The Garrett Turbine Engine Company/Ford Advanced Gas Turbine Program, designated AGT101, came to an end in June 1987. During this ceramic technology program, ceramic components were exposed to over 250 h of engine test. The 85-h test of the all-ceramic hot section to 1204C (2200F) was a significant accomplishment. However, this AGT101 test program also identified ceramic technology challenges that require continued development. These technology challenges are the basis for the five-year Advanced Turbine Technology Applications Project (ATTAP), which began in Aug. 1987. The objectives of this program include: (1) further development of analytical tools for ceramic component design utilizing the evolving ceramic material properties data base; (2) establishment of improved processes for fabricating advanced ceramic components; (3) development of improved procedures for testing ceramic components and test verification of design methods; and (4) evaluation of ceramic component reliability and durability in an engine environment. These activities are necessary to demonstrate that structural ceramic technology has the potential for competitive automotive engine life cycle cost and life.

Abstract:
A novel sphere attach material for BGA and CSP packages was developed that streamlines attach process and enhances the mechanical properties of the interconnect. This enabling technology is based on a multi-functional No Clean Polymer Flux (NPF) that is a drop-in replacement for water washable assembly processes or no clean tacky soldering fluxes (TSF) and offers the added benefit of providing a polymer collar at the base of the soldered joint. The residues from the NPFs are unaffected by subsequent assembly processes due to their cross-linked polymeric properties. A multi-phased design of experiments approach was used to develop, validate, and optimize the material and process parameters to increase ball shear by more than 35% when compared to commercially available No Clean TSFs as a result of the structurally supportive polymer collar. Enhanced interfacial integrity by complete wetting of the sphere to oxidized copper was confirmed. NPF technology provides a novel, economical and easily implemented solution to sphere attach applications.

No fim dos anos 1990, surgiram em diversos países sedes dos encontros das organizações internacionais manifestações de oposição à financeirização da economia e das políticas neoliberais, resultando no início de um novo movimento autodenominado altermundialista. Das marchas de protestos cada vez mais constantes nasceu o projeto do Fórum Social Mundial (2001). O altermundialismo foi apresentado por grande parte da literatura como um movimento novo, plural, não-hierárquico, transnacional, transclassista e pós-material. A proposta deste artigo é problematizar essas teses, redimensionando-as a partir da análise do caso da ATTAC (Associação pela Tributação das Transações Financeiras para o Apoio aos Cidadãos), uma das entidades mais implicadas e identificadas com o movimento. Para tanto, buscou-se aqui pensar de maneira articulada o programa político da associação; sua composição e forma de organização à luz das transformações em curso com o avanço do neoliberalismo. Sem perder de vista a importância da confluência altermundialista na legibilidade do processo de constituição e atuação da ATTAC, a análise detida do seu caso colocou em evidencia: a) a forte homogeneidade social da associação; b) a relação com estruturas organizacionais “tradicionais”, como o sindicato; c) a dinâmica interna contrastando inúmeras vezes com o discurso da horizontalidade; d) a importância da reconfiguração das relações laborais na mobilização dos seus integrantes; e) a forte base nacional da sua atuação.

Abstract:
Chip attach is the bottleneck operation in semiconductor assembly. Chip attach scheduling is in nature unrelated parallel machine scheduling considering practical issues, for example, machine-job qualification, sequence-dependant setup times, initial machine status, and engineering time. The major scheduling objective is to minimize the total weighted unsatisfied Target Production Volume in the schedule horizon. To apply Q-learning algorithm, the scheduling problem is converted into reinforcement learning problem by constructing elaborate system state representation, actions, and reward function. We select five heuristics as actions and prove the equivalence of reward function and the scheduling objective function. We also conduct experiments with industrial datasets to compare the Q-learning algorithm, five action heuristics, and Largest Weight First (LWF) heuristics used in industry. Experiment results show that Q-learning is remarkably superior to the six heuristics. Compared with LWF, Q-learning reduces three performance measures, objective function value, unsatisfied Target Production Volume index, and unsatisfied job type index, by considerable amounts of 80.92%, 52.20%, and 31.81%, respectively.

Konsep pendidikan Islam dalam pandangan Naquib al-Attas lebih cenderung menggunakan istilah ta‟dib yang artinya mengajarkan adab atau mendidik, daripada istilah-istilah lainnya. Naquib al-Attas melihat bahwa adab merupakan salah satu misi utama yang dibawa Rasulullah yang bersinggungan dengan umatnya. Dengan menggunakan term adab tersebut, berarti menghidupkan Sunnah Rasul. Naquib Al-Attas beranggapan bahwa tujuan pendidikan Islam adalah menanamkan kebajikan dalam “diri manusia” sebagai manusia dan sebagai diri individu. Tujuan akhir pendidikan Islam adalah menghasilkan manusia yang baik, yakni kehidupan materiil dan spiritualnya. BagiAl-Attas, sistem pendidikan dibagi dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu rendah, menengah dan tinggi. Dan kurikulum pendidikan Islam harus ada di dalam kandungannya dua aspek, yaitu Ilmu fardlu „ain dan Ilmu fardlu kifayah.

<p>Attar believes that some health standards and different hygienic methods should be taught to children. Although teaching the methods of healthcare and well-being is among the necessities of life, child’s understanding and intelligence should not be ignored. There is no doubt that religious give great importance to health issues and even emphasize that they should be taught to children. Dealing with appearance causes that their truth-seeking spirit is misled. Accordingly, Sufism recommends people to abandon appearance and deal with the interior. In the stages of growth, child’s mental images are related to sensory issues. He gradually understands lighting, heating and other things that are exposed to his senses and realizes their differences. Formation of mental images and attention to their differences are related to the growth and complexity of the child’s nerves and experience. Affection and kindness to children is desirable. But parents and educators should know that going to extremes in this case is harmful. Attar believes that loving the children excessively causes that he is brought up as a weak and powerless person and loses his self-confidence. So, he shows weakness in the face of problems. But if he is educated with moderation, he will act accordingly. Too much attention to children makes them timid. Treating the children with justice and fairness is one of the Divine attributes. According to Attar, parents should not discriminate between their children and should deal with them justly in all aspects just as you like to be treated with justice in all situations. In many educational books, it is said that the apparent treatment of parents with children may vary according to their age and gender and this is difference rather than discrimination. Attar states that we should act carefully and accurately. These differences should not make parents not act fairly in loving children, but they should justify the children that if they were in such a situation, they would receive the same treatment. Discrimination and injustice in the family, whether tangible or intangible, cause that children feel contempt and become alienated from their family and education.</p>
