Abstract:
The aim of this study is to explain the calculation of return on mudhrabah time deposit for the depositors of Islamic banks, and the provision of a fair return to the depositors without leaving any shariah elements. These two issues have become urgent to be discussed in this study, because if their money is deposited in Islamic banks, it will increase the amount of funds available in the Islamic bank, and the amount of funds available directly influence the size of the investment return on Islamic banks. If the results of the large investment, the returns will be obtained by the depositors are also large, and vice versa. In addition, it will also create a sense of calm and peace for themselves, because the money they have deposited in Islamic bank is not only quaranteed by the gorverment but also the system is run in accordance with the shariah of Islam.

Abstract:
In the mid-2000s, banks competed for leadership in the growth of new points of sale of services. Today, the positive for the bank is the closure of branches with a minimum physical presence in the administrative territory, while without reducing the number of clients. The purpose of the article is to analyze the situation in Ukraine on reforming network banks regarding their presence outside the head office, the possibility of maintaining branches in the structure of the bank (points of sale). The dynamics of the share of cash and non-cash transactions carried out by bank customers has been assessed. It was revealed that the expansion of the payment infrastructure and the network where payment cards are used affects the further fate of bank branches. During the quarantine period, under the influence of digitalization, the physical workload of on banks branches decreased due to the fact that today they (branches) are not the only points of sale of banking services. At the same time, most of the new functions arising from the digitalization of banking processes can be performed by the central offices of the bank. The popularity of internet acquiring is growing rapidly, the advantages of which are the speed of the operation, the absence of the need for the physical use of the payment card itself, the absence of the need for a POS terminal in the store, the possibility of making payments in 24/7 mode. The current trends in banking activity indicate that face-to-display and display-to-display communication will completely replace the modern understanding of banks. In the future, there will be new ways to store your own resources, for example, storage in “cloud technologies”; plastic cards will physically disappear, which will be replaced by tokens; cash will remain at a minimum level (within 2-5% of the amount of non-cash payments), which will be dealt with by SIT companies; lending will switch to P2P mode.

Abstract:
The article analyses the peculiarities of the global pandemic COVID-19 impact and related quarantine restrictions imposed on the Ukrainian banking sector and other European countries. The purpose of the study is to determine the negative consequences of such an impact due to the global pandemic COVID-19, as well as to outline the effectiveness of implemented (planned) measures of governments and central banks to neutralize the effects of this impact on banks. Particular attention is paid to: the study of changes in GDP dynamics in European countries in the crisis periods of 2008-2009 and 2019-2021; the analysis of the efficiency of banks during the global crisis of 2019-2021; determining the quality of the Ukrainian banks’ loan portfolio (by economic sectors). The scientific paper notes that the negative factor influencing the stability of the country’s banking sector (during the crisis period of 2019-2021) is the increased dependence on banks investments in government securities and low diversification of banks credit investments in various sectors of the economy (especially this issue applies to state-owned banks in Ukraine). Examining the liquidity of the banking sector, it has been determined that the National Bank of Ukraine has taken similar global measures to support the liquidity of banks during the global pandemic. The anti-crisis measures introduced by the National Bank of Ukraine since December 2020 were also analysed in detail, among which the most effective were: restructuring of loans for individuals and enterprises; development by banks of plans for resumption of their full-fledged activity; suspension of the introduction of capital buffers; weakening in terms of liquidity ratio LCR.

Abstract:
The paper analyzes the evolution of the introduction of international standards for bank capital regulation. The aim of the research is to study international standards for bank capital regulation and their impact on financial stability and sustainability of domestic banking systems. The 2007—2009 Global Financial Crisis was perhaps the greatest banking and financial crisis since bank failures and the financial panic of the Great Depression in early 1930s. According to academics and professionals, there has been much debate over the last decade as to whether the 2007—2009 banking crisis was primarily a solvency crisis or a liquidity crisis. Capital adequacy of banks today is the main indicator of increasing society’s confidence in banking systems. The flexible and balanced implementation of Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) recommendations on the assessment of bank capital adequacy is of particular importance in the context of the deepening economic crisis caused by COVID-19 quarantine restrictions. Regulation of bank capital is primarily settles by the ability to execute basic functions inherent in it. A number of shocks in connection with the crisis require the renewal and search for a new paradigm of regulation, which today is focused on achieving financial stability, overcoming pro-cyclicality, especially in the banking sector. One of the latest developments in the field of bank capital regulation has been the implementation of international banking supervision standards recommended by BCBS, which have been transformed from Basel I, Basel II, Basel III, Basel 3.5 to Basel IV. The new ideology suggests that in times of financial and economic crisis or in anticipation of growing uncertainty in the economy, it is necessary to abandon the idea of bank capital management and the creation of financial reserves to maintain liquidity and stability of financial institutions. These measures will not be able to protect the bank from default and bankruptcy. This ideology has become a new paradigm of effective banking regulation, which can be formulated as an accepted set of three vectors: risk; risk management; risk-oriented supervision.

Abstract:
This study aimed to estimate the effect of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) quarantine on low back pain (LBP) intensity, prevalence, and associated risk factors among adults in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). A total of 463 adults (259 males and 204 females) aged between 18 and 64 years and residing in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) participated in this cross-sectional study. A self-administered structured questionnaire composed of 20 questions regarding demographic characteristics, work- and academic-related aspects, physical activity (PA), daily habits and tasks, and pain-related aspects was used. The LBP point prevalence before the quarantine was 38.8%, and 43.8% after the quarantine. The LBP intensity significantly increased during the quarantine. The low back was also the most common musculoskeletal pain area. Furthermore, during the quarantine, a significantly higher LBP intensity was reported by those individuals who (a) were aged between 35 and 49 years old, (b) had a body mass index equal to or exceeding 30, (c) underwent higher levels of stress, (d) did not comply with the ergonomic recommendations, (e) were sitting for long periods, (f) did not practice enough physical activity (PA), and (g) underwent teleworking or distance learning. No significant differences were found between genders. The COVID-19 quarantine resulted in a significant increase in LBP intensity, point prevalence, and most associated risk factors.

Abstract:
In outbreak prevention and infection control amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Philippine government mandated the returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to undergo a 14-day quarantine and isolation upon arrival in the country. In this light, this study utilized Heideggerian existential phenomenology to describe the experiences of OFWs in the quarantine facilities and the meanings they associated with their 14-day quarantine experience. Six purposively selected OFW-informants participated in the study. From the findings, five main themes emerged: (1) concerns and challenges of uncertainties, (2) emotional struggles, (3) process of coping, (4) meanings associated with their quarantine experience, and (5) their trusts and hopes. This study recommends a strengthened psycho-social support program to manage distress among OFWs and provide information and services needed to mount an appropriate response to assisting OFWs in this pandemic.

Abstract:
Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has emerged as a pandemic with serious clinical manifestations including death. A pandemic at the large-scale like COVID-19 places extraordinary demands on the world’s health systems, dramatically devastates vulnerable populations, and critically threatens the global communities in an unprecedented way. While tremendous efforts at the frontline are placed on detecting the virus, providing treatments and developing vaccines, it is also critically important to examine the technologies and systems for tackling disease emergence, arresting its spread and especially the strategy for diseases prevention. The objective of this article is to review enabling technologies and systems with various application scenarios for handling the COVID-19 crisis. The article will focus specifically on 1) wearable devices suitable for monitoring the populations at risk and those in quarantine, both for evaluating the health status of caregivers and management personnel, and for facilitating triage processes for admission to hospitals; 2) unobtrusive sensing systems for detecting the disease and for monitoring patients with relatively mild symptoms whose clinical situation could suddenly worsen in improvised hospitals; and 3) telehealth technologies for the remote monitoring and diagnosis of COVID-19 and related diseases. Finally, further challenges and opportunities for future directions of development are highlighted.

Abstract:
Introduction. In the current global crisis, the spread of globalization, unstable economy in the country, the emergence of threats related to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of quarantine in the country, it is necessary to analyze their impact on banking institutions in Ukraine and accordingly to the national security of Ukraine. Purpose. The main purpose of the study is to analyze the current state of the banking services market of Ukraine during a pandemic and to develop practical recommendations for its further development. Results. The state of the Ukrainian market of banking services in the conditions of a pandemic is analyzed. The dynamics of operating banks in Ukraine is studied. The TOP-10 banking institutions according to the stability rating and the leaders of the people's rating of banking institutions are presented. It is noted that in modern conditions, the activities of banking institutions are extremely strongly influenced by external factors. The dynamics of gross domestic product volumes is considered. The dynamics of the discount rate of the National Bank of Ukraine is studied. The analysis of indicators of return on assets and capital of the banking system in Ukraine as a whole is carried out. Examples of adaptive solutions of banking institutions in Ukraine during a pandemic are given. It is noted that due to the introduction of quarantine in Ukraine, citizens began to actively and effectively use Internet technology to address their own issues and meet needs, thus accelerating the transition to the digital age. Conclusions. We are convinced that the introduction of adaptive measures of banking institutions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic for other banks will help to minimize the negative consequences and possible risks associated with such exposure. Thanks to timely decisions on the functioning of banking institutions, re-planning, changing approaches to customer service, banking institutions were able to adapt to the conditions caused by the pandemic, and reduce possible risks, losses and threats to their activities and generally positively affect the economy.

Abstract:
Current state of the flora of Ukraine, which is under constantly growing anthropic pressure, is characterized by the change in species composition and structure of vegetation, a significant increase in its role as an anthropophilic element. Big economic activity creates the prerequisites for the conversion of native vegetation to impoverished and less valuable, partly or wholly formed of synanthropic species, many of which are quarantine weeds. Invasion and further active distribution, and in some cases the expansion of the species of adventive fraction of the flora, take place both naturally and anthropically. In Luhansk region, the emergence and spread of quarantine weeds poses a threat of an expansive nature, as an aggressive quarantine species such as Ambrosia artemisifolia L. grows in all types of crop phytocenoses and beyond, and every year its habitats increase. The article shows the results of multi-year researches, aimed at establishing the directions of distribution and expansion of plant groups by the quarantine species of the Asteraceae family (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.).The study shows that the number of the researched species in the last ten years has increased two- or threefold in such plant groups as agrophytocenosis, sylvophytoculturcenosis, urbophytoculturcenosis, meadows and pastures. In result , we emphasize that Ambrosia artemisiifolia L. is no longer a quarantine species to which restricted species belong, as this weed is infinitely distributed and is already a cosmopolitan, whereas phytosanitary services are commonly called quarantine, but limited Unfortunately, no one can expand it. In our opinion, time is significantly lost, and one way to prevent the further spread of Ambrosia artemisiifolia L. is the total mowing of plants before flowering of all populations in all crop plant groups (where it is impossible to apply chemical tillage) 5-7 times per growing season, not to allow the growing season replenishment of a bank of seeds of this weed in soil.

Abstract:
Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine perception of parents on safety of their children upon resumption of face-to-face studies at Kenya Medical Training College, Mombasa after its temporary conversion into COVID-19 quarantine centre. Methodology: The study was a descriptive cross-sectional design done at KMTC-Mombasa. 85 (10%) parents were sampled by convenience method from total population of 850. Multi stage sampling was used to select 85 participants. Data was collected through structured phone administered interview. Response rate was 85.8% (73). Descriptive analyses were carried out using SPSS 26. Presentation of the results was done by use of graphs, pie charts and tables. Findings: 65.8% (48) of parents were aware of KMTC Mombasa having being converted into COVID-19 quarantine centre. Most parents 91.8% (67) felt safe for their children to go back to college. Availability of clear information about safety measures was cited by 69% (46) of the parents as the reason they felt the students would be safe. Only 6 parents (8.2%) felt unsafe for their children. They explained that COVID-19 spreads quickly in congested places like schools and that the college was ‘highly infectious’ as a quarantine centre. There was a significant relationship between parents perception of safety of the college and their proposition of dates of reopening the college (p=0.01). Parents generally considered the college facilities conducive for use (Mean=61.33%). Unique contribution to theory, practice and Policy: The views of parents as key stakeholders when learning institutions are converted into quarantine centers during a pandemic have not been explored in literature. Parents who perceived the college as safe would allow their children to go back to college and resume face-to-face learning as soon as possible. However, parents who perceived the college as unsafe would stop their children from going back to college. For smooth learning, it is important for college management to ensure that necessary safety measures are put in place and communicated to parents before reopening of college.

Abstract:
SummaryIn 1994, quarantine fresh-frozen plasma (Q-FFP) was introduced in Germany in order to reduce the risk of HIV and HCV transmission. In 1998, an acute HCV infection of a patient was reported to us. The lookback revealed that this patient had received two Q-FFP from a donor who had seroconverted for HCV in the meantime. Recipients of further plasma donations from this donor were identified. Back-up specimens of these donations were investigated in several laboratories. A total of 25 additional HCV-PCR positive plasma units had been transfused to 12 further patients. HCV infections were diagnosed in seven of these recipients, three patients had already been deceased. One of the remaining two recipients was already HCV positive prior to transfusion, in the other patient, no HCV infection was detectable. This patient had received three units of an “early” plasma donation , which was tested negative by PCR in one laboratory, but positive in the other. The subsequent, clinically infectious donation had the same discrepant PCR results. Thus, eight cases of HCV transmission were revealed and classified as “certain” with regard to causality, also due to an identical HCV genotype, i.e. 3e. Some of these infections would have been prevented by application of a different anti-HCV assay. The assay used in the respective plasmapheresis station was in-sensitive in this individual case for more than 400 days after the first PCR positive donation. This caused the release of the above mentioned infectious units. Upon re-testing the backups, three of four other anti-HCV assays revealed a positive result already 104 days after the first PCR-positive donation. The donor had increased ALAT levels (> 23 IU/L) at nine of 28 donations, two of these were higher than 2.5 times the upper normal limit, and two were higher than 68 IU/L, which is the cut-off value for male blood donors in Germany. The results of these (look-back) studies arouse several queries, i.e. differences in the diagnostic sensitivity between current anti-HCV and PCR tests, the accuracy of risk-estimates (especially when based on hemovigilance studies for Q-FFP), the value of ALAT testing, and currently practised release algorithms for Q-FFP.

Dear Editor, The Colombian government declared the quarantine for all the population since 25th March, 2020 as a measure to mitigate the expansion of COVID-19 in the country. Nevertheless, this restrictive measure showed early some opposite consequences to its purpose. As observed in other countries, the restriction measure caused a mass purchase of products, formation of crowds in grocery, department stores and local markets. The fear of shortage also caused exhaustion of products, long journeys and accumulation of large numbers of people in stores, bank offices and ATMs.

Abstract:
The Coronavirus disease began back in December 2019 as pneumonia without a definitive causative organism in the city of Wuhan, in Hubei province of China. This is the second pandemic that China has given birth to, the former being in 2003. Since the beginning of this pandemic, the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that this is primarily a droplet infection. Studies have also shown that show that the large virus-laden droplets are the main focus of infection and the CDC advices to maintain at least a two-meter distance between people and personal hygiene. Although quarantine carries a paradoxical history, a virus whose predominant mode of spread being respiratory droplets can be contained by simply staying indoors. The strategy of quarantine has its own demerits. Unless carried out meticulously, it involves the mingling of individuals who might have been exposed which undoubtedly increases the risk of diseases transmission. This in itself, is an act of negligence by the medical fraternity unless provided with proper facilities. Restricting the movement of populations is also an essential part of a strategy which comes at the cost of paralyzing the economy. Hospitals and other institutional quarantine facilities open up all over the globe in attempts to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. Nevertheless, quarantine a strategy is a controversy because such a strict yet systemic approach can cause political, economic and socio-ethical unrest within a nation.

Abstract:
AbstractSpecies of the genus Nacobbus have the potential to reduce yields of major food crops such as potato, sugar beet and tomato in many parts of the world, thus warranting a quarantine effort to avoid their introduction. Molecular studies offer a new method for routine quarantine diagnostics for this nematode that will be faster and more sensitive than previous methods. A primer set was designed from Nacobbus ITS sequences and their specificity confirmed. DNA was extracted from nematodes, soil and potato tubers for use in PCR. Optimised PCR conditions were established and the PCR products were separated on 2% agarose gels, showing that specific ITS primers for the detection of Nacobbus generated a single PCR product, although band size varied slightly between species and soil isolates. The product was generated from DNA extracted from all the Nacobbus samples but not from other nematodes tested (Pratylenchus, Radopholus, Meloidogyne, Globodera, Heterodera). No bands were generated from the uninfested control soil and control tuber DNA samples, thus demonstrating the specificity of the primers. For the first time, Nacobbus was detected in soil and tuber samples using molecular approaches. These results have important applications not only in analysing advisory samples but also in the screening of material for quarantine purposes.

Abstract:
Abstract Background: These last 20 years, the activity of Italian blood banks and transfusion services has been modified and widened, following the evolution of transfusion medicine from the primary, prevailing interest for immunohematology towards new activities in diagnostic, clinical-therapeutic and research field. Notwithstanding this gradual transformation, blood collection activity and the production of hemocomponents in quantities proper to reach and/or keep a balance of self-sufficiency on a local and national level, keeps beeing a prior target, as it is the main task of National Health Department plans. The aim necessary to guarantee hemocomponent safety is very important also, as such as to meet public opinion expectations and law provisions in an efficient way. Blood safety can only be joined to adopting severe methodological criteria even upon donor’s selection stage, in order to avoid hemocomponents donation in the “window period” of HBV, HCV or HIV infections. Nevertheless the temporary donation suspension has a negative impact on subsequent donations by the deferred donors. Donors who do not meet any of the selection criteria in the screening process, may undergo quarantine plasmapheresis (QP) as an alternative to deferral, and QP units may be stocked, validated and released only if repeated donor’s screening tests are negative up to a maximum of 12 months after the risk event. Methods: Since 01/01/98 we have been collecting 600 mL QP units from donors who should have been deferred for one of the following reasons: 1) minor dental surgery (DS); 2) major or minor surgery (MMS); 3) sexual risk behaviours (SRB) (with a limit to: change of sexual partner or more than one partner); 4) health care work risk (HW); 5) other risk events (OR) (with a limit to: tattoo application, skin or ear piercing, acupuncture); 6) endoscopic examination (EE). QP units were daily listed, labelled and physically located and quarantined in monthly dedicated containers within a specific freezer. Results: From 01/01/98 to 06/30/04 we have been collecting 16,555 plasmapheresis units and 1,531 (9.25%) of these were QP donated by 1,053 donors. First time apheresis donors were 350 and 45% of them became repeat plasmapheresis donors. The causes for including donors into QP group have been in percentage respectively: 1) DS: 29.5; 2) MMS: 26; 3) SRB: 20.5; 4) OR: 19; 5) EE: 3; HW: 2. None of the QP units has been eliminated for seroconversion during or at the end of the quarantine period; QP units elimination percentages (0.69) for sanitary reasons (high ALT, HCV positive) soon after donation appear to be substantially superimposable in comparison to non-QP units (0.71). Conclusions: Our data shows that the provisions of this strategy, with a limit to some specific exclusion causes and joined to a proper logistical organization: 1) Does not generate an increase of elimination sanitary causes of plasmapheresis soon after donation. 2) Is highly efficient in improving plasma production safely, without sacrificing whole blood donations. 3) Greatly increases repeat plasmapheresis donor’s recruitment. 4) Prevents the negative impact on subsequent donations by the deferred donors. 5) Is a donor’s recruitment and a retention strategy which contributes to raise plasma production safely, even though restrictive changes to donation selection criteria continue to increase deferrals.

In a brief statement concerning our current global crisis, made one month into the Covid-19 pandemic, the philosopher Bernard Stiegler invited us to regard confinement as a gift. Drawing on his own experience of confinement following his incarceration for a series of bank robberies in the late 1970s, Stiegler argued that confinement can provide us with a much needed opportunity for reflection, and to reconnect with practices of traditional care and education—practices everywhere threatened by the destruction of intergenerational connectedness. “Confinement,” he wrote, “can revive the memory and meaning of past ways of life” (2020, 2). His hope appears to have been that in confinement and quarantine we might find the ability to think again, and to rethink what it means to be able to be and to do things together.

Abstract:
The effective and rapid detection of Fire Blight, an important bacterial disease caused by the quarantine pest E.amylovora, is crucial for today’s horticulture. This study explored the application of non-invasive proximal hyperspectral remote sensing (RS) in order to differentiate the healthy (H), infected (I) and dry (D) leaves of apple trees. Analysis of variance was employed in order to determine which hyperspectral narrow spectral bands exhibited the most significant differences. Spectral signatures for the range of 400–2500 nm were acquired with Thermo Scientific Evolution 220 and iS50NIR spectrometers. The selected spectral bands were then used to evaluate several RS indices, including ARI (Anthocyanin Reflectance Index), RDVI (Renormalized Difference Vegetation Index), MSR (Modified Simple Ratio) and NRI (Nitrogen Reflectance Index), for Fire Blight detection in apple tree leaves. Furthermore, a new index was proposed, namely QFI. The spectral indices were tested on apple trees infected by Fire Blight in a quarantine greenhouse. Results indicated that the short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) band located at 1450 nm was able to distinguish (I) and (H) leaves, while the SWIR band at 1900 nm differentiated all three leaf types. Moreover, tests using the Pearson correlation indicated that ARI, MSR and QFI exhibited the highest correlations with the infection progress. Our results prove that our hyperspectral remote sensing technique is able to differentiate (H), (I) and (D) leaves of apple trees for the reliable and precise detection of Fire Blight.

Abstract:
Since its detection on ornamental pines in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, in 1979 (3), the European race causing Scleroderris canker (Gremmeniella abietina (Lagerb.) Morelet) has been detected throughout the Avalon Peninsula at the eastern end of the province. A quarantine was established on the Avalon Peninsula in 1980 to reduce the risk of introducing the disease to the natural red pine (Pinus resinosa Aiton) stands on the remainder of the island. Scots, red, and jack pines were examined at 34 locations in Newfoundland in 1998 and 1999. Infected trees were detected at four locations outside the quarantine zone. In the fall of 1998, the disease was found in plantations at three locations outside the quarantine zone: on Scots pine (P. sylvestris L.) at Bonavista and Catalina (≈135 km north-northeast of the quarantine) and on jack pine (P. banksiana Lamb.) and Scots pine at Sunnyside on Trinity Bay (≈45 km northwest of the quarantine). In 1999, the disease was detected at a fourth location on planted Scots pine in Come By Chance, near the Sunnyside location. Cultures of the pathogen were recovered from branch samples collected at each location and submitted for race determination at the Laurentian Forestry Centre, Sainte-Foy, QB. All isolates were determined based on the polymerase chain reaction diagnostic technique (1) to be the European race of G. abietina. This is a significant range extension from that reported by Laflamme et al. (2). The infected trees originated from the former Back River tree nursery at Salmonier Line that provided planting stock for a provincial reforestation program between 1937 and 1952. Evidence suggests that this nursery was the source of infected stock for plantations at nine locations within the Avalon Peninsula quarantine zone and the four new locations detected during the 1998 and 1999 surveys. This is similar to the pattern described for other nurseries in eastern Canada and the United States (2). The presence of the European race of G. abietina outside of the Avalon Peninsula increases the risk that the disease will become established in the rare natural red pine stands on the rest of the island of Newfoundland. Abstract: The objective of this work was to describe the occurrence of quarantine Tulip breaking virus (TBV, synonym Lily mottle virus - LMoV) and Lily symptomless virus (LSV), and their respective molecular analyses, to provide data for supporting TBV removal from the Brazilian A1 quarantine pest list, since this virus has spread among the main commercial lily crops in Brazil. The occurrence of these viruses was detected in 12 cultivation areas through multiplex reverse transcription (RT-PCR), using specific primers to genes encoding the respective coat proteins (CP). Eight fragments of 800 nucleotides (nt) obtained from the LMoV-infected lilies and nine fragments of 600 nt from LSV-infected lilies were sequenced. Phylogenetic tree reconstruction showed a robust branch containing the LMoV Brazilian sequences, other LMoV isolates, TBV, and Tulip band breaking virus, suggesting that all are LMoV isolates, although they are clustered into two subgroups. Phylogenetic analysis also showed a robust branch supporting all Brazilian and other LSV sequences, except for an LSV Japanese isolate. Recombination analyses also showed an LMoV recombinant isolate, whereas no recombination events were found among LSV isolates. Lily mottle virus is the prevalent virus in lily crops in Brazil, in single and mixed infections with LSV or Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV).

Abstract:
The COVID-19 epidemic in Ukraine and around the world has led to unprecedented restrictive measures by countries to counter the spread of viral diseases and support national health systems. At the same time, the quarantine measures introduced in Ukraine rather exposed and deepened the negative trends in the economy, which have been observed since the second half of 2019. In the first nine months of 2020, Ukraine\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s real GDP fell by 5.4% and consumer inflation last year was below the target range of the NBU, which indicates signs of full-fledged stagnation in the real sector of the economy. The efficiency of the financial intermediation and monetary transmission in Ukraine remains low. The stagnation of bank lending has been going on for the third year in a row, and the measures taken by the NBU to stimulate the economy have not been effective enough. The loan-to-deposit ratio is following the downward trend since 2015. The risk of lower revenues of the state budget of Ukraine and increasing the cost of government borrowing significantly complicates the implementation of state programs to support the economy. The lack of sufficient fiscal space to finance public expenditures at an affordable cost puts Ukraine on an unequal footing with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in the context of overcoming the crisis. In order to counter the COVID-19 crisis, countries use a combination of government fiscal mechanisms with monetary and macroprudential instruments of central banks. Given the risk of a vicious cycle of deterioration of the financial condition of the banking and corporate sectors in Ukraine, authors justified a comprehensive approach to improving public economic and financial policy, which will synergize the effect of the measures taken and ensure long-term sustainable growth of Ukraine's economy based on effective credit support of the banking system.

Aside from William Faulkner it is difficult to think of a white twentieth-century American writer who has negotiated the issue of race in as sustained, unflinching and intelligent a fashion as Russell Banks. Whilst the impulse to produce novels on the grand scale shows little sign of diminishing, authors opting to place race at the very centre of their great American fictions remain relatively rare. With a couple of notable exceptions, most of the major works produced by white American authors over the past decade – whether by elder statesmen such as Updike, DeLillo or Pynchon or younger writers such as Jonathan Franzen and David Foster Wallace – appear to quarantine the topic.

Abstract:
The coronavirus pandemic, which started in late 2019, is one of the devastating crises that has affected human lives and the economies of many countries across the globe. Though economies have been affected, some sectors (such as food and fisheries sectors) are more vulnerable and prone to the deleterious impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper highlights the various disruptions (safety at workplace, loss of harvest and processing activity, loss of export opportunities and income) faced by the Newfoundland and Labrador fisheries due to several restrictive measures (especially on mobility, social distancing, quarantine, and, in extreme cases, lockdown) to curtail the spread of the virus. Additionally, this paper makes a case that Newfoundland and Labrador fisheries can be managed sustainably during and after the pandemic by suggesting practical recommendations borrowed from two sustainability frameworks (Canadian Fisheries Research Network and the EU Setting the Right Safety Net framework) for managing fisheries in Canada and the European Union.

Covid-19 is a category B type infection, but it has created a serious threat across the globe because the pandemic spread more quickly than any other in history. Before the spring festival, the epidemic in China just begun. Different measures, including mobilization of health care workers, building new hospitals and imposing the lockdown, were undertaken to minimize the spread. In South Korea, the measures were implemented under strong and coordinated government leadership. The developing countries, including India and Iran, have taken the steps like travel limitations, specified hospitals, testing laboratories, quarantine facilities, awareness campaigns and lockdown, which aided a great deal in taking the flooding tide of diseases back to a controllable level. Also, educational institutions, industrial establishments and hospitality services for other patients were suspended for the sake of critically ill Covid-19 patients.

Abstract:
Purpose: The aim of the study was to determine the perception of students of Kenya Medical Training College Mombasa on its safety after conversion into a quarantine center.Methodology: The study was conducted at KMTC Mombasa, using a descriptive cross-sectional design, where students were selected using multistage sampling. Sample size determination was done using Fischer’s statistical formula at a confidence level of 95% (p=95%). Data was collected using a structured online survey questionnaire and a focused group discussion. Analysis of data was done using SPSS and results presented in Excel tables and narrations.Findings: 65.2% (165) of the students felt the college was safe for resumption of studies while 34.8% (88) felt the college was unsafe. 56% (93) of those who felt the college was safe stated that safety is a personal responsibility and that they would observe the recommended measures. 22% (36) had confidence that the institution would implement all the measures possible to ensure safety of the facility upon reopening. Two reasons advanced by the students as to why they felt the college was unsafe were; proximity of the college to an isolation center and interaction with other students cited by 31% (27) and 30% (26) of the students respectively. The study demonstrated a significant relationship between students’ department and how comfortable they were to use the hostels after getting back to college (p=0.036). Students felt safest to use the library while the toilets were the least safe.Unique contribution to theory, practice and Policy: The perception of students towards safety of their learning institution after its use as quarantine center during a pandemic has not been reported in literature. The findings of this study are important for leaders and policy makers across sectors in guiding decision making in instances where public facilities may need to be converted to serve other purposes. Stakeholders may have reservations as to whether the usual users are going to feel safe in such facilities after its temporary use.

Abstract:
Kite flying is a popular hobby and sport for children and adults. Despite being illegal in Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil, the use of abrasive threads remains widespread and poses a health risk to both humans and animals. In this study, we analysed the records of 462 magnificent frigatebirds ( Fregata magnificens) submitted to rehabilitation centres or found dead along the southern coast of Rio de Janeiro state from October 2016 to August 2020. Of these, 244 individuals (52.8%) presented wing lesions consistent with kite-string injury, which can have a critical impact on the ability of frigatebirds to fly and will ultimately cause their death. Even when veterinary care is provided, only a small proportion of the individuals (2%) will fully recover the ability to fly in order to be released back to the wild. In 2020, an atypical increase in the number of individuals with kite-string injuries (1,200% increase compared to other years) was noted in the weeks following the suspension of school activities and commerce in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of frigatebirds with kite-string injuries recorded in a given week was positively correlated with internet searches for kite-related terms, which also peaked during the quarantine period of the COVID-19 pandemic. This illustrates how pandemic events may aggravate existing human-wildlife conflicts, and how preparedness plans need to incorporate measures to help communities cope with boredom and isolation during quarantine in ways that do not negatively impact the welfare and conservation of wildlife.

Abstract:
Abstract. The pandemic COVID-2019 has been an unexpected challenge for the economies of many countries. In order to avoid the rapid spread of the disease, the governments of most countries imposed quarantine, forcibly closed borders, imposed restrictions on the movement of the population, and so on. Obviously, this provoked instability in financial markets, sharp fluctuations in national exchange rates and worsened the economic expectations of the population. In the scientific article, the authors conducted a study of the deposit policy of Ukrainian banks in this economic instability, which was provoked by the COVID-2019 pandemic. Based on statistical data, the structure of deposits of legal entities and individuals, the dynamics of interest rates, the regional distribution of deposits, as well as identified the leading banks to raise funds. The authors obtained unexpected conclusions about the lack of significant impact of the pandemic on the deposit market. Despite all the negative forecasts, there was no significant outflow of deposits in Ukraine, rather the opposite — banks were able to increase the amount of funds raised from individuals and legal entities. However, the negative expectations of the population affected the structure of deposit resources, in particular, in the analyzed period the share of demand deposits and short-term deposits increased significantly. Based on the analysis of experts’ opinions, as well as the forecast of the main economic indicators that have an impact on the deposit market, three scenarios for further development of Ukraine’s economy and the banking sector were developed and substantiated — optimistic, critical and realistic. According to the authors, the most reasonable in these conditions may be a realistic scenario that will provide positive dynamics in the growth of basic economic indicators, which will affect the growth of deposit resources in banks, while taking into account potential non-economic risks that could destabilize the situation. The findings can be applied in developing strategies for the development of individual banks and the banking system as a whole. Abstract:
Covid-19 stopped the World. When all humanity is worried about their health, is there still any room for technical sciences and environmental engineering? In this work, It will be proved, that the answer is yes. Major challenges, such as climate change, are still valid. In addition, being in a quarantine still we have access to clean water and electricity. Without these goods, our lives in these conditions would be much harder. Investments in renewable energy sources are still being carried out. Covid-19 will not bring the end of the World as such, but the end of the World as we know it. Some sectors of the economy (tourism, public transport, in particular air transport) may cease to exist and the service sector will face a deep recession. This means a gigantic economic crisis and retraction of the World development many years back.

Abstract:
OF GOOD QUARANTINE PRACTICES IN THE SPREAD OF VIRUS DISEASES OF VANNAMEI SHRIMP (Litopenaeus vannamei) IN PROVINCE OF LAMPUNG. Lampung is one of the largest whiteleg shrimp (L. vannamei) producers in Indonesia. Whiteleg shrimp productivity in Lampung has fluctuated, one of which is due to infectious by virus disease. This study evaluated the current status of WSSV, IHHNV and WSSV diseases in whiteleg shrimp cultivation and assesses the effectivity of CKIB implementation in preventing the outspread of the shrimp viral diseases in Lampung. In this study, data from general samples, diseases monitoring/surveillance and Good Quarantine Practices (GQP) activities in 2019 were collected and then analyzed descriptively. Here, were report the emergence of shrimp viral diseases, e.g. WSSV, IHHNV and WSSV, in whiteleg shrimp aquaculture in Lampung. Infected shrimp were found in 8.97% of 624 tested samples. WSSV has the highest infection rate (58.9%) and followed by IMNV and IHHNV (33.9% and 7.1%, respectively). The samples collected from whiteleg shrimp aquaculture centre that applied GQP showed negative viral disease infection. These results demonstrate that consistent application of GQP in whiteleg shrimp cultivation can prevent the spread of shrimp viral disease.

Abstract:
The sanitary and epidemiological situation that developed at the beginning of this year due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection and the subsequent quarantine measures had a negative impact on the Russian economy. The government of the Russian Federation, the Central Bank, the Federal Assembly, and heads of state authorities responded to the pandemic as soon as possible and took measures to support the population, the sectors of the economy at risk, small and medium-sized businesses, and system-forming enterprises. Additional financial assistance was provided to families with children, citizens who lost their jobs, small and medium-sized businesses, and regional budgets. In addition, earned credit programs on concessionary terms In the article the basic state measures, which helped in difficult times of crisis to preserve the stability of the financial system and support demand of the population is presented indicators of the dynamics of business. However, the modern economy needs a broader set of measures that will allow businesses not only to overcome difficulties, but also to develop at a faster pace, since the negative effect on the Russian economy from a decrease in external demand and restrictive measures to combat the spread of coronavirus may have at the end of this 2020 year.

Abstract:
Nowadays, it is necessary to consider the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the state of the national economy, in particular on the budget system. This paper examines the essence of budget security and identifies the key threats to budget security in the current context. The methodological aspects of calculating Ukraine’s budget security key indicators (their list, criteria for the use of weighting factors, range of characteristic values of budget security levels) are investigated and their state in 2015–2019 is assessed. The influence of quarantine measures on the level of budget security in Ukraine is determined. Analysis of the current state of budget security and development prospects of Ukraine, determined by the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, made it possible to predict Ukraine’s budget security indicators for 2020–2021 and define prospects for changing budget security of Ukraine until 2024. Based on the results of forecasting, the need was identified for planning and implementing urgent anti-crisis measures in the field of managing the country’s budget security, as well as ensuring the consistency of the norms of budget and tax legislation in integration with effective measures to support the socio-economic environment of Ukraine.

Abstract:
The article provides information on the biology of Acroptilon repens (L.) DC. This species is a perennial root weed from the Asteraceae family. It is included in the list of quarantine plants of the Russian Federation. In the South Urals the species appeared not long ago and is classified as potentially invasive. In the Republic of Bashkortostan the first record of the species dates back to 2013. The aim of the research was to study the biological characteristics and parameters of coenopopulations (CP) of a dangerous quarantine plant under new living conditions in the Republic of Bashkortostan in comparison with the previously formed invasive coenopopulations of the Orenburg region. Three localities of invasion of A. repens were examined (1 in the Republic of Bashkortostan and 2 in the Orenburg region) during the expedition trips in 2018. The research specifies that the maximum height of plants (47.9 cm) and most other morphometric parameters are registered in the Shkunovka CP. The highest percentage of the species participation in the community is also observed there (82.9 %). The largest number of shoots per 1 m2 (31.3) was found in the Kumertau CP. The Divnopolye CP and Shkunovka CP have similar indexes of morphometric parameters. The Kumertau CP is different from the CPs of Orenburg region in most parameters. Predominance of individuals of the highest class is noted in two coenopopulations of Orenburg region. They are classified as prosperous coenopopulations and Kumertau CP as a depressive one. The discriminant analysis proves that in all coenopopulations of A. repens, individuals are morphostructurally different, with no overlap between them. The Kumertau CP is phenotypically the most distant from the Divnopolye CP and Shkunovka CP.
