Can. J. Plant Sci. 91: 325–335. Polyploidy is widely accepted to play an important role in the evolution and breeding of plant species. However, a low seed set rate significantly hindered the development of polyploid rice breeding. Our results show that the seed set rate in polyploid meiosis stability (PMeS) line HN2026-4X was above 80%, but less than 40% in the other two tetraploid lines (4X indicates a tetraploid line and 2X indicates a diploid line). Furthermore, the seed set rate of Balilla-4X×HN2026-4X was also higher (67.18%) compared with that of Balilla-4X×NJ11-4X (37.26%), suggesting that the PMeS trait was transmitted to the next generation. The significantly higher seed set rate was attributed to the high pollen fertility and viability, as well as the normal meiosis of the HN2026-4X line as a male parent and also to successful embryogenesis. Investigations into embryo microstructure suggested that the embryo development pattern in Balilla-4X×HN2026-4X appeared normal at all stages, but many changes were discovered in Balilla-4X×NJ11-4X. The embryos were mainly defective at the four following stages: 1 d after pollination (DAP), 2–3 DAP, 4-5 DAP, and 10-15 DAP. The pattern of embryo developmental failure was similar in the two hybrids, but the abortive frequency in Balilla-4X×HN2026-4X was significantly lower than that of Balilla-4X×NJ11-4X at the respective stages. Additionally, aberrant fertilization, poor endosperm development, and abnormal embryo polarization also contributed to the low seed set in the hybrid of Balilla-4X×NJ11-4X. This study suggests that the PMeS line is a valuable resource, which could be used to develop tetraploid rice hybrids with superior yield.

Nel gennaio 1932, a quasi dieci anni dalla riforma più importante e più discus-sa del fascismo, quella della scuola, l'ispettore scolastico Renato Moro preparò una dettagliata relazione sulla condizione della scuola elementare lontana da fina-lità propagandistiche e destinata ad uso interno del ministero dell'Educazione na-zionale. Ponendo a confronto la pubblicazione ufficiale prodotta pochi mesi dopo dal ministero con la relazione preparata da Moro, che qui viene riprodotta inte-gralmente, il saggio mette in luce il divario esistente tra gli obiettivi dichiarati dal fascismo e la realtà, tra i risultati propagandati e quelli effettivamente conseguiti. Ne emerge, tra l'altro, l'immagine di una società meridionale ancora arretrata ma non immobile, che anche nei suoi strati medio-bassi chiedeva allo Stato più istru-zione e la possibilità di accesso alle scuole medie, che la riforma aveva ostacolato in molti modi. Il regime, impegnato ad ottenere una più decisa fascistizzazione del-la scuola, sottovalutò gli effetti negativi prodotti dalla presenza invadente del par-tito e dell'Opera nazionale Balilla, e dal disordine normativo che ne accompagnò costantemente l'azione. Il succedersi continuo di provvedimenti, ripensamenti e adattamenti minò l'immagine di solidità e coerenza che il regime voleva dare di sé nel suo progetto di radicale trasformazione degli italiani.

Abstract:
This article analyzes and compares the 1943 and 1948 editions of the Camp Manual, which provides instructions for the camp commanders of the Youth Front, the Francoist equivalent of Mussolini’s Balilla and the Nazi Hitler-Jugend. In these manuals, the camp appears as a microcosm that reflects the organic structure and government practice of the Francoist State, including its biopolitical aspects: health, food storage, calorie consumption... The political culture that they transmit and its variants maintain an affinity with the normalization of the bodies of the campers: while the Phalangist subculture imposes strength, martiality and rectitude upon the bodies, the Catholic subculture imposes meekness and sinuous forms. The two editions of the manual also reflect the evolution of Franco’s regime. In the 1943 edition, the leaflet of the camp leader reflects the Fascistization of the State. The 1948 edition, on the other hand, stresses the legitimization of the encyclical Divini Illius Magistri or the imposition of a Christian pedagogy (principle of self-direction), and it speaks of the establishment of a Catholic State. This includes the concept of the culture of the participative subject, linked in turn to a new normalization of the bodies (greater distention, oblique lines), without this implying the disappearance of the traditional forms of control or the automatic movements (parades, formations), characteristic of the culture of the subject that gives unity to Francoism.

Abstract:
While vacation colonies, camps for children and young people, well-equipped beaches and playgrounds, and the first national parks were conceived in Italy during the Liberal period, it was not until the late 1920s/1930s that they were created and transformed by the Fascist regime. This article will analyse the purposes of the use of the environment and protected areas by Fascist organisations during the Fascist regime by different social groups and classes. It will try to answer several questions: how did Fascist mass organisations (youth organisations such as the Opera Nazionale Balilla (ONB) and Gioventò Italiana del Littorio (GIL), leisure organisations like the Opera Nazionale Dopolavoro (OND), sports associations) relate to environmental space? Which popular activities were conceived for open-air, urban and national parks? How did the relationship between outdoor leisure and the environment develop in the ‘new’ middle class in the 1930s? How did Fascism conceive of the relationship between human beings and nature? The Nazi regime and the US New Deal were the strongest models at that time in terms of the politics of land conservation and leisure time. Did Fascism look to those experiments; did Fascism find its own modern ‘conservative’ relationship with the environment? This article will try to answer some of these questions, mindful of the lack of studies on Italy in comparison with the expanding historiography on the German and American cases.

Abstract:
Buncis merupakan salah satu sayuran yang mempunyai peranan penting sebagai sumber gizi masyarakat dan sebagai sumber ekonomi. Rerata hasil buncis masih rendah (< 15 t/ha). Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan produksi buncis baik kuantitas maupun kualitas, yaitu melalui penggunaan benih bermutu tinggi. Benih bermutu tinggi dapat berupa varietas unggul baru buncis tegak, yang sampai saat ini belum ada varietas yang didaftar. Skrining kultivar-kultivar buncis tegak telah dilakukan dan menghasilkan empat kultivar yang menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Hasil dari uji pendahuluan dan uji lanjutan menunjukkan ternyata buncis tegak cocok untuk dikembangkan di dataran medium dan dataran rendah sampai 200 m dpl. Oleh karena itu, sebagai syarat untuk pendaftaran varietas telah dilakukan uji keunggulan di tiga lokasi dataran medium dan dua musim tanam. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan varietas unggul buncis tegak untuk dataran medium, kualitas baik (seragam, renyah, dan polong hijau terang) dan produksi tinggi (> 20 t/ha). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan ialah acak kelompok dengan enam perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas lima nomor yang diuji, yaitu Le - 02, Le - 44, Balitsa 1, Balitsa 2, dan Balitsa 3 serta BC 02 sebagai pembanding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Balitsa 1, Balitsa 2, dan Balitsa 3 merupakan varietas unggul buncis tegak untuk dataran medium yang disukai konsumen dan produksi lebih besar, masing-masing 16,25 t/ha, 19,50 t/ha, dan 19,71 t/ha. Dari hasil kegiatan uji keunggulan ini didapat tiga calon varietas unggul buncis tegak berkualitas baik dan produksi tinggi dan beralasan untuk didaftarkan.

For years the unlawful drugs market was described as an almost solely male activity. However, in the recent times, the data of women imprisonment for their involvement in this kind of illicit trade have pointed to a fresh perspective in which there are gradual insertion of them in such practices criminalized. If before the explanations of the accession of women to drug trafficking occurred for the account of affective relationships, the study presented here, a pioneer about the female criminality in Goiás, points out a change in behavioral in the entrance of women in the illicit drug trade, pointing to certain autonomy of choice and decision on their part. In that sense, the aim employee in this dissertation, the theoretical contributions through Symbolic Interaction, objective sought to understand the insertion of the women incarcerated for the crime of drug trafficking over the experiences lived by them.
Durante anos o mercado ilegal das drogas foi descrito como uma atividade quase que exclusivamente masculina. Contudo, nos últimos tempos, os dados de aprisionamento de mulheres por envolvimento nesse tipo de comércio ilícito têm apontado para uma nova perspectiva em que há a inserção gradativa delas nessas práticas criminalizadas. Se antes as explicações da adesão de mulheres ao tráfico de drogas ocorriam por conta de relações afetivas, o estudo aqui apresentado, pioneiro sobre a criminalidade feminina em Goiás, aponta para uma mudança de comportamento na entrada das mulheres no comércio ilícito de drogas, assinalando para certa autonomia de escolha e decisão por parte delas. Nesse sentido, os objetivos desta dissertação, por meio das contribuições teóricas do Interacionismo Simbólico, foram compreender a inserção das mulheres encarceradas pelo crime de tráfico de drogas e as experiências vividas por elas.

Abstract:
This work aims to demonstrate that sustainability stands as a constitutional principle that is part of the regulatory framework of the constitution, limiting and conditioning spaces of state discretion. Therefore, this work begins arguing the constitutionalization of law, and its consequences to the knowledge of the legal system, such as: the recognition of the normative force of the constitution, which must be permanent and sustainable over time; the centrality of fundamental rights (in its vertical and horizontal effectiveness); and the approach of law with philosophy, where the constitution is perceived as a plexus of values, values which conform stability, dignity and development of the social body. This theoretical framework brings important consequences for the Administrative Law, because in this paradigm, state is seen not only as a large inductor and protagonist of public policies, but primarily also as the great conductor of constitutional design, inducing and encouraging state and private actions in favor of social development, now and in the future. What becomes even more important because future needs protection; claim what is justified based on the responsibility ethics of Hans Jonas, which warns that the indiscriminate use of technology and technique, irrationality of the management of state power and the uncertainty consequences of the changes inflicted on nature, bring a real danger to the continuity of human life on Earth. Thus, based on the paradigm of (perennial) normative force of the constitution and philosophical studies of Hans Jonas, this work defends the recognition of a fundamental right to the future, and more, the recognition of a constitutional principle derived from this fundamental right: the principle of sustainability. At this point, from the recognition of sustainability as a constitutional principle (and as a principle, it must shape the entire application of law), it is shown how this principle interferes with the perception of real public interest, and in this way, how it will be understood as an interest embodied to the constitutional project, in the present and in the future. At this point, any areas of decision-making can only be interpreted / understood from a frame of sustainability, what means a frame which would compel the continued implementation of the constitutional project, and continuous and increased realization of fundamental rights. In this context, it is proposed that legal interpretation is attached with the aforementioned frame, consolidating a hermeneutic with eyes on the future and on the sustainability of the constitutional project, which will restrict the freedom of decision-making action, particularly state discretion, in order to refrain selfish interests and situations of unsustainability; what will have a material impact on the understanding of institutes as existential minimum, reserve of the possible, and social setback prohibition, institutes that must be understood in the light of the sustainability here mentioned.
O presente trabalho visa a demonstrar que a sustentabilidade erige-se como um princípio constitucional que integra a moldura normativa da constituição, limitando e condicionando os espaços de liberdade para a decisão estatal. Para tanto, a presente dissertação inicia sua argumentação tendo por base a constitucionalização do direito e suas consequências para o entendimento do sistema jurídico, tais como: o reconhecimento da força normativa da constituição, que deve ser perene e sustentável no tempo; a centralidade dos direitos fundamentais, em suas eficácias vertical e horizontal; e a aproximação do Direito com a Filosofia, onde a constituição passa a ser percebida como um plexo de valores, valores estes que conformam (e direcionam) a estabilidade, dignidade e desenvolvimento do corpo social. Marco teórico que traz consequências relevantes para o Direito Administrativo e para o balizamento das decisões estatais, porque, neste novel paradigma, o Estado passa a ser visto não apenas como um grande indutor e protagonista das políticas públicas, mas principalmente como o grande maestro do projeto constitucional, induzindo e incentivando as ações estatais e particulares, em prol do desenvolvimento social no presente e no futuro. O que assume especial relevo na medida da necessidade de proteção do futuro, afirmação que se justifica com base na Ética da Responsabilidade do filósofo Hans Jonas, que alerta que o uso indiscriminado da tecnologia e da técnica, a irracionalidade do manejo do poder estatal e a incerteza em relação às modificações infligidas à natureza trazem um real perigo à continuidade da vida humana na Terra. Deste modo, defende-se, com base no paradigma da força normativa (perene) da constituição e dos estudos filosóficos de Hans Jonas, o reconhecimento de um direito fundamental ao futuro, e mais, o reconhecimento de um princípio constitucional derivado deste direito fundamental: o princípio da sustentabilidade. Neste ponto, a partir do reconhecimento da sustentabilidade como princípio constitucional (e como princípio, passando a conformar e condicionar toda a aplicação do Direito), demonstra-se como este princípio interfere na percepção do que seja o real interesse público, que longe de ser o interesse secundário do Estado, ou de uma maioria eventual, passa a configurar como o interesse consubstanciado na efetiva concretização, no presente e no futuro, do projeto constitucional. Neste ponto, os eventuais espaços de liberdade decisória somente poderão ser interpretados/compreendidos a partir de uma moldura de sustentabilidade, ou seja, uma moldura que preconize a efetivação contínua do projeto constitucional, e a concretização presente, contínua e crescente dos direitos fundamentais. Neste contexto, será proposto que a hermenêutica jurídica seja voltada ao cumprimento da moldura mencionada, consubstanciando uma hermenêutica com olhos voltados ao futuro, e à sustentabilidade do projeto constitucional, e que restringirá a liberdade de ação decisória, notadamente a discricionariedade estatal, impedindo que interesses egoísticos gerem situações de insustentabilidade; o que terá repercussão relevante no entendimento de institutos como: mínimo existencial, reserva do possível e vedação do retrocesso, que passarão a ser entendidos à luz da sustentabilidade aqui mencionada.

Soil classification is a valuable tool in the ordination of its use and management, reducing the potential of this resource be used above or below its support capacity, and, thus, is a mechanism for its conservation. Contrasting with the conservation of soil, gullies are the most serious form of erosion and are generated by the concentration of runoff in rills, which expand and form large incisions. This form of soil degradation has several examples in the literature, which characterizes it as being an extensive problem. Thus, the development of technologies for the recovery and / or stabilization of gullies at low cost by using alternative materials so this practice has greater economic viability, is required. In this paper, the method used in the recovery of this erosion was the use of scrap tires as materials for its fill as well as use of mechanical, vegetative and soil management practices for its conservation. It was proceeded the evaluation of this recovery technique, and both the taxonomic classification of this soil, by Brazilian System of Soil Classification (Sistema Brasileiro de Classificação dos Solos, Embrapa, 2006) as the technique classification, by the Evaluation System of Agricultural Soil Suitability (Sistema de Avaliação da Aptidão Agrícola dos Solos, Ramalho Filho & Beek, 1995) of a soil of a lot of Agrarian Reform Settlement, in the city of Baliza – GO. This soil is degraded, and goes through an intensive process of linear erosion, both by rill as for gully erosion. The classification of this soil proved to be a valuable tool to determine its limitations and better use and management. With this tool was possible to determine the severe limitations that this soil have for agricultural use, as well as infer about the low level of technology under which this soil is handled that is taking it to its degradation. The technique adopted to halt this gully was efficient to contain the progress of erosion. Despite the adoption of an alternative technique for recovery the soil, a large amount of money was spent for the stabilization of soil erosion, which showed the severity of this problem. Despite the stabilization of this erosion have had the involvement of local residents, after the end of this intervention, they did not continue to adopt the practices of soil conservation that were recommended. Thus, the lack of maintenance, by the neighboring farmers to gully erosion, in the stabilized area, may propitiate the emergence of new erosion in that area.
A classificação do solo é uma ferramenta importante na ordenação de seu uso e manejo, reduzindo a possibilidade deste recurso ser usado acima ou aquém de sua capacidade de suporte, sendo, deste modo, um mecanismo de sua conservação. Contrapondo, com a conservação do solo, as voçorocas se constituem na forma mais grave da erosão e são geradas pela concentração do escoamento superficial em sulcos erosivos, que se expandem e formam grandes incisões. Esta forma de degradação do solo tem vários exemplos citados na literatura, o que a caracteriza como sendo abrangente. Deste modo, o desenvolvimento de tecnologias para a recuperação e/ou estabilização de voçorocas a baixo custo, com uso de materiais alternativos para que esta prática tenha maior viabilidade econômica, se faz necessário. No presente trabalho, o método utilizado na recuperação desta erosão foi o uso de pneus inservíveis como material para seu preenchimento, bem como uso de práticas mecânicas, vegetativas e edáficas de conservação do solo. Foi realizada a avaliação desta técnica de recuperação, bem como as classificações taxonômica, pelo Sistema Brasileiro de Classificação dos Solos (Embrapa, 2006) e técnica, pelo Sistema de Avaliação da Aptidão Agrícola dos Solos (Ramalho Filho & Beek, 1995), do solo de um lote de Assentamento de Reforma Agrária, no município de Baliza – GO, que se encontra degradado, e passa por processo intenso de erosão linear, tanto por sulco quanto voçoroca. A classificação deste solo demonstrou ser uma ferramenta importante para determinar suas limitações e seu melhor uso e manejo. Com esta ferramenta, foi possível determinar as severas limitações que este solo apresenta para o uso agrícola, bem como, inferir a respeito do baixo nível tecnológico sob o qual este solo é manejado que está levando-o a sua degradação. Apesar da adoção de uma técnica alternativa de recuperação, foi despendido um grande montante econômico para a estabilização da erosão, o que evidenciou a gravidade deste problema. A técnica adotada mostrou-se eficiente para conter o avanço da erosão. Apesar da estabilização desta erosão ter tido o envolvimento de moradores do local, depois de finalizada a intervenção, os mesmos não continuaram a adotar as práticas de conservação do solo recomendadas. Assim, a falta de manutenção na área estabilizada por parte dos agricultores vizinhos à voçoroca pode propiciar o surgimento de novos processos erosivos nessa área.

Esta pesquisa pretende entrar em contato com os fundamentos da experiência psicanalítica, a partir da teoria de Freud e Lacan, com o objetivo de analisar o posicionamento do analista em relação ao posicionamento do mestre. Partimos do fato de que o acesso ao inconsciente está fortemente atrelado à experiência, em especial à experiência de linguagem. Assim, recorremos à origem da psicanálise para observar como seu fundamento está vinculado ao movimento freudiano que chamamos de um descolar-se da posição do mestre. Ressaltamos as noções de realidade psíquica, de transferência e de repetição. Em relação aos ensinos de Lacan, observamos que o tensionamento entre o posicionamento do mestre e o do psicanalista se torna explícito e, para balizar a discussão nesse campo, colocamos em evidência a relação entre o sujeito e o Outro, a ordem dos significantes, e as operações de alienação e separação.
This research aims to approach the fundamentals of the psychanalytic experience, from the theory of Freud and Lacan, with the goal of analyzing the position of the analyst in relation to the positioning of the master. We set off from the fact that the access to the unconscious is strongly linked to experience, especially the experience of language. Thus, we turn to the origin of psychoanalysis, in order to observe how its foundation is linked to the Freudian movement that we call a detachment of the position of the master. We emphasize the notions of psychic reality, transfer and repetition. In regards to Lacan’s teachings, we observed that the tension between the position of the master and that of the psychoanalyst becomes explicit, and to mark out the discussion in this field, we highlighted the relationship between the subject and the Other, the order of signifiers, and the operations of alienation and separation.

Abstract:
O presente estudo visa entender e analisar a influência do constrangimento posicional da baliza no processo decisional ofensivo no Hóquei em Patins, efectuada a partir da observação do jogo e visando a optimização do rendimento desportivo. Perante a possibilidade de ocorrência de acções particulares à modalidade em torno da baliza, em permanente dinâmica e interacção com o contexto, procurou-se compreender o comportamento decisional ofensivo do hoquista que actue atrás da baliza, através de uma perspectiva baseada na psicologia ecológica e na teoria dos sistemas dinâmicos. A amostra do estudo foi constituída por 10 jogos do Campeonato Nacional da Primeira Divisão 2007/2008, entre equipas que se classificaram para o play-off de acesso ao título, tendose registado 816 sequências ofensivas, que resultaram num total de 2732 multieventos. Em termos metodológicos, recorreu-se à metodologia observacional, tendo-se efectuado a exploração dos dados fundamentalmente através da análise sequencial, tanto prospectiva como retrospectiva, utilizando o software SDIS-GSEQ. A partir dos resultados obtidos foi possível estimar padrões de conduta relativos ao tipo processo ofensivo analisado, que permitem concluir que: (1) é significativa a probabilidade de um início sem bola de frente activar a ocorrência de acções na área de baliza e de um início com bola de frente activar a ocorrência de acções atrás da baliza; (2) o início com bola no geral e o início com bola de frente em particular, têm uma probabilidade significativa de activar uma acção mais linear. Por outro lado, o início sem bola no geral e o início sem bola com paragem em particular, têm uma probabilidade significativa de activar um comportamento decisional mais aleatório; (3) é significativa a probabilidade de um início sem bola activar uma resposta defensiva pela frente da baliza e de um início com bola activar uma resposta defensiva atrás da baliza; (4) é significativa a probabilidade do modo de comportamento decisional ofensivo no desenvolvimento do processo influenciar a eficiência das acções de finalização, com as acções lineares a potenciarem a ocorrência de acções visando o controlo da bola e as acções não lineares a potenciarem a ocorrência de situações de remate; (5) é significativa a probabilidade do modo de comportamento decisional defensivo no desenvolvimento do processo influenciar a eficácia das acções de finalização, com uma resposta defensiva atrás da baliza a activar uma acção final com eficácia relativa com controlo da bola e uma resposta defensiva pela frente da baliza a activar uma acção final com remate.

L’obiettivo del presente elaborato è proporre un adattamento di due scene tratte dalla webserie Skam España, incentrata sulle vicende di un gruppo di adolescenti di Madrid. Il focus principale della proposta di traduzione sono gli elementi dell’oralità e del linguaggio colloquiale, i quali spesso vengono eliminati in fase di adattamento (doppiaggio e/o sottotitolaggio) e sono invece fondamentali per un prodotto di questo genere. Il primo capitolo presenta la serie, concentrandosi inizialmente sulla webserie norvegese Skam, andata in onda tra il 2015 e il 2017, i cui diritti sono poi stati acquistati da numerose reti televisive europee e internazionali. Verrà fatta una breve sintesi della prima e della terza stagione, con accenni ai personaggi e ai temi principali, per poi passare a Skam España, il remake prodotto da Zeppelin TV a partire dal 2018. Anche in questo caso verrà fatta una breve sintesi delle tre stagioni che la compongono, concentrandosi maggiormente sulla seconda (da cui sono tratte le clip che verranno adattate), e una spiegazione di temi e personaggi. Infine, verranno illustrate le caratteristiche del format di Skam, che lo rendono un prodotto audiovisivo particolarmente innovativo e unico. Il secondo capitolo dell’elaborato propone un’analisi e una spiegazione del fansubbing, il fenomeno del sottotitolaggio amatoriale ad opera dai fan, parlando inizialmente delle caratteristiche tecniche che lo distinguono dal sottotitolaggio professionale e a seguire della storia e dell’evoluzione di questo fenomeno. Il terzo e ultimo capitolo propone due esempi di adattamento di scene della serie, preceduti da un breve riassunto accompagnato da un’analisi linguistica del testo originale e seguiti da un commento in cui si illustrano e si motivano le scelte di traduzione impiegate nella realizzazione dei sottotitoli. Infine, l’elaborato si conclude con un riepilogo del lavoro svolto e con la proposta di una serie di possibili approfondimenti futuri.

The introductory chapter in this study introduces the reader to the overall problem that concernsLawrence Kohlberg and Sven G. Hartman's moral education models. The purpose and questions ofthis studie specifies the overall problem in order to facilitate the process of answer the researchquestions, which is largely about which of Kohlberg's and Hartman's theory one can reasonablyadvocate in the context of, when teachers plan their lessons. Also how do the theories relate to eachother based on the source material. This chapter also describes the hermeneutical method anddocument analysis used to answer the questions. Both Kohlberg's and Hartman's theories aredescribed in this chapter, as well as a problematisation of them. Since the source material consistsof freely written texts of young people, this chapter also discuss ethical considerations. Chapter Twopresents the result, consisting of quoted texts written by the youngsters. The texts presents theirthoughts and arguments about different moral or ethical problems. These problems are divided intothree categories, material and resource distribution, power distribution (political) and solutions toinequality. This chapter also includes the analyses of the result by Kohlberg's and Hartman'stheories. Chapter three, analysis and discussion, answers the questions as to whether teachers haveany benefit from these theories, as well as what one can derive from comparing these theories witheach other. In conclusion, this chapter presents a discussion about which theory is most suitable touse by teachers in the schools, based on the source material. Although the chapter, analysis anddiscussion, mentioning advantages of both theories, the analysis suggests that Kohlberg's theoryweighs a little heavier in a school kontext than Hartman's theory.

Bawang merah merupakan komoditas utama di Indonesia yang digunakan sebagai bumbu masak dan obat, sehingga ketersediaannya sepanjang tahun sangat penting untuk mencukupi kebutuhan tersebut. Margahayu Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran (Balitsa) Lembang (1.250 m dpl) dari bulan Agustus s.d. Oktober 2020. Materi yang digunakan berupa 14 varietas bawang merah dari Badan Penelitian dan pengembangan Pertanian (Balitbangtan), yaitu: Sembrani, Maja Cipanas, Bima Brebes, Kuning, Trisula, Mentes, Kramat 1, Violetta 1 Agrihorti, Violetta 2 Agrihorti, Violetta 3 Agrihorti, Ambassador 1 Agrihorti, Ambassador 2 Agrihorti, Ambassador 3 Agrihorti, dan Ambassador 4 Agrihorti. Pertumbuhan 14 varietas bawang merah selama penanaman cukup baik. Violetta 2 Agrihorti menunjukkan jumlah umbi per rumpun, berat basah per rumpun, berat kering eskip umbi per rumpun, dan berat benih per rumpun tertinggi dibanding varietas lainnya, yaitu masing-masing 9,70 umbi; 144,53 gram, 85,69 gram dan 31,59 gram. Sedangkan berat benih per plot tertinggi terdapat pada varietas Sembrani. Pertumbuhan dan produksi benih bawang merah dipengaruhi oleh varietas.

Women participation in India’s workforce is low, and this needs to improve for India to reap its demographic dividend. The progressing economy of India needs 119 million skilled workers between 2017-2022. However, around 88.5 million women are yet not into any form of education, employment, or training. The proportion of working-age women receiving any form of vocational training over the past decade has only increased from 6.8% in 2011-12 to 6.9% in 2018-19, Vs an increase of 14.6% to 15.7% for men. There is an imminent requirement to empower girls and women in India through quality education and skilling. The Open and distance learning system can play a major role in achieving this mission. National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), an ODL institution, is providing quality education and skill training to girls and women in the country through its special programs. The present paper mainly focuses on NIOS experience in integrating vocational training with school education for girls in more than 300 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBVs), special Government residential schools for girls. This is in line with National Education Policy 2020, which recommends integrating Vocational Education into the educational offerings of all Secondary Schools over the next decade. An attempt will be made in this paper to present the concerted efforts by NIOS for the education of girls and women, its impact, and the way forward.

Abstract:
The adaptation pressure of youths to a labor market with a low predictability degree determines the necessity of developing certain competences which can be easily transferrable and which can ensure the personal and professional success. We have considered non cognitive abilities (attitudes, emotions, behaviours) which proved to be significant predictors of success and mental health (Heckman, 2008) and which contribute significantly to a rise in emotional strength and to a wide range of adaptative strategies imposed by contemporary society (Opre et al., 2018). The speciality literature confirms the importance of non-cognitive abilities in the students’ / pupils’ academic success (Heckman et al., 2006; Heckman, 2008; Deming, 2015; Balica et al., 2016). The predictability degree of diverse non cognitive abilities over academic success is different as most studies do not supply relevant data about abilities such as self-efficacy, growth mindset or social awareness (Claro & Loeb, 2019), while abilities like self-management defined as the ability to regulate one’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in different situations (Duckworth & Carlson, 2013) represents a good predictor of academic achievement (Blair & Raver, 2015; Riggs et al., 2016). We consider self-management as being that umbrella construct which refers to abilities such as self-control, self-regulation, self-discipline, will power and self-power (Duckworth & Kern, 2011). Under the circumstances in which students with major risk abandonment participate in specific activities to develop personal, socio-emotional and learning management abilities, our study proposes to examine the variation of self-management abilities of students who participated in these activities and of students who did not participate in the activities and who are not prone to risk abandonment. Also, we wish to investigate if there is a relation between students’ self-management abilities and student achievement.
