The transformation of the modern global monetary and financial system involves the elimination of institutional and functional contradictions existing at various levels. Some contradictions arose as a result of the asymmetric development of the global financial market (GFM). The aim of the article is to substantiate the asymmetry of the GFM development as an organic phenomenon, which, on the one hand, becomes a serious obstacle to the functioning and progressive development of the world economy, and, on the other hand, is the driving force behind this development. Multi-pass rolling was carried out on extra-low carbon steel at room temperature by imposing different ratios of asymmetry in the roll-diameters as well as by conventional mode. The aim of this study is to understand the effect of shear deformation due to the asymmetric conditions on the development of the rolling texture and the possibilities of propagating the shear deformation into the mid-thickness area of the sheet. The trends of the measured texture developments in both symmetric and asymmetric rolling indicate their dependence primarily on the stability and fraction of the Goss {110}&lt

It is well established that the two hemispheres of the human brain exhibit a certain degree of asymmetry. Postmortem studies of developing brains of pre- and postpartum infants have shown that already in this early stage of development Heschl gyrus, planum temporale and superior temporal sulcus (STS) exhibit pronounced asymmetry. Advances in acquisition and computational evaluation of high-resolution magnetic resonance images provide enhanced tools for noninvasive studies of brain asymmetry in newborns. We have examined these effects in mice homozygous for the iv gene. In animal development, how an animal builds its body has been a fundamental and central question. Spanning different fields, we have a good understanding of how animals build their body axes (anterior-posterior, dorsal-ventral) and this understanding is now a routine concept when learning about animal development. There are a number of mysteries left when considering early development, and the establishment of left-right (LR) asymmetry remains one of them. One key problem is how initial symmetry is broken early in animal development and how this translates into molecular asymmetry. Our lack of

Valley development through erosional processes typically tends to create symmetrical valleys. Over time, water cuts through the substrate to create valleys, gorges, and canyons for which the sides are the valley are evenly sloped. However, there are anomalies to this process. Asymmetrical valleys have been well-documented even in areas of uniform substrate or little tectonic uplift. One proposed explanation for the asymmetry of these valleys is differential insolation. This may lead to different microclimates from one slope to another which alter the rate and extent of erosion. Since the d

The modes of transfer considered were (1) the export of goods, (2) production abroad in a wholly owned subsidiary, and (3) licensing a foreign producer. A fixed cost wa

The article considers symmetry and its changes during ontogenesis of the training process, which explains a variety of phenomena. From the definition of the concepts of symmetry-asymmetry we can see that they cover not only space and time, but also causality and interaction, i.e. conditionally we can distinguish geometric and dynamic symmetry-asymmetry. Spatial symmetry contains in itself possibilities to provide dynamic symmetry, and vice versa.

Abstract:
This paper explores the transformative potential of intra-EU student mobility as a cornerstone for fostering social cohesion, economic resilience, and pan-European identity. By analyzing historical trajectories, policy frameworks (e.g., Erasmus+), and case studies from Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, and Eastern Europe, we argue that achieving 50% intra-EU student mobility by 2035 could counteract nationalist fragmentation, address labor shortages, and catalyze innovation. However, systemic challenges—brain drain, political resistance, linguistic tensions, and funding inequities—necessitate

In 2021–2022, the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (1 RAR), experimented to develop a ‘disrupt force’ consisting of light infantry augmented with uncrewed aerial systems and ground vehicles. This group operated ahead of other forces to report on the opposing force, but also ambushed enemy reinforcement and withdrawal routes. The disrupt force actively attacked and degraded opposing forces and their plans, isolating objectives and setting the conditions for friendly combat teams to conduct decisive manoeuvre. The aims of this experiment were twofold: to provide feedback on individual pl

This paper describes the work carried out by the Inter-American Development Bank, the IDB Lab, LACChain, Cambridge Quantum Computing (CQC), and Tecnológico de Monterrey to identify and eliminate quantum threats in blockchain networks. The advent of quantum computing threatens internet protocols and blockchain networks because they utilize non-quantum resistant cryptographic algorithms. When quantum computers become robust enough to run Shor's algorithm on a large scale, the most used asymmetric algorithms, utilized for digital signatures and message encryption, such as RSA, (EC)DSA, and (EC)DH

Two key recent events pushed forward the country’s decentralization agenda. In 2019, the Mandanas-Garcia Supreme Court (“Mandanas”) ruling increased the tax base for intergovernmental fiscal transfers in support of local governments’ autonomy and revenue-raising capacity. In 2021, Executive Order No. 138 (EO 138) laid the guidelines for effectively transitioning functions and responsibilities from the national to the local governments. Part of the directives in EO 138 is the design and review of devolution transition plans (DTPs). Given the country’s current state of devolution, uncertainty ar
