This paper concerns with two brominated bacteriostatic agents, using the condition-test to research the inhibitory effect of the microorganisms in the waste paper pulp white water. Using the coated plate culture method of adding different amounts of antibacterial agents in Whitewater, the bacteria and mold in nutrient agar and potato medium experiments were used to observe the inhibitory effect. The results showed that the chosen brominated bacteriostatic agents (PS-2890, GB-3612) in this paper have a better antibacterial effect and 1#is better than 2#,the bacteriostatic agent can be chosen ac

Mangalia balneary resort is situated in the south of the Black Sea and uses sulphurous water springs for rehabilitation therapy. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effectiveness of Mangalia sulphurous water on Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) infection. Considering that sulfurous water has a bacteriostatic effect and that most gastritis are caused by H. Pylori infection, we propose that a group of 27 H. Pylori positive patients with or without digestive symptoms ingest sulfurous water daily, for a few days. At the end of the study, 15 of the patients tested negative for H pylori an

Paulownia leaf extracts were tested for their bacteriostatic and antioxidant properties against six pathogenic bacteria in vegetable and fruit crops. Paulownia leaf extracts were most effective against the Clavibacter michiganensis ssp. michiganensis and Xanthomonas hortorum pv. carotae. Paulownia extracts were less effective against Agrobacterium tumefaciens, Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans and Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato. Only Erwinia carotovora was resistant to the tested plant extracts. The type of extraction solvent significantly impacts the antibacterial activity and the flavonoi

Sulfate-reducing bacteria (Desulfomicrobium baculatum) is a group of anaerobic bacteria capable of producing H2S gas, which sours crude oil, corrodes metal equipment, pipeline systems, and even forms biofilms that cause blockages reservoir, reducing the reception capacity of pumped water in oil and gas exploitation. Currently, the biocides are mainly aldehydes or cyclic amines combined with cationic active substances, which are very toxic to humans and the environment. The intrusion of pathogens into ballast water, not only destroys marine ecological environment, but also threatens human health. The study synthesized a new cobalt complex with a ligand of 3-pyridine-4-benzoic acid by hydrothermal synthesis method. Its structure was characterized by elemental analyzer and single crystal diffractometer, and its infrared spectroscopy, thermal stability and inhibitory activity were analyzed. The results show that the complex belongs to the monoclinic system and space group C2 / c, with unit cell parameters a = 8.2484 (9) Å, b = 10.3371 (11) Å, c = 12.2031 (14)

They sell the sweetener compounded with maltodextrin and dextrose under the brand name Splenda®. Sucralose was developed as a low cost artificial sweetener that is non-metabolizable in humans and can withstand changes in pH and temperature. It is not degraded by the waste water treatment process. Abstract In order to prevent biological corrosion of cement compound containing radioactive waste, it is proposed to use biocidal additives of polyhexamethyleneguanidines (PHMG), which have a wide range of biocidal activity. It has been shown that inclusion of biocidal additives of polyhexamethyleneguanidines in quantities 0,25–2% wt. into the grout used for the solidification of radioactive waste (RW) or for recovering the integrity of old RW repositories provides the necessary bacteriostatic and biocidal protection of cement compound and improves all the regulated properties — compression st

Abstract Biodiesel blend is one of the multiple solutions that will contribute reaching the Carbon Footprint Reduction ambitions of the marine activities. However, field experience has shown issues with the use of FAME due to its hydroscopic behavior, resulting in filter blocking, increase of maintenance, injectors fouling… These issues are mainly linked to microbiological contamination. The objective of this test is to mitigate the risk of using biodiesel blends in small-scale vessels, representative of fishing and Exploration & Production activities, i.e. with engines from 150kW to 7 MW.
