Abstract:
ABSTRACT Introduction Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College Hospital and Research Centre in Pune, India has been a pioneer institute with 831 beds, with learned faculty, residents, and trained nursing and supportive staff. Top management decided to further improve quality and safety in patient care and accordingly felt the need to acquire accreditation under the banner of National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH). As a first step toward this, a quality assurance department was established and entrusted with the task to identify areas needing improvement. “Prescription profile of medications” was identified as one of the core areas needing improvement as medication errors are mostly due to faulty prescriptions. The aim of this study was to measure the compliance of indoor patient prescriptions towards standard guidelines. Methods Top management of the hospital envisaged that preparing for NABH accreditations would be one of the tools for improving patient safety and quality. Hence, in addition to a quality assurance department, a separate department of clinical pharmacy and pharmacovigilance was also established, specifically to take care of medication safety, including prescription profile. Interventions were designed based on observations in the preintervention phase. Interventions included regular monitoring of prescriptions, medication safety, and repeated training sessions for physicians by the department of clinical pharmacy and quality assurance. Results Compliance by physicians regarding most of the components of prescriptions showed improvement. There has been a substantial reduction in medication errors (in patient days). Conclusion The improvement in compliance of components of prescriptions and reduction in medication errors was attributable to applied interventions.

Abstract:
Purpose The high rate of internet penetration has led to the proliferation of social media (SM) use, even at the workplace, including academia. This research attempts to develop a topology and thereby determine the dominant use motive for faculty’s use of SM. Design/methodology/approach In this two-part study, a two-stage research design has been adopted for topology development based on the application of Uses and Gratifications Theory. In the second part, the Technology Acceptance Model is applied to discern the dominant motive for SM use in academia. Findings The work is able to develop a seven-item topology, conforming to the basic three use motives, namely, hedonic, utilitarian and social. The work shows faculty attach more value to the instrumental utility of SM, while the hedonic function is also significant. Practical implications Discerning dominant motive implies that SM use at the workplace should not be banned, rather effective regulated use will instil the faculty to enhance work outcomes. The conceptualisation of topology for SM use in academia at the workplace can aid in designing an effective organisation policy, and design of an internal SM platform. Originality/value The study is unique towards topology development for academic faculty and has many important implications for management and academia, especially towards policy design for SM use at the workplace.

The remarkable yet untold story of the straggles to democratize African political systems is that they owe much of their recent success to the pivotal role played by university student groups and faculty associations as animateurs of protest demonstrations, debates about issues deemed taboo by the state, and as organizers of militant campus movements. At a time when most associational groups were banned or rendered politically impotent by being incorporated into existing state structures in order for them to serve state interests, secondary and university student groups and faculties remained virtually the only sources of pressure and protest against authoritarian regimes on the continent. Thus, from Dakar to Nairobi, from Addis Ababa to Harare, student movements and demonstrations, fought pitched battles with state security personnel and stimulated civilian opposition movements.

Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia, is accessed by over 1.5 billion users each month, yet remains stigmatized in the academic world. Many faculty demonstrate reluctance in allowing students to use Wikipedia as part of their research and writing projects due to the open access nature of the site and have all but banned its use in their courses. In this article, we evaluate implications of our pedagogical decision to embed a Wikipedia editing assignment into our respective undergraduate courses at a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) in South Texas. First, we describe students’ initial reactions to Wikipedia as disrupting the classroom. Second, we examine the outcomes of the assignment in our Latinx students’ recognizing their work on Wikipedia as an act of decolonizing the classroom. In particular, we show the extent to which students a) claim authority, b) develop an ownership of knowledge, c) forge identities as public scholars, and d) develop a civic responsibility through their work on Wikipedia. We conclude with a discussion of recommendations for implementing assignments on digital citizenship in college classrooms, particularly in HSIs.

After it is confirmed that there is indeed necessity behind the action, I will explain concepts of interaction, Canvas LMS and speaking skills. The participants of this research are students in second grade of SMAN 4 senior high school. They are selected as data resource to know about interaction and effects of using Canvas LMS. From them, I retrieve data to be analyzed. By giving questionnaire, observing and conducting independent sample t-test method gives me some findings to discuss. The results show that there is indeed necessity in doing English speaking lessons in Canvas LMS. Moreover it is about students’ interaction and effects to improve English speaking skills. First is about interaction, it is the main ingredient in any kinds of learning methods. There are three main types introduced my Moore (1989), there are learner-instructor, learner- learner and learner-content. Those types necessary appear in web based learning. These interactions lead to improve students’ speaking skills too.

Abstract:
The gubernatorial election of 1892 unnerved faculty members at Kansas State Agricultural College (KSAC). Voted into office by a “fusion” of Populists and Democrats, Governor Lorenzo Lewelling filled four vacant seats on the college's seven-member governing board, overturning a Republican Party majority for the first time in the college's history. These new regents included radicals such as Edward Secrest, a farmer who pledged to “change the order of things” at KSAC, and Christian Balzac Hoffman, a miller, banker, and politician who had founded an ill-fated socialist colony in Topolobampo, Mexico. Populist interest in KSAC intensified in 1897, when a different fusionist governing board promoted Professor Thomas E. Will to the college presidency. Born on an Illinois farm, Will attended a normal school before proceeding to Harvard University, where he chaffed within “the citadel of a murderous economic system.” When offered the chair of political economy at KSAC, Will had been lecturing, writing for reform periodicals, and serving as secretary of a Christian socialist organization called The Boston Union for Practical Progress. Although he never formally joined a Populist organization, Will shared the movement's commitment to erasing class distinctions in politics and education. Following Will's inauguration, a Populist regent exulted that the masses had finally “scaled the gilded halls of the universities.”

Abstract:
Introduction: Anemia may hampered children growth and development that leads to a seriously long term problem because in anemic condition the oxygen intake into the body impeded. As addition, the insufficient oxygen intake may cause neurological problem and behavior disorder such as motoric physical activity, social interaction, and concentration inability. Anemia on children is possible to lower their intellectual intelligence into ten to 15 points as well as lower learning ability compared with the normal ones. Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 2012 stated that 22 millions of Indonesian children suffer anemia that caused the losses of five to fifteen point intellectual intelligence, good learning achievement and 2.5% bright future. Objective: of this study was to identify the correlation between anemia and learning achievement of elementary students at SegalaMider 3 Elementary School of Bandar Lampung Municipality in 2018. Method: This study was a quantitative research with correlation method. The research design was analytical survey with cross sectional approach. The population of this study included 83 students at Grade III to Grade VI of SegalaMider 3 Elementary School of Bandar Lampung Municipality. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Result: The students of SegalaMider 3 Elementary School of Bandar Lampung Municipality in 2018 were mostly anemic amounting to 53 respondents (63.8%). On the other sides, 43 respondents (51.8%) had good learning achievement. Conclusion: Based on the statistical analysis, the p value was 0.029 or p value < 0.05 denoting the correlation between anemia and learning achievement of elementary students at SegalaMider 3 Elementary School of Bandar Lampung Municipality in 2018. The result of this study can be used by the school as information to evaluate the students’ bad achievement in designing additional learning time. Abstract:

In gauging Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, observation is often used by researchers in evaluating CPTED elements in residential areas. However, the evaluation on attitude, reaction, belief, responsibility and perception of the residents on CPTED elements are also important to be considered. Therefore, a survey on the perception of residents on CPTED elements was conducted in non-gated and gated residential areas located at Putrajaya and Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. The results found that the Territoriality and Maintenance dimension achieved a good ßt index where the values for GFI, TLI and CFI exceeded 0.90 and the RMSEA value was less than 0.05.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Physical environmental elements such as gated elements are believed to have an effect towards the reduction of fear of crime in residential neighbourhoods. In Malaysia, the typical form of residences is that involving gated individual houses, while residences without gated elements are relatively a new development concept. Therefore, a survey on fear of crime among residents in housing areas with gated and non-gated residences was conducted in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor and Precinct 9B, Putrajaya. This research discovered that respondents inhabiting a gated residential area exhibit a higher fear of crime level (M=5.84, SD=1.23) when compared to respondents living in a non-gated residential area (M=3.85, SD=1.66).

Abstract:
ABSTRACTThe essay reminds us of the effects of Paul Speratus, that early follower of Luther who died 450 years ago and who, probably unjustly, has enjoyed little attention in recent decades. At the beginning of 1522, the former Würzburg cathedral preacher was excommunicated by the theology faculty of the University of Vienna, because of a sermon that he had preached in St. Stephan’s Cathedral in Vienna - one of the first that argued against clerical vows of celibacy. From that time, Speratus aligned himself with the faction of reform-minded critics of scholasticism. Nevertheless, he found a new position as pastor in Iglau (Moravia), from which, however, King Ludwig of Hungary attempted to drive him. The congregation initially banded together in defense of their pastor, but under the pressure of the cross it did not persevere. Speratus had to yield and turned toward Wittenberg. There he gained attention as the translator of three writings of Luther, among others the Formula Missae|. In addition, he wrote the lyrics of the great Reformation hymn, Es ist das Heil uns kommen her|. A later song about the Augsburg Diet of 1530 expressed the problem of resistance. After 1524, Speratus took his final post, as court preacher in the young Duchy of Prussia and evangelical Bishop of Pomerania. His contribution to the history of the Prussian Reformation is deserving of a new evaluation.

Abstract:
Sorghum is a type of carbohydrate-producing serelia plant. Sorghum has a great potential to be developed in Indonesia. Seed storing time is the time period of the seed storage before the seed is planted again, while the storage of the seed is carried out with the aim of maintaining seed viability in the save period for as long as possible and can be used for the next planting period. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of storage time on seed vigor and sprouts of Kawali and P/F-10-90A genotypes. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Seed and Plant Breeding, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, Bandar Lampung which runs from February 2017 until February 2018. This study uses split plot design with 3 group replications. The main plot is the storage time (LS) that was consisted of 0, 4, 8 and 12 months storage time period. Subplot is genotype (G), which consists of Kawali (G1 ) and P / F-10-90A (G2). The results showed that seed vigor and sprouts decreased significantly at 4 and 8 months storage time with the percentage of dead seeds 16.7% and 40.7%, while the percentage of normal strong sprouts at 4 months amounted to 74% for genotype P/ F-10-90A and 8 months 54% for genotype Kawali. P/F-10 -90A genotypes have higher seed vigor and sprouts vigor compared to Kawali genotypes as indicated by dead seed variables, strong normal sprouts, normal sprout length canopy, long root primary roots, normal sprouts, dry weight normal sprouts, and normally strong sprouts. The effect of interaction between storage time and genotype was shown by seed vigor of genotype P/F-10-90-A seedlings which were proven to be superior for 4, 8 and 12-month storage time period. Excellence of genotype P/F-10-90-A make it can be stored and was allowed to be used as good seed on next season farming.

 Research Highlights

The study is dealing with the product implementation of mobile learning media for Arabic lesson by utilizing android communication tool with offline operational system. This is to explore the effectiveness of mobile learning media towards students’ Arabic lesson achievement. Data collection was carried out using pre-test and post-test with multiple choice test instrument. To analyze the data, the paired samples t-test was employed and it was obtained that the value of tcritical= 14.342 while the value of ttable = 2.086 at a significant level of α = 0.05. This means that tcritical = 14.342 > ttable = 2.086. Thus, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. As such, it can be concluded that the implementation of mobile learning media for Arabic lesson is highly effective to improve students’ achievement at Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic senior high school) in Lampung, Indonesia.

The benefits of using mobile learning in general are: 1) more affordable than buying PCs and laptops, 2) more diverse and varied in delivering the learning material, 3) encouraging the teachers to carry out continuous learning because students always have their smartphones on them, 4) lowering the cost of the learning process because it does not have to be conducted in class, 5) having a better potential in providing experiential learning, 6) increasing literacy, 7) increasing the number of participants in education, and 8) having more communication features because they are able to send text, audio, and audio-visuals between mobile phones (Mehdipour, 2013).

 Materials and Methods
The study belongs to implementation research (Experimental Research). The independent variable is mobile learning media, while the dependent one is students’ achievement of Arabic lesson at Madrasah Aliyah in Lampung, Indonesia. The sample, a group of 35 students in class IX IPA as the experimental class, was taken using purposive random sampling technique. The study was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung for 5 sessions in the odd semester of 2018/2019 academic year. Data were collected using test, observation, documentation and interview. Before implemented, the instruments had been validated by the experts of content and language to assure the content and construct validity.
Data analysis was executed by comparing the scores of pre-test and post-test using the paired samples t-test. Prior to the use of t-test analysis, the normality test and homogeneity test were carried out as a prerequisite for conducting the t-test analysis. The normality test is a prerequisite test to find out whether the data used in the study is normally distributed or not so that it can be used to test the hypothesis. The normality testing technique of this study was the Liliefors test. The homogeneity test used in this study was the F-test. The results of the normality and homogeneity tests calculation showed that the data of pre-test and post-test was normally distributed and homogeneous.

 Results
The implementation of mobile learning media for Arabic lesson at Madrasah Aliyah in Lampung, Indonesia shows high effectiveness to improve students’ achievement. It is in agreement with a previous study conducted by Halawani (2008) entitled “Arabic Sign Language Translation System (ArSL-TS) on Mobile Devices”, and its result is: “we proposed the ArSL-TS for the text translating into sign language animations on mobile devices. Since ArSL-TS is intended for mobile deaf users (Arab people), we based it on a standard Arabic sign language and provide animation and instant feedback about the meaning of the arabic text”. Another study entitled “E-learning modules supported by cooperative learning: Impact on Arabic language achievement among Qatar University students” which found out that the overall achievement of university level students improved with the implementation of a cost-free cooperative e-learning approach (Hassan and Fook, 2012).
The relevant previous studies indicate that mobile learning instructional model affected positively upon the Arabic lesson achievement. In fact, with proper design mobile learning media may facilitate effective learning as students may find it easy to 1) attain expected competency, 2) explore knowledge and skills, 3) have longer retention of the learning materials, and 4) apply the lesson into practice (Koderi, 2014).

 Findings
This research findings include 1) mobile learning media for Arabic lesson is characterized by the interesting and practical auditory visualization as well as variative questions for assessment; 2) mobile learning everywhere which means that students and teacher may use it anywhere and any time; 3) mobile learning friendly meaning that close relationship between teacher and students appear as they use the media together; 4) students can be concentrated to study by focusing on their personal small smartphonr screen; and 5) process of instruction will run more comfortably as with the use of mobile phone learning may take place more rapidly, and time of learning is adjustable to the activities and times of day.

Abstract:
Intisari — Gedung A Fakultas Teknik Unila berlokasi di Jalan S. Brojonegoro No. 1 Bandar Lampung.
Abstract — A building Faculty of Engineering Unila is located at Jalan S. Brojonegoro No. 1 Bandar Lampung. The use of electrical energy in A building is not recorded definitively because it’s not available kwh meter in building it’s own, so it can’t be ascertained whether the use of energy is efficient or not. Therefore, it is necessary to audit the use of electrical energy in order to know the value of Energy Consumption Intensity (IKE) that provides information on the level of energy efficiency. Energy audits on buildings not only provide efficient level of information, but also provide recommendations for actions that can be taken to achieve efficient value without compromising the sense of comfort in conducting activities in the space in each audited building. Direct measurement of energy consumption is an audit method conducted in this research to obtain actual value and opportunities in the framework of energy conservation and efficiency. From the measurement obtained IKE value is 9,487kwh/m2/month and belongs to the efficient category for air-conditioned buildings according to Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources No.13 of 2012, but nevertheless some equipment use is still wasteful of energy so that there are possible opportunities that can be done to be more efficient. Recommendations given with regard to the results of audits and findings in the field are to use energy efficient equipment, regulate room temperature that does not exceed 10% lower than the outdoor temperature, perform periodic maintenance of electrical equipment, close windows when the air conditioner is on, install door closers on the main door and discipline in the operation of electrical equipment. This recommendation can reduce the value of IKE to 8,424 kwh/m2/month (very efficient). Keywords— Energy Audit, IKE, the building of FT-Unila, energy eficiency

Abstract:
In the years after the first circulation of Sidereus Nuncius, Galileo’s Padua anti-Copernican colleague, the staunch Aristotelian philosopher, Cesare Cremonini, published a book on ‘traditional’ cosmology, Disputatio de coelo in tres partes divisa (Venice, 1613) which puzzled the Roman authorities of the Inquisition and the Index much more than any works on celestial novelties and ‘neo-Pythagorean’ astronomy. Cremonini’s disputation on the heavens has the form of an over-intricate comment of Aristotle’s conceptions, in the typically argumentative style of Scholasticism. Nonetheless, it immediately raised the concern of Cardinal Bellarmin, the Pope and other Inquisitors. At a close reading, Cremonini’s interpretation of Aristotle’s cosmos proved radically anti- Christian. It represented a radicalization of Pomponazzian Alexandrism. In fact, Cremonini did not only circulate Aristotelian principles used by Pomponazzi to argue for the soul’s mortality (first, no thought is possible without imagination and the latter faculty is dependent on the body; secondly, all that is generated will eventually perish). He also wiped away all transcendence from the Aristotelian cosmos. In fact, he marginalized the function of the motive Intelligences by explaining heavenly motions through the action of animal-like inseparable souls although he did not erase nor reduced all Intelligences to only one, in accordance with Alexander. Also, he put at the center of Aristotle’s cosmos the idea of its eternity, a thesis which he explicitly connected with the rejection of the idea of God the Creator. Cremonini assumed that the universal efficiens, that is the efficient cause of all motion and change in the world, is nothing but the first heaven. As a result of this radically naturalist reading of Aristotle, he banned God from the cosmos, reduced Him to the final cause of the world, and deprived Him of any efficiency and will. This essay on less explored sources of Renaissance astronomical debates considers the institutional, cultural and religious setting of Cremonini’s teaching and conceptions. It assesses the reasons for his troubles with the religious authorities, and the political support he was granted by the Serenissima Republic of Venice inspite of the scandalous opinions he circulated as a university professor. My reconstruction of his views is based on the Disputatio de coelo of 1613 and later works, which are directly connected with cosmo-theological polemics with the religious authorities: his Apologia dictorum Aristotelis de quinta coeli substantia (1616) and the unpublished book De coeli efficientia, two manuscript copies of which are preserved in the libraries of Padua and Venice.

Effect of doses of coffee skin waste compost on the growth of several arabica coffee seed varieties. This study aims to determine the effect of doses of coffee skin waste compost and varieties of arabica coffee seedlings on the growth of coffee seedlings. This research was carried out on farmer-owned plantations and plant physiology laboratories majoring in Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Aceh, Shiite University, Aceh from April to July 2018. This study used a randomized block design of factorial 3 x 3 and 3 replications, so there were 27 experimental units and continued with an honest real difference test at the level of 5% on a significant f test result. The first factor is the variety with 3 levels, namely: Ateng widows, Ateng super, and Ateng keumala varieties. The second factor is the dose of coffee skin waste compost with 3 levels, namely 25% and 50% control. The parameters observed were seedling height, stem base diameter, number of leaves, wet weighted weight and dry weighted weight. The results showed that the treatment of varieties significantly affected wet weight and dry weight at 90 HSPT and did not affect other parameters. Giving several concentrations of local microorganisms significantly affected the number of leaves of the age 8 cacao seedlings of coffee skin waste compost that had no significant effect on all observed parameters. There is no real interaction between the treatment of varieties and doses of coffee skin waste compost.
