Abstract:
In this research, a computer-aided drawing system of spur gear was developed. An auto LISP programming language embedded within the AutoCAD design package was used to develop a new program to create a 3D model of a spur gear in two main stages. In the first stage, the developed program of spur gear allows automatic 2D spur gear drawing generation using the technique that depends on the half tooth thickness at the pitch diameter. In the second stage, inner profiles of a 2D spur gear views are used to create a 3D model of a spur gear. The developed program helpful for the user in drawing the spur gear modelling, due to less work and time to be spent when compared with the conventional approach, and it also improves a high degree of accuracy of spur gear modelling. The spur gear resulting from the prepared gear drawing system can also work with other popular CAD software.

Abstract:
It is urgently necessary to develop practical programs for different purposes in the field of wastewater treatment. Now the design programs for grit chambers, anaerobic ponds, facultative ponds, aerobic ponds, aerated ponds and polishing ponds are being developed. Programs for automated plotting and man-machine interactive plotting are needed too. By using AutoCAD (Version 9.03 or 10.0), a secondary development of the softwares for engineering drawing of stabilization pond has been developed, which possesses the function of writing out explanatory notes. A program for writing out explanatory notes in Chinese is also being developed. In the process of developing such softwares, high-level language AutoLISP is used, so that the softwares possess artificial intelligence. Up to now the graphic softwares for plotting the general plan drawings and elevation drawings of grit chamber, various ponds, and pond systems have been developed.

Abstract:
This workpiece process is: to find out how to transfer images from Auto CAD software to the Q plus CELL Milling Cnc software, and to find out how to transfer programs from the CNC Milling QELL KELLER software to the TU 3A CNC milling machine. The making of this workpiece uses three main media, namely Auto CAD 2000 software, CNC Milling KELLER Q plus software, and TU 3A CNC milling machine. The process of making the workpiece starts from making the workpiece design in Auto CAD software which is then stored on the CDR via DFX data. The design of the workpiece contained in the CDR is then transferred to CNC Millling KELLER Q plus software via Geometry. in Geometry, the design of the workpiece is dimensioned. Completed from the Geometry the workpiece design is included in the Work plan to be processed so that it can be simulated to move to a CNC program to convert the graphical language into a numeric language so that it can be read by a CNC machine. The programming results from the CNC KELLER Q plus software are then recorded to be executed on the CNC TU 3A milling machine to obtain the workpiece in accordance with the design in AutoCAD. Programming results from CNC Milling KELLER Q plus software cannot be directly used on the TU 3A milling machine (EMCO), because the programming language used is different. Programming language in CNC Milling KELLER Q plus software uses the DIN 66025 standard, while the CNC TU 3A (EMCO) milling machine uses ISO standards, so it needs to be converted first.

Abstract:
Development of a model of warm and stylish women's stockings with a jacquard pattern, suitable for mass production. Methodology. To achieve this goal, a review of patent and technical іnformation on the manufacture of hosiery with jacquard patterns was realized. Autodesk AutoCAD software is used to increase the effi ciency of product design. Findings. The study developed a collection of women's stockings with animal ornaments and patterns for making the same. A pattern simulating the color of a zebra's fur was chosen for experimental production.A two-color double bed jacquard stockings collection is designed. The production of this knit does not involve the knitting density changes. Correspondence of the stocking surface geometry to the measurements of a person’s leg can be provided by increasing or decreasing working needles. The latter cannot be realized on specialized circular knitting equipment for hosiery production. The models of the collection can be made on fl at knitting machines accord ing to the patterns. An experimental model is made of half-woolen yarn on a semi-industrial fl at knitting machine Brother KH-965i. The linker Hague D280E has been used for the stocking’s parts sewing. A parametric pattern of the unfolded product in Autodesk AutoCAD has been created. To adjust the pattern to the desired size, a customer has to enter the measurements and the boundary will be redrawn automatically. An application in the Autolisp programming language has been developed to automatically calculate the knitting program (increase and decrease the number of working needles). Entering course and wale spacing values of the sample structure in the program allows the automatically calculating the required number of working needles in each part of the product.Practical value. The technology of making women’s hosiery with design patterns on the basis of double jacquard knits on fl at-bed knitting machines has been develope d. Such products can be made both on modern fl at knitting machines with computer control, such as, for example, automated equipment of the Stoll or Shima Seiki brands and on semi-industrial knitting machines, such as Brother, Selver Red and others.

Abstract:
In speaking of modern higher education, we mean an educational system that allows young specialists to fit into the labour market. Such specialists need to be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills not only to perform work on the project, but also to attack the problem creatively. The task of higher school is to provide the necessary set of knowledge and skills that will allow young specialists to work successfully and to be on the march. The language of communication of engineers is drawings. Computer drawings allow reducing the working time considerably in the development, production, remediation, transfer, and retention. Therefore, the ability to use drawing program for working with images is necessary. Despite all the powerful design tools and visualization, a key moment in computer design is the documentation of the product and its design in accordance with accepted standards that is considered to be an integral part of the design process. After the successful development of a 2D environment, the expert can confidently move on to 3D modeling that facilitates the receipt of drawings and models at times and gives you the opportunity to inspect the settings of the virtual model and, if necessary, to improve them significantly. Usage of different CAD-systems for communication engineers- partners is a reality. Therefore it is very useful for a specialist to be able to use different programs. Modern graphic programs (AutoCAD, SolidEdge) have many similar opportunities, but they also have some differences. Knowledge of several drawing programs is necessary and reduces the amount of time for the skills development for usage of each CAD-system is the problem of the future engineer. The article compares two different programs and the possibility of using the both CAD-systems for working with drawings.

Abstract:
In coal mining technology systems, it is very important to acquire, store, and represent basic geological data comprehensively and accurately. Based on the current working mode and information level in mining geology at coal mines, this paper proposes a process of building basic geological database for modeling of coal mines by using existing results’ data of mining geology and develops the efficient program for getting the basic geological data from the important 2D plane drawings’ achievement at mines, such as the contour maps of mine coal seam floors, geological cross-sections, underground drilling results, and geological survey results, based on AutoLISP, which is a programming language for the secondary development of AutoCAD. The obtained data in general text format is stored and managed by the MongoDB database, which realizes the storage, query, analysis, and correction of massive data of geological objects in the space of the underground coalmine. The application results show that compared with the previous data acquisition methods such as manual input and graphic transformation attribute, the extraction of spatial and attribute data from the existing mine 2D plane drawings by programming can effectively avoid the prominent problems such as artificial gross error, distortion of graph conversion, and different database structure, make the obtained spatial geological data more comprehensive, accurate, and effective, and, meanwhile, increase the rate by more than 60%, which plays an important role in data support for the construction of the geological modeling systems for transparent mines.

Thesis (M. Eng.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2009.
Cataloged from PDF version of thesis.
Includes bibliographical references (p. 63-64).
This thesis presents a new light-weight specification language called JForge Specification Language (JFSL) for object-oriented languages such as Java. The language is amenable to bounded verification analysis by a tool called JForge that interprets JFSL specifications, fully integrates with a mainstream development environment, and assists programmers in examining counter example traces and debugging specifications. JFSL attempts to address challenges of specification languages such as inheritance, frame conditions, dynamic dispatch, and method calls inside specifications in the context of bounded verification. A collection of verification tasks illustrates the expressiveness and conciseness of JForge specifications and demonstrates effectiveness of the bounded verification technique.

Abstract:
Abstract At SUNY College at Buffalo, a new course, TEC302, CAD/CAM, computer-aided-design and computer-aided-manufacturing was added to the Industrial Technology (IT) undergraduate curriculum in the fall of 1994. At that time, the technology department had been using the AutoCAD system for design/drafting, and SmartCAM for demonstrating computer-aided-manufacturing. SmartCAM is a sophisticated product that takes a great deal of training to use, does not work directly in AutoCAD, and with only four licenses, was not available to all the students. For these reasons, the author developed a CAM program, VAL-CAM, that works inside AutoCAD, and has most of the aspects of a more sophisticated CAM program, yet is simpler to use, is available to all students, and automatically generates CNC (computer-numerical-control) code suitable for driving the departments’ vertical milling machining center. This paper discusses the development of VAL-CAM, which is written in the AutoLISP language for compatibility with AutoCAD. The dialogue control language (DCL) of AutoCAD was also used for part of the user interface for VALCAM. The algorithms, flow diagrams, pseudo code and actual LISP code for some of the more interesting parts of the program are presented. VAL-CAM is under continuous development, and later sections of the program will be discussed in future papers.

Abstract:
Abstract The geometric characteristics of three well-known movable octahedral 6R mechanisms are described and then, by matrix algebra method, we derive their general displacement closed-form solutions for further investigation and analysis. Based on the fundamentals of three dimensional analytical coordinate geometry, a systematic approach is offered to generate the configuration of movable octahedral 6R mechanism with the help of computer graphics. In addition, a user-friendly computer aided program implementing the process of generation synthesis can be developed in Autolisp, a Lisp language interpreter within autoCAD. The numerical results for every generation and their constrained motion are confirmed by the derived analytical solutions. The physical models of these synthesized mechanisms are also built respectively.

Abstract:
Abstract A multiple objective function optimization design of straight bevel gearing with an advanced optimization method is described. The main parameters and geometric dimensions obtained with this algorithm are made use of to make computer parametric drawing of bevel gear in accordance with gear structure and by adopting currently high-level FORAUT interface software and the U. S.-made AUTOCAD autoplotting package, thus organically combining mechanical design calculation with the drawing of graphs. The said program is applicable to the optimization design of straight bevel gearing with arbitrary shaft angles and different pressure angles (α = 14.5°, 20°, 22.5°, 25°) to obtain ideal optimization parameters or engagement parameters, geometrical parameters and strength performance parameters and plot the correspnnding part working diagram.
