This new DFB provides non-trivial FIR perfect reconstruction systems which are computationally very efficient. Furthermore we address the lack of shift-invariance in the DFB by presenting a novel undecimated DFB that preserves the computational simplicity of its maximally decimated counterpart.

Abstract:
SAR Wave INteraction for Natural Targets Over Land (SWINTOL) is a project funded by the European Space Agency. The study’s goal is to better understand the interaction of high frequency radar (> X-band) with vegetation and soils, in order to drive the development of a high-frequency electromagnetic model to simulate SAR imagery at high resolution (< 1 m). Existing models work well at C and X band frequencies, but do not work properly at higher frequencies. Cranfield University’s role in this project was to provide the field data necessary for model validation and development. Radar imagery was

Abstract:
Even though major advances in economic theory and modelling have in some cases furthered our understanding of how the economy works, the system as a whole has become more complex. If policymakers had perfect knowledge about the actual state of the economy, the various transmission mechanisms as well as the true underlying model, monetary intervention would be greatly simplified. In reality, however, the monetary authorities have to contend with considerable uncertainty in relation to the above-mentioned factors. This said, uncertainty has mostly been neglected in both the theoretical an

POLSAR gives all polarimetric properties in the covariance matrix. Due to speckle noise of POLSAR data, the fine pattern is difficult to be identified and the true value of back-scattering is contaminated by noise. Hence, the speckle noise filter approach is utilized to reduce noise disturbance. Moreover, the fuzzy approach is utilized to ta

Agricultural production is becoming increasingly important as the world demand increases. On the other hand, there are several factors threatening that production such as the climate change. Therefore, monitoring and management of different parameters affecting the production are important. The current study is dedicated to two key parameters, namely agricultural land cover and soil-moisture mapping using X- and L-Band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. Land-cover mapping plays an essential role in various applications like irrigation management, yield estimation and subsidy control. A model
