Abstract:
THIS PAPER ARGUES that the call to teach ought to be conceptualized not so much in terms of subject matter (‘what’) or teaching method (‘how’) but with respect to the subjectivity of the people involved – that is, of the one who teaches and of the one who is taught. Building explicitly on the work of Emmanuel Levinas, the essay develops the idea of a responsible subject as the condition that makes visible the distinctiveness about the call to teach, suggesting that God's call to teach manifests itself through the face of the student, in the asymmetric relation between the teacher and the stude

Abstract. This article is based on the fact that until now there has not been any serious at-tempt to improve field experience practice (PPL). This was indicated by a number of common problems that occur surrounding fiend experience practice, such as inability to maximally meet the goals of the program, ambiguity of supervisor teachers’ job description in educating student teachers, and loose and asymmetrical coordination between teachers college (LPTK) as producer and schools as industry. Thus, there needs to be restoration of field experience practice which is initiated by establishing PPL c

Abstract:
The state of emergency caused by the covid-19 pandemic has shown that teaching at this time is not easy. Teachers have to make more use of distance education and students have to adapt to that. Classic face-to-face study is not possible but asymmetric communication between the teacher and his students may be replaced by greater student independence and greater student effort. Within the subject theory of probability and statistics, a questionnaire was created to find how students manage distance education. It has been found out that they use the prepared tutorial videos and online assignments

Evaluation of online teaching quality has become an important issue because many universities are turning to online classes due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In this paper, online teaching quality evaluation is considered as a linguistic multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problem. Generally, the evaluation sematic information can be symmetrically or asymmetrically distributed in linguistic term sets. Thus, an extended linguistic MAGDM framework is proposed for evaluating online teaching quality. As the main contribution, the proposed method takes into account

This research was conducted to answer the question of what competent politicians are and the relationship between the strategies they use in the public sphere with moral and religious principles. The research rests on the thesis that the competence of politicians cannot be separated from morality and religiosity. The goal is achieved through asymmetrical comparison of the teachings of Jesus with Machiavelli's political thoughts. This paper quantifies the extent to which unified teacher pay scales and differential alternatives produce opportunity costs that are asymmetric in math and verbal skills. Data from the Baccalaureate and Beyond 1997 and 2003 follow-ups are used to estimate a fully parametric, selection-corrected wage equation for nonteachers, which is then used to predict the wages that teachers would have received in a nonteaching career. The difference between actual teacher salaries and this prediction can be considered the opportunity cost of teaching. Moving up one standard deviation in math SAT score inc

Personal contacts drive COVID-19 infections. After being closed (23 March 2020) UK primary schools partially re-opened on 1 June 2020 with social distancing and new risk mitigation strategies. We conducted a structured expert elicitation of teachers to quantify primary school contact patterns and how contact rates changed upon re-opening with risk mitigation measures in place. These rates, with uncertainties, were determined using a performance-based algorithm. We report mean number of contacts per day for four cohorts within schools, with associated 90% confidence ranges. This paper describes the development and design of a novel short stress path rolling mill which is used for teaching and research. The rolling mill can implement the asymmetric rolling by the way of the adjustment of upper roll speed, and also working as conventional rolling when the roll speeds of two rolls are equal. The rolling mill can produce not only the plate and sheet, but also profiles by the roll of different grooves. The rolling mill is appropriate for the rolling of the steels and nonferrous metals.
