Due to the injuries and inconvenience that picking balls caused, a number of ball pickup robot showed up in recent years. The existing ball pickup robots have a common problem that is they can’t complete the picking task at a fast speed for they are set to pick up all the balls. Put it another way, when facing multiple balls, their efficiency decreases to some extent. Different from their idea of picking all the balls, the new strategy in this paper aims to propose can balance efficiency and the degree of completion (picking enough balls) for the ball pick up robot. The application of robotic systems is widespread in all fields of life and sport. Tennis ball collection robots have recently become popular because of their potential for saving time and energy and increasing the efficiency of training sessions. In this study, an unmanned and autonomous tennis ball collection robot was designed and produced that used LiDAR for 2D mapping of the environment and a single camera for detecting tennis balls. A novel method was used for the path planning and navigation of the robot. A fuzzy controller was designed for controlling the robot during the collection ope

Clay ball is a pavement surface defect which refers to a clump in which clay or dirt is mixed with hot asphalt mixture. Clay ball is typically caused by a combination of aggregate contamination of clay or soil, high aggregate moisture, and low production temperature at the asphalt plant. It usually appears a few weeks or months after paving under traffic load, after being liquefied and knocked from the pavement surface. Clay balls can be the source of potholing, raveling, and other issues such as moisture infiltration and reduced ride quality. This paper presents an investigation of the clay b

Ball mill grinding is an important operation in the processing of most minerals, in that it may be used to produce particles of the required size and shape, to liberate minerals from each other for concentration purposes, and to increase the powder surface area. Grinding of minerals is probably the most energy consuming task and optimization of this operation has vital importance in processing plant operations to achieve the lowest operating costs. Predicting the complete product size distribution, mill specifications and power draw are important parameters of this optimization. In this study
