Abstract:
AbstractThe article explores the ritualising processes of a myth of social foundation, the bagr myth, among the Dagara of north-west Ghana and south-west Burkina Faso. It describes how rituals form part of the daily life of the Dagara and shows how bagr rituals form a series of private and public events lasting the whole year or the bagr season. The article describes the social life in the neighbourhood within which most ritual activities take place and outlines the historical events which are possibly responsible for the creation of the bagr myth itself as a narrative text. The rest of the article is devoted to the ritualising processes of the bagr myth. Much of the article, particularly this section, is structured around the author's own experiences and participant observation of ritual activities. The aim is to show why the public rituals of bagr are not about initiating particular individuals into a secret society or lodges but are about how Dagara society constitutes itself. The day and night ritual narration of the bagr myth involving different segments of society and described in detail in the second half of the article seems to justify this claim. The article includes excerpts from bagr narratives recorded by the author to illustrate how the text is being constructed and the sort of information it is intended to communicate.

The basic foundation of the business model is the concept of ethics deontology which came through good intentions. The good intentions were then be backed by fundamental foundation that is a combination of triangle TBL and THK. The culmination of a combination of TBL and THK welfare is the creation that is the root of pro human, nature, advantages, and the God .The last foundation, the full disclosure, like a flowers that bloom from the bushes, this is visualize business that will be seen by public through information that distributed by the business. The core of the notion of the business model is essentially on the foundation, namely deontologist approach, or approach based on good intentions action or obligation to follow the God values. As strong as any business model organized, good intentions are the only bricks strongest to it.

Sunarmi, Sunarmi. "Legal Standing Yayasan sebagai Badan Hukum." Talenta Conference Series: Local Wisdom, Social, and Arts (LWSA) 1, no. 1 (October 17, 2018): 264–69. http://dx.doi.org/10.32734/lwsa.v1i1.174.

Full text
Abstract:
In Article 1 No. 1 Act No. 16 of 2001 concerning the Foundation stated that the foundation is a legal entity (rechtspersoon, legal entity) which consists of separated wealth and intended to achieve certain goals in the social, religious, and humanitarian fields, which do not have members. As a legal entity, the foundation has its own assets which are separate from the assets of the foundation's organ, who are the supervisor, managers, and supervisor. If the corporation is in the form of a Limited Liability Company, and the owner is the shareholders, then the owner of the foundation is not the founder of the foundation. The owner of the foundation is the purpose of the foundation itself, so that if there is an alleged deviation from the assets of the foundation, the problem is whether the community has a legal standing to submit a report to the police towards the organ of the foundation which is indicated to violate the foundation, then who has the authority to conduct a foundation monitoring if there is an alleged deviation from the assets of the foundation and who is responsible for the deviation of the assets of the foundation. The above problem is important to be noted when there are many reports from the community members of a foundation association that report the occurrence of illegal acts carried out by the organ of the foundation, while the community and law enforcement still have different interpretations of the understanding that the foundation belongs to the community. Some argue that the foundation is a public legal entity considering the foundation's purpose is social, religious, and humanitarian, so that the foundation aims to serve the public interest, thus the consequence is that the community has the authority to submit reports of alleged fraud towards the assets of the foundation. On the other hand, there are those who argue that foundations are private legal entities because they are established by individuals as specified in Article 9 of Act No. 16 of 2001. This paper aimed to normatively examine who has the legal standing to submit a report on the occurrence of unlawful acts in a foundation using a normative approach. From the results of the study, it is known that in terms of Act No. 16 of 2001 concerning the Foundation, the management of the foundation has a legal standing to represent the interests of the foundation both inside and outside the court (Article 35 paragraph (1). If the management is indicated to have committed an unlawful act that resulted in a loss to the foundation, the management is not authorized to represent the interests of the foundation, which is authorized to represent the interests of the foundation as the party stipulated in the Articles of Association (Article 36). If there is an alleged deviation from the foundation's assets, Chapter VIII of the Investigation of the Foundation determines that the interested third party can submit a written application along with the reason that the court issues a determination to conduct an examination of the foundation. This is done as a form of public supervision of foundations that are suspected of committing acts that are contrary to the Law, Articles of Association, or harming the public interest. If the deviation from the foundation's assets is carried out by the organ of the foundation, then the responsible organ is the foundation itself.

Abstract:
Liberalism and Deep Ecology are usually regarded as mutually exclusive. However, the “evolutionary” tradition of liberal thought, rooted in David Hume and Adam Smith, and including Michael Polanyi and F. A. Hayek, provides a foundation for their reconciliation. Linkage is through Hume and Smith's conception of sympathy, which today means empathy. For Hume, sympathy extends into the animal realm. Sympathy is essential for certain scientific work, and provides an foundation for both liberal and ecological ethics. Deep ecologists such as Arne Naess use the same concept. Linkage is first to biocentric ethics, and then, through examining natural beauty and, via Michael Polanyi's tacit knowledge, ecocentric ethics. The work of Hayek suggests how modern society might be harmonized with the requirements of nature. This deepens J. Baird Callicott's pioneering approach, uniting it with Lewis Hinchman's recent analysis. Liberalism's and Deep Ecology's foundations both benefit from their mutual integration.

AbstractThe Principle of Dependent Choice is shown to be equivalent to: the Baire Category Theorem for Čech-complete spaces (or for complete metric spaces); the existence theorem for generic sets of forcing conditions; and a proof-theoretic principle that abstracts the “Henkin method” of proving deductive completeness of logical systems. The Rasiowa-Sikorski Lemma is shown to be equivalent to the conjunction of the Ultrafilter Theorem and the Baire Category Theorem for compact Hausdorff spaces.

Abstract:
Time management is one of the important skills for housewives, it is even one of the keys to success in running a business. Housewives are the first educators in the family. The education provided by parents, especially mothers, is the core and foundation of overall education before taking formal education or living in society. For this reason, a mother figure is needed who can devote her time to her family, and we will see this more often in the figure of a housewife. Being a housewife and taking care of a business will also be very complicated. However, with good time management all these things can be done. Time management is a way that we can do to balance our time for study or work activities, have fun, and rest effectively. We are given the same time by God which is 24 hours. However, there are some people who are successful in dividing their time there are some who are not successful in dividing their time. The main purpose of dividing time is to be able to do things effectively and efficiently. The problem with mothers is that they actually don't like being targeted, but they themselves are targeting themselves. Therefore it needs to be managed efficiently. Effective time management can help do important things in every working hour. In it every individual or leader can use their time well, delegate tasks, organize work, plan the time for meetings (meetings), carry out effective mental and physical rehabilitation after doing heavy work and experiencing heavy pressure. These are some of the main tasks, which can be carried out well. The location of this service is in the cassava chip business, Mrs. Imah Rosyidah, in the Pengsinan Village of Gunung Sindur, Bogor. The purpose of this service is to provide assistance to employees because most of them consist of housewives so that they can manage their time well. The results of this service can be concluded that managing time is very important and needs to be managed properly so that their activities can be organized and do their work optimally.

Daly, Marwa El. "Challenges and potentials of channeling local philanthropy towards development and aocial justice and the role of waqf (Islamic and Arab-civic endowments) in building community foundations." Abstract:
This work provides a solid theoretical base on philanthropy, religious giving (Islamic zakat, ‘ushour, Waqf -plural: awqaf-, Sadaqa and Christian tithes or ‘ushour), and their implications on giving trends, development work, social justice philanthropy. The field study (quantitative and qualitative) that supports the theoretical framework reflects at a national level the Egyptian public’s perceptions on philanthropy, social justice, human rights, giving and volunteering and other concepts that determine the peoples’ civic engagement. The statistics cover 2000 households, 200 Civil Society Organizations distributed all over Egypt and interviews donors, recipients, religious people and other stakeholders. The numbers reflect philanthropic trends and for the first time provide a monetary estimate of local philanthropy of over USD 1 Billion annually. The survey proves that the per capita share of philanthropy outweighs the per capita share of foreign economic assistance to Egypt, which implies the significance of local giving if properly channeled, and not as it is actually consumed in the vicious circle of ad-hoc, person to person charity. In addition, the study relates local giving mechanisms derived from religion and culture to modern actual structures, like community foundations or community waqf that could bring about sustainable change in the communities. In sum, the work provides a comprehensive scientific base to help understand- and build on local philanthropy in Egypt. It explores the role that local individual giving could play in achieving sustainable development and building a new wave of community foundations not only in Egypt but in the Arab region at large. As a tangible result of this thesis, an innovative model that revives the concept of waqf and builds on the study’s results was created by the researcher and a dedicated board of trustees who succeeded in establishing Waqfeyat al Maadi Community Foundation (WMCF) that not only introduces the community foundation model to Egypt, but revives and modernizes the waqf as a practical authentic philanthropic structure.

Abstract:
Sarah Schenirer is one of the unsung heroes of twentieth-century Orthodox Judaism. The Bais Yaakov schools she founded in interwar Poland had an unparalleled impact on a traditional Jewish society threatened by assimilation and modernity, educating a generation of girls to take an active part in their community. The movement grew at an astonishing pace, expanding to include high schools, teacher seminaries, summer programmes, vocational schools, and youth movements, in Poland and beyond; it continues to flourish throughout the Jewish diaspora. This book explores the movement through the tensions that characterized it, capturing its complexity as a revolution in the name of tradition. The book presents the context which led to its founding, examining the impact of socialism, feminism, Zionism, and Polish electoral politics on the process, and recounts its history, from its foundation in interwar Kraków to its near-destruction in the Holocaust, and its role in the reconstruction of Orthodoxy in subsequent decades. A vivid portrait of Schenirer shines through. The book includes selections from her writings published in English for the first time. Her pioneering, determined character remains the subject of debate in a culture that still regards innovation, female initiative, and women's Torah study with suspicion.

Abstract:
AbstractThe fabricated foundation can be prefabricated in the factory, so it is easy to control the size, weight and quality of components, and it’s easy to transport since the size is controllable. The operation links such as on-site concrete pouring and maintenance, on-site formwork and steel bar binding are omitted, the opening time of foundation pit is reduced, and the construction time is greatly shortened. In this paper, two different types of concrete block fabricated foundation (Foundation-A and Foundation-B) are designed. The foundation is divided into concrete blocks one by one, which are connected by bolts and steel plates on site. In order to study the connection performance and bearing capacity of the two types of foundation, the in-situ test and the numerical simulation analysis of fabricated foundations is carried out. The research shows that both foundation types can meet the requirements of bearing capacity, but Foundation-B is better than Foundation-A in bearing performance, integrity, processing difficulty and construction difficulty.

Abstract:
This paper focuses on the role and relevance of Corporatism in the Italian tradition of economic studies during the 1920s and 1930s. Historiography offers two different interpretations: Corporatism as a propaganda phenomenon and an economic doctrine limiting freedom; Corporatism as a series of policy measures devised to stabilize the Italian economy after WW1. To correctly assess the phenomenon of Corporatism, this paper chooses a different approach: an in depth analysis of the main theoretical answers proposed by Italian economists in regard to the most significant policy issues of the time. For example: corporatist wage and labor policy, the post-1929 relief measures, the bail out of some leading banks, the foundation of the Italian Financial Institute (IMI) in 1931 and of the Industrial Reconstruction Institute (IRI) in 1933, and finally the projected third way between a market economy and a command economy. One of the main conclusions of this research is that the energies and time spent into devising a Corporatist economic system and Corporatist policy measures hindered the advancement of economic studies in Italy.

Abstract:
In this paper we present an algorithm that automatically creates the linkage loop equations for planar 1-DoF linkages of any topology with rotating joints, demonstrated up to 8-bars. The algorithm derives the linkage loop equations from the linkage graph by establishing a cycle basis through a single common edge. Divergent and convergent loops are identified and used to establish the fixed angles of the ternary and higher links. Results demonstrate the automated generation of the linkage loop equations for the five distinct 6-bar mechanisms, Watt I-II and Stephenson I-III, as well as the seventy one distinct 8-bar mechanisms. The resulting loop equations enable the automatic derivation of the Dixon determinant for linkage kinematic analysis of the position of every possible assembly configuration. The loop equations also enable the automatic derivation of the Jacobian for singularity evaluation and tracking of a particular assembly configuration over the desired range of input angles. The methodology provides the foundation for the automated configuration analysis of every topology and every assembly configuration of 1-DoF linkages with rotating joints up to 8-bar. The methodology also provides a foundation for automated configuration analysis of 10-bar and higher linkages.

Abstract:
"Multiculturalism and growing diversity found within client populations encourages therapists to become pluralists in their work. Pluralism is the position, identified by Kenneth Pargament, that therapists take when the cultural story of both the client and therapist are acknowledged to be present in the session. These cultural stories provide the foundation for creative meaning making in the therapeutic process. The COVID pandemic has set a new bar for therapists in for extending themselves beyond what was once comfortable to being increasingly creative and diversified in meeting their clients’ needs. This has involved ways to navigate online or telephone sessions, which subsequently provided therapists with opportunities for interacting with clients outside their typical client base. Or in other words, the need for a broader and more diversified understanding of client needs and ways to promote healing and client resiliency. This workshop will review the foundational elements of pluralism and the building blocks of resiliency (self, mentor, and community of care) with reference to some of the early literature of the effects of the COVID pandemic on therapists and the therapeutic process. Participants will have an opportunity to identify their position on pluralism and the need for diversity in therapy and the effects of the COVID pandemic on their practice."

Abstract:
Rigidity theory deals mostly with the topological computation in mechanical systems, i.e. it aims at making generic statements. Mechanism theory is mainly concerned with the geometrical analysis but again also with generic statements. Even more so for mobility analysis where one is interested in both the generic mobility and that of a particular mechanism. In rigidity theory the mathematical foundation is the topology representation using bar-joint and body-bar graphs, and the corresponding rigidity matrix. In this paper novel geometric rules for constructing the body-bar rigidity matrix are derived for general planar mechanisms comprising revolute and prismatic joints. This allows, for the first time, the treatment of general planar mechanisms with the body-bar approach. The rigidity matrix is also derived for spatial mechanisms with spherical joints. The bar-joint rigidity matrix is shown to be a special case of body-bar representation. It is shown that the rigidity matrices allow for mobility calculation as shown in the paper. This paper is aimed at supplying a unified view and as a result to enable the mechanisms community to employ the theorems and methods used in rigidity theory. An algorithm for mobility determination — the pebble game — is discussed. This algorithm always finds the correct generic mobility if the mechanism can be represented by a body-bar graph.

Abstract:
The kinematic analysis and design of an articulated twin body, four-wheel, robotic vehicle is presented. The mobility of the vehicle is improved by connecting the two bodies with a four-bar linkage rather than the standard revolute-jointed body connection used in earlier designs. When properly proportioned, the new linkage design passively minimizes vehicle off-tracking by allowing the rear wheels to closely track the path of the front wheels. This significantly improves the ability of the vehicle to deal with cluttered environments. We outline the theoretical kinematic model of the four-bar linkage as applied to a twin-bodied, differentially driven vehicle. This model is validated through computer simulation as well as experimentation on a fully operational robotic vehicle. The kinematic model provides the foundation for an actively-controlled, linkage-based tracking system.

Abstract:
Abstract Bar lapping is a key process in fabricating computer hard disk drive heads. The purpose is to remove a small amount of material in a way that minimizes the stripe height variation across the bar. This article presents the first part of this study: establishing a method of simulating the material removal process. The Preston model is identified to be a reasonable constitutive relationship relating lapping rate to pressure and relative velocity. A pressure estimation method is established based on the modified beam on elastic foundation model (MBOEF) to incorporate the effect of surface shape. Simulation is conducted based on the proposed constitutive relationship and MBOEF. Results show good agreement with production observations. Hence the simulation model can serve as a tool to identify the structure of the lapping control model in the second part of this study.

Abstract:
Abstract In this work, the motion differential equations for a multiple-point meshing mechanism with flexible support are established by the Lagrange formula, and solved using a Laplace transform approach. The stable conditions and the formula for calculating this system’s natural frequencies are given and the general dynamic responses, in analytical form, are developed. The analysis pays special attention to the zero state response to a step function and constant loading inputs. Furthermore, the dynamic torques acting on the basic shaft and torsional bar are also discussed. This research lays the foundation for the analysis and design of this new type of transmission mechanism.

Abstract:
This paper presents our recent work on designing and developing a geometric constraint based motion design software system for planar four-bar linkages. Given a motion task, the software computes possible four-bar linkage topologies as well as its dimensions. This capability to analyze the given task and find the best type of the linkage and the dimensions simultaneously sets it apart from any other linkage design software. The Four-Bar Motion Design System (4MDS) makes the synthesis and simulation capabilities available to mechanism designers in an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) environment. Instead of taking a black box approach to mechanism design, wherein the user simply enters the motion requirements and the software outputs parameters of mechanisms, this software facilitates a dialog with the designer by providing various paths to simulation and synthesis in a design session. The designer has complete control over the specification of motion task, interactive tweaking of the motion, choice of linkage topology computed, dimensional changes, and their apparent effect on motion, all done in real time. This interactivity enhances designers kinematic experience. The underlying theoretical foundation of this paper is based on our earlier work on a task-driven approach to unified type and dimensional synthesis of planar four-bar linkage mechanisms. Instead of treating a planar four-bar mechanism as a set of connected rigid links and joints, we treat them as line or circle constraint generators. With that view, the synthesis problem is reduced to extracting geometric constraints hidden in a given motion task and the simulation is reduced to assembling constraints realizable by mechanical dyads. The algorithm employed is simple and efficient and permits real-time computation, and thus precludes using a limiting database-oriented approach. This tool should make innovation of mechanical motion generating devices accessible to novice and experienced designers alike.
