Abstract:
Background: Atracurium Besylate and Cisatracurium Besylate both belong to Benzoylisoquinolium group of Non-depolarizing Muscle relaxant. In fact, Cisatracurium is the 1R-cis, 1’R-cis isomer of Atracurium. Both have distinct chemical properties regarding onset time, potency, histamine release etc. despite their structural similarity. Objectives: The research aimed to assess and compare the efficacy of 0.5mg/Kg IV Atracurium (twice the ED95) as opposed to 0.15 mg/Kg IV Cisatracurium (thrice the ED95) for intubation, focusing on intubation conditions and haemodynamic changes during general

Abstract:
Introduction: Cis-atracurium has a neuromuscular blocking capacity approximately three times that of atracurium besylate. The Effective Dose (ED) 95 of cis-atracurium is 0.04 mg/kg, while that of atracurium is 0.2 mg/kg. Cis-atracurium is preferred over atracurium due to the lack of histamine release, providing better cardiovascular stability. This study compares these two drugs in terms of haemodynamic parameters, neuromuscular blocking properties, intubating conditions, and safety profiles. Aim: To assess the efficacy of atracurium and cis-atracurium from various perspectives, including neur

Abstract Atracurium besylate is a nondepolarizing skeletal muscle relaxant first introduced in 1980. It is used during endotracheal intubation. It causes muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation. When people consider suicide, they employ drugs found in their surroundings but not usually injectable muscle relaxants, which are not widely available. Studies on their use in suicide are rarely reported worldwide. This was a case of a 34-year-old male nursing staff, working in the general surgery department's operation theater complex, who was found unconscious in bed in his room i

ABSTRACTBackgroundNeuromuscular blocking agents (NMBAs) are a crucial component of anesthesia and intensive care through the relaxation of skeletal muscles. They can lead to adverse reactions such as postoperative residual neuromuscular block. Only one agent is capable of an instant block reversal in deep block situations, but is restricted to aminosteroid agents. Among animal models, non‐human primates are an essential model for a great diversity of human disease models. The main objective of this study was to establish a model for NMBA monitoring with current available drugs before testing n
