Abstract:
This study aims to obtain an overview of Religious Experience. Principles of Baha'i Trust and Social Communication. Dogma and Baha'i Trust in Influencing Social Communication of Followers and Social Communication of Adherents of the Baha'i Religion with the Neighborhood Community. This research uses phenomenological methods and theories, qualitative approaches. The results of the study show that the essence of religious experience, namely sensitivity to the sacred, the religious experience is not only natural but also cultural. The Baha'i believe that God is the Creator of the universe, the apostles and prophets are intermediaries to channel God's will for humans through divine revelation contained in the holy books of various religions in the world. The purpose of the Baha'i religion is to realize spiritual transformation in human life and renew the institutions of society based on principles to the Essence of God, the unity of religion, and the unity of all humanity. From some of the teachings, goals, and visions of the Baha'i, the Baha'is in Bandung transformed themselves through their daily attitudes that are always friendly to everyone and open to the local community.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai Pengalaman Keagamaan. Asas-asas Kepercayaan Baha’i dan Komunikasi Sosial. Dogma dan Kepercayaan Baha’i dalam Mempengaruhi Komunikasi Sosial Para Pengikutnya dan Komunikasi Sosial Penganut Agama Baha’i dengan Masyarakat Sekitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dan teori fenomenologi, pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, Hakikat pengalaman keagamaan, yaitu kepekaan terhadap yang suci, maka pengalaman religious bukan hanya natural tetapi juga kultural. Umat Baha’i percaya bahwa Tuhan adalah Sang Pencipta alam semesta, para rasul dan nabi merupakan perantara untuk menyalurkan kehendak Tuhan bagi manusia melalui wahyu Illahi yang terdapat dalam kitab-kitab suci berbagai agama di dunia. Tujuan agama Baha’i adalah untuk mewujudkan transformasi rohani dalam kehidupan manusia dan memperbaharui lembaga-lembaga masyarakat berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip ke Esaan Tuhan, kesatuan agama, dan persatuan seluruh umat manusia. Dari beberapa ajaran, tujuan dan visi umat Baha’i tersebut, para penganut Baha’i di Bandung mentransformasikannya lewat sikap mereka sehari-hari yang selalu ramah kepada setiap orang dan terbuka terhadap masyarakat setempat.

Abstract:
Since the early 1990s non-traditional religions were widespread in Siberia and the Far East, and across Russia, among which there was a large number of totalitarian sects and destructive cults. The reason for the phenomenal success of previously unknown religious and occult teachings has been the spiritual vacuum that occurred in the country after the Communist ideology fall. Most of the new denominations launched in Russia publishing, which by the second decade of the XXI century was carried on by several dozen communal or sectarian publishers. In Siberia and the Far East the most active sects in publishing were the following: Protestant Church of Christ, Baha'i Faith followers, Krishna consciousness regional societies (in particular, the residents of Vladivostok), «Pleiadinas» sects («Ascended Masters» teachings). These sectarian creeds nave been brought into the country, however, and nowadays pseudo-religious cults are created in Russia, which carry a large destructive potential for the Russian society and its cultural traditions. They are Neo-pagans, the Marian center and a number of sects, whose activities began in Siberia: All-Russian movement «To God’s Rule!», The Church of the Last Testament of Vissarion Christ, etc. These cults had in Siberia and the Far East extensive publishing practices editing books, brochures, magazines, newspapers. «Pleiadinas» sect organized in Siberia edition of the monthly magazine «World Channeling» (Novokuznetsk), created two publishing houses: «Star of Freedom» (Novosibirsk) and «SiriuS» (Omsk). The Marian center used printing district offices of Kemerovo region for its production activity. Neo-pagans had publishing houses «Asgard’», «Arcor» and «Russian Truth» in Omsk. The article analyzes all these publishing organizations’ products. The ruinous effects of sectarian publishing activities distribution in the Russian regions is obvious. Its effect reduction will depend on the speed of eliminating the crisis in the spiritual sphere of our society.

Abstract:
In Indonesia, English teachers use textbooks to help students in the teaching-learning process and use it as a self-help resource to get rich input in learning. To improve the quality of English language teaching in Indonesia, this research was conducted to measure whether the three books used in Senior High School, i.e. “Bahasa Inggris”, “Pathway to English”, and “Outcomes Upper Intermediate” are right or not. This research used Alan Cunningsworth’s theory on excellent textbook and tried to find the strengths and weaknesses of the three books based on the given methods above. The study was conducted using evaluation research to evaluate the three English textbooks used by some schools in Yogyakarta. Evaluation steps included taking some samples from the books to see whether they meet the criteria of good textbooks that the researcher developed based on Cunningsworth’s framework. The research found out that Bahasa Inggris meets five standards: aims and approaches, design and organisation, topic, teachers’ book, and political consideration. Pathway to English meets four standards of excellent textbook by Cunningsworth: aims and approaches, design and organisation, teachers’ book, and political attention. Outcomes Upper Intermediate matches five principles of excellent manual by Cunningsworth: goals and methods, design and organisation, skills, topic, and teachers’ book. The researcher also found out that the strengths and weaknesses of “Bahasa Inggris”, “Pathway to English”, and “Outcomes Upper Intermediate”. From the findings above, the researcher suggests the teacher use three textbooks in the teaching-learning process because three books meet the criteria in a good book.

Research and development (R & D) of electronic books (e-book) for science in International Secondary Schools (RSBI and SBI) were conducted with the objective of providing science e-books as a source of learning for teachers and students of RSBI and SBI. With the development of this e-book, it was expected to develop an integrated understanding of science in students, develop students' language skills, and to develop skills in using information technology. The study was conducted by the method of R & D that begins with an analysis of national science curriculum and Cambridge curriculum. The e-book was presented in the form of integrated themes that combined concepts of physics, chemistry and biology written in English. From the results of feasibility study conducted on the use of the e-books it was found that the e-books were sufficiently met the criteria in terms of image presentation, animation, font used, English, exercises and student activities. In general, it was concluded that the e-book developed was creatively made and appropriate for learning source in secondary schools, particularly in RSBI and SBI. Penelitian Pengembangan Buku Elektronik untuk Sains di SMP SBI dan RSBI dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menyediakan buku sains yang dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu sumber belajar bagi guru dan siswa SMP di RSBI/SBI. Dengan dikembangkannya buku ini, diharapkan pembelajaran sains dapat mengembangkan pemahaman sains siswa yang terintegrasi, mengembangkan kemampuan berbahasa siswa, serta mengembangkan kemampuan dalam menggunakan teknologi informasi. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode Reseach and Development (R&D) yang diawali dengan analisis kurikulum sains SMP berdasarkan KTSP dan kurikulum Cambridge. Penyajian buku berupa tema-tema yang mengintegrasikan konsep-konsep dalam fisika, kimia dan biologi dengan menggunakan Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar. Dari hasil uji kelayakan penggunaan buku yang dilakukan terhadap siswa SMP diperoleh bahwa e-book yang disusun memenuhi kriteria penggunaan e-book dalam aspek penyajian gambar, animasi, penggunaan huruf, penggunaan Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar, latihan serta kegiatan siswa. Secara umum, e-book yang dikembangkan dinilai memiliki kreativitas yang baik dan layak digunakan sebagai buku sumber dalam pembelajaran sains di SMP, khususnya di RSBI/SBI.

The books is “Buku Siswa Bahasa Indonesia Kelas VII” revision edition 2014, published by Ministry of Education and Culture. Research was conducted with descriptive quantitative design. All of text in the text book (38 article) was taken as sample, and analysed using Fry Graph formula. The result of analysis shown, more than a half of all text (52%) is suitable for seventh grade student. While, 18 text (48%) is not suitable one.

Hence, Ecoliteration-based children's literature books are considered to be used as learning support books, media as well as sources of learning Bahasa for elementary schools .This study aimed to determine the design of eco-literation-based children's literature models for elementary school students.. This study adopted a development research wich Educational Design Research (EDR) was applied. This study involved lecturers, practitioners/ experts, and elementary school, teachers. The developed book contained some materials namely Bahasa, Science, and Social Sciences for four grade students by proposing a theme of " Peduli Terhadap makhluk Hidup (Caring for Sentient Beings)", added with Basic Competence from 2013 curriculum of Environmental Education lesson (PLH) and eco-literation competencies (Head, Heart, Hands, and Spirit). This study has 3 major findings: (1) the researchers successfully created a eco-literation-based children’s literature model book for elementary school pupils entitled “The Mystery of the Disappearance of A Friend” and “The Mystery of the Butterfly” (2) This study found the suitable characteristics of eco-literation book for Elementary School Students, (3) There are positive response towards these kinds of literature from the experts and the teachers.</em></p>

To create illustrations that can encourage children to interact with books is by applying visual approach appropriate to the children’s imagination and development. To understand the children’s imagination can be done by observing their drawings. Children’s drawing is the result of senses what they felt. This phenomenon is called the children’s visual language. The application of children’s visual language to illustrations can be found in contemporary children’s picture book. For example, the series of picture book “Kerlip Bintang di Langit”. Through a study of children’s drawings and illustrations of “Kerlip Bintang di Langit”, this paper is intended to analyze how the visual language correlates between children’s drawings and illustrations of children’s picture book. Abstract: Books as a medium of literacy are presented normally, making students less interested. Developing puppet media needs to be done. This research aims to develop Puppet Book media. This research method, R&D with Borg and Gall research design. The results of the study were in the form of a one-horned rhinoceros puppet learning media complete with books and audio attached to the puppets. The results of the validation of media experts (average value 90.285%), linguists (average value 99.167%), material experts (average value 92.105%). The results of validation (media, language, material) with a very decent category. The results of the questionnaire responses of students in field trials showed 96.41% with very good criteria. Based on these results, the final product in the form of a puppet book based on multiliteration learning is suitable for the learning activities of fourth grade elementary school students. Abstrak: Buku sebagai media literasi yang disajikan biasa, membuat peserta didik kurang tertarik. Pengembangkan media puppet perlu dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media Puppet Book. Metode penelitian ini, R&D dengan desain penelitian Borg and Gall. Hasil penelitian berupa media pembelajaran puppet badak bercula satu yang dilengkapi buku serta audio yang terpasang pada puppet. Hasil validasi ahli media (nilai rata- rata 90,285%), ahli bahasa (nilai rata- rata 99,167%), ahli materi (nilai rata- rata 92,105%). Hasil validasi (media, bahasa, materi) dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil angket respon siswa pada uji coba lapangan menunjukan 96,41% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, produk akhir berupa puppet book berbasis pembelajaran multiliterasi layak digunakan untuk kegiatan belajar siswa kelas IV SD.

Abstract:
Artificial Neural Networks are known to provide a good model for classification. The goal of this research is to classify books in Bahasa (Bahasa Indonesia) using its cover. The data is in the form of scanned images, each with the size of 300 cm height, 130 cm width, and 96 dpi image resolution the research conducted features extraction using image processing method, MSER (Maximally Stable Externally Regions) to identify the area of book title, and Tesseract Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to detect the title. Next, features extracted from MSER and OCR are converted into a numerical matrix as the input to the Backpropagation Artificial Neural Network. The accuracy obtained using one hidden layer and 15 neurons is 63.31%. Meanwhile, the evaluation using 2 hidden layers with a combination of 15 and 35 neurons resulted in accuracy of 79.89%. The ability of the model to classify the book was affected by the image quality, variation, and number of training data.

Abstract:
This article describes Arabic language books' standard at the madrasah ibtidaiyah level (Islamic Elementary School). Error analysis on textbook is one of the methods to determine the standard of the book. This study aimed to uncover syntactic errors and make corrections to the Arabic language books used as teaching materials at the madrasah ibtidaiyah level. This research was conducted using qualitative methods; applied language approaches in the field of nahwu (syntax). The analysis technique used a collaboration of content analysis by Rusydi and al-Rajihi. The primary data source was done using documentation from the book “Fokus: Modul Bahan Ajar K13 Bahasa Arab Untuk Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kelas 5A” and interviews with teachers. Secondary data sources were carried out using documentation from related literature studies. There were seven forms of syntax errors, including word order, idhofah arrangement, incorrect use of vocabulary, misuse of al-ta'rif, i'rab, dhamir, error in using a verb. These errors have been corrected by relying on Arabic grammar rules so that this textbook is recommended for revision.

Abstract:
This article aims to analyze the relevance of Bahasa Indonesian subject matter revised of 2017 Integrated Thematic book for Grade IV at semester one published by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MOEC) with High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). This research was conducted because HOTS is one of the necessary skills in the 21st century so that the material of Bahasa Indonesian subject matter in the thematic teaching book must be relevant to HOTS because the teaching material is one aspect that affects the implementation of learning activities. A descriptive qualitative was applied to conduct this study. The primary data source was Thematic Books (both for teacher and student) for semester one at Grade IV of primary school. Data were analyzed using a content analysis based on Bloom's taxonomy theory because the theory makes the level of human thinking level from the lowest to the highest. The results showed 27 indicators that contain HOTS, which are five indicators in theme 1, 3 indicators in theme 2, 6 indicators in theme 3, 8 indicators in theme 4, and 5 indicators in theme 5. Abstrak Penelitian pengembangan materi ajar ini bertujuan untuk: (a) mengetahui kebutuhan siswa dan guru mengenai buku cerita rakyat di Jepara sebagai pengayaan materi ajar legenda kelas VIII SMP, (b) mengembangkan prototipe buku cerita rakyat di Jepara sebagai pengayaan materi ajar legenda kelas VIII SMP, dan (c) mengetahui hasil validasi oleh ahli dan perbaikan prototipe buku cerita rakyat di Jepara sebagai pengayaan materi ajar legenda kelas VIII SMP. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan research and development (R&D) yang dilakukan dengan lima langkah, yaitu (1) potensi dan masalah, (2) mengumpulkan informasi, (3) penyusunan desain produk, (4) validasi desain/uji ahli, dan (5) perbaikan desain produk. Setelah penelitian dilaksanakan, diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) buku pengayaan cerita rakyat di Jepara yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa dan guru dengan menggunakan bahasa Jawa ragam ngoko alus yang isinya disajikan secara rinci, jelas, runtut, dan komunikatif dengan disertai gambar ilustrasi, dan (2) penilaian yang diberikan ahli materi dan ahli media terdiri dari tiga aspek, yaitu pewarnaan font pada judul sampul depan buku, penggunaan tanda baca yang kurang tepat dan perbaikan pada aspek grafika. Perbaikan pada sampul buku yaitu warna pada judul buku yang terdapat di bagian sampul depan buku dibuat menggunakan warna yang lebih cerah. Perbaikan pada aspek kebahasaan yaitu penggunaan tanda baca yang kurang tepat. Perbaikan pada aspek grafika yaitu gambar awan pada background di setiap halaman direduksi, karena penggambaran awan kurang menunjukkan gambar awan, hanya berupa garis-garis awan lincar putih. Kata kunci: Materi ajar, buku pengayaan, cerita rakyat Abstract The material of this development research aims to: (a) determine the needs of students and teachers regarding folklore books in Jepara as enrichment of teaching materials for grade VIII SMP, (b) develop prototypes of folklore books in Jepara as enrichment of VIII grade junior high school teaching material, and (c) know the results of validation by experts and repairing prototypes of folklore books in Jepara as enrichment of teaching materials for grade VIII SMP. The research design uses the research and development (R & D) approach which is carried out in five steps, namely (1) potential and problems, (2) gathering information, (3) product design preparation, (4) design validation / expert testing, and (5) product design improvements. After the research was conducted, the results of the study were as follows: (1) folklore enrichment books in Jepara tailored to the needs of students and teachers using the Javanese language variety of ngoko alus whose contents were presented in detail, clear, coherent, and communicative with illustrations, and (2) the assessment given by material experts and media experts consists of three aspects, namely font coloring in the book's front cover title, inappropriate use of punctuation and improvements to aspects of graphics. Repair to the book cover, namely the color of the book title found on the front cover of the book, are made using brighter colors. Repair in linguistic aspects, namely the use of punctuation that is not consistent. Improvements in the aspect of graphics, namely cloud images in the background on each page is reduced, because the deciption of cloud shows less of a cloud image, only in the form of white clouds of light. Abstract. The results of previous research on the book of Song of Songs showed a significant difference of opinion among the scholars regarding the book's final editorial. This research aimed to trace the final period of the editorial of the Song of Songs based on Hebrew characteristics according to the period of development as stated by experts. The authors use a language research method that includes the phoneme, morphology, and syntax aspects to trace the final stage of the editor of the book of Song of Songs. The results of the analysis showed that the Song of Songs shows characteristics from ancient Hebrew to post-exilic and is heavily influenced by other languages such as Aramaic, Persian, and Greek. The fact showed that the book Song of Songs has a revision of language and contextualitation through a very long period and the final editorial is at least settled in the Persian-Greek period.Abstrak. Hasil penelitian terdahulu terhadap kitab Kidung Agung menunjukkan perbedaan pendapat yang signifikan di antara para ahli mengenai redaksi akhir kitab tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menelusuri periode akhir redaksi kitab Kidung Agung dengan didasarkan pada ciri-ciri bahasa Ibrani sesuai periode perkembangannya sebagaimana yang telah dikemukakan oleh para ahli. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian bahasa yang meliputi aspek fonem, morfologi dan sintaksis untuk menelusuri tahap akhir redaksi kitab Kidung Agung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kitab Kidung Agung menunjukkan ciri dari bahasa Ibrani kuno hingga pasca-pembuangan serta banyak dipengaruhi oleh bahasa lainnya seperti Aram, Persia dan Yunani. Fakta tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kitab Kidung Agung mengalami revisi bahasa dan kontekstualisasi lewat periode yang sangat panjang dan redaksi akhir setidaknya diselesaikan pada periode Persia-Yunani.

Tujuan khusus dalam PKM ini adalah dalam rangka untuk peningkatan minat belajar serta peningkatan ketrampilan Bahasa Inggris (soft skill). Beberapa metode yang digunakan dalam Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah metode tanya jawab dan diskusi untuk mengidentifikasi pengetahuan dan teknologi pendukungnya. Metode ceramah digunakan pada saat proses belajar dan pemahaman teoritis bahasa inggris. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilatih menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris berbasis buku cerita bertema alam lebih mudah di mengerti oleh siswa yang diajar. Dengan menggunakan metode ini, terjadi peningkatan yang cukup baik bagi peserta didik. Selain itu, hasil lain yang diperoleh adalah para pemuda dan anak-anak lebih cepat menyerap materi pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dan kegiatan ini juga menjadi awal untuk kegiatan lainnya. The focus of the present program is to increase the interest of learning English for highlanders based on environmental/natural folklore books and soft skill enhancement for Karang Taruna in Betao Village, Pituriawa District, Sidrap. The specific purpose is to enhance learning interest and improve English (soft skills). The methods used in the program are the question and answer and discussion to identify knowledge and supporting technology. The lecturing method was used during the learning process and theoretical understanding of English. The results showed that English learning based on natural-themed storybooks is easier for students to understand. Using the book, the students have considerable improvement. Abstract: The purpose of this research is to determine the potential effect of using contextual-based teaching books on the academic level of law. The background of this research is a lack of learning resources that students can contextually understand. This method of research is development study with observation, poll and test data collection techniques. Data analysis used is quantitative descriptive data analysis. The samples in this study were third-semester students who were studying in the academic sciences. Through the validity test on the material and language aspects it is known that the teaching book is developed valid with 97% details on the material aspect and 96.42% in the language aspect. To know the potential effects of teaching books conducted tests that are pretests and posttest. The average value of pretests obtained was 69.5 and posttest amounting to 82 based on the acquisition of Pretests and posttest values, there is an increase of 12.5 with N-Gain of 0.4. The data sources are the book of Risālah ilā Syabābil-Ummah and its translation in Bahasa Indonesia entitled Menjadi Pemuda Peka Zaman (MPPZ).</p><p>Data collected through reading books RSU and MPPZ as a whole to obtain an overview and classify existing translation techniques. Data analysis was carried out in stages; First, classifying the translation techniques of words, phrases, clauses, and sentencesfrom the text of RSU into MPPZ.Second, looking at the application of translation techniques to define translation methods used.Third, analyzing translation methods to interpret translation ideologies tend to be used by the translator. The results showed thatthere are 17 kinds of translation techniques used by the translatorfrom totally 356 ones happened in 150 data. They are; addition (76), inversion (49), deletion (42), borrowing pure (33), modulation (28), compensation (22), naturalborrowing (21), transposition (18), calque (18), adaptation (15), amplification (13), literaltranslation (11), discursive creation (6), established equivalence (1), particularization (1), generalization (1), description (1). The most frequently tehcnique appliedis the addition one.</p><p>This was done to ensure the easiness for readers to understand the message. Based on the dominant technique appeared, the book is likely to use the communicative method and domestication ideology, shown by 76.7% of techniques are tend to target language (Bahasa Indonesia) while 23.7% are tend to source language (Arabic).<br /><br /></p>

Abstract:
The present study deals with Indonesian interference in English. It aims at giving a thick explanation about grammatical interference which especially exists inEnglish Workbooks for Junior High School students in Surakarta. The data consist of sentences containing interference taken from 10 English workbooks as data source. There were 185 sentences collected as data which were analyzed using error analysis framework and sociolinguistic perspective. The research findings show that there were seven types of grammatical interference: mismatching (62/33.51%), preposition(35/18.91%), superflous expression (27/14.59%), parallel construction (21/11.35%), passive (17/918%), conjunction (14/7.56%), and modifier and adverb (9/4.86%). Only one out of 10 workbooks, that is LKS Bahasa Inggris by MGMP, contained no language interference. The other 9 books contained language interference with the highest frequency occurred in LKS Bahasa Inggris RABEL (45/24.32%) and thelowest in LKS Bahasa Inggris Komunikasi Aktif (1/0.5%). The study also shows that the interference was due to two factors: the bilinguality of the book writers and the tendency of transferring old linguistic behavior in the new one (from Indonesian to English), which basically due to the writers’ constrains in English grammar.

Abstract Hidayatut Thulab is one of the pesantren in Kediri, East Java, which publishes many books, especially the book of morality and interpretation. Achmad Asymuni and his son Achmad Yasin Asmuni as caretakers of the Hidayatut Thulab pesantren are among the ulamas and kiai in Kediri, who are very productive in their work. This article aims to analyze one of the books by Achmad Yasin Asymuni entitled Tafsir al-Fatihah, the book of interpretation of his work is usually called tafsir bimakna petuk. The analysis was carried out using the Islah Gusmian text analysis framework with regard to the technical aspects of writing and hermeneutic aspects. From this analysis it can be seen that in the technical aspect of writing this interpretation adopts coherent systematic, detailed presentation form with persuasive exposition language style and non-scientific reference sources. As for the hermeneutic aspect, this interpretation has a Sufic theological nuance. In addition, the book of interpretation of al-Fatihah uses makna gandul with Java-pegon script by affixing the symbol of the position of the word in Arabic grammar in almost all words Keyword : tafsir al-Fatihah, makna gandul, Java-pegon Pesantren dan Madrasah Hidayatut Thulab adalah salah satu pesantren di Kediri Jawa Timur yang banyak menerbitkan kitab-kitab terutama kitab akhlaq dan tafsir. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisa salah satu kitab karya kiai Achmad Yasin Asymuni yang berjudul Tafsir al-Fatihah, kitab tafsir karya beliau biasa disebut dengan tafsir bimakna petuk. Analisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan kerangka analisis teks Islah Gusmian dengan memperhatikan aspek teknis penulisan dan aspek hermeneutik. Dari analisa tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa pada aspek teknis penulisan tafsir ini menganut sistematika runtut, bentuk penyajian rinci dengan gaya bahasa eksposisi persuasif dan sumber rujukan non ilmiah. Adapun pada aspek hermeneutis, tafsir ini bernuansa teologis sufistik dengan metode tafsir riwa>yat. Selain itu, kitab tafsir al-Fatihah ini menggunakan makna gandul dengan aksara Jawa pegon dengan dibubuhkan lambang kedudukan kata dalam tata bahasa Arab di hampir seluruh kata-kata.

Abstrak Bahasa Arab merupakan bahasa yang wajib dipelajari oleh seluruh mahasiswa di semua Fakultas di UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Bahkan Rektor telah menerbitkan SK No. Un.01/R/HK.005/233/2012 yang menetapkan standar nilai bahasa Arab dan bahasa Inggris yang harus dicapai mahasiswa sebagai syarat kelulusan.Namun kemampuan bahasa Arab mahasiswa pada umumnya masih jauh dari taraf penguasaan yang diharapkan. Buktinya selama beberapa tahun terakhir ini mereka 90% mahasiswa mencapai skor TOAFL di bawah standar yang ditentukan. Hal ini kemungkinan besar disebabkan oleh banyaknya mahasiswa baru yang tidak memiliki pengetahuan dasar bahasa Arab. Agar mahasiswa yang tidak memiliki pengetahuan dasar bahasa Arab dapat mengikuti perkuliahan bahasa Arab, maka perlu diberikan materi khusus berupa bentuk ṣarf dan struktur nahwu yang diambil dari buku Al-Arabiyyah li Ṭullab al-Jāmi’ah yang akan mereka gunakan nanti dalam perkuliahan. Dengan demikian kebutuhan yang sangat mendesak adalah penyiapan materi khusus yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa sebelum mengambil mata kuliah bahasa Arab. Sebagai langkah awal penyusunan materi khusus yang dimaksud maka penelitian ini perlu dilaksanakan. Data tentang struktur kalimat dalam penelitian ini diambil dari teks bahan qirā’ah dalam buku Al-‘Arabiyyah li Ṭullab al-Jāmi’ah, mengingat buku tersebut merupakan buku yang menjadi pegangan bagi mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi Islam. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa tidak semua bentuk kata dan fungsi sintaksis yang biasa dipelajari dalam kitab-kitab klasik digunakan dalam materi qira’ah buku Al-‘Arabiyyah li Ṭullab al-Jāmi’ah. Sehingga perlu ada penyusunan silabus yang memperhatikan keberadaan bentuk dan fungsi kata dalam buku ini. Selanjutnya perlu disusun buku bagi mahasiswa dalam rangka mengenalkan bentuk dan fungsi kata sebagai bahan pengantar sebelum mempelajari bahasa Arab dalam perkuliahan regular.---Abstract Arabic is one of the language subjects that must be learned by all students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Even the Rector has established Decree No. Un.01/R/HK.005/233/2012 which sets the standard of value in Arabic and English to be achieved by each student as an essential condition of graduation. But the competence of Arabic students are generally still far from the level of mastery to be achieved. over the last few years 90% of the students obtained a score TOAFL below specified standards. It can be caused by a number of new students who do not have basic knowledge of Arabic. So that students who do not have basic knowledge of Arabic can take the classes in Arabic well, it should be given special materials such as morphological and syntactic structures taken from the book Al-Arabiyyah li Ṭullab al-Jami'ah they will use later in the lecture. Thus an urgent need is the preparation of a special material that is given to students prior to taking courses in Arabic. As the first step of the preparation, research needs to be done. Data based on the structure of the sentence in this study were taken from the reading text material in the book Al-'Arabiyyah li Ṭullab al-Jami'ah, consider that the book became a handbook for students at Islamic university. Based on the analysis we concluded that not all morphological and syntactic function commonly studied in classical texts used in the reading text material book Al-'Arabiyyah li Ṭullab al-Jami'ah. So there needs syllabus that takes into account the existence of the form and function of words in this book. The design of this research was descriptive quantitative. It aimed to find out the category of material and task in Bahasa Inggris Textbook for Senior High School published by Kemendikbud 2014. The subject of this study was textbook for grade tenth, consisting of 2 books (first semester and second semester) which each book consist of 9 chapters which were made up 268 materials and tasks. The data was collected by using observation checklist that proposed by Permendikbud number 08 2016 and some experts (Cunningsworth (1995), Celce-Murcia (1979), Wahab (2013)). The result showed that the materials and tasks which divided into 4 aspects; material aspect, linguistic aspect, material presentation aspect and graph aspect showed the different result. The material aspect was categorized into poor category while the others were categorized into good category. Therefore this book can be categorized into good category. In language skills (listening skill, speaking skill, reading skill and writing skill) also showed the different result. The listening skill showed low percentage in good category while the others skill showed high percentage in good category. Consequently, it can be concluded that language skills in this book was not balance.

Background of the study: Evaluating collection is required by libraries to assess the strengths and the weaknesses of collections. This research gives a benefit for libraries to improve their collection development policies. Thus, the libraries can provide adequate numbers of collections to meet the patrons’ demands.Purpose: The purpose of this report is to evaluate the forestry holdings in the Cendana library of Forest Research Institute Kupang (FRIK) by using conspectus.Method: This research is an explanatory study cases in order to describe strength and weakness of forestry holding at Cendana library. The evaluator uses the Australian conspectus due to relevancy. The conspectus has several techniques for collecting data. A checklist is used by evaluator to evaluate monographs and electronic books. In addition, the evaluator evaluates the existing collection strengths (ECS), chronological coverages, languages, and physical conditions. The evaluator records these components into the evaluative worksheet.Findings: The result reveals that the forestry holdings in Cendana Library of Forest Research Institute Kupang (FRIK) has conspectus levels in 1b. Although type of the languages become a strength, but the quantity is a weakness. The data shows that the size level of forestry holdings in the Cendana Library of Forest Research Institute Kupang (FRIK) is in the level 1 b.Conclusion: In conclusion, the collection weakness is in books’ quantities. The limited number of forestry books enforces the conspectus levels of forestry holdings in a low level (1b). Penelitian R & D versi Borg and Gall ini menggunakan subjek penelitian siswa kelas I-VI, guru, ahli bahasa, ahli pembelajaran, dan ahli media. Penelitian melibatkan 9 SD di Kota Yogyakarta, Bantul, dan Sleman. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, tes membaca, studi dokumentasi, dan angket sesuai dengan langkah-langkah kegiatan dalam penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa prototipe dikembangkan sebagai pedoman penyusunan buku bacaan berjenjang bahasa Jawa berdasar kemampuan dan kebutuhan siswa sekolah dasar. Komponen penjenjangan teks adalah jenjang, panjang, tata letak, struktur dan organisasi, ilustrasi, dan konten. Validasi ahli bahasa, ahli pembelajaran, dan ahli media menunjukkan hasil sangat baik. Untuk memperjelas penjenjangan, disusun contoh buku bacaan berjenjang yang telah diujicobakan dalam kelompok kecil dan respons siswa menunjukkan baik serta berdasarkan kegiatan FGD diperoleh respons para guru sangat baik.AbstractThis study was aimed at developing book-grading guidance for Javanese reading books based on the local wisdom as a medium of character education in the elementary school. Borg and Gall's R & D model was used in this study. The research subjects were the elementary students of Grades I-VI, teachers, linguists, learning specialists, and media experts. The study involved 9 elementary schools in Yogyakarta, Bantul, and Sleman. The samples were chosen by purposive sampling techniques. The data were collected using interviews, observation, reading tests, documentation studies, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results show that the prototype of the developed book-grading guideline for the Javanese reading book, based on the capabilities and the needs of elementary school students, includes components of level, length, layout, structure and organization, illustration, and content. The validation of linguists, learning experts, and media experts shows excellent results. To verify the grading, the results of the try-out on sampled small groups shows good student responses and, based on FGD activities, obtains excellent teacher responses.

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode evaluasi dengan teknik analisis isi. Model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah Evaluasi Berbasis Tujuan (Goal Based Evaluation) untuk mengukur dan menilai kualitas buku teks pelajaran bahasa Jepang. Dalam penelitian ini, dasar teoretis dari buku pelajaran yang dijelaskan oleh para ahli dieksplorasi dan dikembangkan oleh peneliti dalam bentuk konstruk instrumen untuk mengevaluasi buku teks bahasa asing. Instrumen ini terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu: materi/isi, keterampilan berbahasa, penyajian, dan keterbacaan. Instrumen ini telah divalidasi oleh pakar perbukuan dan pakar bahasa Jepang, serta diujikan pada empat buku teks pelajaran seri “Minna no Nihongo” yang digunakan di Fakultas Sastra Jurusan Jepang Universitas Darma Persada. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, diketahui bahwa kualitas empat buku ditinjau dari empat komponen sekaligus dianggap baik. Namun, buku keterampilan membaca dan menulis ditinjau dari segi penyajian dianggap kurang baik. Evaluation model used is Goal Based Evaluation (Objective Oriented Evaluation) to measure and assess the quality of Japanese lesson textbook.In this study, the theoretical basic of the textbooks described by the experts is explored and developed by researcher in the form of instruments construct on evaluating foreign language textbook. This instrument consists of four components, namely: the material/content, language skills, presentation, and readability. This instrument has been validated by book expert and Japanese Language experts, as well as tested in four textbooks series “Minna no Nihongo” used in the Faculty of Literature Japanese Department in University of Darma Persada. Based on the results of the evaluation, it is determined that the quality of four textbooks observed in terms of four components all at once is clarified favorable. But reading and writing skills books observed in terms of presentation only are considered unfavorable. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei dan wawancara, buku cerita sebagai sumber penelitian diambil secara acak dari lokasi penelitian dengan jumlah 100 buku dari 828 buku cerita yang tersedia di pusat sumber belajar (PSB) TK Islam Al Azhar Serang. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah kualitas gambar visual disajikan dengan sangat baik, kesesuaian visual literasi dengan tujuan pembelajaran, kesesuaian dengan materi, daya tahan buku, kecepatan presentasi materi, disajikan dengan baik dan indikator lainnya menunjukkan hasil yang cukup, yaitu kosakata mudah dipahami anak, penggunaan bahasa yang singkat, padat dan jelas, urutan dan runtut materi, kesesuaian penyajian visual dengan kebutuhan berbagai karakter siswa, prosedur penggunaan, penyajian pedoman untuk guru. Dengan kata lain, pada umumnya visualisasi gambar yang disajikan dalam buku cerita di Pusat Sumber Belajar (PSB) TK Islam Al Azhar 10 Serang telah menunjukkan hasil yang cukup dengan frekuensi kemunculan rata-rata hampir setengahnya.Kata kunci: visual literasi, buku cerita VISUAL LITERACY INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA OF CHILDREN’S STORY BOOKSAbstractThis study aim to obtain information about the visual literacy of children’s story books of 5-6 years old Children. In other words, the conclusion is the visual literacy of the images presented in the storybooks at the Learning Resource Center (PSB) of Al Azhar Islamic Kindegarten School 10 Serang has shown sufficient results with an average occurrence frequency of nearly half.Keywords: visual literacy, story books

English is considered to be difficult due its different natures with Bahasa Indonesia both in pronouncing and writing. However, English textbooks are widely used in many program studies including in radiology. Therefore, many students have difficulties in understanding and comprehending the books due to their limited English ability especially related to English vocabularies and grammatical. This study aimed to acknowledge lexically and syntactically the linguistics features used in the textbook of Radiographic Positioning and Related Anatomy, which is a must-read book used during the study in the study program of Radiology. The method applied in this Corpus Linguistic study was a combination of quantitative method by using a concordancer called AntConc to analyze the radiology book quntitatively to get the word frequency list, and qualitative method in analyzing the quantitative data to describe the language features used in the textbook. The results of the quantitative and qualitative analyses show the most common vocabularies, word classes, and sentence patterns used in the text book that will be used to compose a pocket dictionary, which will help the radiography students to understand the radiological terms and comprehend many radiological sources autonomously and easily. Furthermore, through the dictionary, the students will not only be able to understand and comprehend many radiological texts but they will also be able to write texts and even discuss radiological topics in English autonomously. Results of the study show that AntConc has benefited the researchers since it has been able to assist the researchers in providing needed lexical and syntactical information of the textbook.  Bahasa Inggris dianggap sulit karena berbeda dengan bahasa Indonesia baik dalam pengucapan maupun penulisannya. Walaupun demikian, di Indonesia buku-buku teks berbahasa Inggris banyak digunakan di berbagai program studi termasuk di bidang radiologi. Oleh karena itu, banyak mahasiswa mendapatkan kesulitan untuk mengerti dan memahami buku-buku berbahasa Inggris tersebut karena keterbatasan pengetahuan Bahasa Inggris mereka terutama berkaitan dengan kosakata dan gramatika bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fitur linguistik dalam bentuk kosakata dan gramatika yang digunakan dalam buku Radiographic Positioning and Related Anatomy. Buku ini merupakan buku yang wajib dipelajari mahasiswa di Program Studi Radiologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode gabungan antara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak konkordansi AntConc data dianalisis secara kuantitaif untuk mendapatkan daftar kata berdasarkan kekerapannya. Selanjutnya, metode kualitatif diaplikasikan untuk menganalisis dan menjelaskan data yang dihasilkan. Analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif tersebut menghasilkan daftar kosakata, kelas kata, dan pola kalimat yang sering muncul dan akan digunakan untuk menyusun kamus mini buku tersebut. Keberadaan kamus ini diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa radiologi untuk memahami terminologi radiologi dan memahami banyak teks radiologi secara mandiri dengan mudah. Lebih lanjut lagi, mahasiswa tidak hanya mampu memahami banyak teks radiologi tetapi juga mampu memproduksi teks, bahkan berdiskusi tentang radigrafi dalam bahasa Inggris secara madiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perangkat AntCont telah memberikan manfaat kepada peneliti karena perangkat ini telah mampu membantu peneliti untuk mempersiapkan informasi leksikal dan gramatikal bahasa Inggris yang terdapat pada buku radiologi di atas.

Bahasa Inggris sudah mulai diperkenalkan di tingkatan sekolah dasar walaupun posisinya hanya sebagai mata pelajaran muatan lokal. Hal ini dikarenakan sekolah-sekolah di daerah terpencil tidak memiliki guru yang dapat mengajar mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Namun di banyak sekolah terpencil, sering ditemukan masalah seperti tidak adanya pengajar Bahasa Inggris terlatih dan media ajar yang mendukung. Masalah-masalah ini juga ditemukan di SD Negeri 6 Tambak Ukir Kecamatan Kendit Kabupaten Situbondo. Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sekolah tidak maksimal karena tidak adanya media ajar Bahasa Inggris. Solusi untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan mengembangkan media ajar big book. Tampilan big book yang penuh warna dan menarik membuat siswa lebih tertarik untuk belajar. Maka dari itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan big book sebagai media ajar alternatif yang dapat dipakai untuk mengajar mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris di SD Negeri 6 Tambak Ukir. Model penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) yang dipakai diadaptasi dari model Gall dkk (2003). Ada empat tahap dalam proses pengembangan ini yaitu analisis masalah, pengembangan produk, uji coba produk, dan revisi produk. Hasil akhir dari pengembangan ini adalah poduk pendidikan, yaitu sepuluh big book dengan beberapa jenis tema dilengkapi dengan petunjuk penggunaan. Instrumen yang dipakai dari tahap awal ampai akhir adalah kuesioner, petunjuk evaluasi media ajar, lembar observasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah satu set big book dengan tema: numbers, letters, body parts, farm animals, colors, greetings and leave-takings, family members, occupations, playground, dan narrative. Setelah melalui tahap validasi dan uji coba, big book ini terbukti valid, efektif, dan praktis.

This paper examines metaphorical figurative language in Arabic poetry books. The data used is taken from the Diwan Imam Syafi'iy book. The book contains one hundred and thirty poems. Most of them portray moral issues, advice and reflection on the community situation at that time. The poems also use a lot of figurative language, one of them is metaphor. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that includes three stages, that are data collection, data analysis, and presentation of the results of data analysis. Data collection is conducted by recording the metaphors contained in the book of Diwan Imam Syafi’iy. Analyzing the data is conducted by classifying the type of metaphor, and presenting the data is conducted by writing metaphorical findings into the paper. The research technique is performed by describing three elements forming metaphor according to Taylor, as tenor, vehicle, and ground. The meaning field refers to a comparison as a figurative, while comparability is the object described. Comparators are classified into nine types of comparison by Haley. Based on a review of the book Diwan Imam Syafi`i, seven types of metaphor comparison are found, as being, cosmos, energy, terrestrial, object, living, and animate.Tulisan ini mengkaji gaya bahasa kiasan metafora dalam buku syair berbahasa Arab. Data yang digunakan diambil dari buku syair Diwan Imam Syafi`iy. Buku itu memuat seratus tiga puluh syair yang sebagian besar memotret soal moral dan nasihat serta refleksi dari keadaan masyarakat pada saat itu. Di dalam syair-syair tersebut banyak digunakan bahasa kiasan, metafora salah satunya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang mencakup tiga tahapan, yaitu pengumpulan data, penganalisisan data, dan presentasi hasil analisis data. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mencatat metafora yang terkandung dalam buku syair Diwan Imam Syafi`iy. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengklasifikasikan jenis metafora dan mempresentasikan temuan-temuan metafora ke dalam makalah. Teknik penelitian dilakukan dengan menguraikan tiga elemen pembentuk metafora menurut Taylor, yaitu pebanding, pembanding, dan persamaan keduanya. Medan makna mengacu pada pembanding yang menjadi kiasan, sedangkan pebanding adalah objek yang dideskripsikan. Pembanding diklasifikasi berdasarkan sembilan jenis pembanding Haley. Berdasarkan tinjauan terhadap buku syair Diwan Imam Syafi`iy, ditemukan tujuh jenis pembanding metafora, yaitu being, cosmos, energy, terrestrial, object, living, dan animate.

Dalam pembelajaran ini, mahasiswa dibagi menjadi beberapa kelompok yang terdiri atas dua sampai dengan tiga orang untuk berkolaborasi dalam mengidentifikasi berbagai jenis alat evaluasi yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan diskret, integrative, ataukah pragmatic. Setelah para mahasiswa mengidentifikasi berbagai jenis instrument evaluasi secara berkelompok, mereka kemudian mempresentasikan secara bergantian. It was the result of a study of more than 15 years to produce 40 volumes of Muslim biographies of the women scholars of hadiths which were written in Arabic, and this book is an early introduction which was written in English. The author has explained in the pre-book as an introduction regarding the purpose of writing this book. It contains ten chapters. Each chapter is equipped with footnotes, and the list of references consists of classical sources (turāth) and Arabic manuscripts arranged alphabetically. Although this book is a preamble to the wider series of books, it was a great effort and has received a very positive response among readers. It is reasonable as compulsory reading material by the academicians and students who are directly involved in the field of Hadith, but it is also not too heavy to be used as general reading for the public who are keen to explore the culture of knowledge practiced by women who are known as al-muḥaddithāt. Abstrak Buku yang berjudul Al-Muhaddithat: The Women Scholars in Islam aditulis oleh Mohammad Akram Nadwi, dan telah diterbitkan oleh Interface Publications Ltd. pada tahun 2007. Ia adalah hasil kajian selama lebih daripada 15 tahun untuk menghasilkan 40 jilid kamus biografi ulama wanita hadis Nabi yang ditulis dalam bahasa Arab, dan buku ini merupakan pengenalan awal kepada kamus tersebut yang ditulis dalam bahasa Inggeris. Hal ini dijelaskan di dalam pra kata buku sebagai pengenalan kepada tujuan buku ini ditulis. Ia mengandungi sepuluh bab. Dimulai dengan “Pendahuluan” sebelum bab pertama, dan diakhiri dengan “Rujukan” dan “Indeks”. Setiap bab dilengkapi dengan nota kaki, dan senarai rujukannya terdiri daripada sumber klasik (turāth) dan manuskrip Arab yang disusun mengikut abjad. Biarpun buku ini merupakan mukaddimah kepada siri buku yang lebih luas, ia merupakan usaha yang sangat besar dan telah pun mendapat respon yang sangat positif dalam kalangan pembaca. Ia wajar dijadikan bacaan wajib oleh para akademik dan pelajar yang terlibat secara langsung dalam bidang hadis, tetapi ia juga tidak begitu berat untuk dijadikan bacaan umum untuk orang awam yang berminat untuk mendalami budaya ilmu yang telah dipraktikkan oleh para wanita yang bergelar al-muḥaddithāt.

<p class="Standard">Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran berupa media komik pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar bahasa Indonesia dan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SD. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan langkah yang dikembangkan oleh Borg &amp; Gall. Model Pengembangan tersebut dikelompokan menjadi: (1) melakukan penelitian pendahuluan dan pengumpulan informasi, (2) melakukan perencanaan, (3) mengembangkan produk awal, (4) melakukan uji coba lapangan awal, (5) melakukan revisi produk awal untuk menyusun produk utama, (6) melakukan uji coba utama, (7) melakukan revisi produk utama untuk menyusun produk operasional, (8) melakukan uji lapangan operasional, (9) melakukan revisi produk akhir, (10) deseminasi. Subjek uji pelaksanaan lapangan pada kelas eksperimen sebanyak 27 siswa dan pada kelas kontrol sebanyak 27 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) media komik pembelajaran layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Menurut ahli materi dan ahli media pembelajaran produk media komik<em> </em>berkategori “baik”. (2) terdapat peningkatan nilai pretest terhadap posttest motivasi belajar bahasa Indonesia dan keterampilan membaca pemahaman antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. (2) There is an increase in the pretest to posttest at control class and experimental class of motivation for study after using comic books, and reading comprehension after using comic books for study. The content of conservation values of humanism is given in order to instill moral values. This research designs Research and Development (R & D) Thiagarajan model modified in 3 stages, such as define, design, and development. The results of this study are based on the results of questionnaire analysis needs of learners and educators who compiled into principles of book development. <p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This study aims to describe the results of the effectiveness and interest in reading the nonfiction enrichment book in elementary school. The research method used is research and development data analysis techniques namely quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The test results for the level of material, language, and design validation in the teacher's books were 88.23% and 87.7% of the students' books. Then the feasibility test results are 88,75% and the withdrawal test is 93%. The results of the effectiveness test before using the product are 59,23 %%, and then using the product that is 85%. Meanwhile students' reading interest depends on the lowest percentage value of 92% and the highest percentage of 98%.</p><strong>Abstrak:<em> </em></strong>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hasil uji efektivitas dan minat baca terhadap buku pengayaan nonfiksi di SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu <em>research and development</em> dengan teknik analisis data yaitu kuanitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil uji tingkat validasi aspek materi, bahasa, dan desain pada buku guru yaitu 88,23% dan buku siswa 87,7%. Hasil uji kelayakan 88,75% dan uji kemenarikan 93%. Hasil uji efektivitas sebelum menggunakan produk yaitu 59,23%% dan sesudah menggunakan produk yaitu 85%%. Teknik visualisasi buku cerita bergambar cenderung mengadaptasi gaya barat modern yang dikenal dengan ‘NPM’. Sampai saat ini penulis belum pernah menemukan buku cerita bergambar, yang dirancang menggunakan bahasa rupa tradisional Indonesia yang dikenal dengan ‘RWD’. Hal ini menjadi kesempatan bagi penulis untuk memperdalam pemahaman tentang bahasa rupa RWD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis kemungkinan penerapan bahasa rupa RWD dalam cerita bergambar. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu konsep eksplorasi bahasa rupa RWD sebagai komunikasi grafis yang diterapkan dalam karya tugas akhir mahasiswa DKV. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi referensi bagi praktisi maupun akademisi khususnya mahasiswa dalam eksplorasi bahasa rupa tradisional Indonesia ke dalam proses penciptaan karya desain agar tercipta banyak alternatif dalam visualisasi komunikasi grafis baik konvensional maupun digital. Until now the authors have never found illustration story books yet, which is designed using Indonesia’s traditional visual language which known as ‘RWD’. This research uses qualitative method to analyze the possibility of applying RWD visual language in illustration story books. School library provides various facilities and services adjusted to the needs of students as library users. With the availability of various facilities and services in the school library, the students can choose the facilities and library services that want to be utilized to meet their needs in the school environment. This study aims to determine the characteristics of students in the utilization of school library. This research uses quantitative approach with descriptive analysis. The location of this research is in a library of a Senior High School (SMA) in Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that high school students in the use of school libraries have different characteristics. They more often visit the library during break time compared to other times. Students use the library for school work, and some students do other activities in the library. In the case of borrowing books, the students mostly only borrow one book, the borrowed book is in Bahasa Indonesia, and not many students borrow collections in foreign languages. From this research, it can also be seen that many collections that do not fit between the bookshelves and the catalog / OPAC. Thus, it makes the students prefer to search directly on the shelf instead of using the catalog / OPAC. On the other hand, it is also because the students are still confused in using OPAC.

This research is motivated by the difficulties of students in learning teaching materials are considered the main factor in these difficulties, because the material in the textbook seems stiff or tied to the main material in the curriculum so that it does not develop students creative thinking skills. Therefore, the researcher developed a book supporting Arabic writing skills based on the RAFT strategy (Role Audience Format Topic) for eighth grade students of MTs as an effort to foster students creative thinking skills in Arabic writing skills. This research uses qualitative and quantitative research with a research and development design (Research and Development). The research stages that were passed in this study only reached the fifth stage of the ten stages, namely potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The results of this study are as follows. First, teachers and students want the development of books to support Arabic writing skills based on the RAFT strategy for grade VIII students of MTs. Second, this supporting book prototype contains vocabulary, grammar guidelines, examples of writing with RAFT strategy, writing exercises using RAFT strategy and pearls of wisdom. Third, the assessment of the content feasibility aspect obtained an average value of 90.56, the feasibility aspect of presentation was 90.95, the language feasibility aspect was 89.66, and the graphic feasibility aspect was 89.77. The average score of all aspects of book eligibility is 90.23 in the range 86-100 and is in category 4 (very suitable). Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam mempelajari bahan ajar dianggap sebagai faktor utama kesulitan. Hal ini dikarenakan materi pada buku teks pelajaran terkesan kaku atau terikat pada materi pokok dalam kurikulum sehingga kurang mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mengembangkan sebuah buku penunjang keterampilan menulis bahasa Arab berbasis strategi RAFT (Role Audience Format Topic) untuk siswa kelas VIII MTs sebagai upaya menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam keterampilan menulis bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Tahapan penelitian yang dilalui dalam penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap lima dari sepuluh tahap, yaitu potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, dan revisi desain. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, guru dan siswa menghendaki adanya pengembangan buku penunjang keterampilan menulis bahasa Arab berbasis strategi RAFT untuk siswa kelas VIII MTs. Kedua, purwarupa buku penunjang ini memuat kosakata, pedoman gramatika, contoh menulis dengan strategi RAFT, latihan menulis dengan strategi RAFT dan kata mutiara. Ketiga, Penilaian aspek kelayakan isi memperoleh nilai rata-rata 90,56, aspek kelayakan penyajian 90,95, aspek kelayakan bahasa 89,66, dan aspek kelayakan kegrafikan 89,77. Nilai rata-rata dari keseluruhan aspek kelayakan buku adalah 90,23 pada rentang 86-100 dan termasuk kategori 4 (sangat sesuai).

Abstract:
Deaf childrens are children with hearing limitation that can be fully or partial hearing function problems. Deaf childrens can communicate using movement pattern combinations (sign language), accompanied by face expression dan lips reading that can be studied using eyesight. For moslem deaf children, they have limitation on understanding and memorizing hijaiyah alphabets. One of the factors that make it hard to learn is the learning media limitation on Al-Quran for deaf childrens. Media that usually use to learn hijaiyah alphabets is Iqro books, the weak side of this book is there’s no procedure on how to pronounce Al-quran from letters of alphabets or in hijaiyah sign. Start from this limitation on deaf childrens and iqro book’s weaknesses, the idea to designing illustration book of hijaiyah alphabet introduction for deaf children was emerge. The media for the design is a book titled “Komunikasi dalam Isyarat” (“Communicate in sign”) in 20 x 20 cm size with 53 pages and soft covered, the content pages will be in HVS 100g paper. This book will contain hijaiyah alphabets, hijaiyah sign, exercises, evaluation test, and puzzle pieces that will be included in puzzle container.Keywords: book, illustration deaf, sign, hijaiyah.AbstrakAnak tunarungu merupakan anak dengan keterbatasan pendengaran yang kurang berfungsi dengan baik maupun tidak sama sekali. Anak tunarungu berkomunikasi dengan cara menggunakan kombinasi pola gerakan tertentu, juga disertai dengan ekspresi wajah dan gerak mulut yang bisa dibaca secara visual melalui indera penglihatan. Bagi anak tunarungu muslim, keterbatasan lainnya yaitu sulit memahani dan menghafal huruf huruf hijaiyah. Salah satu faktor penyebab sulit memahami huruf hijaiyah adalah keterbatasan media belajar Al-Qur’an khusus untuk anak tunarungu. Media yang selama ini digunakan untuk belajar huruf hijaiyah adalah buku Iqro’, kelemahan pada buku ini karena di dalamnya tidak ada cara membaca Al-Qur’an melalui huruf abjad maupun isyarat hijaiyah. Berawal dari keterbatasan anak tunarungu dan kelemahan pada buku Iqro’, muncullah ide merancang buku ilustrasi pengenalan huruf hijaiyah untuk anak tunarungu. Media yang dirancang merupakan buku berjudul “Komunikasi dalam Isyarat” berukuran 20 cm x 20 dan memiliki 53 halaman, cover buku menggunakan soft cover, dan lembaran halaman menggunakan bahan kertas HVS 100g . Penelitian Pengembangan Buku Terintegrasi Website Untuk Sains SMP SBI dan RSBI dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menyediakan buku sains yang dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu sumber belajar bagi guru dan siswa SMP di RSBI/SBI. Dengan dikembangkannya buku ini, diharapkan pembelajaran sains dapat mengembangkan pemahaman sains siswa secara terintegrasi, mengembangkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris siswa, serta mengembangkan kemampuan dalam menggunakan teknologi informasi. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode Reseach and Development (R&D) yang diawali dengan analisis kurikulum sains SMP berdasarkan KTSP dan kurikulum Cambridge. Penyajian buku berupa tema-tema yang mengintegrasikan konsep-konsep dalam fisika, kimia dan biologi dengan menggunakan Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar. Dari hasil uji kelayakan penggunaan buku yang dilakukan terhadap siswa SMP diperoleh bahwa e-book yang disusun memenuhi kriteria penggunaan e-book dalam aspek penyajian gambar, animasi, penggunaan huruf, penggunaan Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar, latihan serta kegiatan siswa. Secara umum, e- book yang dikembangkan dinilai memiliki kreativitas yang baik dan layak digunakan sebagai buku sumber dalam pembelajaran sains di SMP, khususnya di RSBI/SBI.Kata Kunci: buku sains terintegrasi website, sains terpadu, pembelajaran sains di RSBI/SBI

E-book berupa CD yang berisikan materi / bahan belajaran, tugas-tugas yangdisusun oleh dosen terkait mata kuliah yang bersangkutan. E-book dapat dipergunakan di dalam kelas ataupun dipergunakan sendiroleh mahas iswa di rumah ataupun di rental komputer. E-book dipergunakan untuk pertama kalinya di jurusan Bhasa Inggris STKIPPGRI Sumatera Barat pada mata pelajaran Cross Cultural Undersatanding (CCU). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian descriptive. Sampedari penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa jurusan Bahasa Inggris tingkat II lokal G yang mengambil mata kulaih CCU. Dari penelitian indidapat bahwa mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menggunakan E-book karena tidak tersedianya laboratorium computer yang dilengkapi internet di jurusan Bahasa Inggris. Selain itu masih banyaknya mahasiswa yang belum mengetahi cara menggoperasikan computer dan internet.

Abstract:
Predicting readability level of reading texts can help the teachers to match the texts with student’s grade. The appropriate reading text is expected to ease the students in comprehending the material. This research focused on the readability level of English reading material found in English textbook entitled Bahasa Inggris for first grade of Senior High School Published by Curriculum and Books Center, Research and Development Agency, Ministry of Education and Culture. This study attempts to find out whether the reading materials are appropriate or not in terms of readability level for the target students. This research used descriptive quantitative design. The object of the research is English textbook entitled Bahasa Inggris for First Grade of Senior High School published by Curriculum 2013. The textbook consists fifteen chapters which contained kinds of reading materials such as dialogue and reading texts. The researcher only focuses on analyzing the reading materials. There are three kinds of genre found in this book, they are descriptive, recount and narrative. The data were collected by using document analysis. In calculating readability level, the researcher employed the Flesch Reading Ease (FRE) formula. The results of the study showed that there were 9 reading texts in the Bahasa Inggris textbook. From those 9 texts found that there were 3 descriptive texts, 4 recount texts, and 2 narrative texts. According to the analysis using Flesch Reading Ease (FRE) formula, the researcher found that there were 3 texts in Fairly Easy level, 3 texts in Fairly Difficult level, and 3 texts in Difficult level. In average, the texts are in Fairly Difficult level (57,3). Based on the theory of Flesch Reading Ease (FRE) formula, it is found that the texts are in the appropriate level for tenth grade students.Keyword: Readability level, Reading Material, Textbook.

Mitra yang menjadi sasaran Kegiatan Pengabdian Penerapan Teknologi Tepat Guna adalah Perpustakaan Terapung Kampung Nelayan Seberang, Belawan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara dan SD Negeri 068009 Belawan. Berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara terdapat 4 masalah utama yang dihadapi mitra, antara lain: (1) ruangan perpustakaan yang tidak luas, (2) penataan buku terkesan berantakan, (3) kegiatan di perpustakaan hanya sebatas membaca buku dan (4) administrasi peminjaman buku yang masih manual. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut ditawarkan solusi,: (1) pendampingan penataan ruangan dan penyusunan buku, (2) pendampingan membuat rak buku yang lebih kuat dan efesien, (3) pengadaan gerobak pintar yang dapat berpindah-pindah, (4) pendampingan dan workshop dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi siswa, dan (5) membangun aplikasi perpustakaan terapung dan pangkalan data online. Target khusus dan luaran yang akan dihasilkan: (1) ruangan perpustakaan yang kesannya jadi lebih luas, (2) rak buku yang lebih kuat dan jumlah buku yang lebih banyak, (3) Gerobak Pintar (4) alat peraga bahasa,kumpulan syair dan melodi lagu wajib beserta alat musiknya, alat peraga sains dan matematika, dan (5) aplikasi untuk pengelolaan administrasi perpustakaan yang disebut “Aplikasi Pustaka Apungku”. Metode pelaksanaan program pengabdian akan dilakukan secara bertahap, berkelanjutan, dan komprehensif yang dilaksanakan melalui metode pendampingan dan workshop.Kata kunci: Literasi; Integrase; Pustaka Apungku; Pendampingan.AbstractThe partners who were targeted in the Appropriate Service Technology Application Activities were the Floating Library of the Seberang Fishermen Village, Belawan, North Sumatra Province and Belawan State Elementary School 068009. Based on observations and interviews, there are 4 main problems faced by partners, including: (1) library space that is not spacious, (2) book arrangement seems messy, (3) library activities are limited to reading books and (4) book loan administration still manual. Based on these problems, solutions are offered: (1) room management and book arrangement assistance, (2) assistance to make bookshelves more powerful and efficient, (3) procurement of mobile carts that can move around, (4) assistance and workshops in improving student literacy skills, and (5) building floating library applications and online databases. Specific targets and outputs that will be produced: (1) library room that seems to be more spacious, (2) stronger bookshelves and a greater number of books, (3) Smart Carts (4) language props, poetry collections and melodies compulsory songs with their musical instruments, science and mathematics teaching aids, and (5) applications for library administration management called "Apungku Library Application". The method of implementing the service program will be carried out in stages, in a sustainable, and comprehensive manner through the assistance and workshop methods.Keywords: Literacy; Integrase; Pustaka Apungku; Accompaniment.
