Full textThe province of Bagua, in the Amazon region, bases the operation of its economy on agricultural activity, with emphasis on the cultivation of coffee, cocoa and rice. For this reason, it’s proposed to repower the products with the different long-term objectives, ranging from the improvement in their productivity to the increase of their quality and, to increase the income of the producers to define the economy of the area and close the gaps in education and health of the province. All under a policy to respect the environment that translates into the goal of reducing the amount of wastewater discharged into rivers without treatment. The five strategies proposed were raised from a comprehensive assessment of the actual situation of Bagua, which includes a critical and systematic analysis of the determining factors of success, both internally and of its environment. The evaluation process has considered strategic aspects which include the analysis of opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses, as well as ethical and legal aspects. Thus, in the vision proposed to the year 2030, the human development index is expected to be at least 0.5, thanks to the strengthening of crops and raised with facilities such as the creation of a municipal agricultural nursery that ensures the safety of products and strengthening agricultural extension services to improve agricultural practices by increasing production and reducing the cost of crops

Full textSituated in eastern algeria, batna is in a strategic position for travel. It's geographical situation in particular attracted the interest of france at the time of colonization. So batna was founded in 1844 by colonel buttafoco more for strategic aims than for its agricultural qualities. After independance the state of algeria gave it an important place in its socio-economic policy. It was chosen as one of the principal poles for development. This policy has caused the area around batna to be centred on batna, with this town functioning as an important centre for administrative, socioeconomic and political affairs and for services

Full textThis strategic planning for the Province of Bagua has been developed aligned to the methodology proposed by D’Alessio (2016). Long-term objectives are proposed for the year 2030, as a development plan that seeks to improve the competitiveness of the province and reach national scope and international notoriety through its main current and future economic activities. According to the 2007 Census, the main economic activity of the Province of Bagua is agriculture and has not reached adequate technical development yet. The main trade derived from this activity is the commerce of products in the form of grains such as coffee, cocoa and rice. Another activity such as tourism is at an initial stage, which is very low due to the lack of infrastructure and very poor quality of service, moreover the lack of promotion and advertising. In regard to the long-term objectives of 2030, they have considered to increased the productivity of cocoa and coffee by more than double their current performance; boost Bagua within the top 10 of provinces with the largest number of tourists; improve their percentage of satisfactory level in reading comprehension from 10.5% up to 43.15%; and Bagua by 2030 will produce value-added cacao products from 0% nowadays up to 75% of the total cacao production, getting to be inside the top five of provinces leading the exportation of them. To achieve these long-term objectives, a set of short-term goals are proposed, and they are based on strategies that will impact and improve Bagua’s current situation, promoting the development of agriculture, tourism sector an education for the walfare of its citizens.

Full textThe objective of this study is a reflection about visions and methodological approaches to analyse more specifically guinean traditional art. In fact, masks and sculptures formed, realised, used, transformed and or neglected by the nalu and the baga of guinea can permit a better acknowledgment of the history and the social context of these two tribe. Items of cult at the beginning, masks and sculptures were first known as simple curiosity before becoming an "objet d'art", wellknown outside. Many regards were glanced at them: colonial figure, origin of new discipline, theorical reflection in history of art, anthropology, philosophy. . . , research and methodological approaches adapted to every african tribe. Nalu and baga example of guinea offer a very good experimentation to day. After defining the geographical and historical context, 32 sculptures selected for the study are presented of their formal aspect, in the museum with conditions of collect or acquisition. On the field, theses sculptures have a basic place because there are for the searcher material source of information and for the users evidence of a lost civilisation and sociological indicators for the present and the future

The conservation of elderberry juice is one of the main challenges of Indumape. Elderberry concentrate juice showed a total soluble solids of 65º Brix, pH 4.49, the acidity was 2 % (w/w, citric acid eq.), turbidity 1608 NTU, monomeric anthocyanins 10 g/L (cyanidin 3-glucoside eq.), and 30 g/L reducing sugars (glucose eq.). The objective of the work developed at Indumape was to evaluate the conservation of elderberry concentrate at the microbiological level, anthocyanin content and physico-chemical properties during storage time at different temperatures (-18, 8 and 25ºC). Refrigeration and freezing of the elderberry juice allowed to minimize physical chemical changes along the forth months of storage. Aiming to evaluate the conservation of juice concentrate at room temperature the effect of different contents (10, 25 and 50 ppm) of SO2 was tested. Along the storage the most significant change was the decrease of level of monomeric anthocyanins, either with the addition of SO2 or without the addition of this antimicrobial agent. These results showed that the SO2 bound the anthocyanins preventing its antimicrobial activity. Under the evaluated conditions, the room temperature storage was not a reliable option for this juice concentrate. The quantification of ethanol in the elderberry juice stored at room temperature at the end of the first month was 1,37% (V / V), being lower for the SO2 addition, 1,18%, 0,60% and 0,08% (V /V) for 10, 25 and 50 ppm SO2, respectively. These results showed that higher SO2 concentrations may have an antimicrobial effect, allowing the storage of elderberry juice concentrate at room temperature.

Full textIn France the 19th century was a period of technical and social revolutions announcing the modern world. Law, particulary the criminal law and the penitentiary question had to be reconsidered. Using the colonies as penal deportation territories allowed the Imperial and Republican lawmakers to keep the "undesiderable" convicts away from the homeland favouring the population by this penal element. The criminal law was strengthened by the Act of 30th May 1854 establishing the transport of convicts sentenced to Hard Labour and by the Act of 27th May 1885 with relegation of recidivists. These arrangements previously applied to political convicts (simple deportation and deportation in fortifications) were added to the Penal Code. The judiciary custom in the 19th century was marked by a real predilection for penal exile. The penal settlements marked the collective consciousness during nearly 2 centuries, the penal colonies constitued a certain side of penal history. Today at the beginning of the 21st century what is left? Historically how did these penal colonies appear? What was the evolution in the Penal Code? Which are remains in our present legislation? Nowadays at the beginning of the 3rd millenium imprisonment represents the principal sentence, does the possibility- the risk- the resurgence- always exist using these ancient punishments?

Full textTitle : Saying the unsayable. The prison of Tazmamart, between testimony and fictionKeywords: prison literature, fiction, testimony, untold, History/story.Summary :In 1999, the unveiling of the horrors of the Moroccan political regime bewildered public opinion in the country. The existence of such a juvenile detention structure, namely Tazmamart penal colony, led to the condemnation of that regime which imprisoned people in dreadful conditions in narrow underground cells for more than eighteen years. Several years later, some former detainees gave testimonies as to their experience in that penal colony. Furthermore, activist-intellectuals and writers wrote about that dreadful experience obscure period, giving an account of life in prison. The aim of this study is to shed light upon the similarities and differences between testimony and fiction. The primary corpus around which the reflexion this thesis revolves, is based on the following literary books: Firstly, Tazmamart, cellule 10 written by Ahmed Marzouki (2000). Secondly, La Chienne de Tazmamart by Abdelhak Serhane (2001). And finally, Aziz Binebine’s Tazmamort, dix-huit ans dans le bagne de Hassan II (2009). Dealing with “prison literature”, we had to extend the scope of our researches and our Moroccan historical perspectives about past incarcerations which also led to many writings. Thus, as secondary sources, we included works of Abraham Aferki and Mohamed Al Achaari (1982). Furthermore, those of Christine Daure-Serfaty and Abraham Serfaty, both having been published the same year, that is in 1992. Literary artworks of Malika Oufkir, Michèle Fitoussi, Saïda Menebhi, Midhat René Bourequat, published in 2000 and Fatna el Bouih in 2002. Also, those of Abdellatif Laâbi published in 1982, 2003 and 2005, and Abdelhak Serhane in 2004. In order to study the notion of the “untold” in literature, this thesis will tend to analyze testimonies dealt with in those works. The latter intends to propose a reflexion on the generic choice to reflect on and to give an account of the prison environment and its representations. The testimony, including the one based on real facts and the one based on fiction – appears as an action, a deed, or better, as a requirement of today’s society. The fictional story develops different strategies to foil the reality putting words on what can’t be uttered. The penal colony is not limited to the acknowledgement of past historical events, but also asks important questions from ethical, aesthetical, political and sociological points of view. Writing on the Tazmamart penal colony tends to question values upon which humanity is founded

Full textThrough understanding the importance of meat ; which here is not only economic and dietetic, but also social and ritual ; the investigations undertaken aim to show which economic policy, regarding the algerian experiment, allows the importance of meat to be given more value, and to reply to an increasing demand which never ends, despite breathtabinghy high prices (as is the case during the celebration'aid el kebir'). This the first part shows, through analysing the dynamics of the supply and the demand for meat, that the adjustment is essentially made through the prices. Therefore an important number of the population observes that it's pratical contribution is becoming less and less, despite state intervention. The second part explains, through studying the case at batna, the way the distribution and production systems function, and also explains their ability to meet the demand of the market. Finally, the analysis of the policy for the development of animal production approves of the current economic policy

Full textThe character of convict is omnipresent in French literature of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The representation of the world of hard labor in metropolitan and colonial prisons is at the crossroads of the broader representation of crime in the nineteenth century, according to a concomitant historical development with colonial expansion. The miscellaneous news, these little newsletters launched continually on the city, change the way of perceiving crime. Obeying a specific structure, this type of news will reshape the literary representation of crime. This is where the character of the convict comes in. Indeed, enjoying a special status (dead/alive/revenant), it offers novelists "conditions of possibility" unseen until then in the world of letters. Jean Valjean, Monte-Cristo and Chéri-Bibi, to name only the well known, have become models in what we can call the "novel of the convicts", literary (sub)-genre which develops in France from 1830 onwards. Thus, Valjean will give the archetype of the "innocent convict", the miraculous convert and the reincarnation of Jesus Christ. Monte-Cristo will be the Avenger par excellence, whose course will be the model of the genre - revenge being an inevitable topos of popular literature of the nineteenth century and until today. As for Chéri-Bibi, at the beginning of the twentieth century, embodies a turning point in the history of gender; it would be to the novel of the convict what Don Quixote was for the chivalric romance: a sum and a surpassing. The study we propose, oriented on the "genesis and structure" of the prison novel, is a reverse journey in history of this literary genre that does not say its name

Full textThis thesis deals with the role of public and territorial communication in the promotion of the Algerian heritage. The objectives are multiple. It is first of all a question of understanding what a heritage valuation in Algeria is. Next, describe the forms and intentions of communication that accompany it. Afterwards, we give the floor to the actors of the territory of the province of Batna to update the process of valuing their built heritage. This thesis is part of the work carried out in information and communication sciences following Jean Davallon and that of the collective Languages, Objects, Territories and Hospitality (LOTH) on the enhancement and preservation of natural, material heritage and intangible in the Maghreb. The methodological approach comprises three stages. The first consists of an exploration of the 19 classified sites of this wilaya ; this allowed us to assess its heritage and tourism potential, on the one hand, to rank the heritage sites already integrated in a heritage process and, on the other hand, to think about the communicational enhancement of sites that are little known or left in the dark abandonment. The second stage involves collecting data through interviews with the local actors concerned in the province of Batna, directly or indirectly concerned with questions of heritage enhancement. It also involved identifying and categorizing the stakeholders involved. This was supplemented by a collection of documentary data linked to heritage valuations. The third step is a questionnaire survey of visitors to historic sites in the province of Batna. This allowed us to build our problem around three key elements : the lack of heritage culture of the population and the lack of concern for its promotion in connection with a possible " cultural identity ", and finally, measure the needs and demands in terms of public and territorial communication. More generally, the results show that Batna's rich heritage is badly exploited. Some sites are abandoned and / or insecure and participate only weakly in local dynamics, especially tourism. Local communication around this heritage remains very limited, despite its importance and value, and comes up against bureaucratic mechanisms. In short, it is always a centralization of heritage policy at the level of the line ministries and, with it, a prioritization of social demands in terms of culture in an institutional or advertising communication. In fact, the public authorities are more in the perspective of promoting a rewarding public image than creating exchanges with the public and the population. At the level of civil society actors, the results show a lack of consideration of community work as well as poor coordination and communication with official bodies, this with a lack of means and funding. For the population, there is a hierarchy of needs. Societal needs take precedence over leisure and cultural outings or habits. This research shows that the development of Batna's heritage resources will be able to participate in long-term territorial development. That it would require a public and territorial communication adapted to the local reality which allows as much the participation of the local actors of the civil society as that of the population to answer the specific challenges of a patrimonial valorization of this territory

Full textAs the topic states, the research is about the abuse of men in the society (Northern Sotho society in particular). Men, like women and children, are also abused, but unlike in the case of women and children, this abuse is not taken seriously. In most of the cases, this abuse is not reported. It is the aim of this study to scrutinize man abuse as depicted in the following Northern Sotho novels: Nonyana ya tokologo (Kekana, 1985), Ke nako ya ka (Molefe, 2001) and Ngwana Magana go botšwa (Motloutsi, 2004).

Full textThe Mount Bana volcanic-plutonic massif is a piece of the Cameroon magmatic line. It is made up of a silica-saturated anorogenic complex, with an elliptic outline (9 x 5 km) and it intrudes plateau basalts of Eocene-Oligocene age. The early volcanic suite comprises intermediate and evolved rock types (mugearites, benmoreites, rhyolites), associated with welded tuffs. The magmatic suite is governed by fractional crystallization of clinopyroxene and plagioclase. The plutonic suite is composed of leucogabbro, monzodiorite, monzonite and granites and evolved from plagioclase fractionation. At the end of differentiation, hypersolvus granites constitue two contrasting trends:(1 : a peraluminous one, with Batcha and Batchingou biotite- amphibole granites. (2 :a peralkaline one, with the Lembo aegirine- arfvedsonite granite. Peraluminous granites are rich in high temperature zircons. The Lembo granite is devoid of zircon and displays a complete sequence of crystallization of sodic minerais: calcic aegirine, titanaegirine, aegirine, resulting from an oxidation process occurring at the end of crystallization. The age of volcanism has been determined by the K/Ar method and yields a 40 m. Yr date. Long after the emplacement of the Mount Bana massif, silica-saturated basalts lava flows, located 3km at NE of Bana, provides good evidences of a renewed magmatic activity during Pliocene times (7 m. Yr) date

Full textAdverse pregnancy outcomes such as preterm birth and low birth weight are major causes of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. Increasing evidence points to an association between periodontal disease and adverse pregnancy outcomes and thus a better understanding of the nature of this association will assist in treatment planning to reduce adverse pregnancy outcomes. Among the Gram-negative anaerobic bacteria frequently associated with periodontal disease are Treponema denticola, Tannerella forsythia and Porphyromonas gingivalis which may be detected in plaque using the BANA test (N-benzoyl-DL-arginine-2-naphthylamide). The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of periodontal disease on pregnancy outcomes and evaluate the use of BANA as a screening test for the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. This study complied with the Declaration of Helsinki (2013) and included 443 pregnant women attending ante-natal clinics in KwaZulu Natal. At first visit, maternal oral health status was assessed by the measurement of periodontal indices and BANA testing of dental plaque from the same teeth. Patient demography and medical history were obtained by means of a questionnaire and all data compared with pregnancy outcomes. While controlling for other factors, significant differences were found between the distributions of periodontal disease at BANA-negative and BANA-positive sites and between infant birth weight and maternal periodontal index scores such as plaque index and gingival index. The birth weight and gestational age at delivery of infants born of BANA-positive periodontally diseased mothers were significantly lower than those born of BANA-negative mothers with no periodontal disease. We may conclude that the presence of periodontal disease during pregnancy has a significant association with negative pregnancy outcomes and suggest that the risk for adverse pregnancy outcomes may be reduced by monitoring the oral health status of women during pregnancy.
