Adiguzel, O. "Phase Transition and Functional Characteristics of Shape Memory Alloys." Thesis, Sumy State University, 2012. http://essuir.sumdu.edu.ua/handle/123456789/35059.

Abstract:
Shape-memory alloys are a new class of functional materials with a peculiar property known as shape memory effect. These alloys have an ability to recover a particular shape. The origin of this phenomenon lies in the fact that the material changes its internal crystalline structure with changing temperature. Copper based ternary alloys exhibit shape memory effect in metastable - phase field. These alloys undergo two ordered transitions on cooling, and bcc structures turn into B2(CsCl) or DO3(Fe3Al) -type ordered structures. The ordered structures martensitically undergo the non-convention

Associations between space, time, numbers and quantities have suggested that there must be a shared representational format which underlies them. One of the more prominent theories of an underlying system of representation is that of ATOM, which suggests that the there exists a generalized system of magnitude which processes these dimensions. However, there has been no study that examines whether speed is also processed within such a system. This study investigates this by seeing if a SNARC or Problem-Size effect arise in two speed estimation tests. The fundamental task for the participants in

Chemical catalysts are divided into two traditional categories: homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts. Although homogeneous (molecular) catalysts tend to have high activity and selectivity, their wide application is hampered by the difficulties in catalyst separation. In contrast, the vast majority of industrial scale catalysts are heterogeneous catalysts based on solid materials. Immobilized catalysts, combining the advantages of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, have developed into an important field in catalysis research. Abstract:
The quantum properties of matter waves, in particular quantum correlations and entanglement are an important frontier in atom optics with applications in quantum metrology and quantum information. In this thesis, we report the first observation of sub-Poissonian fluctuations in the magnetization of a spinor 87Rb condensate. The fluctuations in the magnetization are reduced up to 10 dB below the classical shot noise limit. This relative number squeezing is indicative of the predicted pair-correlations in a spinor condensate and lay the foundation for future experiments involving spin-squeezing
