Signalling through the BAFF receptor (BAFFR) is critical for the development and survival of B cells. The binding of BAFF to BAFFR leads to the recruitment and subsequent degradation of TRAF3, which results in the accumulation of NIK and induction of signalling through the non-canonical NFκB pathway. La leucémie lymphoi͏̈de chronique B (LLC-B) est due à l'accumulation de lymphocytes B ayant une apoptose déficiente. La NOS-II exprimée par ces cellules produit du NO qui y joue un rôle anti-apoptotique. Nous avons montré que le resvératrol et des dérivés polyphénols, ainsi que le flavopiridol, exercent une activité apoptotique sur les LLC-B, corrélée à une inhibition de la NOS-II et une diminution de production de NO. The proper differentiation and survival of human peripheral immature B cells relies on two critical signaling pathways: B cell receptor (BCR) signaling and the B cell activating factor (BAFF)/BAFF-receptor (BAFF-R) signaling axis. Autoimmune Polyendocrine Syndrome Type 1(APS I) is a monogenic autosomal recessive autoimmune disorder which is the result of mutations in the autoimmune regulator (AIRE) gene. Symptoms of the disease include circulation of multiple organ specific autoantibodies, which leads to the breakdown of several tissues, including the adrenal cortex and the parathyroid glands.
