Abstract:

This article sheds light on the indirect influence exercised by the Inquisition on the process of beatification of the «servant of God» Nicolas de Ayllon. Through the analysis of his hagiography, written by the Jesuit Bernardo Sartolo, this article will highlight the importance that this literary genre had in the process of establishing his reputation for sanctity. Furthermore, this article examines how the intervention of the Holy Office, which questioned the hagiography and the main witness of the process, Maria Jacinta de Montoya, cast many doubt son the image of the sanctity of Nicolas. The examination led to the discrediting of his reputation as a candidate for sainthood and the suspension of the process.<br>Este artículo explica la influencia indirecta que la Inquisición ejerció en el proceso de beatificación de Nicolás de Ayllón, el «siervo de Dios». Por medio del análisis de su hagiografía, escrita por el jesuita Bernardo Sartolo, se conocerá la importancia que dicho género tuvo dentro del proceso de consolidación de la fama de santidad de Ayllón. Asimismo, se estudiará cómo la intervención que el Santo Oficio ejerció sobre la hagiografía y la principal testigo del proceso, María Jacinta de Montoya, generó una serie de cuestionamientos en la imagen de santidad de Nicolás, lo cual derivó en un desprestigio a su reputación como candidato a santo y la suspensión del proceso que buscaba exaltarlo a los altares.

Abstract:

Este trabajo de tesis explica la influencia indirecta que el tribunal de la Inquisición ejerció en el proceso de beatificación de un personaje el cual, a fines del siglo XVII, despertó gran expectativa en el contexto social y religioso: el siervo de Dios, Nicolás de Ayllón. A través del análisis de la hagiografía que el jesuita Bernardo Sartolo escribió sobre este personaje, se conocerá la importancia que dicho género, y sus tópicos literarios, tuvieron dentro del proceso de consolidación de su fama de santidad. La trascendencia que tenía el corpus testimonial dentro del prestigio religioso alcanzado por Nicolás, será también objeto de estudio, en especial por la suspensión en la cual recayó el proceso de beatificación a raíz de dos acciones concretas: la censura que el Santo Oficio dictaminó sobre la obra de Sartolo; y la realización de un proceso inquisitorial en la cual se vio enfrascada una de los principales testigos y colaboradoras en el objetivo de elevarlo a los altares, como fue María Jacinta de Montoya, esposa de Nicolás de Ayllón.<br>Tesis

Memoria (licenciado en ciencias jurídicas y sociales)<br>El presente estudio biográfico revisa, cronológicamente, las diversas etapas en la vida de don Miguel Aylwin Gajardo. Su objetivo es desnudar las principales características de la personalidad de este profesor y juez, así como también conocer, desde su perspectiva, la realidad educacional y judicial de la primera mitad del siglo XX. Para ello la investigación se centró en bibliografía diversa, como libros de historia, diarios de época, jurisprudencias y entrevistas a los señores Tomás y Patricio Aylwin Azócar. El resultado es una obra que, a partir del repaso de la vida este reconocido juez, permite evaluar comparativamente los reales avances que ha experimentado la judicatura actual y mantener así también viva su historia y la de los hombres que la han constituido.

Our objective was to investigate technical support for the performance of Cantares para Airton Barbosa by Aylton Escobar, because the lack of knowledge about the technique for the emission of these sounds precludes this performance. We conducted primarily a bibliographic study of methods that address the technique for issuing multiphonics sounds. Later we proceeded a technical and interpretive study of Escobar's work, based on studies of the previous phase. Finally, our goal was to diagnose the real technical extensions required for the issue of multiphonics. For this, we compared the instructions for fingering, embouchure and air pressure of Weissenborn´s method 1887, the reference to traditional bassoon technique, with the instructions found on modern methods, which address the multiphonics, as the methods of Bartolozzi (1967), Penazzi (1971), Gallois (2009) and Sampson (2004). After conducting this research, we concluded that the materials presented here, provide sufficient technical support for the performance of multiphonics present in Cantares. However, we observed different results in different types of materials, which shows the need to test by the performer. We also conclude that for the issue of multiphonics sounds there were technical extensions fingering, at the mouth and in the field of air pressure in relation to the Weissenborn instructions for the performance of the bassoon.<br>Nesta pesquisa abordamos sons multifônicos ao fagote. Nosso objetivo foi investigar e discutir subsídios técnicos para a performance da obra Cantares para Airton Barbosa do compositor Aylton Escobar, pois o desconhecimento sobre a técnica para a emissão desses sons impossibilita esta performance. Realizamos primeiramente um estudo bibliográfico envolvendo métodos que abordam a técnica para a emissão dos sons multifônicos. Posteriormente procedemos um estudo técnico-interpretativo da obra de Escobar, fundamentado nos estudos da fase anterior. Por fim, nosso objetivo foi diagnosticar as reais extensões técnicas requeridas para a emissão dos multifônicos. Para isso, comparamos as instruções relativas a dedilhado, embocadura e pressão de ar, do método de Julius Weissenborn, de 1887, referência da técnica tradicional do fagote, com as instruções encontradas nos materiais modernos que abordam os multifônicos, como em Bartolozzi (1967), Penazzi (1971), Gallois 2009 e Sampson (2014). Após a realização dessa pesquisa, pudemos concluir que os materiais apresentados aqui, oferecem subsídios técnicos suficientes para a performance dos multifônicos presentes em Cantares. Porém, observou-se diferentes resultados em diferentes tipos de materiais, o que mostra a necessidade de testes por parte do performer. Concluímos também que para a emissão dos sons multifônicos houveram extensões técnicas no dedilhado, na embocadura e no domínio da pressão do ar, em relação às instruções de Weissenborn para a performance do fagote.

Abstract:

La thèse a pour objet l’histoire et la mémoire de Tinguipaya. Elle tente de reconstruire le passé des ayllus de Tinguipaya à partir de l’empreinte que celui-ci a laissé dans la mémoire collective mais aussi à partir des documents conservés dans les archives historiques. Il s’agit notamment de confronter les histoires orales transmises dans les ayllus, recueillies en quechua, avec les documents écrits, de comparer leurs points de vue et versions des faits, et d’interpréter chacune de ces deux sources à la lumière de l’autre. La démarche est indiciaire au sens où elle progresse à partir d’indices, souvent ténus, pour les relier entre eux et ainsi faire surgir une nouvelle version de l’histoire. Celle-ci n’est alors ni celle qui se raconte dans cette communauté ni celle qui pourrait être produite à la lecture des seules sources écrites mais bien le produit d’un dialogue entre savoirs. La recherche porte sur une histoire longue de cinq cents ans. Elle part du moment actuel et de la manière dont le passé est remémoré aujourd’hui au travers des histoires et des rites pour remonter jusqu’aux origines de Tinguipaya : la création du village de réduction vers 1575 et le processus d’ethnogenèse qui s’en suivit. Les habitants de Tinguipaya content un certain nombre de « mythes d’origine » qui permettent de mieux comprendre comment les réformes tolédanes furent vécues par les populations indigènes et comment ce vécu fut transmis aux générations suivantes. À partir du rituel du cabildo (qui accompagne actuellement le payement de la taxe), la thèse examine l’évolution de ces trois institutions coloniales fondamentales que sont le caciquat, le cabildo et le tribut. La thèse étudie aussia lutte des caciques délégués (apoderados) contre les politiques libérales sur la terre (ex-vinculación) et la résistance des ayllus de Tinguipaya aux tentatives d’annexion des haciendas, montrant ainsi les liens étroits entre la micro histoire de Tinguipaya et l’histoire de la Bolivie. Les narrations orales et les documents écrits constituent les deux principales sources de cette recherche. Cependant, malgré l’abondance de la mémoire-narrative, on constate également des « trous de mémoire ». La thèse cherche donc aussi à voir si au-delà de la mémoire explicite, il n’est pas possible de retrouver dans certaines pratiques rituelles la trace d’un passé apparemment oublié. La thèse cherche à mettre en valeur les récits historiques propres aux ayllus de Tinguipaya et ainsi à faire connaître une historiographie encore largement ignorée qui permet de remettre en question l’histoire officielle.

Abstract:

La presente tesis tiene como objetivo estudiar los desencuentros y las ambivalencias quesurgieron apartir delaconfiguración de la literatura, de fines de siglo XIX, como vehículo de denuncia de los males sociales a través de la adopción de un nuevolineamiento literario, el naturalismo-realismo, que se consideraba antagónico al estilo romántico, el cual pese a ser unelemento remanente en esta etapa finisecular aun prevalecía dentro del ámbito literario. En el primer capítulo se abordará,a partir de dos publicaciones del semanario El Perú Ilustrado: el cuento Magdala de Henrique Coelho Netto y la polémica literaria entre Carlos Germán Amézaga y Arturo Ayllón, los antagonismos latentes que se intentó ocluir en la etapa romántica y que con el surgimiento de este nuevo lineamiento naturalista-realista fueron develados. En primer lugar, con respecto a las repercusiones que tuvo el escándalo provocado por la publicación de Magdala, en el cual se describe a través de un lenguaje sensual la atracción sexual de María Magdalena y Jesús de Nazaret, sugeriremos que este “affaire”resquebrajó la imagen de naciónmoderna peruana que se había construido en el periodo romántico, debido a que saca a flote un problema latente: la intolerancia ante la libertad temáticaliteraria. La segunda publicación, que se analizará en este capítulo,es la breve polémica literariasuscitada entre los escritores Carlos Germán Amezaga y Arturo Ayllón con relación al naturalismo. A partir de este corpus textual analizaremos los siguientes aspectos: la relación entre la obra literaria y moralidad; la relación entre el “belletrismo”, elemento remanente del romanticismo de mitad de siglo, y el lenguaje naturalista; y, por último,la preocupación por la mujer lectora. Esta crítica periodística-literarianos permitirá entender cómo se oculta, a través de lo que hemos denominado “la fantasía de la nación moderna” las tensiones que causó el cambio de lineamiento de una literaturaque no buscaba comprometerse con los cambios sociales a otra más vinculada a este fin. Asimismo, dentro de esta polémica naturalista-belletrista veremos como existe una relación entre género sexual y género literario que origina la distinción entre un género literario adecuado para el sujeto femenino y otro estrictamente apto parael masculino. Para cerrar este capítulo se examinará un grupo de reseñas críticas de la primera novela de Matto de Turner,Aves sin nido, que nos ayudará a vislumbrar como se intenta deslindar a esta novela,y a la autora, de cualquier relación con la corriente zoliana, por lo cual se calificará que ella sigue un “buen naturalismo”, concepto que definiremos en este trabajo.<br>Tesis

Abstract:

Cuando en 1924 Leonidas Aguilar visitó San Sebastián observó los ayllus que existían en el distrito para esa época. El primer ayllu, llamado Sañu Ayllu, “Queda situado en la parte alta de la población, hacia el sitio donde funciona los hornos en que cuecen las tejas i los ladrillos, principal industria en San Sebastián” (2005: 75). El Sañu Ayllu se subdividía en Suksu, Auckaylli, Chima, Raurau, Apu-Mayta y Sañu. El segundo ayllu, llamado Ayarmaka, se ocupaba de cultivar maíz y cebollas y se subdividía en k´ollana, Fiscal, Ninankuro, Cereal y Sitkos. Sus miembros tenían sus viviendas y terrenos situados en el llano. Treinta años después, en 1950, Maximiliano Moscoso también estudió los ayllus en San Sebastián. Observó que los miembros del ayllu Sucsu residían en la parte norte del pueblo, siguiendo la dirección hacia San Jerónimo, a la entrada de la población, a la mano izquierda de la carretera y hacia la calle Teja Huasi donde se encontraban los hornos para la cocción de tejas. Dentro del perímetro que ocupaba este ayllu se encontraban la plaza principal y la iglesia. Más arriba de los hornos se asentaban los miembros del ayllu Aucaille. Los ayllus Chima y Raurau se hallaban a la derecha de la carretera, desde el comienzo del poblado hasta casi la mitad de éste, donde se encontraba la cruz de “chima raurau” empotrada a la pared de un canchón contiguo al cementerio. Pasando esta cruz se encontraban las calles Sañuc, Yacanora y Apumayta. (2005: 95-96) Hoy en día los nombres de las calles han cambiado y en su lugar se han puesto los nombres de los héroes de la Independencia. Orientador: Laan Mendes de Barros<br>Resumo: Esta tese tem por objetivo discutir a contribuição da experiência estética aos estudos da comunicação midiatizada a partir do fenômeno de interpretação da imagem de Aylan Kurdi, pequeno refugiado sírio morto numa praia da Turquia. Toma-se com ponto de partida a imagem na perspectiva da cultura e tratada como um objeto estético que se oferece à percepção estética, que se dá na experiência sensível. A experiência estética é compreendida no seu aspecto relacional, enquanto percepção ativa do espectador diante do objetivo estético midiatizado. Por sua vez, a comunicação é tomada em uma dimensão estética com a participação dos espectadores nas dinâmicas de produção e partilha de sentidos e de afetos. Com as possibilidades de reelaborações e compartilhamentos, as experiências estéticas se desdobram em experiências poéticas, conectadas com possibilidades dialógicas e dialéticas entre os sujeitos, em relações de reconhecimento e de alteridade. A tese fundamenta-se na pesquisa bibliográfica e na análise da imagem e suas releituras, com a elaboração de seis categorias temáticas e três eixos analíticos: temporalidades, territorialidades e mediações. O estudo identificou que alguns temas foram mais recorrentes nas criações dos espectadores de acordo com os elementos formais utilizados, associando a cena com circunstâncias religiosas, políticas e relativas à cotidianidade da criança. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo)<br>Abstract: This is the objective of discussing the contribution of aesthetic experience to studies of mediatized communication, based on the phenomenon of image interpretation of Aylan Kurdi, a small Syrian refugee who died on a beach in Turkey. It is taken as a starting point in the image in perspective of culture and treated as an aesthetic object that offers aesthetic perception, that offers a sensitive experience. The aesthetic experience is understood in its relational aspect, while the spectator's active perception is facing the mediatized aesthetic objective. In turn, communication is taken on an aesthetic scale with the participation of viewers in the dynamics of production and sharing of meanings and affections. With possibilities for re-elaborations and sharing, as aesthetic experiences unfold in poetic experiences, connected with dialogical and dialectical possibilities between the subjects, in relationships of recognition and change. This is a bibliographic and image analysis study and its reinterpretations,with an elaboration of six thematic categories and three analytical axes: temporalities, territorialities and mediations. The study identified that some themes were more recurrent in the spectators' creations according to the formed elements used, associating a scene with religious, political circumstancesandthe child's usual use. The reinterpretations also had aspects that expanded the interpretation of the scene to street demonstrations, performances, graffiti and monum... No. of bitstreams: 1 115571.pdf: 758141 bytes, checksum: 2c552b0559cccae94f7b11f0d7669707 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-02-28<br>Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior<br>Este trabajo busca examinar y problematizar el discurso político producido por la Ofensiva Roja de Ayllus Tupakataristas (ORAT), organización política indígena surgida al fin de los años 80 en Bolivia, que al desdoblarse en una organización armada llamada Ejército Guerrillero Tupak Katari (EGTK), produjo una serie de atentados dinamiteros en un proceso de insurgencia armada e fue debelada por la acción del Estado boliviano en 1992. El discurso político de la Ofensiva analizado en este trabajo está expreso en su boletín publicado entre los años 1988 y 1991. Ese discurso tenía como característica fundamental la construcción de una identidad colectiva indígena que posibilitara la producción de la lucha armada con la intención de tomar el poder de las manos de los blancos-mestizos, acusados de racismo y de mantener las poblaciones indígenas bajo un régimen de opresión constante. Para eso, el discurso estaba basado históricamente, reivindicaba héroes y creaba una identidad de si en contraposición a del otro, el blanco-mestizo. Analizando el discurso expreso en el boletín y considerando los acontecimientos y la historicidad del movimiento indígena boliviano, es posible percibir la constitución de una nueva cultura política durante las dos décadas finales del siglo XX y que emergió en las luchas sociales conocidas por Guerras del Agua y del Gas ocurridas en el inicio de los años 2000. Esa cultura política está caracterizada por principios morales y éticos, formas organizativas y pautas que fueran creadas a partir de las culturas indígenas. Así, este trabajo busca dar al lector la posibilidad de entendimiento de ese proceso amplio a partir de las características principales del discurso tupakatarista y de sus antecesores: el Indianismo y el Katarismo, considerando la historicidad de ese fenómeno, a mí modo de ver, aún en desarrollo.<br>Este trabalho busca examinar e problematizar o discurso político produzido pela Ofensiva Roja de Ayllus Tupakataristas (ORAT), organização política indígena surgida no final dos anos 1980 na Bolívia que, ao se desdobrar numa organização armada chamada Ejército Guerrillero Tupak Katari (EGTK), produziu uma série de atentados à bomba num processo de insurgência armada e foi debelada pela ação do Estado boliviano em 1992. O discurso político da Ofensiva analisado neste trabalho está expresso no seu boletim publicado entre 1988 e 1991. Esse discurso tinha como característica fundamental a construção de uma identidade coletiva indígena que possibilitasse a produção da luta armada com o intuito de tomar o poder das mãos dos brancos-mestiços, acusados de racismo e de manter as populações indígenas sob um regime de opressão constante. Para isso, o discurso estava historicamente embasado, reivindicava heróis e criava uma identidade de si em contraposição a do outro, o branco-mestiço. Analisando o discurso expresso no boletim e considerando os acontecimentos e a historicidade do movimento indígena boliviano, é possível perceber a constituição de uma nova cultura política durante as duas décadas finais do século XX e que emergiu nas lutas sociais conhecidas como Guerras da Água e do Gás ocorridas no início dos anos 2000. Essa cultura política está caracterizada por princípios morais e éticos, formas organizativas e pautas que foram cunhadas a partir das culturas indígenas. Assim, este trabalho busca dar ao leitor a possibilidade de entendimento desse processo amplo a partir das características principais do discurso tupakatarista e de seus antecessores: o Indianismo e o Katarismo, considerando a historicidade desse fenômeno, a meu ver, ainda em desenvolvimento.

Trouxe também mais uma vez a discussão sobre o poder transformador da imagem, sobretudo da fotografia icônica. Propõe-se discutir o suposto estatuto transformador da imagem e identificar os elementos presentes na fotografia de Aylan Kurdi responsáveis por inquietar o mundo em favor e contra os refugiados, bem como as características de uma sociedade em que as tecnologias digitais criam condições para que os indivíduos atuem ativamente na propagação de conteúdos, alterando irreversivelmente a forma como nos comunicamos.Por meio de leitura de imagem, do estudo do imaginário e da sociedade em rede, e com uso de metodologia qualitativa, procedeu-se à análise das reproduções artísticas da fotografia de Aylan, sustentada em teóricos dos campos estudados. A pesquisa recuperou a trajetória da imagem e do imaginário no Ocidente e localizou no tempo e no espaço o drama dos refugiados, com destaque para a guerra civil na Síria, bem como associou tais aspectos à emergência da sociedade em rede e das tecnologias digitais que põe em xeque as formas tradicionais de exercício do poder, uma vez que esse exercício depende do controle da comunicação. Constatou que a imagem em estudo inquietou indivíduos e grupos, gerou iniciativas empáticas transitórias em defesa dos refugiados, mas divide a opinião de estudiosos do tema sobre seu poder transformador. El valle del Cuzco, está conformado por dos clases de nobleza inca: los descendientes de los gobernantes incas y la gente reconocida como parientes lejanos de los incas. El estudio del sistema de tenencia de tierras de los ayllus y panacas, es importancia para entender la organización social de los incas, nobles de privilegio y el sistema complejo de ceques y huacas. Los ayllus reales de Hanan Cusco, conforman los descendientes por línea paterna de los incas gobernantes y situados en el sector del Chinchaysuyu y Antisuyu, del norte al sur margen izquierda del valle del Cusco y son: la descendientes de Huayna Capac, "Ayllu Tomibamba", Tupa Inca Yupanqui, el "Capac Ayllu", Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui, el "Hatun Ayllu"; Viracocha Inca el Zuczo Ayllu, Yahuar Huacac- Aucaylli Ayllu; Inca Roca -Ayllu Vicaquirao; Capac YupanquiAyllu Apomayta; Lloque Yupanqui -Ayllu Haguainin o Andamachay; Sinche Roca - Ayllu Raorao y de Manco Capac, el Ayllu Chima. Abstract:

Camelid exploitation, despite its economic antiquity in our nation, recently has awakened greater interest in investigators. Currently, there are more than 2,500,000 llamas in the Altiplano, which is the highest number of camelids on the world. Production is organic, with the llama capital of Bolivia being the department of Oruro. This work's objective is to determine four production parameters: composition and structure of llama herds, percentage of births, cria [calf] mortality, and crias that reach 5 months old, in 3 communities of Ayllu Pumasa of Saucar’ province, department of Oruro. The llama-raising system is traditional and herds contain more than 50 llamas per family. Exploitation of llama products still does not have much importance more than commercialization of llama meat in local markets. This study occurred with 9527 llamas from 60 herds, in which the composition of llamas by breed, class, age, and sex was determined, along with birth, mortality, and crias that reached 5 months old, through living in the communities that permitted specialized registration in adequate moments according to the llamas' behavior with families selected for this purpose. The analysis of variance reveals that the communities' composition is highly significant at P<0.01, as well as the communities' behavior, but the interaction between community and composition is not significant (P>0.05). The herds were composed of 26% lone females, 21% nursing females, 21% crias, 16% pregnant females, 13% ancutas, 2% studs, and 1% geldings. In reproductive management, the community does not intervene aside from pasturing in different properties to practice rotation during the rainy season. The breed composition in the communities is highly significant at P>0.01; the herds are of predominantly q'ara stock (42%), with hybrids at 39%, t'ajalli at 13%, and others at 6%. In the age observations, the females (nursing, pregnant, and alone) are animals more than 5 years old. The opposite occurs with the males, which are very young due to the commercialization of high-quality llama meat. Birth rates in the communities are not significant at P<0.01. The average is 34.01% with a 16.58% coefficient of variation. The communities' mortality is significant at P<0.01 between the communities, having an average of 2.58% mortality among llama herds. The variance analysis of crias reaching 5 months old at P<0.01 is not significant. The average was 92.51% in the communities' herds. The llama herds do not totally belong to the families living in the communities. The combined llamas belong to brothers and/or children (who live in the cities), and in some cases the community member is simply a guardian.

Abstract:

This thesis analyses the central role of agricultural labour in the construction of personhood, landscape and work in an Andean ayllu. It is an ethnographic study based on fieldwork in a small subsistence farming village in the highlands of Bolivia. In employing a practice‐led approach and emphasising everyday labour, ambiguity and the realities of history and political power play, rather than the ayllu’s ‘core characteristics’ of complementarity and communality, the thesis moves away from the structuralist approaches which have dominated this field of study. In this setting, agricultural activity, llank’ay, (to transform the land), fills and shapes the days and seasons throughout the year. Llank’ay goes beyond economistic definitions of ‘work’ to include leisure, politics and everyday practice: it is bound up with myths of cosmogony, notions of value, the power of the land and a basic belief in what it is to be a human. The thesis examines the importance of llank’ay through several prisms: the tasks of the agricultural year and how these are crucial to the development of personhood; the mediating role of llank’ay in claims to land and inter‐village relationships of reciprocity; the effects of Protestant conversion and the role of llank’ay in sustaining an animate landscape; the intersection of llank’ay with other forms of work; migration and the outcomes of discontinuing llank’ay. I conclude that in this ayllu the practice of agricultural activity transforms people and land, creates belonging and communality and shapes the local concept of what labour is. It in turn creates the structures and limits within which people and land can be transformed.

L'objectif principal de cette étude est de comprendre la nature du système de parenté en rapport avec le reste de l'organisation sociale de la communauté d'Ura Ayllu, un village quechua (département de Puno, Pérou). Le projet d'étudier la parenté repose sur l'hypothèse que, comme pour d'autres populations, celle-ci était à la base du système social et des liens de solidarité les plus immédiats. Nous avons donc essayé d'étudier exhaustivement les relations de parenté dans leurs différents contextes: terminologies, généalogies, actes de mariage, étude des traditions et des cérémonies de mariage, parenté rituelle (ou fictive), etc. Nous interrogeant également sur la possibilité de découvrir des systèmes d'alliance, nous avons consulté et analysé tous les anciens actes de mariage (18ème et 19ème siècles) relatifs à la communauté. Nous nous sommes alors intéressés aux aspects démographiques (différentes statistiques faisant apparaître leurs évolutions entre 1996 et 2000), après avoir procédé à un recensement intégral des habitants d¹Ura Ayllu. Si nous n'avons pas découvert une théorie de parenté à proprement parler, ces données sont néanmoins révélatrices de la manière dont les habitants d'Ura Ayllu utilisent la parenté pour reproduire leurs moyens de production et, plus généralement, pour maintenir les principes andins de réciprocité : dans le but d'avoir accès aux différents écosystèmes et zones altitudinales de production, mais aussi pour faire face à certaines insuffisances - manque de terres cultivables et de force de travail - les familles nouent des liens entre elles grâce aux relations de réciprocité basées sur la parenté. Le modèle appelé "verticalité écologique" est donc aussi bien un modèle d'organisation sociale que de manipulation des terres disponibles<br>The purpose of this study is to understand the nature of the kinship system of Ura Ayllu, a highland village in the Peruvian Andes. This objective is based upon the hypothesis that kinship relations are basic for the understanding of social structure and social dynamics. It expresses the most immediate links of solidarity. Kinship is exhaustively examined in various relational contexts such as terminology, genealogy, analysis of marriage certificates, the study of marital traditions and ritual (or fictitious) kinship. Asking ourselves about the existence of systems of alliance, we consulted and analysed all Ura Ayllu marriage certificates dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Though we did not find alliance systems (as elementary structure in the Levi-Straussian sense of the terms), the examination of historical records reveals interesting demographic materials (various statistics showing evolutions between 1996 and 2000). A complete census of the inhabitants of Ura Ayllu community supplements this aspect of the study. Thus kinship strategies become apparent as well as the nature of Andean reciprocity. In order to have access to various ecosystems and to different production zones, as well as to fill lacks of arables lands and working force, families build up ties thanks to relations of reciprocity based upon kinship. The model called "ecological verticality" is therefore also a model of social organization and spatial manipulation of available lands

Abstract:

This thesis is based on fieldwork carried out in San Pablo de Lípez province, Bolivia. Through an examination of the history of the region, economic activities, ritual and oral histories, it seeks to understand the sorts of relations that have come to exist between a rural Andean group and the Bolivian nation-state and, in particular, the ways in which rural people understand themselves in the face of the state’s nation-building activities. The thesis is thus situated within the framework of studies of mestizaje, or of hybridity of peoples and cultures, and of nation-state and Indian in Latin America. The thesis proposes a model to account for the ways in which contemporary people in Sud Lípez understand themselves and others. This takes into account the historical dimension and attempts to avoid reifications of such groupings as ‘Indian’, mestizo and Spaniard, and of ethnic groups in the more abstract sense. Central to it is the concept of intertextuality, a term borrowed from linguistic theory and literary criticism that derives largely from Bakhtin’s ideas of dialogue. Intertextuality emphasises the heterogeneity of texts and the diverse elements from which they are made. The thesis is concerned primarily with discourses that surround categories of people. In contemporary Bolivia, such discourses include a current official discourse of pluralism and ethnic diversity which, it could be said, is in dialogue with ideas of homogenisation, assimilation of the Indian population, and the mestizo nation that became prominent following the National Revolution of 1952. This dialogue between contemporary discourses can be held to constitute a ‘horizontal axis’ of intertextuality. A ‘vertical axis’, which forms the context for the present-day dialogue, is in turn constituted by the discourses and dialogues surrounding categories of people throughout the colonial and early republican eras. The historical focus of the thesis allows a consideration of these past discourses. The central chapters of the thesis focus on the relation between discourse and material practices. Chapters 5 and 6 show how discourses concerning identity are reflected in everyday life in San Pablo. Chapters 7 and 8 concern ritual, and focus on local and national identity. These chapters start by attempting to divide rituals of the state from rituals of the locality and introduce the idea that people are cast as ‘consumers’ for rituals of the state, while they are the ‘producers’ of rituals of their own locality (c.f. de Certeau 1984). Ultimately, however, the chapters conclude that such a division is not as clear as it might at first appear, and that it is not a simple matter to separate productive from consumptive practices and the tactics of consumers from the strategies of producers. The chapters end by suggesting that local people have a greater degree of agency than the initial model allowed, and with the proposition that through ritual they produce a locality (Appadurai 1995) that incorporates belonging to the nation. The thesis concludes that agency is essential to the process through which the people of San Pablo arrive at an understanding of themselves and the nation-state. Agency enables them to put themselves beyond the categories that others imagine, that is, to adopt a strategy of making themselves indeterminate. Local people may inherit discourses from the past, and are aware of those of the present, but they do not merely adhere to them, nor do they simply rearrange their elements. They may adopt elements from the different discourses that surround them, but in so doing, they transform them.

Abstract:

En Bolivie, si les victoires électorales d’Evo Morales - le premier président « indigène » du pays - ont confirmé la force du mouvement rural bolivien, celui-ci ne reste pas moins divisé. Dans les Andes, l’organisation indigène des ayllus affronte l’organisation paysanne syndicale pour le contrôle et la définition du monde rural. La recherche présentée ici analyse ce dualisme organisationnel dans la région du Nord Potosi, à partir du concept d’« économie morale » et de l’étude de la communauté « paysanne-indigène ». La recherche accorde un rôle central au travail de terrain réalisé, tant au niveau régional qu’au niveau local avec l’étude de cas de l’ayllu Chiro, sans oublier les connexions avec le national et l’international. Elle a pour objectif de comprendre les facteurs historiques et structurels de ce dualisme, mais aussi d’analyser les constructions actuelles des catégories sociales « paysanne » et « indigène ». Le dualisme s’amplifie en effet avec l’intégration à l’économie de marché et de la société dominante autour de la gestion de la main d'œuvre et des ressources naturelles. Il s’amplifie aussi avec l’émergence de nouveaux leaders au sein des organisations sociales, qui jouent le rôle d’« intermédiaires » entre la communauté et la société environnante. Formés dans les écoles et institutions de la société environnante, ces leaders sont entrés dans une lutte au sein des différents champs du pouvoir pour représenter le monde rural autant que pour le définir. De cette dynamique, se construit une « frontière symbolique » entre les deux organisations, dont la finalité est la conquête du pouvoir politique et la gestion des projets de développement<br>Evo Morales’s electoral victories - the first “indigenous” president of Bolivia - have confirmed the power of the bolivien rural movement, but it’s still stays divided. In the Andes, the Ayllus indigenous organization fights against the rural union organization for the control and the definition of the rural world. The researches analyse here this organizational dualism in the Northern Potosi, thought the “moral economy” concept and the study of the “peasant-indigenous” community. The investigation is mainly based on the fieldwork done, in the regional area, the local case of Chiro Ayllu, and the national and international connexions. Its Goal is to understand here the historical and structural processes of this dualism and analyse the actual constructions of the social categories of “peasant” and “indigenous”.The dualism is growing with the integration to the market economy and to the dominant society about the management of the Labor and natural resources. It also grows with the emergence of new leaders in the social organization, wich plays a role of intermediate between the community and the global society. Educated in shools and institutions of global society, those leaders started a a fight in different space of power to represent and define the rural world. A “symbolic boundary” between the two organizations is building from this actions, which the finality is the conquest of the politic power and the management of the development projects

Abstract:

En el mundo, los Estados transforman el uso de su territorio a través de proyectos de infraestructura con la promesa de generar mayor desarrollo para el país. Sin embargo, tal proceso acarrea costos sociales locales, pues las poblaciones —usualmente marginales— que habitan los territorios de interés para el Estado se ven obligadas a abandonarlos al no poder reproducir sus actividades tradicionales. Si bien los Estados poseen grandes capacidades para promover los mencionados proyectos, aún carecen de mecanismos institucionales suficientes como para evitar impactos locales. Si bien los conflictos sociales son respuestas frecuentes a esta incapacidad, en un nivel general el avance del Estado es exitoso. La presente investigación busca responder a cómo se construye el vínculo entre los funcionarios públicos y la población en riesgo, para legitimar la transformación del territorio e invisibilizar los costos sociales del proceso. Argumentamos que el uso del discurso del desarrollo es un instrumento disponible para ganar legitimidad. El caso elegido es el reasentamiento del asentamiento humano «El Ayllu», a causade la ampliación del aeropuerto internacional Jorge Chávez en el Callao, Perú.

Si bien este avance sistemáticamente implica la reubicación forzada de la población con resultados frecuentemente negativos, no deja de sorprendernos que en muchos casos este desplazamiento no produzca una respuesta en la población afectada que sirva para cuestionarlo. El presente trabajo de investigación tomo como base el proyecto ejecutado bajo la modalidad de administración directa: “instalación del servicio de alcantarillado en la comunidad campesina de Qosqo Ayllu, Distrito De San Salvador - Calca - Cusco” en donde se seleccionaron 04 partidas, las cuales además de su influencia presupuestaria son partidas que continuamente se repiten en la gran mayoría de obras de saneamiento. El trabajo consta de 04 capítulos: Capitulo I, Aspectos Generales en donde se muestra el objetivo general y los objetivos específicos del presente trabajo de investigación. Capitulo II, Antecedentes y Marco Teórico referente al trabajo de investigación. Capitulo III, Marco Referencial Diagnóstico de la situación actual del caso práctico y del Saneamiento en nuestro país, Capitulo IV: Puesta en Valor, en donde se muestra la situación actual del proyecto respecto a la ejecución de las partidas seleccionadas y la toma de datos implementando una metodología de gestión, Capítulo V, conclusiones y recomendaciones se concluye que un análisis adecuado en la ejecución de partidas generaran mejoras en tiempos y en consecuencia de presupuesto.<br>This research work is based on the project executed under the direct administration modality: "Installation of sewerage service in the community of Qosqo Ayllu, District Of San Salvador - Calca - Cusco" where 04 items were selected, which In addition to its budgetary influence are items that are continuously repeated in the vast majority of sanitation works. The work consists of 04 chapters: Chapter I, General Aspects where the general objective and the specific objectives of this research work are shown. The research for this thesis took place in Pampajasi, a neighborhood of La Paz, between 2006 and 2007. It included participating observation, interviews and focus groups with the first and second generation migrants to La Paz that constitute most of the membership ofthe CAUP, as well as interviews with non-members. Abstract:

Video is a large part of today’s society where surveillance cameras represent the biggest source of big data, and real-time entertainment is the largest network traffic category. There is currently a large interest in analysing the contents of video where video analysis is mainly conducted by people. This increase in video has for instance made it difficult for professional editors to analyse movies and series in a scalable way, and alternative solutions are needed. The media technology company June, want to explore scalable alternatives for extracting metadata from video. With recent advances in Machine Learning and the rise of machine-learning-asa-service platforms, June wished more specifically to explore how these Machine Learning services can be utilised for extracting metadata from videos, and from it construct a summary regarding its contents. This work examined Machine Learning as an option for scalable video summarisation which resulted in developing and evaluating an application that utilised transcription, summarisation, and translation services to produce a text based summarisation of video. Furthermore to examine the services current state of affairs, multiple services from different providers were tested, evaluated and compared to each other. Lastly, in order to evaluate the summarisation services an evaluation model was developed. The test results showed that the translation services were the only service that produced good results. Transcription and summarisation performed poorly in the tests which renders the suggested solution of combining the three services for video summarisation as impractical.<br>Video är en stor del av dagens samhälle där bland annat övervakningskameror är den största källan av data och underhållning i realtid är den kategori som står för mest nätverkstrafik. Det finns i dagsläget ett stort intresse i att analysera innehållet av video, denna videoanalys utförs även främst av människor. Ökningen av video har gjort det svårt för exempelvis professionella redaktörer att hinna analysera filmer och serier och mer skalbara alternativ behövs. Mediaföretaget June vill utforska alternativ för att extrahera metadata från video på ett skalbart sätt. Med de senaste framstegen inom maskininlärning och framväxten av machine-learningas-a-service plattformar, önskar June mer specifikt att utforska hur maskininlärning kan nyttjas för att extrahera metadata från video och med det konstruera en sammanfattning av innehållet. Det utförda arbetet undersökte maskininlärning som skalbart alternativ för att kunna sammanfatta videos innehåll. Arbetet resulterade i utvecklandet samt utvärderingen av en applikation som nyttjade maskininlärningstjänster för transkribering, sammanfattning samt översättning för att producera en textbaserad sammanfattning av videos innehåll. För att utvärdera tjänsternas nuvarande tillstånd så testades samt utvärderades tjänster från olika leverantörer för att sedan jämföras mot varandra. Slutligen framtogs en egenutvecklad modell för att kunna utvärdera tjänsterna för sammanfattning. Testresultaten visade att tjänsterna för översättning var de enda tjänsterna som gav bra resultat. Tjänsterna för transkribering och sammanfattning gav dåliga resultat vilket gör den föreslagna lösningen av att kombinera de tre tjänsterna för att sammanfatta videoinnehåll som opraktisk.
