Neste artigo, objetiva-se investigar a produção acadêmica brasileira da década compreendida entre 2005 e 2015 sobre representações sociais de velhice e juventude entre idosos e jovens. A busca foi realizada nos bancos de dados Capes, BDTD e Scielo, com uso dessas palavras e suas derivações. Os resultados indicam a inexistência de trabalhos que discutam as representações de idosos e jovens sobre juventude. It also discusses the life of Banks' great grandfather, Joseph I, who had begun the family's wealth accumulation and social elevation. The chapter also looks at Louise Grenville, Bank's first cousin, who was a significant point of contact for him into an important circle of political and societal figures of power and influence. Understanding the motives that encourage users to adopt social media to communicate with businesses is very important. This research study was conducted with Australian banks and adds to the development of empirically tested social media adoption model consisting of technological and social communication aspects (Senadheera, 2015). This chapter presents the findings of the research study based on analysis of wall posts gathered from Australian banks' Facebook presence in the year 2013. The research study involves a thematic analysis of frequently used words by Australian banks in their respective Facebook wall posts following an outcome of a word frequency test conducted using NVivo. This analysis was conducted with the proposed adoption model as the basis to determine whether banks' Facebook content addresses the basic user requirements driving them to adopt social media to communicate with Australian banks. E-collaboration technologies are broadly defined as electronic technologies that enable collaboration among individuals engaged in a common task (Kock, Davison, Ocker, &amp; Wazlawick, 2001; Kock &amp; Davison, 2003; Kock 2004, 2005). The reasons to enter inside the Internet are huge market value and effective data transactions (Perkins, 2000). The developments of electronic collaborations turn out the hard task into a soft one. This technology development allows the whole sectors to leverage the powers of the Internet and communication network to coordinate their efforts and the e-business models have provided the workable infrastructure for group communication and information processing (Jian Cai, 2004). Many published studies have also shown that, besides technologies the social aspects are essential for the success of collaboration (Briggs, 2003; Easley, 2003). The social aspects that lie behind this article are the speedy and effective services provided by the collaboration technologies for the patients. This article mainly speaks on how the deficiency of the blood can be solved by the blood banks. For this purpose a standard model has been created, in which the blood donors can be connected electronically with patients under the network assistance provided by the blood banks and the hospitals.

Abstract:
Zakat possesses a high-ranking position in Islam due to several reasons. First, it is an economic and financial system that provides a permanent financial resource for the public treasury. Second, zakat is a social system that fulfills the needs of poor people who represent the majority of the population in most countries and strengthens Muslim nations. In addition, it is an important means of cooperation and mercy among people. Third, zakat is considered a political system where the state through its officers is responsible to collect and distribute zakat in a fair manner. The prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) paid high attention to zakat. He used to send workers to collect zakat and he personally supervised the process of distribution. Likewise, his Rightly Guided Caliphs used the best approaches to collect and distribute zakat. In the light of contemporary developments in all aspects of life, particularly the financial aspect, it is not effective to use ancient approaches of collecting and distributing zakat. It is not appropriate nowadays to send ṣāʿī (zakat officers) to collect zakat in the way it was practiced centuries ago or open the door for individuals to collect and distribute zakat by themselves. Currently, there are various ways and means to collect and distribute zakat through governmental entities or through family funds that exist in some countries. The present study seeks to provide a new and important approach to collect and distribute zakat within the contemporary Islamic finance industry based on Shari'ah policy and public interest. Furthermore, the study highlights the social responsibilities of Islamic banks and emphasizes that the role of Islamic banks should not only constrain to finance and investment, but also to strive to achieve Shari'ah objectives through applying the wide concept of Islamic rules and values. The most notable role that Islamic banks could assume toward the community is to take care of collecting and distributing zakat in collaboration with governmental entities. The current study expects to come up with a framework for zakat collection and distribution system in the Islamic finance industry.

This chapter mainly focuses on the literature about the relationship between ethics, corporate social responsibility, and financial markets, which is broad and diverse as well as multi-disciplined. Some are concerned only with ethical banking, while others seek to establish a financial system based on social responsibility to society and people. The studies essentially bring attention to the question of how banks should act in the face of the moral-economic dilemma. In fact, ethical aspect is much more valuable than economic profitability and includes a social responsibility approach. In the concept of ethical concerns and corporate social responposibility, the literature has been reviewed and problematic areas discussed for ethical and Islamic banking. Islamic finance and specifically Islamic banking can be seen as a new practice to bring corporate ethical responsibility and social justice into the financial and economic spheres.

Abstract:
The study of various choices made while producing and playing games allows little opportunity for interrogating video games as a transcultural convergence of multiple subjectivities and institutions. This chapter speaks to this topic by presenting the Computer Games Across Cultures (CGAC) project. CGAC involved humanities researchers from West Virginia University (USA), Bangor University (Wales), and Jawaharlal Nehru University (India) who over a two-year period sought to understand creative and cultural aspects of gaming. CGAC's researchers employed both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to bridge the gap between the academic explorations of gaming in tandem with industry-specific practices within such spaces. This chapter provides an overview of the resultant work through its analysis of a cross-section of games. Examining both Western mainstream games and lesser known games from places like India and Ghana helped interrogate representational politics in videogames and provide a broader view of the relationship between gaming and game making, in a socio-cultural context.
