2, provided that specific environmental requirements are met. However, limited information is available about the effects of stocking density (SD) on broiler health and welfare, including the need for antimicrobial use. In this study, annual data on mortality, feed conversion rate, and antimicrobial use (AMU) are compared between broiler farms with stocking densities of 39 kg/m2 (N = 257) and 33 kg/m2 (N = 87). These farms were distributed throughout Italy and belonged to the same integrated poultry company. Antimicrobial use data were obtained from each farm and production cycle; AMU was expressed using the defined daily doses (DDD) method proposed by EMA. The annual AMU per farm was calculated as the median AMU over all cycles. Stratified analysis by sex and geographical area (Italy vs Northern Italy) showed no significant effect of stocking density on broiler mortality, feed conversion rate, and AMU. However, a higher AMU variability among farms with 39 kg/m2 stocking density vs. those with 33 kg/m2 was found. This study indicates that AMU does not apparently vary between animals reared at different stocking densities in intensive farms.

Abstract:
BackgroundThe kidney proximal convoluted tubule (PCT) reabsorbs filtered macromolecules via receptor-mediated endocytosis (RME) or nonspecific fluid phase endocytosis (FPE); endocytosis is also an entry route for disease-causing toxins. PCT cells express the protein ligand receptor megalin and have a highly developed endolysosomal system (ELS). Two PCT segments (S1 and S2) display subtle differences in cellular ultrastructure; whether these translate into differences in endocytotic function has been unknown.MethodsTo investigate potential differences in endocytic function in S1 and S2, we quantified ELS protein expression in mouse kidney PCTs using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and immunostaining. We also used multiphoton microscopy to visualize uptake of fluorescently labeled ligands in both living animals and tissue cleared using a modified CLARITY approach.ResultsUptake of proteins by RME occurs almost exclusively in S1. In contrast, dextran uptake by FPE takes place in both S1 and S2, suggesting that RME and FPE are discrete processes. Expression of key ELS proteins, but not megalin, showed a bimodal distribution; levels were far higher in S1, where intracellular distribution was also more polarized. Tissue clearing permitted imaging of ligand uptake at single-organelle resolution in large sections of kidney cortex. Analysis of segmented tubules confirmed that, compared with protein uptake, dextran uptake occurred over a much greater length of the PCT, although individual PCTs show marked heterogeneity in solute uptake length and three-dimensional morphology.ConclusionsStriking axial differences in ligand uptake and ELS function exist along the PCT, independent of megalin expression. These differences have important implications for understanding topographic patterns of kidney diseases and the origins of proteinuria.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this exploratory study is to explore parent and school administrator perspectives on the value and nature of parent involvement in the city of Abu Dhabi through their perceptions of roles and responsibilities. Design/methodology/approach – The study is conducted in a random purposive sample of Public–Private Partnership schools during Abu Dhabi Education Council’s school reform. Findings – Findings show that while both administrators and parents agree on the value of parental involvement, the perceptions of their own and each others’ roles and responsibilities means that parent involvement is characterized by unfulfilled expectations. Practical implications – Recommendations are made to arrive at realistic roles and responsibilities for parent involvement and recommendations for a model of mutually responsive practice to evolve within a policy framework, with the support of ADEC, and informed by international and locally based research. Originality/value – The paper sheds light on a new educational dimension beyond curricula and instruction.

Abstract:
The research was carried out about the effect of adding rice husk ash to physical and mechanical properties of mortar. Mortar was moulded with three composition comparisons between ordinary portland cement, rice husk ash, and rice stalk fiber. Rice husk ash was burned at temperature of 700 OC for 2 hours, rice stalk fiber was mechanically sliced up to 0.8 mm in size, then mortar molding and maintenance was processed for 28 days. The mortars that had reached the age of 28 days were tested according to the Indonesia National Standard (SNI) including physical properties (water absorption, density), and mechanical properties (compressive strength, modulus of elasticity, modulus of rupture). Characterization of microstructure, morphology and counting all elements on the surface of mortar were processed by using Scanning Electron Microscopy - Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). The results of research that had been carried out, mortar with the most optimum physical and mechanical properties was mortar B with a composition of 65%: 10%: 25%. The results of the characterization using SEM-EDS showed that the surface of mortar B was better with grain diameter (1.4 ± 0.9) µm and the most dominant element in the mortar was element of Ca and Si which functioned as mortar binder and hardener.

Abstract:
SUMMARY Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standard No. 5 (AS5) allows external auditors (EAs) to rely on the internal audit function (IAF) when the internal audit activities meet certain criteria and the EAs would find efficiencies in relying on their work (PCAOB 2007). This paper reviews the extant literature on the EAs' reliance on IAF, identifies gaps in the literature, and proposes a series of research questions aimed at closing these gaps. We focus our review on research pertaining to how environmental factors and IAF-specific factors influence initial EAs' reliance decisions, the nature and extent of EAs' reliance on IAF, and the observable outcomes as a result of EAs' reliance decisions. Our review finds that the environment in which EAs must make a reliance decision is complex—involving several factors that must be considered simultaneously. Moreover, an evolving set of auditing standards introduces several necessary intermediary judgments that the EAs must process before, and during, reliance on the IAF. In addition, our review indicates that we continue to know very little about how, and to what extent, EAs are currently evaluating IAF's quality factors. Similarly, while we find that the nature and extent of EAs' reliance on IAF is influenced by account risk, inherent risk, and IAF sourcing, how the EAs choose task environments (e.g., revenue recognition versus payroll), and the types of tests to be relied upon within these task environments, is not completely understood. Finally, we find that there is a paucity of research concerning the effects of EAs' reliance on IAF in terms of external audit quality.

Abstract:
Blazars in outburst provide a unique opportunity to study their spectral behavior, correlated variations at different frequencies, and jet structure. An unprecedented flaring activity in FSRQ CTA 102, occuring from 2016 November to 2017 January, is used here for a detailed study to understand flaring mechanisms at short and long timescales, spectral behavior in different energy regimes, and to estimate sizes and location of the high-energy emitting region in the jet. Multiwavelength (MW) data for CTA 102 during its outburst period, were obtained from Fermi-LAT, Swift-XRT/UVOT, Steward Observatory, Mt Abu Infrared Observatory, and OVRO. These were analyzed to construct MW light curves, extract the spectral information, and to perform the correlated variability studies. Our study shows that CTA 102 attained the highest ever flux levels across the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) while flaring and otherwise, with rapid and prolonged activities at all the frequencies. A number of short-term (three to eight days) and long-term (more than a month) variability events are noticed across the EMS. We infer a redder when brighter trend in faint state and a bluer when brighter trend during a few optical flares. Based on the flux doubling timescale, the size of γ-ray emitting region is estimated as ≈8.76 × 1015 cm, located at a distance of about 5.58 × 1016 cm from the central engine. CTA 102 was in extremely bright phase during 2016–2017, possibly due to, successive high energy particle injections into the jet, creating shocks traveling down the jet which lead to the overall flux enhancement across the EMS. Alternatively, a decreasing viewing angle could also lead to such flux enhancement. The study reveals correlated variations in all the energy bands, with lags within time bins, indicating co-spatial origin of the emissions. During the flaring event, a bluer-when-brighter color in the optical and harder when brighter trend in the X-ray and γ-ray spectra are noticed. During some flares softer γ-ray spectra are observed.

Abstract:
BackgroundRenal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is a major cause of AKI. Noncoding RNAs are intricately involved in the pathophysiology of this form of AKI. Transcription of hypoxia-induced, long noncoding RNA H19, which shows high embryonic expression and is silenced in adults, is upregulated in renal I/R injury.MethodsLentivirus-mediated overexpression, as well as antisense oligonucleotide-based silencing, modulated H19 in vitro. In vivo analyses used constitutive H19 knockout mice. In addition, renal vein injection of adeno-associated virus 2 (AAV2) carrying H19 caused overexpression in the kidney. Expression of H19 in kidney transplant patients with I/R injury was investigated.ResultsH19 is upregulated in kidney biopsies of patients with AKI, in murine ischemic kidney tissue, and in cultured and ex vivo sorted hypoxic endothelial cells (ECs) and tubular epithelial cells (TECs). Transcription factors hypoxia-inducible factor 1-α, LHX8, and SPI1 activate H19 in ECs and TECs. H19 overexpression promotes angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo. In vivo, transient AAV2-mediated H19 overexpression significantly improved kidney function, reduced apoptosis, and reduced inflammation, as well as preserving capillary density and tubular epithelial integrity. Sponging of miR-30a-5p mediated the effects, which, in turn, led to target regulation of Dll4, ATG5, and Snai1.ConclusionsH19 overexpression confers protection against renal injury by stimulating proangiogenic signaling. H19 overexpression may be a promising future therapeutic option in the treatment of patients with ischemic AKI.

Abstract:
Work behaviours and training effects of artificial muscle based on electrochemomechanical strain (ECMS) of conducting polymer, polypyrrole (PPy) films have been studied under tensile stress up to 5 MPa. PPy films were electrochemically deposited in dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid. Cyclic voltammetry and ECMS were measured in 1M NaCl aqueous solutions. At higher stress, a larger creeping due to the conformation change, slipping and/or breaking of polymer chains was observed. After the experience of large tensile stress an appreciable increase of strain (training effect) was observed, when the film was actuated at lower tensile stress. The training effect was discussed in terms of the relaxation of anisotropic strain induced during the creeping. The conversion efficiency from electrical to mechanical energies was 0.07 % at 3 - 4 MPa being the maximum. Degradation of film was found to be accelerated under higher tensile stress from the measurement of conductivity.

Abstract:
AbstractCentral to the conception of this article is the architectural theorist Bernard Tschumi's dictum, ‘There is no architecture without action, no architecture without events, no architecture without program … no architecture without violence.’ Shaped as well by Eyal Weizman's conception of ‘forensic architecture’, the focus of the investigation is on Israel's architecture of security and on the corresponding Palestinian architecture of resistance. Emphasising an encounter of cartographies that reveals the way Palestinians make life livable in response to the architectural violence they face, the analysis continues with reference to Yari Sharif's analysis of architectures of resistance and with a reading of a feature film, Hany Abu-Assad's Omar (2013) in which the Separation Wall between Israel and Palestine is one of the film's primary agent/protagonists. The article surveys popular culture texts, focused on crime and espionage to analyse a range of security practices and breaches that amplify the analysis with attention to security issues in individual households, multiple-person dwelling arrangements, architectural locations throughout cities, and buildings housing governmental security agencies. That trajectory of architectural sites lends a micropolitical analysis to the macropolitical level of governmental policy and modes of resistance to it.

Abstract:
Lokon volcano where located on North arm of Sulawesi is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. Behaviour of its eruptions have been learned through microstructure analysis of volcanic ash. The goal of microstructure characterization is estimate value of magma viscosity and permeability. Characterization of microstructure using XRD, FTIR, SEM/EDS/XRF and µCT. Lokon volcanic ash is a polymorph minerals which contains many plagioclase crystal. Ash has water content between 0.3 – 0.6 % wt and its groundmass contains vesicular and non vesicular particles. Viscosity of Lokon magma is about 107Pa.s at 10000C and fraction of crystal volum between 0.45-0.5. These results showed that magma rheology of Lokon is non Newtonian and the mechanism of its fragmentation is brittle fragmentation. Based on permeability and porosity that quantified by µCT, it is concluded that the brittle fragmentation is not triggered by outgassing. Dynamics of explosive eruption of Lokon volcano at 2012-2013 is moderate vulcanian eruption.

Abstract. Theviolence and injustice that often occurs toward women is partly due tobiased Bible texts interpretation and sometimes androcentric. For example, John 7: 53-8: 1-11, about a woman who was committed an adultery, the interpretation, by the traditional approach, emphasizes on Jesus’ act of love and forgiveness toward the woman. This article aimed to explore the narration from the perspective of feminist by using E.S. Fiorenza methodology to uncover the woman's silence in the text. Through this study, it was found that the silence act of the women is for describing a patriarchal culture that dominates and unfair to women. Jesus' defense to this woman was at the same time as a critique for the dominant oppressive power.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Liquid phase method (sol–gel method) was employed to synthesize MgO nanparticles. The particles were subjected to structural, morphological and optical property studies. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV-Vis Spectrophotometer were employed to characterize the given sample. The X-ray pattern obtained had no impurity peak, revealing high purity of the sample. The particle size and morphology were investigated by SEM. EDS and FT-IR studies were done for knowing the composition and surface passivation respectively of the prepared sample. The estimation of the band-gap was carried out by UV-vis absorption spectra.
