Pendahuluan: Pneumonia pada masyarakat adalah penyakit umum di seluruh dunia. Community acquired pneumonia (CAP) diakui sebagai masalah umum yang membawa morbiditas dan mortalitas yang substansial. AbstractWe report a male infant diagnosed at the age of 10 months with hyper-IgM syndrome (HIGM) in context of severe infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. <em>In order to study the clinical and laboratory features of neonatal pneumonia and to develop markers for the diagnosis and prognosis of pneumonia, 78 newborns with fetal pneumonia and 30 children with postnatal pneumonia were examined. There were 37 healthy newborns in the control group and 42 newborns with ARI in the comparison group. Clinical and laboratory data in the first 72 hours after birth served as the basis for diagnosis.
