Abstract:

Abstract:

This paper, based on econometric techniques, has done a study to improve the predictions of the stress test, concerning the estimation of impairment losses. The main results obtained are: 1) the impact of the explanatory variables on the impairment loss is different at stages of growth, compared to times of recession; 2) there is a certain inertia of the dependent variable, but this inertia is different in intensity, and even the sign in the growth stages concerning the stages of recession; 3) of the explanatory variables, nominal GDP and equity are those that have a greater impact on the impairment loss; 4) finally, the two dummy variables that assess the impact of adjustment to market value of assets in the process of mergers and acquisitions that occurred in 2010, and regulatory changes implemented in 2012, have been statistically significant and with the expected signs. Abstract:
In order to reduce floor impact sound in apartment houses, 30 types of floor coverings were chosen to evaluate a performance of reduction in impact sound in the reverberation chamber. In the test of performance of reduction in impact sound using bang machine, a performance of impact sound reduction can be ensured at a low frequency band of 63 Hz and 100 Hz. However, impact sound was amplified at a band of 80 Hz and 125 Hz except for some floor coverings. In the test of performance of reduction in impact sound using a rubber ball drop at a height of 100 cm, a performance of reduction in impact sound was improved from a band of 50 Hz up to 400 Hz. In the test of rubber ball drop at a height of 40 cm, which was similar to the impact of children's running, a performance of reduction in impact sound was improved from a band of 80 Hz and 160 Hz up to 400 Hz.

Abstract:
Seed banks play a crucial role in arid plant communities because they confer stability and long-term persistence. However, seed banks have high temporal and spatial variability, with dramatic changes in density and composition. The aim of this study was to test whether seasonal change affected seed bank community structure and spatial pattern. Moreover, we wanted to know if the effect driven by environmental factors on the seed bank was constant year round. We sampled the seed bank at 188 points along seven parallel transects through a gypsum system in central Spain. Soil samples were taken twice (September and April) in contiguous plots. In each plot we measured environmental parameters, including micro- and macroslope, vegetation band, shrub cover, lichen crust cover and landform. A nearly threefold decrease in seed bank density occurred between September (16,230 seeds m–2) and April (5960 seeds m–2). Seasonal changes in density varied widely among species; however, a seed bank was present for most species at both sampling dates. For several well-studied species (Lepidium subulatum and Helianthemum squamatum), seed losses were within the range of losses by emergence reported in the literature. In both seasons, seed bank composition was controlled mainly by community band and microslope. Sampling season had a significant, but minor effect on seed bank composition. Moreover, a high spatial correlation existed in terms of seed density and richness through the two studied seasons. These results show that the seed bank keeps a constant structure even under substantial variation in density.

Abstract:
Regional Bank is a commercial bank whose shares owned by the provincial government. So that, the Regional Bank plays indirectly a very large role in regional development. However, these Regional Banks have not contributed significantly to the development of their respective regions. From this description, this study aims to analyze the health performance of Regional Banks after the global economic crisis in 2008 using the Chow Test and the Hausman Test. This study has a population of 26 Regional Banks and a sample of 25 banks which are selected using purposive sampling. The result showed that from their financial ratios, Regional Banks tend to be in very healthy condition. Based on the research period from 2009 to 2019, the Regional Banks also shows results that tend to be very healthy. In terms of financial ratios and research period, the Loan to Deposit ratio tends to show fairly healthy results. Both of these results are supported by adjusted R2 using the Chow Test and Hausman Test of 0.86 which means that all of these financial ratios have an effect of 86% with details that Capital Adequacy Ratio, Net Performing Loan, Net Interest Margin, and Loan to Deposit Ratio has a significant positive effect, while Return on Equity has positive and insignificant effect and Operational Cost of Operating Cost of Operating Income has a significant negative effect on Return on Assets. Abstract:
AbstractQuestioning the assumption that identities can be controlled through a shared organisational culture, the article explores the dispersion of a discourse of diversity into leadership identities in a Danish bank and building society. Underlying this focus is the question of whether a number of local and global influences may interact and lead to the adoption of a shared organisational and leadership norms, identifiable in managers’ constructions of leadership identities. To study these issues, a critical discourse analysis is carried out of interviews with two middle managers in the bank, which involves close analysis of the language used by the respondents to construct their leadership identities. While the respondents present comparable identities to the interviewer, the analysis reveals that the they draw on different discourses and sources of inspiration as well as employ a number of different discursive means to present their respective identities. This, the article argues, may be the result of a number of influences emerging from the individual style of the respondent, the context of the interview and the discourses present both within and outside the organisation.

Abstract:
Coronavirus crisis from 2020 in USA is a mixture of financial and economic crisis that happened in 1929-33 and 2007-09. The body of work is permeated with attitudes in regards to the coronavirus crisis from 2020 and previous financial crisis from 2007 to 2009 by the world renowned economists and Nobel Prize winners Joseph Stiglitz and Pol Krugman and former presidents of the Federal Reserve Bank Ben Bernanke, Alen Greenspan and others. The US Federal Reserve Bank opted with a relaxed approach to the monetary politics during the coronavirus crisis - a new-old approach that they picked many times before. Current coronavirus crisis measures to the monetary politics in USA on one side will contribute to deflation while on the other side it will grow consumption and production with delay until 2021. Because of the social distancing during the coronavirus crisis, new problems emerged like the economic distancing of the USA economy, enormous debts to FRB on all levels because of emission of securities, bonds, mortgage and other form of securities which caused growth of activity of the top notch monetary institution in USA.

Abstract:
For the last few decades, the immunochromatographic assay has been used for the rapid detection of biological markers in infectious diseases in humans and animals The assay, also known as lateral flow assay, is utilized for the detection of antigen or antibody in human infectious diseases. There are a series of steps involved in the development of these immuno-chromatographic test kits, from gold nano colloids preparation to nitrocellulose membrane coating (NCM). These tests are mostly used for qualitative assays by a visual interpretation of results. For the interpretation of the results, the color intensity of the test zone is therefore very significant. Herein, the study was performed on a malaria antigen test kit. Several studies have reported the use of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with varying diameters and its binding with various concentrations of protein in order to optimize tests. However, none of these studies have reported how to fix (improve) test zone band intensity (color), if different sized AuNPs were synthesized during a reaction and when conjugated equally with same amount of protein. Herein, different AuNPs with average diameter ranging from 10 nm to 50 nm were prepared and conjugated equally with protein concentration of 150 µg/mL with KD = 1.0 × 10−3. Afterwards, the developed kits’ test zone band intensity for all different sizes AuNPs was fixed to the same band level (high) by utilization of an ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer. The study found that the same optical density (OD) has the same test zone band intensity irrespective of AuNP size. This study also illustrates the use of absorption maxima (λ max) techniques to characterize AuNPs and to prevent wastage of protein while developing immunochromatographic test kits.

Abstract:
A szerző többféle adat és mutató segítségével próbálta feltérképezni és beazonosítani a Budapesten kívüli magyar regionális bank- és pénzügyi központokat. Ennek eredményeként megállapítható, hogy a legnagyobb gyakorisággal az öt vidéki – magyarországi léptékben gondolkodva – nagyvárosban fordulnak elő olyan központi funkciók, amelyek a többi város közül mintegy kiemelik ezen nagyvárosokat. Összességében megállapítható, hogy nemcsak a fejlett piacgazdaságokban, hanem hazánkban is bizonyos alapvető pénzügyi funkciók és intézményi formák (például bankok) földrajzilag sűrűbb eloszlásban vannak jelen a gazdasági térben.

Abstract:
An important part of banking literature was interested in the relationship between credit risk and bank performance. However, only few studies investigated the association between liquidity risk and bank performance. The aim of this paper is to study the effect of liquidity risk on the Tunisian bank performance. To this end, we used a sample of 10 Tunisian banks over the period 1990-2013. By applying panel data method, precisely random effect regression, results show that liquidity risk decreases significantly Tunisian bank performance. Also, findings indicate that international financial crisis and inflation act negatively and significantly on bank performance.

Abstract:
Summary Published well-test analyses in gas/condensate reservoirs in which the pressure has dropped below the dewpoint are usually based on a two- or three-region radial composite well-test interpretation model to represent condensate dropout around the wellbore and initial gas in place away from the well. Gas/condensate-specific results from well-test analysis are the mobility and storativity ratios between the regions and the condensate-bank radius. For a given region, however, well-test analysis cannot uncouple the storativity ratio from the region radius, and the storativity ratio must be estimated independently to obtain the correct bank radius. In most cases, the storativity ratio is calculated incorrectly, which explains why condensate bank radii from well-test analysis often differ greatly from those obtained by numerical compositional simulation. In this study, a new method is introduced to estimate the storativity ratios between the different zones from buildup data when the saturation profile does not change during the buildup. Application of the method is illustrated with the analysis of a transient-pressure test in a gas/condensate field in the North Sea. The analysis uses single-phase pseudo pressures and two- and three-zone radial composite well-test interpretation models to yield the condensate-bank radius. The calculated condensate-bank radius is validated by verifying analytical well-test analyses with compositional simulations that include capillary number and inertia effects. Introduction and Background When the bottomhole flowing pressure falls below the dewpoint in a gas/condensate reservoir, retrograde condensation occurs, and a bank of condensate builds up around the producing well. This process creates concentric zones with different liquid saturations around the well (Fevang and Whitson 1996; Kniazeff and Nvaille 1965; Economides et al. 1987). The zone away from the well, where the reservoir pressure is still above the dewpoint, contains the original gas. The condensate bank around the wellbore contains two phases, reservoir gas and liquid condensate, and has a reduced gas mobility, except in the immediate vicinity of the well at high production rates, where the relative permeability to gas is greater than in the bank because of capillary number effects (Danesh et al. 1994; Boom et al. 1995; Henderson et al. 1998; Mott et al. 1999).

Abstract:
Wireless avionics intra-communication (WAIC) refers to a wireless communication system among electronic components (e.g., sensors and actuators) that are integrated or installed in an aircraft and it is proposed to replace heavy and expensive wired communication cables. Recently, the use of a frequency band (4.2–4.4 GHz) for the WAIC (so-called, WAIC band) has been approved by international telecommunication union (ITU). Accordingly, several existing wireless protocols such as IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.15 are being considered as candidate techniques for the intra-avionics sensor network. In this paper, we perform a real field experiment to investigate wireless channel characteristics in intra-avionics sensor networks at the WAIC bands by a software-defined radio platform (universal software radio peripheral, USRP) and self-produced monopole antennas for the WAIC band. Through the experiment, we validated the feasibility of IEEE 802.11 protocol for the intra-avionics sensor network at the WAIC band in real aircraft environments. Furthermore, based on the measurement data, we evaluated the bit error rate (BER) performance of multiple antenna techniques where we considered the maximum ratio combining (MRC) for the multi-antenna receiver and the space-time block coding (STBC) for the multi-antenna transmitter.
