Abstract:
The relevance of simulating the acoustic environment in computer simulators for training operators of complex military-technical systems is substantiated. The features of the human auditory analyzer and the main types of acoustic noise characteristic of the working environment of the operator of complex military-technical systems are considered. The structure of the system for simulating acoustic noise in computer simulators is described.

Abstract:
In this study, we propose a bionic auditory membrane (BAM) which realizes the wide-range frequency selectivity by non-uniform thick structure. BAM developed here is an acoustic sensor consisting of flexible bridges that vibrate by applying acoustic wave. BAM works as frequency analyzer via resonance of vibration; the eigen frequencies of bridges are changed by varying the dimensions such as the length and the thickness. To overcome difficulties in fabricating three-dimensional structures by conventional microfabrication, a novel method was developed using a grayscale lithography and a negative

This paper presents the Accessible Spectrum Analyser (ASA) developed as part of the DePic project (Design Patterns for Inclusive collaboration) at Queen Mary University of London. The ASA uses sonification to provide an accessible representation of frequency spectra to visually impaired audio engineers. The software is free and open source and is distributed as a VST plug-in under OSX and Windows. The aim of reporting this work at the ICAD 2016 conference is to solicit feedback about the design of the present tool and its more generalized counterpart, as well as to invite ideas for other possib

The 21st century has witnessed the bankruptcy of many large corporations because of the opportunistic behavior of management reflected in the financial statement. A realistic review from the board of directors to the internal management can only be carried out with genuine data, which are distributed along with the financial statements. This allows shareholders and other stakeholders to examine the company’s performance and make accurate decisions. All this control is carried out by external auditors who certify the financial statements. Although it is challenging to evaluate an auditor’s jo

Review question / Objective: Cerebral palsy (CP) is a non-progressive, persistent syndrome occurring in the brain of the fetus or infant[1]. The prevalence of CP is 0.2% worldwide, and the prevalence can increase to 20-30 times in preterm or low birth weight newborns. There are about 6 million children with CP in China, and the number is increasing at a rate of 45,000 per year. Virtual reality (VR) refers to a virtual environment that is generated by a computer and can be interacted with.VR can mobilize the visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic organs of CP, so that they can actively parti
