Abstract:

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan sifat keliyanan pada tokoh perempuan dalam novel Saman karya Ayu Utami. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data yang berasal dari novel Saman karya Ayu Utami yang diterbitkan oleh KPG (Kepustakaan Populer Gramedia). Data dalam penelitiaan ini adalah berupa kalimat, paragraf, kutipan-kutipan dialog, dan wacana yang diperoleh dari hasil membaca dan menandani novel. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi dalam Novel Saman karya Ayu Utami. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis model interaktif, seperti yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sifat keliyanan pada tokoh perempuan dalam Novel Saman Karya Ayu Utami yang meliputi (1) eksploitasi, (2) ego, (3) mashokisme, (4) erotic, dan (5) eurotamania.

Abstract:

Salah satu penulis yang memiliki pola pikir yang kritis di Indonesia adalah Justina Ayu Utami atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama pena Ayu Utami. Penulis dari novel terbarunya Anatomi Rasa (2019) ini telah membuktikan eksistensinya di dunia tulis menulis. Dalam novel Anatomi Rasa yang mengangkat tentang kebathinan Jawa atau yang dikenal dengan Kejawen. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adlaah mengenai bagaimana pesan yang ingin disampaikan oleh Ayu sebagai penulis kepada pembaca, dimana Kebathinan Jawa sendiri memiliki makna yang bias atau luas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kebathinan Jaw ayang disampaikan oleh Ayu adalah bagaiamna cara mengolah rasa sehingga seseorang dapat lebih mendekatkan diri kepada sang pencipta dan bermeditasi untuk menanggulangi atas segala hal yang kurang baik dalam kehidupan. Selain itu, Ayu juga menjelaskan tahap – tahap dalam bermeditasi dan fungsi dari tiap tahap tersebut.

Abstract:

Sex, Sin and Marriage: Feminists in Patriarchal Culture, Religious Values and the Struggle for the Equality, is a study conducted on the novel Eks Parasit Lajang by Justina Ayu Utami. The approach of this research is qualitative with Critical Analysis of Frankfrut School method through four levels of analysis: Totality, Awareness, Alienation and Criticism. The results of this study show that in the level of totality, Ayu Utami sees the problems experienced by character A as a problem that not only comes from herself, but also from her family who embrace Patriarchal culture, religious values, and also the values come from the society. In the level of Awareness, Ayu Utami sees that the world is constructed by men, and marriage as a mean of legitimizing power (patriarchal); in the level of Alienation, Ayu Utami is alienated from the concept of the church which is considered problematic; about herself and her sexual organs; about the values of women and marriage, until she decides to "take off the Cross's necklace" and ends up "deciding not to have any religion". In the Criticism level, Ayu Utami criticizes her religion’s "Holy Book", Patriarchal culture and also criticizes on the State regulations which she considers unfair especially in marriage arrangement as well as the society values which are considered confining and disadvantaging women, but not for men.

Abstract:

Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh deskripsi secara keseluruhan kecenderungan tema dan tingkatan temayang ada dalam novel Saman karya Ayu Utami dan novel Nayla karya Djenar Maesa Ayu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis tema penelitian ini, dimaksudkan dapat memberikan wawasan baru bahwa kedua novel ini tidak hanya membahas masalah eksploitasi seksual saja, tetapi juga mengungkapkan permasalahan lain yang lebih kompleks. Kesimpulannya secara kuantitas kemunculan peristiwa, kategori tingkatan tema yang utama dalam kedua novel ini adalah tema tingkat sosial.

Sumber data adalah tiganovel karya Ayu Utami, yaitu Bilangan Fu, Manjali dan Cakrabirawa, dan Maya. Hasilpenelitian sebagai berikut. First, the three novels portray characters’ struggleagainst patriarchy power over nature, environment, and women in the Sewugunung parkarea and the Calwanarang temple site in the New Order era. AbstrakElemen seksual dalam novel Saman karya Ayu Utami masih sering dijustifikasi melalui nilai-nilai kesusilaan yang merupakan bagian dari dunia simbol. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang membahas karya tersebut dalam perspektif psikoanalisis-historis Slavoj Žižek. Metode psikoanalisis historis digunakan untuk melihat elemen seksual dalam karya Ayu Utami secara berbeda. Data dikumpulkan melalui pembacaan secara teliti dan berulang terhadap novel Saman untuk menemukan frasa, kalimat, paragraf, dan wacana yang memuat kualitas-kualitas subjek dialektis Slavoj Žižek. Data tersebut kemudian direlasikan untuk menentukan posisi subjek sebagai subjek radikal atau sebaliknya berdasarkan konsepsi pembentukan subjek radikal Žižek, yaitu konstruksi dunia simbolik-momen kekosongan-tindakan radikal-terbentuknya subjek radikal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tokoh dalam novel Saman, yaitu Laila dan Wisanggeni memiliki hasrat seksual yang lepas dari dominasi simbolik sehingga melakukan tindakan radikal. Melalui aktivitas seksual yang didorong hasrat yang murni tersebut, kedua tokoh tersebut memasuki momen kekosongan. Proses tersebut menyebabkan tokoh Laila dan Wisanggeni menjadi subjek radikal yang telah keluar dari dunia simbolik. Oleh karena itu, keberadaan subjek radikal dalam sebuah novel dapat dikatakan sebagai sebuah retakan dunia simbolik seksualitas yang secara ontologis konsisten. Kata kunci: seksualitas, tindakan radikal, psikoanalisis-historis Abstract The sexual element in “Saman” by Ayu Utami frequently is justified by the value of decency which becomes a part of the symbolic world. This study is descriptive research that discusses the novel from Slavoj Žižek’s historical-psychoanalysis perspective. The historical-psychoanalysis method consents to uncover the sexual element in the novel by Ayu Utami differently. Data collected through reading carefully and respectively of Saman novel are done to find out the phrases, sentences, paragraphs, and discourses that contain qualities of Slavoj Žižek’s dialectic subject. Collected data are then related to determining subject position as the radical subject or otherwise considering the construction of the symbolic world-ex nihilio- radical act-radical subject. The result of this research reveals that Laila and Wisanggeni characters in the novel of Saman have a sexual desire separated from symbolic dominance, and its practice becomes a radical act. Through sexual activity driven by passion, they enter the moment of the void. The process caused the figure of Laila and Wisanggeni to be a radical subject that has been out of the symbolic world. Therefore, the existence of a radical subject in a novel can be said to be a maligned symbolic world of sexuality ontologically consistent. Tujuan artikel ini adalah menjelaskan perang gender yang tercermin dalam novel karya pengarang- pengarang perempuan Indonesia dari generasi Ayu Utami. Perang gender adalah “dendam abadi” pengarang-pengarang perempuan terhadap pengarang laki-laki yang, sampai sekarang, mengeksploitasi tubuh perempuan dengan besar-besaran dan memaksa mereka untuk membaca tubuhnya sendiri dari sudut pandang laki-laki. Melalui teks erotis sebagai bahasa ekspresi, pengarang perempuan mampu menulis tubuh mereka dengan sudut pandangnya sendiri. Abstract: This paper has the objective of explaining the gender struggle implied in the novels of Indonesian female authors of Ayu Utami generation. The gender struggle is female author’s “eternal enmity” towards male authors who, up till now, have greatly exploited woman’s body and force them to read their own body from the male point of view. Abstract:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ketidakadilan gender dalam novel Cerita Cinta Enrico karya Ayu Utami dengan menggunakan kajian sastra feminis dan mendeskripsikan bahan ajar pada mata kuliah kritik sastra di perguruan tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif jenis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa teknik dokumentasi dan teknik pustaka. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Cerita Cinta Enrico. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bentuk-bentuk ketidakadilan gender dalam novel Cerita Cinta Enrico yang terdapat dalam beberapa bagian yang meliputi: (1) bentuk ketidakadilan gender dari aspek subordinasi, (2) bentuk ketidakadilan gender dari aspek stereotipe atau pelabelan negatif, (3) bentuk ketidakadilan gender dari aspek kekerasan, (4) ketidakadilan gender dari aspek beban kerja ganda. Hasil analisis dari novel Cerita Cinta Enrico karya Ayu Utami sudah memenuhi kriteria untuk dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar pada mata kuliah Kritik Sastra di perguruan tinggi. Beberapa aspek untuk memilih bahan pengajaran sastra dengan tepat yaitu dilihat dari segi bahasa, psikologi, dan latar belakang budaya yang terdapat pada novel Cerita Cinta Enrico karya Ayu Utami.
