AbstractUnivision, historically the number one Spanish network, departed from its long tradition of safeguarding neutral Spanish to embrace not only English, but also Spanglish and Spanish-Caribbean accents in 2015. This article explores Univision’s new linguistic flexibility via two emblematic reality TV shows: Nuestra Belleza Latina (2007–) and La Banda (2015–). Through a textual analysis of these shows and industrial analysis of the strategies deployed by the network, the authors argue that Univision’s targeting of “billennials”—bicultural and bilingual millennials—prompted a linguistic flexibility that challenges the traditional lineup of neutral, Spanish-only, television, and is more inclusive of Latina/o audiences’ language use.

This article is dedicated to the expression of the main concepts of the historic issue “The Black Legend” in the modern public Spanish language on the material of the publications of two authors, J. Marias and J. Cercas, in the Sunday supplement to the newspaper “El País”. It deals the historically marked notion artificially introduced into the circulation during the next two centuries by the countries-enemies of Spain on the political stage and it influenced the attitude of the other countries and even the population of Spain itself to their Motherland and to themselves. Being the historical issue it was spread by the mean of written word o by published pamphlets and its influence can still be noticed even in the modern qualified press.“The resonances” of those remote ideas impregnate the opinion-based journalism of the famous Spanish writers, persons with the high level of education and culture, with great number of literary awards and dozens of novels, whose thoughts are respected by the great number of readers.Among the main columns of “The Black Legend”there are four key positions: anti-propaganda of political, economic and religious spheres of Spanish society’s life; attributing to the main figures of Spanish history only negative features like imperfections, failures which turned to refer to the whole Spanish society; discreditation of the intellectual part of the country and, themost painful, its support and approval by other European intellectuals of that time like Voltaire or Montesquieu. Even nowadays there are numerous investigations and publications by foreign authors that echo the old “The Black Legend” trying to depreciate or minimize the role of Spanish power in the world history.

The article reflects the views of Spanish writers and poets who are fans of bullfighting. The authors spoke about the importance of bullfighting in Spanish culture and literature. The works written about bullfighting are investigated. The article especially deals with the concepts of “bull” and “bullfighter” from the lexical units of bullfighting, widely used in Spanish literature. Based on examples from the authors, the place of the concepts of “bull” and “bullfighter” in Spanish thought is explored. In the works, the bull is metaphorically described as “wild”, “strong”, “dangerous”, “quick”, “brave”. The characteristics of the bullfighters, such as “proud”, “handsome”, “brave”, “winner”, “professional person who earns good money", “famous” in Spanish thought, are also successfully reflected in the works of Spanish authors. Abstract:
The subject of the study is the stylistic functions of Spanish adverbs with the suffix -mente in modern Spanish based on the analysis of corpus contexts of works of Spanish prose of the XXI century. The analysis of functional features was based on the theoretical positions of the authors of domestic and foreign grammars of the Spanish language, works on linguistics. Adverbs with the formant - mente are grammatically multifunctional elements that are polysemantic lexical units that have the ability to acquire additional connotations in collocations with other parts of speech. Stylistic possibilities of adverbial units help to solve such author's tasks as assessment, characterization of characters, achievement of expressiveness of the text and imagery of the narrative. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time examples from the corpus of the Spanish language of the XXI century were analyzed, the names of the authors of which are well known to the Russian-speaking reader (Carlos Ruiz Safon), or practically unknown at all (Anton Castro, Diego Torron). The result of the study was the conclusion that the formant -mente has not lost its productivity at the current stage of language development and is a characteristic feature of the artistic style of the modern Spanish language. The findings have both scientific significance for theoretical research in the field of morphology of the Spanish language, and practical value for translators of Spanish prose.

Abstract:
Spanish physicians have made important contributions to the nosology of headaches by describing various syndromes. In 1954, Eduardo Tolosa Colomer published the first case of Tolosa-Hunt syndrome, a clinical picture characterized by orbital pain and paralysis of extraocular muscles due to the presence of granulomatous inflammation in the cavernous sinus. In 1980, José Félix Martí Massó described pseudomigraine with cerebrospinal fluid pleocytosis, which manifests with episodes of migraine-type headache, transient neurological deficits, and elevated lymphocytes in the cerebrospinal fluid, usually with a benign prognosis. Since 2002, Juan Pareja and his group have identified several entities including: nummular headache, characterized by pain localized in a small coin-shaped area of the skull; primary trochlear headache, originating in the trochlea, in the superointernal angle of the orbit; epicrania fugax, which manifests with episodes of paroxysmal pain radiating along the surface of the head, following a linear or zigzag trajectory, and idiopathic ophthalmodynia and rhinalgia, which present with pain in the eyeball or nose with no apparent cause. Juan Pareja has also described several trigeminal terminal branch neuralgias, which are characterized by pain limited to the corresponding cutaneous territory and which typically respond to anesthetic blockade of the nerve. Finally, paroxysmal pressing headache, described by the same author, is manifested by brief episodes of unilateral pressing pain without accompanying symptoms. All these descriptions have been documented in scientific publications, and most of them have had a significant impact on clinical practice.

Abstract:
This article deals with the Spanish analytic columns written by prominent modern writers J. Marías y J. Cercas for the Sunday supplement of Spanish national quality paper «El País» and one of its main strategies which can be defined as negative focus or a negative frame for presenting their articles. The aim of our investigation was to confirm our hypothesis by analyzing a significant corpus of publications (since 2010 till now) that the negative markedness turns to be a distinctive sigh of this type of analytical writings mostly due to relevant position of its authors in the Spanish literature world and its huge experience as journalists. Being determined by the actual social totally extralinguistic conditions, the preliminary negative evaluation influences on the author election of all language levels means such as lexical, syntactical, first of all, and by combining them in order to increase the pragmatic value of the publication. The author´s idea is expressed by integrating all possible means to transmit the main strategy which intention is to attract the readers´ attention to that particular part of the Spanish reality, to make him/her get interested and involved in the information and, if possible, to influence on his/her attitude to it by the unique interpretation methods used by Marías y Cercas. The negative evaluativity of author column detected even at first glance on semantic level is able to transform into powerful pragmatic tool. The examined material has widely proved that negative evaluative perspective of columns reveals the author´s intention to touch the reader and reach the efficiency by appealing to his emotions and evaluating criteria.

Bibliomigration from Periphery to Semi-Periphery. About Contemporary Spanish Caribbean Literature in Swedish Translation The aim of this article is threefold: firstly to describe the bibliomigration patterns of contemporary Spanish Caribbean literature to Sweden, secondly to test the Double Consecration Hypothesis, and thirdly to discuss the importance of translation in relation to World Literature. The material studied consists of 25 novels written by 15 Spanish Caribbean authors from Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic translated into Swedish during the period 1990–2015. The consecration processes of the involved cosmopolitan intermediaries in the study are reconstructed in order to map out the bibliomigration. It was brought to light that the Spanish literary consecration culture is pluri-centric and the Anglo-American duo-centric, which ultimately affects the bibliomigration patterns to Sweden. Three patterns were discovered: One for Spanish Caribbean authors who write in Spanish, one for Spanish Caribbean authors writing in English and one for literature written in Spanish, published in Spanish in Sweden and then translated into Swedish. In the first case nine out of the novels verified the Double Consecration Hypothesis. Hence it seems that Spanish Caribbean literature written in Spanish has to be consecrated primarily within the Spanish colonial and postcolonial literary centers and then within the American and British consecration centers in order to be selected for translation into Swedish. In the second case ten out of the 25 Spanish Caribbeannovels were written in English, and thus not in need for double consecration to reach Sweden. In the last pattern consecration is local rather than cosmopolitan. The three patterns discovered can be described as three different forms of vernacularizing translation.

This paper seeks to explain how and why people join social movements. In a study of the Occupy movement, the authors set out to demonstrate that participation is a function of emotional attachments between participants – attachment through shared emotions regarding the loss of trust in traditional institutions and belief in efficacy of alternative, open, institutions. Using the concept of second-order emotions, the authors argue that the movement through horizontal democracy helps to regulate emotions through recognition of those emotions. The researchers argue that, in addition to a distrust of traditional institutions, social rituals in the Occupy movement serve to fortify collective emotions and create strong bonds between participants.

The literary canon has been traditionally governed by men and it is important to make the works of women visible in order to make the canon democratic. The Spanish Golden Age is blossoming period and there are well known male authors like Lope de Vega, but rarely do authors like Catalina Ramírez de Guzmán or Leonor de la Cueva Silva come to the mind of someone thinking about the Spanish Golden Age. Translation may play a key role to provide female authors with visibility in other languages. The main objective of this study is to translate three poems which were written in the Spanish Golden Age into English to provide them with more visibility. As a conclusion, it is important to promote the translation of literary works written by female authors because they have been historically silenced, and it is through translation that they can be made visible.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of metaphor as a basic constant of Spanish fictional discourse. The article deals with the peculiarities of the functioning of the Spanish fictional discourse, due to the specifics of historical development and the peculiarities of geographical location. The relevance of the study is due to the importance of considering the national and cultural specifics. Special attention is paid to the formation of the national picture of the world. The overview of the concepts of “picture of the world”, “ fictional discourse”, “metaphor” is given. The subject of the study is the texts of modern Spanish-language authors as J.J. Millas, Antonio Pometa, Pepa Merlo, Sara Mesa, Javier Mesa, Berta Marce. The above-mentioned authors actively use metaphor in their works, emphasizing a number of moments from the life of their characters, the peculiarities of their worldview, revealing a new implicit meaning inherent in the texts. The author of the article shows that metaphors become a basic constant of the Spanish fictional discourse, because of Spanish culture, being by its nature a culture of the hidden type, strives at all times of its existence to create works with a hidden meaning that require decoding and interpretation on the part of the reader. The Spanish authors create riddle texts with different readings and answers to the questions posed. The active use of metaphors determines the careful selection of vocabulary, showing the peculiarities of the national and cultural consciousness of the Spanish nation, which is prone to increased expressiveness of fictional discourse. The metaphor becomes not just a trope in the literary text, but the model that connects together different levels of the text space, being a semantic reflection of the model and picture of the world of Spanish authors.

Abstract:
The mirlitonnades are short poems written by Samuel Beckett between 1976 and 1978. These minimalistic pieces reflect the poetic idiosyncrasies in his literary career and also in his personal life. Although Spanish literary culture has not been significantly affected by the work of Samuel Beckett —with some notable exceptions— it is surprising that the mirlitonnades have been translated five times into Spanish. In this study, I will focus on three of those versions —Loreto Casado (1998), Jenaro Talens (2000) and José Luis Reina Palazón (2014)— with the objective of identifying common sources of interest for these translators in Beckett's poems. Attention will also be paid to the main points of convergence among the different versions, as well as their dissimilarities. In addition, the predominant methods that they adopted in translating the mirlitonnades will be examined. The study of their lexical choices will ultimately reveal different approaches to Beckett’s work, as well as the various images of Beckett as a poet that Spanish readers might have acquired through each of these versions.

Teaching tools are the required component of the teaching foreign languages and cultures system in high educational institutions. The authors of this article offer to complete the current typology of teaching foreign language and culture tools with the help of two more groups. The lexical competence that is one of the components of foreign language communicative competence still remains the target to develop at various levels of foreign language learning. The authors of this article perform an analytical review of modern tools that can form lexical competence for prospective Spanish teachers, mainly at the stage of introducing new lexical units to students. This article presents the translations of Spanish and Latin American authors into Lithuanian during the 50 years of Soviet occupation (1940–1990). The purpose of this research is to explore the legacy of these translations within the context of preventive censorship practiced in the Soviet Union. Preventive censorship involves selectively filtering books and authors for inclusion or exclusion from publication due to ideological or political considerations (cf. Leonardi 2008). The article addresses three main questions: (1) What was the volume of Spanish-language literature in the overall corpus of translations in Soviet Lithuania? (2) Which Spanish-language authors were accessible to Lithuanian readers during the period under consideration? And (3) What factors might have influenced their selection for publication in Lithuanian translation? An attempt is made to describe the corpus of translations from Spanish into Lithuanian, with a particular focus on the selection criteria to be met for inclusion of these literary works in the Soviet canon of foreign literature.

PurposeThis paper examines the level of sustainability disclosures provided by Spanish hospitals using exclusively the information revealed in their institutional websites. Based on different levels of disclosure, the authors try to find the possible reasons why some Spanish hospitals reveal more sustainability information than others.Design/methodology/approachTo achieve this goal, the authors conducted a content analysis of the official websites of all Spanish hospitals identified by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.FindingsThe results reveal that Spanish hospitals seem to use sustainability disclosures for different legitimizing purposes. In general, the results indicate that Spanish hospitals may be driven by symbolic rather than substantive actions to achieve legitimacy from stakeholders.Originality/valueDue to the lack of empirical research on the hospital sector, more research is required to improve understanding of why hospitals disclose sustainability information or not.

Introduction. The need to include authentic works of fiction in the foreign language teaching process is obvious, but the selection of texts of the appropriate level at the elementary and intermediate stages of Spanish teaching remains a challenge. Since this phenomenon has not been sufficiently explored, the aim of this article is to present a list of unabridged short stories that correspond to the intermediate level (B1 PCIC) and the results of the study on the benefits of using these stories as a means of stimulating communication skills in the Spanish class. Materials and Methods. To study the problem, a Likert scale questionnaire, oral interviews, and a check of the final work were carried out. The study involved 54 students from three Russian universities and one school where Spanish and English are studied in depth. The collected data were processed by methods of mathematical statistics in Microsoft Office Excel. For the study, 36 short stories by contemporary Hispanic authors were selected and pre and post-reading questions were developed to introduce the topic and stimulate oral speech. Results. Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that the selected stories correspond to the B1 level of the Cervantes Instituteʼs curriculum, and the topics presented in the stories stimulate communication in the class, pushing the fear of making a mistake into the background. Many Spanish teachers introduce unabridged fiction starting at B2 level. This experiment demonstrates the successful use of short stories at an intermediate level of language proficiency. Discussion and Conclusion. The results of the study contribute to the development and improvement of the methodology of teaching Spanish with the use of authentic fiction texts. The materials of the article will be useful for practicing teachers and methodologists of the Spanish language.

Research communities thus emerge as a result of the communication between authors who cite other relevant papers. This study focuses on the relationships between Spanish and English research communities in the specific field of Educational Technology. We explore as hypotheses whether there are signs of scientific journal communication between authors in these two communities, and if the English authors reciprocate citations by Spanish authors. In order to verify them, a social network analysis was conducted by considering outgoing and incoming citations in eight open access journals (four in English and four in Spanish) published over ten years (2007-2016). The sample includes 3,407 articles, which were analysed using UCINET and Gephi software. The results show partial confirmation of the hypotheses, since two separate research communities were recognized, with almost no communication between them. However, the Spanish community was presented as more connected than the English one. We interpret these results by considering not only language factors, but also the journal roots and the particular subject field under consideration. Finally, we highlight some general recommendations to enhance future communication between these two education research communities.

This essay examines the early reception of Scheler’s anthropological thought in Spain. The article traces the two main ways of reception of Scheler’s work in the School of Madrid and the School of Barcelona. I argue that, on the one hand, the Spanish translations of the works of the early phenomenologists – Scheler was a central figure among them – contributed to the diffusion of Scheler’s thought; and that, on the other hand, the Spanish authors subjected Scheler’s thought to a critical assimilation and further developments. Scheler influenced the Spanish philosophy of the human affectivity, in which the capacity to feel, the values and love as a kernel of the human being occupy an exceptional position. This reception shows the originality of Spanish authors that incorporate Scheler’s ideas to their anthropological interest and develop these ideas in the direction of their own phenomenological anthropology.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to simulate the potential costs and benefits for Spanish firms providing dual apprenticeship training. Design/methodology/approach The paper conducts simulations of ten training occupations in six different industries in Spain. For these simulations, the authors combined Spanish wage data and the existing training curriculum regarding instruction times in vocational school in Spain with data from Swiss firms offering training in similar occupations. These data contain information regarding the amount of workplace training, relative apprentice productivity, and the relative importance of non-wage training costs (such as training equipment). Findings The authors found that training occupation, training scenario, and firm size are important determinants of the authors’ simulations for the expected net costs of apprenticeship training in Spanish firms. Consequently, the break-even level of apprentices’ wages differs significantly by training occupation and training scenario, suggesting that one prescribed apprentice wage for all sectors and occupations would be detrimental to the willingness of many firms to provide training places. Practical implications Dual apprenticeship training may improve the labor market transition for Spanish youth. The paper provides guidelines for regulatory frameworks that allow firms to provide apprenticeship training without having to bear net training costs – an important condition given that apprentices are free to leave the training firm upon graduation. Social implications The authors’ simulations show that Spanish firms would be able to provide high-quality apprenticeship training programs that would also appeal to more talented youth because of the combination of a decent earning opportunity during the apprenticeship and good future career options. Originality/value This paper provides novel and direct empirical evidence regarding the framework conditions within the Spanish apprenticeship system, thus incentivizing both firms and individuals to participate in dual apprenticeship training programs.

By complete, the authors mean variables for the full sample of the 8,116 municipalities as of the census reference date. In addition, the database should be consistent with the public census information released by the National Statistical Institute: microdata and customized tables. Design/methodology/approach The authors use mainly small area demographic and synthetic estimators that are reconciled using biproportional adjustment (iterative proportional fitting), when needed. Findings As a result, the authors obtain a complete and consistent municipal database composing 55 variables related to socio-demographic characteristics of persons. To date, region-based scholarship into Hispanophone literary self-translation overwhelmingly locates practices in spaces where Spanish not only has official language status but is also the dominant language. Yet, in officially bilingual (English-French) Canada, at least 25 people translated their own writing into or out of Spanish between 1971 and 2016, making these writers the single largest subset of Canada-based self-translators working with an unofficial language. But who are these authors? What might be said about their self-translations? And what does it mean to self-translate using Spanish when that language does not have official status? Adopting a product-oriented perspective, I explore these questions via three lines of enquiry: 1) time and space: when and where were these writers born? 2) frequency: how often do these authors self-translate? and 3) language: how can self-translations and self-translators be characterized in terms of language variety and combinations? Ultimately, I argue that, in the context of Canadian self-translation, the Spanish language is simultaneously imposing—pushing resolutely against paradigms of two-ness embodied by official bilingualism—and imposed upon, since it lacks official status of its own and the infrastructural robustness that accompanies it.

This article conducts the analysis of legal regulation of relations between the Kingdom of Spain and the Russian Federation with regards to adoption of Russian children by Spanish citizens. The authors examine the history of development of bilateral Russian-Spanish cooperation; legal normative base, and procedure for the adoption of Russian orphans in the Russian and Spanish legislation. Statistical data is provided on the trends in adoption of Russian orphans by citizens of the Kingdom of Spain. The article employs the following methods of scientific research: historical, comparative-legal, statistical, and systemic analysis. The relevance of the selected topic is substantiated by the fact the for many years Spain demonstrates consistent interest in this question, ranking second among other countries that adopt children from the Russian Federation. At the same time, the legal and bureaucratic framework for realization of Russian-Spanish cooperation in this field requires improvements. The authors conclude that although the number of adopted Russian orphans by Spanish citizens has dropped in recent years, it is necessary to continue cooperation in this field by improving the existing legislation.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine how different variables can affect the amount of information reported by Spanish enterprises owned by the central state as well as by local and regional governments, all categorized as state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Design/methodology/approach Using, as a reference, the obligations of information disclosure contained in the Spanish Law 19/2013 on Transparency and Good Governance, the authors performed a web-content analysis of web pages of all Spanish SOEs and the authors examined a sample of Spanish enterprises owned by regional and local governments. Findings The results show that the amount of information reported by Spanish SOEs is quite reduced and limited. Among the variables examined, the most influential ones for explaining the amount of information reported are the nature of public ownership and the institutional size. Originality/value This study contributes to the literature by exploring the potential determinants of the online disclosure of mandatory information reported by enterprises whose ownership is shared by private and public organizations. Thus, this research could help public managers make decisions and improve public confidence.

Summary During the 19th century the old palatal l of French (in, e.g., travailler, travail, fille) definitively gave way to /j/. During about the same period Spanish underwent a similar evolution, but the process of substitution of /j/ for /ʎ/ found itself in a less advanced stage than in French; indeed, certain varieties of present-day Spanish still maintain these two phonemes. Taking all the works together which during the 19th and the first half of the 20th century were addressed to the teaching of French to speakers of Spanish, the author concentrates his attention on the difficulties that the authors encountered when presenting this dying or already deceased phoneme (namely, the palatal l of French) to an audience which, although it still possessed this phoneme in their own language, had begun to find it difficult to distinguish the diverse phonetic realizations that the Spanish /j/ was acquiring. As is shown in this study, the time difference in the evolution of this phenomenon of dephonologization in French and, with some delay, also in Spanish led the authors of these textbooks to misunderstandings and errors in the treatment of the disappearing or vanished former palatal l of French.

For the last four years I have been conducting a survey of Russians who do not speak Spanish. 155 people were interviewed. The main question was: «What Spanish writers do you know?» The answers confirmed my initial hypothesis: the readers confuse Spanish literature with the literature written in Spanish. Along with the answer «no one» (54 respondents), people named Cervantes (65), García Lorca (33), Lope de Vega (25), Pérez Reverte (11) and other Spanish authors, as well as García Márquez (47), Borges (13), Cortázar (9), Coelho (6) and other foreigners. That is the specificity of the perception of Spanish literature in Russia, its difference from the image of other literatures. In the case of Russia and Spain, the border of cultural communication almost exactly coincides with the language border.

Abstract Religion and Law in the Early Modern history. The devaluation of the canon law by Protestant Reformers promoted the system-oriented presentations of law based on Roman law. Also in ius publicum there is a significant majority of Protestant authors. The situation differs from natural law and law of nations where the discourse of the 16th century was broadly determined by Catholic authors, specifically by the so called Spanish late scholasticism. In the Spanish empire fundamental works on natural law and law of nations were created. This came to an end in consequence of a „re-theologisation“ of the judicial discourse in the Jesuit led Tridentine Counter- Reformation. During the 17th century - starting with Hugo Grotius (1625) - we see primarily Protestant authors in the field.

The authors of this article aimed to point out the differences in lexis and grammatical constructions between the varieties of Spanish spoken in Spain and Latin American countries. In order to obtain the most authoritative material the authors used the answers of respondents from six countries: Argentina, Chile, Spain, Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela. They made this choice because of the mentioned countries’ geographical location as well as the anticipated influence of other languages due to migration processes. This allowed the authors to show a lot of variety in the respondents’ choice of specific words and sentence constructions. The article also discusses the voseo phenomenon, the rioplatense dialect, and phonetic differences between them. They demonstrated the lexical, grammatical, and sociolinguistic differences between the varieties of Spanish.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of political connections in the value of companies listed on the Spanish stock market. Design/methodology/approach The authors study two issues on this topic: the impact on the company value of the appointment as director of an ex-politician through an event study; and the long run stock market performance of companies with political connections. The authors employ a sample of listed firms in the Spanish stock market for which the authors collected data about their political connections. The authors perform the study during a wide period (1996-2011), comprising four legislatures. Findings The results show that from the market perspective the value ex-politicians bring to the company outweigh their costs, especially in times of crisis or economic recession. Originality/value Given the concern of regulators and legislators to increase transparency and good governance of companies, this paper shed light on the role that politicians play on the company boards and and their contribution to their value.

The creation of Spanish language corpora is becoming one of the priorities of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language (RAE) in the 21st century. The work on the compilation of Spanish language corpora is a response to the challenges of the modern era of globalization and is based on new computer technologies. Corpora in linguistics are used for language research and are a tool for generalizing data about a language that have a versatile nature, starting with the frequency of use of word forms and ending with the training of artificial intelligence. The purpose of this article is to show how the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language (RAE), using new approaches in the field of corpus linguistics, expands the areas of its traditional activities, spreading the Spanish language in the digital sphere of human activity. The novelty of this study is that all the main Spanish language corpora created by the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language and the Association of Academies of the Spanish Language are analyzed from the point of view of the cultural vector of development of the Spanish-speaking civilization. The authors determine the importance of creating corpora as a way of developing this language culture in the future, which implies the need to use corpora for teaching artificial intelligence. Raising the topic of the importance of the digitalization of language for communication between machines and humans, the authors consider the compilation of corpora to be a necessary basis for launching this process. The article, on the one hand, analyzes the currently existing academic corpora, on the other, describes the possibilities of using corpora for language research and for teaching artificial intelligence, and as a result summarizes the importance of corpora in the digital age.

It is possible to identify a public approach to theology in some contemporary Spanish theologians, although the term itself is foreign in Spanish theological circles. The theological reflections of Alfonso Álvarez Bolado and Olegario González de Cardedal are a great example in this sense. The former sheds a theological view on Franco’s dictatorship to criticize its supposedly religious legitimation. The latter is an attempt to clarify the confusion between Spanish citizenship and Catholicism in the young Spanish democracy. The work of these two authors also helps us identify the main traits of the Spanish context that will shape the future of public theology in this country. Any future effort for developing a public theology in Spain necessarily should be done based on this previous tradition.

Abstract:
Statement of a problem. The objective of the study is a phased analysis of the formal features of a poetic text using a psycholinguistic approach. The poetic text is considered as a special form of emotionally colored speech. The main goal is to determine the universal and nationally specific features in the metro - rhythmic organization of Spanish and Russian poetic texts. Results: The data on the metro - rhythmic organization of Spanish and Russian poetic texts is presented. Based on the classical meters of Greek and Roman poetry, the ways of the formation of national poetic Russian and Spanish traditions are additionally considered. Along with universal features, national-specific features are highlighted. Approaches to the consideration of poetic meters used in Spanish poetic texts, as well as the transition to syllabo-tonic in Russian versification are described. Conclusion. The main conclusion from the presented study can be considered the identification of nationally specific features, consisting of the use of classical meters in certain poetic genres and the formation of mixed genres. As a linguistically significant conclusion about the preference in the use of meters, the authors put forward the ratio of speech rhythm to the meter in national poetry.

Abstract:
The aim of this work is to examine the pentafactorial validity of the AF5 Self-Concept Questionnaire in Spanish and Chilean young adults. From the responses of a total of 4,383 young adults aged 17 to 22 years (1,918 Spanish, 44%, and 2,465 Chilean, 56%) it was analyzed the reliability of the instrument, the compared validity of the 5 oblique factor model proposed by the authors versus the unifactorial and the orthogonal alternative models, and was studied the invariance of one Chilean sample. The results of confirmatory factor analyses supported the authors' pentafactorial model. The multi-group factorial invariance showed that Chilean sample of the AF5 does not change neither the Spanish factor weights, nor the variances and covariances of the factors, or the error variances of items. Finally, the internal consistency of the five scales was good in the samples of both countries.
