This paper introduces analysis the development process of CAD technology, application of the AutoCAD software in engineering field and teaching as well as the significance of the development of two times the. This paper analyzes in detail the development of common language, and the use of Visual BASIC development and application of software based on AutoCAD. The author elaborates the software interface design and method calls AutoCAD in VB. Finally, the design and implementation of a programming language re-development system based on AutoCAD is concerned. The test results show that the developed AutoCAD two development system has good practical value.

AutoCAD is an accessorial desktop cartography software widely used in project cartography for its easy manipulation and data edit ability. GIS is a powerful tool of using computers to make dimensional with advantage of display, analysis, output and management of geographical data. The data of the two systems is not compatible and they need to be transformed for data sharing and application. This paper points out the difference of AutoCAD and GIS data, analyzes some common problems during the data transforming process and introduced the experimental study which takes example for transforming the CAD forestry map of Buyunshan country, Dalian city to ArcView geographical information system. The objective of this paper was trying to find an effective way for the transformation from CAD graphics files to geographical information system.

The smooth blasting method has been researched, developed and strongly applied for long-term underground construction, such as principal mining excavations, tunnels and hydroelectric projects... with the main purpose of minimizing the explosion impact on rock and creating a well-shaped boundary. In this research, a software was developed to establish automatically the tunnel contour blasting passport in AutoCAD. Using the software in each blast design model, it is quickly possible to determine number of blastholes, specific charge, specific drilling and drawing automatically of blasting passport in AutoCAD. The interaction between the software and AutoCAD is a new and important factor that helps to complete an automatically closed cycle on computer from introducing parameters to designing blasting passport in AutoCAD, thereby contributing to increase efficiency of production and minimize risks in blasting works.

Drawing decorative ornament is one of difficulties that have been avoided by students to draw. Therefore the purpose of this article is to give information about steps of drawing decorative element using AutoCAD for their technical drawing in interior design. The article used literature study and website of professional institutions about AutoCAD as an additional source to be explanations about pattern of each ornament. Results of using this technique in AutoCAD will minimize time consuming, and it will help students draw the Indonesian archipelago decorative ornament.

AbstractThe primary purpose of the research is to examine and validate determinants of user intention to use AutoCAD software, utilising the constructs from prior studies in a more integrated model. The paper proposes a revised Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) for measuring the adoption of AutoCAD. In the study, a latent construct PPA (perceived physical accessibility) was added to the proposed research model as a new determinant of AutoCAD adoption. An online survey of AutoCAD users was conducted to collect data. This data was empirically used to test the proposed research model. The Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) technique was used to evaluate the causal model, and the confirmatory factor analysis was performed to examine the reliability and validity of the measurement model. The study results show that user behavioural intention to use AutoCAD is significantly affected by three determinants: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and perceived physical accessibility of the software. This finding contributes to an expanded understanding of the factors that promote acceptance of AutoCAD software. Moreover, the main contribution of this study is to verify the impact of the added PPA variable on the behavioural intention to use and the actual use of AutoCAD, and also to create measurement scales for this new latent variable in TAM.

AbstractBackgroundIdentification of sex from skeletal remains is an essential step in forensic anthropology. The skull is the second choice, after the pelvis, to estimate sex by osteometric methods.ObjectiveTo evaluate the process of identification of sex in Northern Thai from crania by using computer-aided design (AutoCAD) software and conventional caliper methods.MethodsDry skulls of 86 men and 74 women were examined. AutoCAD software and digital calipers were used to measure dimensions. Eleven of the 15 parameters were created for this study.ResultsMen are significantly larger than women in all parameters, except in the nasospinale–prosthion measurement. There were no significant differences in the intraobserver error test and between the AutoCAD and digital caliper measurements. The logistic regression analysis yielded a sex classification accuracy rate of 92.9% in men, 93.4% in women, and 93.1% of overall accuracy for AutoCAD software. When using digital calipers, there was an accuracy rate of 89.3% in men, 94.7% in women, and 91.9% for overall accuracy.ConclusionsAutoCAD software is a reliable method to predict the sex and provide high accuracy in sex determination from crania.

Estimating the advantages and disadvantages of Matlab/Simulink, Visual Basic (VB) and AutoCAD software, the model of the working process of internal combustion (IC) engine was built based on Matlab/Simulink, and the drawing programs for engine structure were written with the parametric design language AutoLISP. A user-friendly VB interface of inputting parameter was established, realizing VB coupled with AutoCAD and Matlab/Simulink software. Calling the AutoLISP drawing program nested in the AutoCAD and Matlab/Simulink software via VB, integration of the simulation and analysis of the engine and the CAD drawing of its body can be achieved. Its more efficient to analyze the performance and optimize the structure parameters of engines.

Initially, the computers and software were supposed to complement the engineer’s traditional techniques, replacing the drawing board and calculator. Today, the computers with spe-cialized software almost completely replace the traditional methods. There is given an overview of the graphic editors AutoCAD Autodesk and Autodesk Inventor, possibilities of performing designs in three-dimensional space using parametric modeling. The advantages and disadvantages of each program are analyzed. An example of using AutoCAD Autodesk and Autodesk Inventor for computer visualization of a 3D object is given. To evaluate the work in both programs, 13 users were involved, who noted the ease of mastering AutoCAD Autodesk, which is important for the young engineers, as well as for the students.

Partiendo de los problemas generados por el insuficiente manejo y uso del software AutoCAD Civil 3D en el diseño de redes de alcantarillado en la provincia de Ciego de Ávila, el cual limita la productividad y calidad de los proyectos, se realizó un trabajo investigativo que propone un manual para el diseño automatizado de las redes de alcantarillado utilizando el referido software. El manual propuesto tiene como premisa fundamental el uso del AutoCAD Civil 3D para el diseño de redes de alcantarillado, lo que permite una mejor preparación técnica de los proyectistas y por consiguiente una mayor productividad y calidad en los proyectos. Para la elaboración del manual se tuvieron en cuenta las normas cubanas y regulaciones establecidas para proyectos de redes de alcantarillado. Abstract The trends Currently in the Design Companies of the province of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba there is a deficit in the use of the most modern design techniques, an example of these, is the specialized AutoCAD Civil 3D software that constitutes a powerful tool for the projection of civil works more quickly and accurately. The proposed manual has as its fundamental premise the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D for the design of sewerage networks, which allows a better technical preparation of the designers and therefore a greater productivity and quality in the projects. The Planning Stage by determining the title and subject matter and software needed and then making the plot, the implementation phase begins to determine the frame design, then designs the framework and documents the activities carried out during the research. Checking the validity of the data Checking the validity of the data is done by displaying the results of the design of motorcycle tire release machines in accordance with the research plan. Analysis of research data is by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data. Preparation of this stage report all documentation collected and compiled into a research report. Abstract:
The article discusses the methods of using the AutoCad graphic editor for creating three-dimensional objects. The possibilities of three-dimensional modeling in the AutoCad graphic editor for optimizing the educational process of bachelors of technical specialties are also considered. The article analyzes the best ways to create mechanical engineering drawings.The most developed software tool for the production of design documentation is AutoCAD - a universal graphic design system. Creating models of any complexity in space by using this graphic editor, the user will be able to see their relative position, estimate the distance between them. The model can be freely moved in space, viewing many options. The ability to control the point of view allows to conveniently select the view of the 3D model that is being developed. Zooming, panning in real time with the ability to freely rotate the camera around the model provide the ability to quickly view objects from any point of view. The article provides examples of choosing the most optimal option for creating a three-dimensional model. The traditional way to create a 3D model drawing is to make 2D views of the model. When creating a flat drawing, there is a possibility of error when making projections, since they are created independently from each other and consist of several images. It is rather difficult to represent an object in space from a flat drawing. At present, modern software graphic editors are aimed at creating three-dimensional models that allow to create realistic models and, on their basis, get two-dimensional projections. Graphic editor AutoCad allows to create three-dimensional objects based on standard commands, in the form of a cylinder, cone, box, torus, etc., when editing which you can get the desired shapes. After creating a three-dimensional model, the user can get its two-dimensional projections not only on the main planes, but also on any plane at will. The 3D modeling method allows you to create a complex drawing with any number of images based on a 3D model. There are ways to create 2D plane drawings from a 3D model and the ability to edit ready-made designs that can be inserted from model space into paper space. Editing takes place by changing the parameters of a 3D object in model space, and these changes are automatically reflected in paper space. This method allows us to use the tools to quickly create a system of 3-4 linked views for a 3D AutoCad model.

Mahasiswa di tuntut untuk memahami materi pembelajaran secara teori dan praktek. Salah satu mata kuliah yang harus di kuasai oleh mahasiswa adalah menggambar teknik. Program Studi Teknik Sipil Universitas Dharma Andalas menerapkan mata kuliah menggambar teknik dengan sesi tatap muka kuliah, tugas menggambar secara manual, serta praktikum di laboratorium komputer dengan mengajarkan program AutoCAD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data secara kuisioner. Mahasiswa yang mengisi kuisioner adalah mahasiswa aktif yang sudah mengambil mata kuliah menggambar teknik yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) angkatan. Mahasiswa yang mengisi kuisioner sebanyak 76%, dan keseluruhan mahasiswa menyelesaikan praktikum dan tugas menggambar teknik serta seluruhnya setuju bahwa kemampuan dalam ilmu menggambar teknik harus dikuasai oleh lulusan teknik sipil. Mahasiswa yang mempunyai Komputer/Laptop pribadi untuk belajar program sebanyak 93%. Tingkat penguasaan kemampuan dasar-dasar program AutoCAD sudah di pahami lebih dari 50% mahasiswa dimana mahasiswa Sangat paham 18,91%, Paham 44,70%. Sedangkan untuk kemampuan modifikasi gambar, Sangat paham 10,25%, Paham 51,75%. Seluruh mahasiswa mampu menyelesaikan tugas menggambar teknik dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa pada umumnya sudah menguasai program AutoCAD (jumlahnya di atas 50%), namun butuh beberapa penyesuaian metode pembelajaran.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas modul tutorial Gambar dan Teknik dengan AutoCAD yang telah dikembangkan. Data penelitian diperoleh dari analisis angket uji validitas oleh validator yang terdiri 2 orang ahli materi dan media. Hasil uji validitas modul tutorial AutoCAD yang dinilai validator memperoleh nilai rata –rata 111 untuk ahli materi pada kategori valid sedangkan untuk ahli media mencapai nilai rata rata skor 120 dengan kategori sangat valid.

SATISFACTION LEVEL ANALYSIS OF AUTOCAD ONLINE TRAINING PARTICIPANTS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE AFFECTED BY COVID-19 USING KIRKPATRICK LEVEL I METHOD. Online AutoCAD training is an activity to learn modelling techniques using AutoCAD software for participants affected by Covid-19. Online AutoCAD training was held to increase people's productivity during the pandemic, increase knowledge, and develop modelling ability using AutoCAD software. The number of participants registered to join this program was 49 participants from open recruitment which consisted of 59% male participants and 41% female participants. The program ran for four meetings online, each session 1.5 hours with a system of introduction, learning, assignments, and exams. The service team also provides free facilitators, facilities, presenters and materials (F2PM) for training participants. So, to find out participants' satisfaction, it is necessary to conduct an evaluation at the end of the training. The review was carried out by means of an online survey to the participants, then processed qualitatively with the Kirkpatrick Level I method. The final result of the participant evaluation of the facilitator was considered acceptable (59%), the facilities were considered excellent (67%), the presenters were considered very good (56 %), and the material is considered very good (59%). In the future, evaluation data on the level of participant satisfaction can be used as a recommendation and motivation to organize advanced training.

Theoretical bases of creation of the digital topographic plan of district are considered, the analysis of the materials used for creation of the digital topographic plan of district is carried out. Types and features of application of topographic plans are analyzed. The most suitable geo-basis for creating a digital plan has been identified. Studies have shown that a 1: 500 scale geo-base is quite informative and most optimal for creating digital and conventional topographic plans in the city. Without additional removal, 1: 500 scale plans allow for the transition to smaller scale plans. According to current national regulations, a single coordinate and altitude system should be used to create topographic plans. Today, the only state coordinate system USK-2000 is used, which replaced the coordinate system SK-42, which is based on the Krasovsky ellipsoid and the Gauss-Krueger projection. Possibilities of development of electronic topographic plans with use of modern software complexes are investigated. Computer software allows you to process data as accurately as possible and perform tasks quickly. Among the main software packages used to create an electronic topographic plan of the area are AutoCAD, Digitals, Geonics, COMPASS, MapInfo Pro, Topocad. The choice of software product depends on the breadth of the task, the modernity of surveying instruments and their own software. An analysis of the software used in the creation of digital maps and topographic plans, which showed that the choice of a particular product depends on the breadth of the task, the modernity of surveying instruments and their own software. AutoCAD software is universal and fully adapted to modern geodetic problems. The use of AutoCAD software will ensure the final processing of data obtained during field work and the completion of the digital topographic plan of the area. The procedure for creating a digital topographic plan of the area using Digitals and AutoCAD software is considered. Creating a digital topographic plan of the area is a complex process consisting of several stages, which are described in the article.

This paper describes the design and application of hybrid modelling software for assisting die designers working in small and medium-sized sheet metal enterprises. The proposed procedure utilizes AutoLISP and AutoCAD for fast modelling of die components and the die assembly. The proposed die modelling software AUDIEDR comprises seven modules, namely DIEMOD, STRPRMOD, BPPPPMOD, BDSTMOD, TDSTMOD, BDIEASS and TDIEASS. The interfacing of AutoLISP with AutoCAD facilitates automatic drafting of die components and the die assembly. The software is written in AutoLISP and is loaded in the prompt area of AutoCAD. The program allows the user firstly to model the blank drawing. It then prompts the user to pick pregenerated data files for each die component and automatically models the die components and the die assembly using the above-mentioned modules sequentially. The chief feature of the software is its facility of interfacing die design with drafting. The software can be operated in a Windows environment on a PC/AT. An illustrative example has been included to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed system. The software also helps create a library of die components. The modelling system can be modified depending upon the requirements of the specific shop floor. The low cost of the system makes it affordable for planners working in small and medium-sized enterprises.

In this paper, a method of extracting 2D geometric data from AutoCAD drawing and post- processing for Numerical Control (NC) is presented. Geometric data already available in the Drawing Interchange Files (DXF) can be utilized to accurately and economically prepare part programs for controlling NC/CNC machine tools. AutoCAD, being generalpurpose software, stores its geometric data in a form that cannot be directly applied for automatic generation of Numerical Control (NC) codes. The way around the discrepancy between the structure of a drawing database (DXF files) and the information requirement for part programming is addressed in this work. NC programming of a test componentdrawn in AutoCAD is also presented.

Aimed at disadvantages of tedious work of the gear teeth design, Visual Fortran is taken as the development platform, and design data are stored and managed by self-developed program and database technology. A CAD System for Gear Teeth named GTCS is researched and developed. The system integrates designing and drawing in a body, and fully uses the powerful numerical calculation function of Visual Fortran and the function of Windows interface design, as well as the secondary development function of AutoCAD and database technology, etc. The software can realize designing and calculating of involute gear teeth and transmission mechanism, automatic drawing and various kinds of results post-processing. Results show that the research results greatly improved the efficiency and quality of the design. The result documents are easily accessible by other structural analysis software (such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, ADINA, etc) and similar design software, and convenient to use for the follow-up work.

In order to improve the efficiency of measurement, total station data extraction and transmission system based on AutoCAD is designed and implemented by the secondary development of AutoCAD software in the paper. The system is composed by communication module, data conversion module, point-plotting module. The system connects with the total station and collects automatically data to extract useful data form initial data, then automatically calculates and stores the coordinates, taking Visual Basic.NET as the development platform to realize AutoCAD-based plotting and mapping. Test results show the system realizes the integration of internal and field operation and can reduce the workload of manual editing and error rate, so as to improve the efficiency of internal operation for measurement.

In order to study the meso-structure of concrete deeply, this paper proposes a new approach—intersection method, which is much simpler and more applicable to check the interference for wide varieties of shape aggregate by using the VBA language built-in AUTOCAD. Results show that the procedure to establish the model of concrete aggregate is user-friendly, simple, intuitive and precise. It can be analyzed through introducing into finite element software for the further numerical study of macro and micro mechanical properties of concrete by using the mutual files SAT which is used to exchange the CAD data between AUTOCAD and other software.
