Access to quality education is now a huge challenge in Thailand with ever-increasing inequality between rural and urban populations. Existing teaching and learning facilities are no longer adequate. Mobile learning has been suggested as a sustainable and appropriate delivery mechanism to reduce this rural/urban education gap. Students are supplied with their own mobile device at no cost to learners or their families. Opportunities offered through mobile learning to auto mechanic education in Thailand were explored. The frequent discharge of used petroleum products from automobiles has become a major source of concern due to unguided discharge into the soil environment, hence the need for biodegradation of the products. Bacterial species were isolated from contaminated soil in mechanic workshops and screened for their for hydrocarbon degradation potentials using standard microbiological procedures. Physicochemical properties of the contaminated soil were also analysed using standard techniques. The highest and lowest heterotrophic bacterial counts of 2.82 ± 0.16 ×108 and 2.09 ± 0.32 ×108 cfu/g were from t

The ability of microorganisms to utilize used oil in contaminated soil from some selected major mechanic workshops in Ado Ekiti metropolis as a sole source of carbon and energy was studied. Soil samples collected from the two major mechanic workshops at Adebayo, and Irona Quarters in Ado-Ekiti were analyzed for the microbiological and physicochemical qualities using the basic microbiological methods. The physicochemical properties of the soil samples shows that the value of pH range from 5.45 to pH 5.58, percentage of carbon range from 3.98 % to 4.20%, nitrogen content varies from 2.20 to 2.40

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are illnesses that make working people disabled and generate significant economic loss worldwide. Automobile mechanics are at risk of injury at the onset of MSDs due to repetitive tasks, uncomfortable posture, and heavy lifting of objects. The frequency and pattern of work-related musculoskeletal disorders among auto mechanics in Panteka Village, Kaduna State, are investigated in this study. Using a version of the standard Nordic Musculoskeletal questionnaire, a quatitative method was used to gather data on the prevalence pattern of musculoskeletal illnesses at

One cannot overlook the possible hazards that can be created as a result of a long-term increase in heavy metal concentration in the soil. A residence time of about 1000 – 3000 years has been estimated for the heavy metals such as Ni, Pb, Mn, and Fe, in temperate zone.
