Abstract:
The Baduy Luar tribe is one of the many tribes in Indonesia that produces garments in the form of woven fabrics they create. In the course of its development, the weaving of the Baduy Luar Tribe was gifted by the cultural anguish of the Baduy Tribe, who always respect the universe and nature that they preserve, which is part of the Pikukuh Karuhun that they carry out as adherents of Sunda Wiwitan. Pikukuh Karuhun is a way of life for the Baduy Tribe and is applied thoroughly in their lives, including woven fabrics made by the Baduy Luar Tribe. The woven fabrics of the Baduy Luar have gone through various developments, including the use of additional tools and manufacturing techniques using songket, which is used to make motifs and decorations on woven fabrics, and synthetic threads as a substitute material used to make woven fabrics. In addition to the development they have made of the woven fabrics they make, the Baduy Luar Tribe creates several cloth motifs that become the identity of the Baduy Luar Tribe and distinguish it from the Baduy Dalam Tribe, whose ancestors they respect and obey. The Baduy Luar tribe also instills their philosophy of life in some of the woven fabrics they make so that they have sacred values for the Baduy Luar tribe, such as the Adu Mancung weaving, which is specifically for the traditional events they carry out.

The Baduy community is a tribe originating from the interior of Banten and living in Kenakes Village, Leuwidar, Lebak, Banten. The Baduy community is a tribe that has not been affected by modern culture and still obeys the rules that apply in their place of residence. The Baduy people do not want to accept a new culture and deliberately alienate themselves from outside life to avoid modernization as a way for them to respect their ancestors so that the balance and harmony of the universe can be maintained. The Baduy tribe is divided into two parts, namely the Inner Baduy and Outer Baduy who live in crowded settlements. The striking difference between the two tribes is that the Inner Baduy people have not been touched by technology and modernization at all, while the Outer Baduy people.

The Baduy tribe is very closed because they carry out the mandate outlined by their ancestors, namely in the form of a simple lifestyle, away from modern cultural influences and presenting themselves in the way of life carried out by their ancestors without changing it. The consequence of this makes the Baduy tribe very little touched by the progress and rapid development. Abstract:
Modernization is the change or rather the process of changing traditional society into a modern society. Modernization has the main goal of improving the welfare of the general public, by improving several socio-cultural aspects that exist in society. Our country, Indonesia is an archipelago that has around 17 thousand islands and there are still islands that do not have their identity, with as many islands as Indonesia has a population of nearly 280 million people and has a variety of ethnic and cultural diversity. Moreover, the customs or habits of each community in Indonesia must be diverse and will certainly continue to develop as the times progress. But not all follow the times, there are still some areas in Indonesia that still hold tightly to their customs to this day. One of them is found in the inland area of Lebak Regency, Banten Province. Namely the Baduy tribe, from several videos that I saw, I tried to explain the Baduy customary law and culture in detail as the community changes there due to modernization. The Baduy tribe has a lot of uniqueness that we can learn and apply in our lives. The Baduy tribe is different from the tribes in Indonesia, the Baduy tribe is very difficult to accept modernization that has developed until now, therefore the Baduy tribe is divided into two settlement groups, namely Baduy Dalam and Baduy Baduy.

Abstract:
This social service discusses cross-cultural communication between the Baduy people and tourists from different cultural backgrounds. The constant meeting of people from different cultural backgrounds affects both sides. The Baduy tribe is one of the tribes that still defends itself from the influence of modernity. They live around the Kendeng Mountains, Kanekes Village, Leuwidamar District, Lebak and Banten Regencies. Tourists from various cultural backgrounds continue to come to visit the Baduy tribe. In a long process, the Baduy tribe has adapted to a situation where their lives are closely related to travelers. However, the proximity and intercultural communication that emerged brought change to the Baduy people, whether they realized it or not. The results of community service during Baduy observation activities and interviews obtained information from outside the Baduy, the Baduy Regional Government, tourists and researchers. Cultural differences between Baduy and tourists can be considered as a fact, and verbal and non-verbal communication is a phenomenon that can be found. This phenomenon is the result of continuous and long-lasting intercultural communication. Some of the existing obstacles change the behavior of the Baduy people

Indonesia is a region that has thousands of islands spread out with different regional characteristics so that it has various tribes and cultures. various social habits, culture and customs of society in Indonesia will always experience developments in accordance with the times. Modernization aims to create a prosperous society. Modernization is one of the causes of social and cultural change. Modernization is the process of changing from a traditional society to a more advanced or modern society. However, not all regions prioritize modernization and forget their customs. This is proven by the fact that there are still regions in Indonesia that still today maintain their customs and culture from the reach of the outside and modern world. For example, the Baduy tribe in the Lebak district, Banten, still maintains and preserves their original culture. The rapid development of the times causing modernization is of course also felt by the Baduy tribe, more precisely by the Baduy community outside. The purpose of this writing is to explain the influence of modernization on the Outer Baduy tribe. The method used in this research is literature study.

Marine power machinery parts are key equipments in ships. Ships always work in rigorous conditions such as offshore, heavy load, et cetera. Therefore, the failures in marine power machinery would badly threaten the safety of voyages. Keeping marine power machineries running reliably is the guarantee of voyage safety. For the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of marine power machinery system, this study established the systemic condition identification approach for the tribo-system of marine power machinery and developed integrated diagnosis method by combining on-line and off-line ways for marine power machinery. Lastly, the remote fault diagnosis system was developed for practical application in marine power machinery, which consists of monitoring system in the ship, diagnosis system in laboratory centre, and maintenance management & maintenance decision support system.
