Medina, Diego. "Trabajos del vicio, afanes del amor vicioso par Simón de Castelblanco : édition critique et étude." Thesis, Rennes 2, 2021. http://www.theses.fr/2021REN20048.
This work proposes the first critical edition, with annotations and introductory study, of Trabajos del vicio, afanes del amor vicioso (Madrid, 1680), written, as well demonstrated, by the Augustinian friar and preacher Simon de Castelblanco. Following ecdotic procedures - in connection with two complementary disciplines such as material bibliography and textual criticism - it has been possible to clarify the history of the text and prove its true author. The phase of the recensio reveals the existence of an edition of 1680, and an issue of 1684, which presents two states of edition. The issue is the product of the commercial strategy orchestrated by the printer-publisher Lorenzo García and the bookseller Juan Fernández with the intention of overcoming the lucrative failure that the commercialization of the novel must have entailed. The critical text, accompanied by an extensive annotation apparatus, has been rigorously fixed from the digitized copy of the BDH (R-8617), after verifying the equality of the rest of the copies. Given the scarcity of philological studies on the author and the novel, the preliminary study has used different documentary sources such as bio-bibliographic sourcebooks and compendia on Augustinian friars, dealing in depth with aspects related to the biography and work of Simon de Castelblanco. Likewise, through the perspective of the reception studies and the comparative analysis with other contemporary novels, Trabajos del vicio is framed within the corpus of the ―long novelǁ of the last quarter of the 17th century, characterized by an exemplary literature of strong ascetic morality
Saleh, Nada. "Les didascalies dans la trilogie espagnole de Beaumarchais." Toulouse 2, 2003. http://www.theses.fr/2003TOU20035.
Didascalies are often considered as a marginal part of the dramatic text. The dialectics between the text and representations, in other words, between the ability of the playwright and that of the producer, has always aroused a fairly interesting polemic. Didascalies, being that part of the text that conveys the staging imagined by the author, the object of this research is to show, through the example of Beaumarchais, that these might have a primordial importance regarding the period, the requisites of theatrical life and also the authors. Their place and their scope are undeniable in the Spanish Trilogy of this great author of the XVIIIth century. They are the reflection of the conflict of precedence between the dramatist, promoter of the Society of Dramatic Authors, and the comedians or responsibles of the scenic execution before the invention of staging. The study of the historical and aesthetic context is essential to show the influences that Beaumarchais had to come under and which have led to the introduction of a genuine didascalic writing

Combined works which, in the prospect of studying mental habits, are focused on the establishment of the hierarchies and dominance within the peninsular spanish society from the later middle ages to the modern times (14th - 16th century). This strateggy of power which implies the exploitation of man by man, a state of bondage of some human beings by others, oppression, physical and mental violence, manipulation of the difference, is ousted at the different levels of the sociological and cultural microcosms and macrocosms, at the level of the human body, the family, the group society. Starting from some representative facts and texts, the analysis tries to give an account of the two antithetic and interdependent forms of the phenomenon: the elaboration in its symbolic, architectural, linguistic and juridical aspects aims to justify alienation on one hand, the behaviours and the counter language of liberation on the other. Sexism and feminism, racism and universal fraternity, totalitarism and pluralism are articulated in ther dialectic interaction. In that perspective i analyse the "libro de las donas" by eiximenis, the threatises of princely education in the lower middle ages, the juridical constitutions of eremitic franciscanism

Through this research, we intend to show how, in an epistemological point of view, Bradley's discovery of the stellar aberration phenomenon, in 1729, influenced the Fresnel's theory of waves in the XIXth century. More precisely, we show how Fresnel and the physicians who followed him, tried to built a concept of an ether in which the light could propagate itself, and the main part of the "partial dragging coefficient of ether" ; we know how important is this coefficient on the origin of the theory of relativity of Einstein. The break with Newton's theory of light, the expression of the wave's theory of light by Fresnel, then the second break with the Huygens's model of ether to conceive a new concept of ether that can fit with this theory, give us the occasion of analyse how such a theory was conceived, theory which bases were taken from optical and astronomical areas. At last, the analysis of Sstokes' works, on which many points can be contested, allow us to show this important perspective : the dissociation between the fondamental theorical result which is the. .
Malochet-Turquety, Hélène. "La représentation de l’espace géographique dans les Métamorphoses d’Ovide." Thesis, Paris 10, 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016PA100157.
Ovid’s Metamorphoses are written in an age of profound change. Not only does power evoluate in the hands of the Princeps, but also space: the new management of the provinciae and the reorganization of the City make it possible to conceive the geographical space of Empire as united. The poem echoes these transformations by introducing heroes who travel all over the world. The wide range of places and countries seems to match with the enormous temporal scope announced in the poem. The poem can be seen as an epos on space : space is progressively dominated, from the beginning of humanity to the reign of Rome. In each myth, Ovid selects the places, the rivers, mountains or cities he needs, abiding by mythical traditions and cultural representations : toponyms are borrowed from Homer or the Alexandrian poets ; but simultaneously he revitalizes them : he constructs his vision of geographical space and spatial organization. As early as the first cosmogony, he introduces toponyms which had been known only very recently in latin, thus opening his poem to universal geography and history. By transposing Greek myth in Roman space, the poet deals with cultural identity, in a time when Roman culture was undergoing a metamorphosis. He insists on the Greek roots of Roman culture and simultaneously projects it on a wider, universal scale. Places have a history, progressively revealed in each book. By setting myths in a web where each place has its own significance but also is better understood when related to the other, he constructs a space which is both natural and cultural, and a history of humanity and of Greco-Roman identity
