Full textSince the quality procedures are entered into the world of the hospital imposing building standards and the search for profitability, social logic has given way to economic logic. Rationalization of labor has become caregivers by implementing these standards, not taking into account the considerations of the psychological and physical activity providers, where the effects on their health and the manifestations of suffering at work. It is in the context that addressed occupational health officers not in terms of the reduction of suffering at work but in the development of psychological well-being. We propose to study how to build the psychological well-being at work through the experiences of caregivers in the hospital is to say how it is an object representations which relate to professional cognitive, emotional memories related to experiences and symbolized. In the light of social psychology and labor contributions of positive psychology and the theory of self-analysis of data from non-directive interviews with caregivers has allowed us to identify the characteristics of concept. Related to the interaction between the individual and the work environment on the one hand, and related to the individual on the other hand, these characteristics have allowed us to consider actions for the development of psychological well-being at work both the individual and organizational

Full textSince the beginning of the 20th century and Freud's theoretical progresses on the unconscious, Western societies have gradually evolved towards a depathologization of sexualities and sexuations. To such an extent that the year 2014 saw the officialization of a non-specific sex identity on the Australian territory. This thesis in psychopathology and psychoanalysis proposes to question the meeting between subjective singularities and societal determiners in order to hypothecate the possible echoes that led to the emergence of the first adult citizenship with non-specific sex. What consequences can the recognition of new non-binary identities generate on the modeling of the psychic apparatus and what theoretical adjustments can be considered for the psychoanalytic theorization of the 21st century?

Full textPatients with type 1 diabetes need to adjust to the disease in order to maintain an adequate glycemic control. Based on the assumptions of self-regulation theory, the present thesis explores the role of psychosocial factors in adjustment to type 1 diabetes. For this purpose the online study MONDIAB has been developed and implemented. Patients who met the criteria for participation and who agreed to the study completed a questionnaire related to their personal experiences at two time intervals. Altogether, 321 patients aged between 16 and 65 years filled in the first questionnaire, thereof 120 patients participated in the second survey six months later. Results are presented by a means of three empirical studies that identify correlates of patients’ behavioral, physiological and emotional adjustment. The first study shows that perceived control, autonomous motivation, as well as the interaction of these factors serve as predictors for gylcemic control and diabetes diet. A second study points out the indirect effect of autonomy supportiveness of health care providers on patients’ glycosylated hemoglobin six months later. This indirect effect is mediated by a reinforcement of both patients’ autonomous motivation and perceived competence. The third study underlines the impact of goal disturbance, coping styles and self-efficacy, as well as perceived social support on patients’ well-being. In conclusion, the results of the present thesis elucidate the importance of considering psychosocial factors for understanding and improvingadjustment to type 1 diabetes

Full textThe hierarchical model of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation (Vallerand, 1997) suggested that motivation exists at three levels of generality. The situational level refers to the motivation that individuals experience when they are currently engaging in an activity. The contextual level refers to individuals’ usual motivational orientation toward a specific context (e. G. , physical activity, education). Finally global motivation represents general guidelines to the causality of a person within the meaning described by Deci and Ryan (1985). We especially focused on the situational level since it allows us to distinguish between changes in motivation during the same activity. Our first study (i. E. , chapter 3) aims at showing that situational intrinsic motivation is a dynamic construct. Studies two, three and four (i. E. , chapter 4) are conducted to develop, validate and apply a new tool for measuring situational motivation. This tool (i. E. , SiMS4) is a "paper and pencil" questionnaire-type with four items (i. E. , intrinsic motivation, two types of extrinsic motivation, and amotivation) which allows subjects to self-evaluate several times when performing a task. Our last study (i. E. , chapter 5) is a new application of our tool in schools. We show that the students’ situational motivation vary between a mechanism for preserving and flexibility. This mechanism makes possible a more or less important continuous evolution of the motivation during the school situation

Full textSelf-determination is a universal right based on the principle of normalization (Nirje, 1972). Wehmeyer (1999) defines the concept of self-determination as the set of skills and attitudes required for individuals to act upon their lives by making free choices that are not influenced by unwanted external agents. In line with this concept, the social policies of many countries place self-determination as a central element in support for people with disabilities, especially people with intellectual disability (ID). Research shows that people with ID have self-determination, cognitive, motor, and daily functioning difficulties that do not allow them to fully participate in their lives and their communities. Assistive technologies, and in particular self-determination support technologies, offer extremely promising perspectives for people with ID, especially with regard to personal development, skills, social inclusion or community participation. In this context, the objectives of this thesis are: 1) to better understand the difficulties of self-determination of people with Down syndrome; 2) to better understand the cognitive difficulties in this population; and 3) to design, develop and validate two digital assistants for self-determination support. The results of the studies, presented in this thesis, show that self-regulation is the component of self-determination perceived as the weakest by people with Down syndrome, while autonomy and self-realization are not perceived as problematic. Furthermore, the level of self-determination is related to language, memory and motor skills. Prospective memory and decision-making abilities are deficient in adults with Down syndrome and are also related to elf-determination and self-regulation. Finally, the two digital assistants that we have designed and developed have shown their effectiveness: improvement of ideas and elements related to the life plan and home skills. Their prolonged use of these technologies has also been associated with extremely positive impact on psychological well-being, worry, self-determination and self-esteem

Full textWhile patronymic identification prevails in the context of classroom assessments, the use of artifacts to collect learners' response makes it possible to propose alternative modalities of identification. Does the manipulation of learners' identification in a frequent, synchronous, on site non-certified assessment impact the visible participation recorded by the artifact? The literature argues that anonymity is the cause of visible participation as it protects learners' social esteem in case of error. We assume that the (un)traceability of the identifier, rather than anonymity (absence of name), affects the degree of social comparison between learners who contribute or not to meeting their needs for autonomy, competence and relationships identified in the theory of self-determination (SDT). We further explore the study of competence needs, which are paramount in a learning context, through the theory of achievement goals. We test 3 modalities of identification. Two imposed modalities explore the conventional polarity of traceability (pseudonymic identification vs. patronymic identification). The third modality allows learners to choose their identifier creating an additional identity polarity that opposes imposed identifications (patronymic and pseudonymic) to self-determined identification. We hypothesize that these 3 identification modalities satisfy differently the 3 needs identified in the SDT thwarting or encouraging intrinsic motivation. We measure these differentials by comparing the response rates recorded by the artifact during the frequent sequences of non-certified assessments implemented

Full textThe purpose of this doctoral dissertation was to analyze the relationship between motivation and performance in the sport domain based on self-determination theory (Deci & Ryan, 1985). The first five studies aimed at developing and validating a questionnaire designed to assess perceptions of competence, autonomy, and relatedness in the sport context. The purpose of study 6 was to examine the relationships between competitive and recreational sport structures, gender, individual and team sports, level of competition, sport motivation and athletes’ perceptions of autonomy, competence and relatedness. The purpose of study 7 was to test the relationships between perceptions of competence, autonomy and relatedness, and self- determined motivation in various environmental conditions. In study 8, a motivational model of sport performance based on the hierarchical model of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation (Vallerand, 1997) was tested. Study 9 investigated whether assessing adolescent elite athletes’ motivational profiles at the beginning of the season would allow us to predict their performance during the subsequent season. Finally, in a last study, we analyzed the influence of coach’s behaviors on athletes’ motivation and performance

Full textThe evolution of the conceptual approach to disability, the guidelines developed by international organizations, declined at the european level in terms of rights and social participation of people with disabilities gradually led to the establishment of an inclusive society, with impacts on access to education, vocational training or higher education and professional insertion of young people with disabilities. The subject of this thesis in Education Science is part of a qualitative interpretive and comprehensive survey with phenomenological sensitivity, and focuses on the training path towards the professional insertion of young peoplewith disabilities. It proposes, from their stories, to understand the personal subjective meaning that each one can give to his/her path and his own life, to understand how these young people develop their vocational guidance project, how they can become the authors of their training and of their insertion through the experience of disability, for some of them with physical impairments. The chosen approach was to give priority to the narrative feature with an opening to otherness, a sensitive listening to the fragments of course delivered by these young people, and an analysis in a multi-referentiality bringing intelligibility to this research topic and emerging phenomena. A first analysis-synthesis work for each of the portraits with a reading based on key notions such as subject-actor, psychological empowerment, events, bifurcations and biographical transitions, gives prospects of generalization in the form of pathways typologies
