Abstract: This study explores the use of generative design in Autodesk Fusion 360 for improving knuckle joint design. By applying generative design principles, we created optimized designs specifically for additive manufacturing, which showed a significant reduction in von Mises stress compared to conventional designs. These results highlight the ability of generative design to develop structures that are more efficient and better suited for specific manufacturing processes. Overall, our findings suggest that generative design can optimize knuckle joints by lowering stress, reducing weight through careful material selection, and improving stiffness, offering valuable benefits for mechanical applications.

Abstract:
In today's design industries, the concept of generative design for product development is progressively evolving. When a product has been on the market for an extended period of time, redesigning becomes inevitable. Product redesign refers to modify an existing product to improve functionality, usability, or manufacturing efficiency. It involves changing the product's design, materials, and other aspects to address specific goals and problems. The communication between designers and engineers used to go on through different software products, tool commands, and even industry terms. However, the difficulty also lies in communicating design thoughts and machining strategies. Autodesk Fusion 360 is a comprehensive CAD/CAM and CAE software tool. This article proposes to utilize Fusion 360 for reinforcing product redesign simulation. A complete product redesign covers several significant areas, including industrial design, mechanical design, rendering and animation, computer-aided emulation (CAE), and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM). Fusion 360 presents an overview of collaboration, breaks the barriers between art and manufacturing, and blocks between design and processing. Using Fusion 360 user interface for simulation, the static FEA simulation results can be visualized. For the case study, it is observed that the results for stress and global displacement are within the critical yield strength values of the respective material, with mass customization. As a result of structural analysis during the design stage, the assessment of three-wheeled cargo motorcycle in terms of their durability and mechanical resistance is possible without putting the user at risk. Based on the obtained results, the structure strength was compared.

In this study, the general algorithm and technology of design in advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software of the CAD-in-the-Cloud type using an information model (IM) was discussed in detail. Applying design systems of this type increases productivity and quality of the development and enables group work on the project. The proposed information model consists of three main components – working with Autodesk Fusion 360 on a computer, working with cloud capabilities, and designers’ collaboration through the cloud. Nevertheless, some IM elements may be missing in a particular design, or there can be options for applying the proposed steps in the design process. Developing customized respiratory protective equipment (face masks) in Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD family was considered as an example of the suggested IM application. Modern design and producing technologies enable the creation of masks according to individual anatomical characteristics of the human face. In this paper, the protective mask was created by applying modern cloud computing technologies using information models. Information models were adapted to the process of protective mask design. The model of a human headform was developed using the 3D scanning method. After applying retopology tools, a basis of the mask frame was created on the surface of a 3D model of a head. Building a solid model and testing the mask fame configuration under mechanical stresses due to facial expression changing was carried out in Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD software. Finally, the cloud module of the generative design was applied to determine the filtering element configuration.

Abstract:
The manufacturing process is still being developed. The injection molding process is a manufacturing process that is often used in the production of plastic products. Using software with predetermined parameters, injection mold simulation of a predetermined product is carried out on the carabiner design. The parameters used are then assessed with quality prediction based on the best simulation results. If there is a product that does not meet the quality prediction value given (i.e. the value is less than optimal), improvements are made by changing the injection mold design or mold design. Three runner layout designs were made in such a way as to assess which of the runner layout designs for the carabiner mold had the highest quality prediction value. Then, from each runner layout design, variations in gate diameter sizes of 2 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm were made. Based on the simulation results that have been carried out, the best runner and gate layout is obtained in Design 1 with a gate diameter of 4 mm, whose quality prediction value reaches 100%. Then, the lowest quality prediction was obtained in Design 1 with a gate diameter of 6 mm.

Simulation of the static loading to the folding frame of the clothes hanger investigated by using Software Autodesk Fusion 360. The strength of the folding frame is important during hanging the clothes weight. The simulation of loading of wet clothes was by Autodesk Fusion 360 and performed in real life. The loads spread to three positions, which those locations investigated as critical locations. The locations are at short distance X1, medium X2, and far X3; the zeroing is from the wall. The simulation performs Von Misses procedure for the loading analysis. Thus, the result of the analysis responds to the external load at the joints of the structure. The loads are the weight of the wet clothes during drying time. The bar aluminum structure connects its parts using hinges. Simulation result obtains data of loading. Further, displacement analysis completes those data. The safety factor was at the frame loading simulation. That is, those data are in by Von Misses stress-strain analysis. The result reveals the effect of the frame loading. The process of loading 12 kg induces a safety factor 3.746, normal stress 73.42 Mpa, and a displacement of structure bar 6.452 mm. At loading 22 kg obtains the safety factor 2.038, maximum stress 134.9 Mpa, and the displacement 9.86 mm. Furthermore, loading 37 kg-load, the safety factor 1.21, prime stress enlarges 61.48 Mpa, and the displacement was larger by 10.97 mm. Therefore, the simulation result concludes the weight of clothes trends a linear effect on the loading of part joints. The frame structure is tough to the weight of dry clothes and safe, deformation of the bar is less than 10 % of normalizing for 37 kg-loading.

The objective of this project is to develop portable thermoelectric refrigeration whose casing is designed using Autodesk Fusion 360 and manufactured by 3D printing. This refrigerator consists of thermoelectric module as cooling generator along with insulated cabin, thermostat and charging unit. Thermoelectric elements perform the same cooling function as Freon-based vapour compression or absorption refrigerators. The design of the refrigeration is based on the principle of thermoelectric module (i.e. Peltier effect) to create a hot side and a cold side. The cold side of the thermoelectric module is used for refrigeration purposes. On the other hand, the heat from the hot side of the module is rejected to the surroundings with the help of heat sinks and fan. Based on the heat load calculations, the thermoelectric module is selected. The system is fabricated and experimentally tested for the time taken to cool to the required temperature. The results showed that the system can maintain the temperature of approximately 10 °C with minimum power consumption of 64 Watt.

Abstract <strong>Background/Objectives:</strong>&nbsp;The main objective of this study is to propose a new design of go-kart chassis and to assess the ability to bear the front, rear and side impacts on this proposed design. Another goal of this study is to make this design with different materials and also to test them in different loading conditions. To determine the safest material for the proposed Go-Kart chassis design based on the results obtained.<strong>&nbsp;Methods/Statistical analysis:</strong>&nbsp;A new and lighter go-kart chassis model is proposed in this study. A 3D go-kart chassis was modelled and its Finite Element Analysis was carried out on Autodesk fusion 360 software. Global test standards were used to simulate the impact behavior on go-kart chassis. In addition, this Go-kart chassis design was also made from three different materials i.e., AISI-4130, Al-6061 and CFRP composite. These Go-kart chassis were tested under different loading conditions. A comparative study of the obtained results was also carried out.&nbsp;<strong>Findings:</strong>&nbsp;The results of simulations performed under different conditions, showed this design has demonstrated adequate resistance against deformation in front, back and side impact tests. A rapidly evolving design technology in additive manufacturing is microlattice (or microarchitectured) materials. Investigating the performance of microlattices under different loading conditions is a key element for implementing this new technology into mechanical components used in different industries. In this paper, the mechanical behavior of five different microlattices under four standard modes of loading along with a combined loading scenario was investigated. The four standard modes of loading that were considered are tension, compression, simple shear, and bending. The combined loading scenario was simultaneous shear and compression. The lattice structures (i.e. octet-truss, diamond, pyramid, block lattice truss, and cubic truss) were modeled and meshed using Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360. Constraints and the elastic loading conditions for the structures were applied to the models in Fusion 360 and static finite element simulations were performed using Autodesk Nastran software. The results of all simulations were collated and a performance function was derived from the maximum stress and stiffness results and mass of the structures. The two highest performing structures (octet-truss and cubic lattice) according to the derived metric were then combined. The octet lattice performed well under shear and the combined loading cases, while the cubic lattice performed well under tension, compression, and bending. Simulations were repeated and the performance metric was then used to show that the combination of these structures, known as the Warren truss, had improved performance as a result.

Abstract:
Background: Patients with liver pathology benefit from image-guided interventions. Training for interventional procedures is recommended to be performed on liver phantoms until a basic proficiency is reached. In the last 40 years, several attempts have been made to develop materials to mimic the imaging characteristics of the human liver in order to create liver phantoms. There is still a lack of accessible, reproducible and cost-effective soft liver phantoms for image-guided procedure training. Methods: Starting from a CT-scan DICOM file, we created a 3D-printed liver mold using InVesalius (Centro de Tecnologia da informação Renato Archer CTI, InVesalius 3 open-source software, Campinas, Brazil) for segmentation, Autodesk Fusion 360 with Netfabb (Autodesk software company, Fusion 360 2.0.19426 with Autodesk Netfabb Premium 2023.0 64-Bit Edition, San Francisco, CA, USA) for 3D modeling and Stratasys Fortus 380 mc 3D printer (Stratasys 3D printing company, Fortus 380 mc 3D printer, Minneapolis, MN, USA). Using the 3D-printed mold, we created 14 gelatin-based liver phantoms with 14 different recipes, using water, cast sugar and dehydrated gelatin, 32% fat bovine milk cream with intravenous lipid solution and technical alcohol in different amounts. We tested all these phantoms as well as ex vivo pig liver and human normal, fatty and cirrhotic liver by measuring the elasticity, shear wave speed, ultrasound attenuation, CT-scan density, MRI signal intensity and fracture force. We assessed the results of the testing performed, as well as the optical appearance on ultrasound, CT and MRI, in order to find the best recipe for gelatin-based phantoms for image-guided procedure training. Results: After the assessment of all phantom recipes, we selected as the best recipe for transparent phantoms one with 14 g of gelatin/100 mL water and for opaque phantom, the recipes with 25% cream. Conclusions: These liver gelatin-based phantom recipes are an inexpensive, reproducible and accessible alternative for training in image-guided and diagnostic procedures and will meet most requirements for valuable training.

Abstract:
3D printing as digital manufacturing is considered the multiple aspects of the industry field, especially in advertising. This type of knowledge is based on the concept of a multi-layer fabrication technique called additive manufacturing, which produces physical objects created in 3D software (e.g., Maxon C4D, Autodesk Fusion 360, AutoCAD, Autodesk Maya, etc.) and then transforms the dimensional object to (e.g., G-Code). This article focuses on a question: Is there the importance of 3D printing application techniques, materials, and manufacturing in the field of advertising as a creative tool that can bring atypical formulation in advertising designs and create a new marketplace? They play an active part in promoting the product due to the absence of studies that focus on the presence of 3D printing in the advertising business, especially outdoor ones such as road advertisements or multidimensional wall advertisements. the findings from this study suggest that 3d applications like 3d advertising manufacturing, special materials, or other intelligent fabrication may be influenced by its method and process to a moderate degree as a new marketplace and strategy.

Abstract:
In the present study, Autodesk Fusion 360 software (which includes the A360 environment) is used to train engineering students for the demands of the industry 4.0. Fusion 360 is a tool that unifies product lifecycle management (PLM) applications and 3D-modeling software (PDLM—product design and life management). The main objective of the research is to deepen the students’ perception of the use of a PDLM application and its dependence on three categorical variables: PLM previous knowledge, individual practices and collaborative engineering perception. Therefore, a collaborative graphic simulation of an engineering project is proposed in the engineering graphics subject at the University of La Laguna with 65 engineering undergraduate students. A scale to measure the perception of the use of PDLM is designed, applied and validated. Subsequently, descriptive analyses, contingency graphical analyses and non-parametric analysis of variance are performed. The results indicate a high overall reception of this type of experience and that it helps them understand how professionals work in collaborative environments. It is concluded that it is possible to respond to the demand of the industry needs in future engineers through training programs of collaborative 3D modeling environments.

Abstract:
Topology optimization is the process of optimizing the shape and material distribution of a part. This study examines the topology optimization of the hanging apparatus of a boat's crane. The goal here is to design a lighter and more efficient hanging apparatus. Initially, topology optimization was performed using a CAD software such as Autodesk Fusion 360. This software aids engineers in creating complex designs, simulating real-world scenarios, and optimizing material distribution. The design process began with the use of a non-equilateral triangle to determine the shape of the part. Later, two cylindrical rings that attach to the pole were added. These steps completed the initial geometry. Subsequently, it was indicated that the part needed to be light and resistant to weather conditions. Therefore, aluminum 6061 material was chosen. The material properties were chosen to ensure the proper functioning of the part. A static analysis was performed to determine the strength of the part. The forces and constraints applied to the part were simulated considering a one-ton capacity. A displacement of 1.32 millimeters and a safety factor of 6 were found. Then, following the topology optimization, an analysis of the new geometry resulted in a displacement of approximately 4 millimeters for the part. The predetermined minimum safety factor is 3, and the factor found in the analysis was 3.7. This is an acceptable value to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the part. The optimization process aimed to reduce the mass of the part. By preserving the initially determined safety factor, savings were made in the material and a successful reduction of approximately 42% in mass was achieved. This study demonstrates that topology optimization is a significant tool in engineering design and CAD software such as Autodesk Fusion 360 can be effectively used in this process. The analyses and optimizations conducted reveal that it's possible to design a lighter and more efficient hanging apparatus. This provides numerous advantages such as cost savings, performance increase, and reduction of environmental impact.

Engineering and innovation in the manufacturing process will continue to be carried out. This aims to ensure that there are always improvements in every product made, both in terms of design, materials used, and how the production process is carried out. Product design innovation is often also aimed at efficiency and reducing product production costs. Innovation in a product must be to improve, not reduce the value and usefulness of the product being made. The aim of this research is to determine the distribution of stress and strain as well as the safety factor of carabiners as hanging accessories using polypropylene polymer material. The research uses experimental methods, namely observing the simulation results that occur in the form of stress, strain and safety factors, as well as knowing the cause and effect phenomena that occur in the design of a carabiner for an accessory. By changing the shape of each design to the upper end of the frame in the direction of the carabiner gate, R15, R30 and R45. As well as varying the load given by 10 N to 100 N, with an increase in force of 10 N in each simulation carried out, with axial and vertical loading directions. By ignoring the type of gate and the shape of the connection on the carabiner gate. The different shapes in each carabiner design cause differences in the tension distribution that occurs. The R15 design has a maximum stress value at a load of 100 N, namely 25.03 MPa, the R30 design is 33.78 MPa, and the R45 design is 63.61 MPa. The vertical loading direction achieves a good safety level of 4.0 at a load of 20 N in the R15 and R30 designs. Meanwhile, axial loading does not achieve product safety targets. The difference in calculating the factor of safety is 4.0 between the results of computer computing and the results of analytical calculations using a formula, namely 1% of the maximum limit of 5%.

Abstract:
This work continues previous research on expanding the capabilities of computer modeling and adapting the tools of relevant software packages for the development of design documentation in accordance with standards. The aim of this paper is to develop and use modules that simplify the work of the user of 3D modeling packages. This simplification is achieved using an application programming interface (API) as a special protocol for the interaction of computer software, in particular, in the environment of the Autodesk Inventor package. The main goal is to study object models based on API programs and develop/improve algorithms and methods for creating digital object models. This includes the use of programming languages and features that have appeared in the latest versions of Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, etc. Previously, modules for building the correct conical chamfer for prismatic bodies and for holes that extend onto cylindrical surfaces were proposed. The paper considers and solves the issues of displaying threaded connections and stiffeners (rib) in cross-sections in accordance with the standards, as well as simplified display of transition lines in places where casting radii are used. To address the above issues, attention was focused on a deeper study of the API capabilities for managing objects, methods, and properties of their elements belonging to the respective environment. In principle, all operations performed in dialog mode can be programmed using appropriate macros. The application of the proposed algorithms and tools will significantly speed up the process of designing special elements of various parts.

Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper gives details on the use of 3D smart printing technology to fabricate microfluidic chips for integration into biosensors for the detection and diagnosis of diseases. Additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, is a process used to create complex, three-dimensional objects by adding layer upon layer of material until the desired shape is formed. Microfluidic chips are used to manipulate fluids through separation and mixing. Conventional microfluidic chip fabrication methods are expensive, require much experience to operate, and are time consuming, while 3D printing offers a solution to these challenges. The 3D printing technique prints models designed using a computer-aided design software such as Autodesk Fusion 360. In this work the authors show example microfluidic chips which were printed using a 3D printer, these include an X-channel chip, Y-channel chip and a lateral flow chip which can all be integrated with biosensing setups.

Abstract:
