Linear code combinations have been considered for suppressing the ionospheric error. In the L-band, this leads to an increased noise floor. In a combined L- and C-band (5010–5030 MHz) approach, the ionosphere can be eliminated and the noise floor reduced at the same time. A compact and low thickness prototype is manufactured and characterized in terms of return loss and radiation properties in an anechoic chamber both alone and on a metallic plate. The performance exhibited by the presented antenna/AMC prototype is proper for RFID tags on both metallic and nonmetallic objects.

To abtain better description of the conduction band structures, second-nearest-neighbor s and p state interaction are included. We suggest that the zinc-blende InN has a direct band gap of ~2 eV and an indirect band gap of ~0.7 eV located at L-points. Due to band folding effect, the wurtzite InN thus has a direct band gap of ~0.7 eV located at Γ3-point.

Abstract:
This paper presents a planar parallel robot, built of spread-band elements. The robot has a workspace that exceeds its original size by far. The mass of the mechanical structure is extremely low, allowing accelerations up to 120 m/s2. A spread-band element consists of a roll with flanges and a cambered metal tape. The arch form of the cambered band allows the transmission of tensile and compressive forces and of one moment. The flange of the roll changes the orientation of the bending radius axis by 90°. Channel Islands National Park (CHIS) has conducted long-term ecological monitoring of the kelp forests around San Miguel, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Anacapa and Santa Barbara Islands since 1982.
