Abstract:
This paper presents the results of an experimental investigation carried out to evaluate the shrinkage of High Strength Concrete. High Strength Concrete is made by partially replacement of cement by flyash and silica fume. The shrinkage of High Strength Concrete has been studied using the different types of coarse and fine aggregates i.e. Sandstone and Granite of 12.5 mm size and Yamuna and Badarpur Sand. The Mix proportion of concrete is 1:0.8:2.2 with water cement ratio as 0.30. Superplasticizer dose @ of 2% by weight of cement is added to achieve the required degree of workability in terms

Abstract:
On farm trials were conducted for two year to evaluate the effect of soil test based site specific nutrient management (SSNM) vis-a-vis other farmers practice on rice (Oryza sativa L.) and wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) productivity in villages of Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) and Faridabad (Haryana). Results revealed that the SSNM led to significant increase in grain yield of rice and wheat crops in both the years as compared to the state recommended NPK fertilizer treatment and farmers practices. On an average, SSNM increased the grain yield of rice crop by 19.9% and 14.9% at Partapur and Badarpur

Abstract:
The most important geotechnical structures are the foundations, which transfer the load to the soil subgrade from the superstructures. The load carrying capacity of the soil per unit area is known as bearing capacity, based on which the foundation of structures is designed. There are mainly three factors on which present calculations of bearing capacity of a soil is based on. These are Nc, Nq and Nγ which depends on internal friction angle (φ) of soil. Various researchers reveal that the failure surface below footing for general shear failure is divided into rigid zone and shear zone. There a
