This report describes work done on implementing automatic detection of looping frame sequences in a video signal. The central loop detection algorithm is described. Hashing of video frames is used as a means of improving computational performance. Two video signals are compared with respect to containing loops, and switching of displayed stream is done based on evaluated stream qualities.
